Hi everyone!

So, today's chapter will focus on the battle and will most likely be the second-to-last chapter of the actual story.

But have no fear, my loyal readers, Sonic's story won't end here. He will make appearances throughout my series as will most of the Mobians, minus Sally, Antionne, Bunnie, Rouge and Blaze. The reason these five will be phased out is because:

1) Sally has the role of ruling Mobius and its citizens.

2) Antionne is "Zee Capitan of Zee Guard' and as such, has his duties.

3) I cant keep Bunnie away from her "Man?'.

4) Rouge is a complicated character to understand.

5) Blaze is the same as Rouge, for me at least.

Anyway, lets start our weekly chapter, shall we.

"IMCOMING VESSLES!" A Viking screamed from atop the Catapault Tower before a Mech-Dragon practically Kamikaze-ed it.(if you don't know what a Kamikaze is, you could search it up) Toothless leaped up and along the burning tower, Hiccup sitting on his saddle as they grabbed the Viking from the platform before it could collapse and glided to safety.

"Thanks!" The Viking shouted to Hiccup and Toothless as they flew back into the air before he joined a unit of other Berkians and Highlanders in battle.

'Come on, bud. Let's find the other riders," Hiccup shouted over the wind to Toothless, who quickly obeyed.

Snotlout and Merida flew towards the Mech-Dragon swarm circling throughout and around Berk. Most of the buildings were already on fire and the battle had already expanded to the sea, as the entire fleet of Berk had cast off to counter the fast approaching enemy fleet. At the head of this, was Gobber's metal ramming vessel, which he called, an "Ironclad".

"Lout, Get me in closa!" Merida shouted as she grabbed an arrow from her quiver and placed said arrow into her bow.

"You've got it babe," Snotlout replied, to which, Merida smiled in appreciation as she continued to concentrate. She released the arrow and the tip pierced straight through the eyes and brain. The beast plummeted downwards, crashing in to two other mechs and sending them into the vast ocean below.

"Dragonseye!" Merida cheered at her handiwork.

The other teens, along with Sonic, Amy, Tails, Cosmo, Knuckles, Silver, Rouge, Blaze and Shadow witnessed the amazing spectacle. "Whoa," was about all they were able to muster. Hiccup pulled ahead, complimenting Merida's archery by saying, "Wow, I mean, just... wow," (Hey, he managed to say more than the others) before a giant mech appeared and whacked Hiccup off of Toothless; screaming in pain as he felt something break. As they fell, Hiccup saw something purple that clipped Toothless' tail, causing him to lose a scale, before the whole world went black.

However, Hiccup still felt the pain, still heard the wind' he opened his emerald eyes to be met with acid green ones. Before he could respond, Toothless used his paws to sling Hiccup back on. The young Viking held on tightly as Toothless opened his wings, allowing them to slow and safely land. Hiccup clutched his left hand to his right side and winced in pain as he felt two broken ribs and a gash in his side. Luckily, his shield had protected him from any further harm.

He looked up to see a massive flying contraption (a blimp) attacking the other riders and knew he had to get back up their. He removed his bloody hand and quickly found some fabric and rope. He placed the fabric on his side and used the rope to secure it in place, wincing every now and then due to the pain.

"Hiccup!" Astrid landed beside Hiccup and jumped off with a worried expression," Come on. We're getting you inside," and with that, she attempted to help-drag-him to the Great Hall.

"Astrid, I'm not leaving them," Hiccup climbed onto Toothless making sure to keep pressure over his wound.

"Hiccup, I..." Astrid started, but cut herself off due to his stubborn determination, "...Fine, but I'm keeping on you, no matter what."

Hiccup nodded and he and Toothless flew back up to the other riders, Astrid following in quick succession. However, once they reached the blimp, they saw no dragons, no riders flying about, attacking the blimp.

"OOHOHOHO!" Came the booming voice of Eggman, who had walked up onto the podium atop the sky ship, Alvin, Dagur and Ingrid joining him, "Did you really think that you stood a chance against us."

"Eggman, what have you done with Sonic and the others?" Hiccup demanded in the most empowered voice he could.

