Chapter 9: A reunion
Next morning Kourin finally got conscious and had woken up only to notice that she wasn't here in the first place. "Where...am I?" Kourin thought as she started to look around she soon noticed something soft laying on her bed she was on. She looked at the person who had blue hair and he looked like he had gone through a lot which she had no idea if she was on during those events. Clearly she had lost those memories. Kourin then looked at the boy once again and soon realized.
"Could it be...? Aichi?" Kourin thought as she looked at Aichi who clearly was all worn off. She couldn't help but to smile at Aichi's cute sleeping.
"Aichi...you're as cute as ever even when you sleep...Wait did I really think that?! But then again... It's actually TRUE..." Kourin thought. She still had no idea where she was as that was her first thought she wanted to know. As she was thinking Aichi started to slowly wake up whilst his eyes were all tired and he couldn't first recognise the person that was looking at him. Aichi yawned and rubbed his eyes and soon he saw her. Kourin, right in front of her eyes, woken up as she had regained conscious.
There was a silent moment between the two as they looked at each other. Their hearts started pumping harder and harder and soon they both blushed immediately. Both of them hadn't yet said anything yet. Soon they both opened their mouth and said:
"Good morning Aichi-"
"Good morning K-Kourin-" they both said as they soon noticed that they both said something together at the same time. Soon they both started laughing from that funny moment.
"Welcome back, Kourin." Aichi said as he smiled at Kourin as she was smiling at him as well.
"Thank you, Aichi." Kourin responded as she then came closer towards Aichi and gave him a kiss to the lips. The kiss was even passionate than Aichi had at first thought thanks to him that he was able to save Kourin. Aichi knew that Kourin might not remember anything from yesterday at all but he was glad that she's alright now.
Suddenly after the two had talked a knock on door was heard.
"Aichi? Are you awake?" A voice asked.
"Yeah, come in." Aichi responded as Kourin was still confused where she was. The person then entered the room and Kourin recognised her.
"Emi? So if you're here as well then that means..." Kourin said as she was thinking now the place where she was. Aichi then responded.
"Yes, you're at my home, Kourin." Aichi said as he smiled at Kourin who was now in tears because she finally realized that she was at Aichi's home, the one she had loved. She then blushed heavily and her head started to turn red. Aichi noticed and put his hand on her forehead.
"Are you feeling okay, Kourin? Maybe you should rest-" Aichi said but was interfered by Kourin.
"I-I am alright, okay?!" Kourin said as she was bit embarrassed from Aichi's caring personality. However she admired that personality and knew Aichi tried to mean best for help.
"Heh, I see. Well I'd like to introduce you to another person who'll be at our home for the time being." Aichi said and continued.
"Come here to meet her!" Footsteps were heard as the person Aichi had asked to come meet Kourin. Kourin became a little nervous and asked Aichi who was the person. Aichi just giggled a bit and this made Kourin mutter to Aichi but he assured that Kourin knew the person.
The door then opened and she was then standing in front of Aichi's room and she then stepped in to the room. Kourin immediately recognised her.
"Rekka? What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I asked Aichi if I could stay here for the time being because as you know I usually need to be either at your home or Suiko's home or we all need to be at card shop PSY." Rekka explained.
"But..." She continued and she actually started to smirk at Kourin as she got closer to Aichi.
"W-What are you-" Kourin tried to ask but soon she saw that Rekka had kissed Aichi to the cheek. Kourin was utterly devastated from that unusual moment a while ago. She felt the anger building inside her.
W-WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Kourin asked as she was quite furious and embarrassed that Rekka had just kissed Aichi. She felt her cheeks were heavily red and Aichi, dumbfounded, didn't quite understand why Rekka had just kissed her.
"Hihi, you're easy to get upset from such a small thing, Kourin!" Rekka giggled as she hid behind Aichi when Kourin was about to pummel her for getting close to Aichi. Aichi then started to stress out from Kourin's aura that was filled with jealousy. Kourin then stopped and calmed down.