"Stop with pretending to be tough," Alvin shouted at Hiccup, "and as for yer' friends," Alvin gestured to a hole in the platform. From this hole came a smaller platform. On top, Sonic, his friends and the teens had been bound and gagged. Behind them, their dragons

"Well," Eggman continued, "You can surrender and join your friends there, or die at my merciless hands!"

Astrid watched Eggman with pure hatred, but Hiccup had noticed Snotlout and Merida were not tied up with the others. He quickly peered over the side and noticed Merida and Snotlout firing arrows into the balloon, which was losing altitude quickly. Not far off, the Ironclad closing in. Hiccup knew he needed to buy them some time, so he did the only thing he knew to do.

"Fine, Eggman; you win," Hiccup told him, "We surrender."

Astrid looked shocked at him, but she quickly saw what he had seen and understood.

"Wonderful," Eggman clapped before turning to two Outcasts, "tie them up immediately."

Both men forced the teens onto the ground, tying their arms behind their backs, binding their legs, gagging them and throwing them into the pile with their friends. They then proceeded to chain the dragons, who complied, due to their own knowledge of the plan.

"Excellent," Eggman clapped again,"but you must've realized I was still going to kill you."

At this, Dagur, Ingrid and a unit of bots readied machine guns and other weapons. Dagur had his crossbow aimed at Toothless, while Ingrid had hers aimed at Hiccup. The other riders struggled to escape as Eggman started shout out..."

"READY!"

"AIM!"

Hiccup prepared to die, knowing that the likeliness of surviving was slim now.

"Fi—" Eggman was cut off as the sound of metal piercing metal screeched through the air and a forceful jolt, knocking everyone to the ground, including Dagur and Ingrid who had been crushed by a heap of robots. The Ironclad had done its damage, piercing the iron plating encasing the underbelly of the blimp.

Merida and Snotlout appeared on Hookfang, "Need a hand?" She shouted before firing arrows at the ropes and chains binding her friends and their dragons. The riders quickly picked themselves up and climbed onto their dragons.

"All right, everyone, ready? FIRE!" Hiccup commanded to the others. A wave of fire came down upon the blimp, causing it to collapse in on itself and sinking, taking with it the last operational Mech-Dragons.

All the riders cheered as the blimp fell to the flames. They looked over to see the remains of the enemy fleet in full retreat. One ship had stayed behind, it's occupants, including Savage and Mildew, helping Alvin, Eggman, Dagur and Ingrid from the water.

"YOU'LL REGRET THAT, YOU FILTH INFESTED WORMS!" Eggman screamed, to which Merida replied, "Oh, jus' put a sock in it," as she fired an arrow directly at him.

"Ahhhhh!" Eggman screamed in both fury and fear as he barely dodged the arrow. With that, the enemy was gone and the battle, won.

Three Days Later...

Hiccup and Toothless flew to Raven point, landing on the cliff next to Sonic and Turbo

"Hey, Sonic," he greeted.

"Morning," Sonic replied as he climbed onto Turbo, "Have the Highlanders already left?"

"Unfortunately, yes," Hiccup replied, "but Merida is staying here for a few months, so Snotlout's giddy."

"Yeah, I guess he would be like that," Sonic remarked.

"So," Hiccup continued, "What's your new village like?" He referred to the village they had built for the Mobians, of which they had managed to find the entire population on Berk. Due to the size of the population, the village had been built on the opposite side of the island, the only place big enough to hold it.

"It's awesome!" Sonic remarked, "Everyone loves it. Tails and Cosmo have moved in with each other. Amy opened her own restaurant. Even Knuckles is enjoying it, especially since he found the Master Emerald."

"Wait?" Hiccup asked, "What's the Master Emerald?"

"That's for another time," Sonic smiled, "Now, let's go meet up with the others. I bet I can beat you!" and with that Sonic and Turbo took to the sky before Hiccup and Toothless could even answer.

Hiccup just smiled at him and whispered to Toothless, "Smoke 'em, bud."

And with that, best friends took to the skies once again.