"Jeez... Did you really have to anger me like that when I finally regained consciousness..." Kourin muttered.
"Oh don't worry I won't be trying to hit Aichi...yet!" Rekka smirked and it made Kourin more uneasy as she had no idea what she was up to. Aichi then interfered after the two had done talking.
"So, shall we go downstairs to have some breakfast, hmh? What do you think, Kourin? Aichi asked as he smiled to Emi, Kourin and Rekka.
"Yeah!" They all said together. The four then marched downstairs Aichi at the front, Kourin following him and Emi and Rekka were behind.
"Good morning you four!" Shizuka greeted as she then smiled at Aichi and gave him a small eye wink. Aichi didn't quite catch the thought of her mother's winking so he felt quite dumbfounded again. Kourin noticed her wink and it made her blush as she got the idea what Aichi's mother meant. The four then sat down to the table, waiting for Shizuka to make the breakfast. Aichi became bored after a short time and decided to help in doing the breakfast with his mother. Shizuka gladly nodded and so the two made the breakfast.
After they had finished preparing it Aichi put the bowls and other stuff to the table. Shizuka put the plates and the rest of the equipment to the table as well. Kourin, Emi and Rekka looked at the breakfast the two had done today.
"It looks delicious..." Kourin said as she was surprised that Aichi had some great skills in doing breakfasts as well.
"Not bad at all." She thought as she then smiled to Aichi.
"So, grab what you'd like to eat!" Aichi said.
"Yes!" The three said at the same time. The four then started eating up.
Kourin was still amazed at Aichi's breakfast he had done to all. She just couldn't take her eyes off from him. Rekka then ate her breakfast along with Emi after a short time.
"Thank you for the breakfast, Aichi and Shizuka!" Emi and Rekka said as they then went upstairs to Emi's room. Kourin was still eating as well as Aichi was too. Not a long time after they both finished eating up. Kourin thanked for the breakfast as she then went to Aichi's room to wait for Aichi. Aichi then followed up to his room. As he entered to his room he saw Kourin who was looking at her. He felt the heat raising on his head as Kourin cutely looked at him still. Kourin then winked his finger, telling Aichi to come sit down to the bed with her. Aichi came to Kourin and sat down with her on his bed.
"Aichi." Kourin said.
"What is it?" Aichi asked.
"Could you tell me what happened while I was... Unconscious"? She asked as she wanted to know what she had probably tried to do to Aichi and to rest.
"Umm... It is actually quite a story but since you asked, I'll tell you." Aichi replied as he started to explain to Kourin.
"...S-sorry if i did cause some trouble to you..." Kourin said a bit saddened as she heard what she had become and did.
"It's alright now, you're back to normal and I am glad to be with you once again!" Aichi said as he cheered Kourin up. Kourin then realized that no matter what obstacle would be on his way, he'd always find a way to break through it. After all that's why she loved him so much.
"Umm..." Aichi said as he looked at Kourin who was away on her thoughts again, seemingly like on a trance.
"Y-Yes?" Kourin said as she snapped out from her thoughts.
"W-What are you thinking now?." Aichi asked but he stuttered expressing the question to Kourin.
"Oh...N-Nothing special!" Kourin retorted quickly as she didn't want Aichi think something... Odd. In fact Kourin wanted to ask Aichi on a date but she was embarrassed to ask such request after what she had done when she was reversed.
"Umm..." Aichi said as he looked for Kourin's attention for a moment.
"Hmm? Kourin expressed herself as she was asking what Aichi wanted.
"I-I-I w-was t-thinking if we c-could go out for a d-date...IF you want to." Aichi said he felt bit embarrassed asking Kourin for a date. He felt the warmth on his body and his heart jumped around like he'd soon collapse. Kourin however, looked really surprised as Aichi actually asked her to date once again.
"Not bad, Aichi...not bad at all." Kourin thought as she smiled. But just as she was about to answer on Aichi's request to go for a date the door opened and Rekka along with Emi came in to Aichi's room. In fact Rekka and Emi were eavesdropping for their conversation.
"Heh, a date huh? Aichi, Aichi, you should ask me to come to your date too!" Rekka said as she grievously smiled at Kourin who was now frustrated that even she wanted to go on a date with Aichi.
"Just great..." Kourin muttered. Aichi weakly laughed as she was surrounded by girls who wanted to go to a date with him. Emi knew that she didn't need to go on a date with him because she sees him anyday anyways.
Aichi then started to think for a solution. Kourin and Rekka were looking at Aichi and at the same they both glared at each other. Kourin didn't want Rekka to interfere hers and Aichi's date while Rekka wanted to tease Kourin even more by just hanging around with Aichi. Aichi then figured a solution.
"I know! This may sound weird but... Since you two wanted to go on a date with me...umm...how about you two would be with me at the same time on a date? Nobody gets left behind and knowing you two you both...umm... L-Like me...so...what do you say? A double date." Aichi suggested as Rekka and Kourin started to think about it.
"Sure! Works for me!" Rekka said immediately as her voice was cherishing. Kourin however knew that Aichi wanted to go in the first place to a date with her. Kourin was puzzled but she then answered as she didn't want to disappoint Aichi.
"S-Sure I guess... If you're okay with that then I am as well!" Kourin said as Aichi smiled happily to her response.
"Perfect! Shall we go to um... fun place? Like umm... amusement park?" Aichi asked
"Sure!" Both Kourin and Rekka said happily.
"Emi, do you want to come along or?" Aichi asked.
"Oh, I don't need to since I see you everyday anyway! Go have fun, Aichi!" Emi said enthusiastically to Aichi. Aichi nodded happily and together with Kourin and Rekka. The trio then left the house and walked towards the amusement park that was at the centre of city. During their journey towards the park Kourin and Rekka were glaring each other and trying to get Aichi's attention but Aichi himself felt dumbfounded again since he didn't know what the two were up to.
Soon after they arrived to the amusement park. Aichi took his wallet and was about to pay for the tickets but Kourin then took her own wallet and split the price of the tickets together with him.
"Kourin…?" Aichi asked.
"Oh come on, it's not like you don't have to a real gentleman paying all by yourself, right?" Kourin retorted but afterwards smiled. Aichi then smiled in return.
"Right!" Aichi said enthuastically. As the two paid the tickets the three then marched through the main entrance and here they were, at the amusement park.
"Here we are then. Ready to have some fun?" Aichi asked as he happily smiled to Kourin and Rekka.
"Yes!" The two said.
Aichi immediately grabbed Kourin's and Rekkas's hand and they then went to the amusement park.
After 30 minutes:
The trio got to amusement park. they first decided to look around some places like aquarium and some water shows together. They then went to rollercoaster. As Kourin and Rekka were competing of who gets to sit with Aichi on a rollercoaster he simply just asked Kourin to sit with him and next time he'd sit with Rekka on some other ride.
The time went quickly as the trio were having fun. Kourin had some slight problems on some mini games but with the help of Aichi she managed to win a teddy bear.
"Aww, I can't thank you enough, Aichi!" Kourin said.
"Heh, it's okay. Am glad that you got a teddy bear for yourself!" Aichi said with a smile on his face. Kourin also smiled but she suddenly realized something.
"Wait... Why didn't I just tell him my feelings?" Kourin thought as she started to get depressed. Rekka noticed this and she then decided to make a move on Aichi.
"Umm, Aichi..." Rekka said as she pretended to be a little shy when she wasn't.
"Y-Yes?" Aichi asked. Without trying to ask any other questions from Rekka she immediately got closer to Aichi and gave him a kiss to the lips, where Kourin normally would've kissed.
"W-What?!" Kourin furiously reacted on the sudden actions of Rekka. She felt her heart burning. As Rekka then backed off slowly she smirked slightly and Aichi was bit confused but shrugged it off although he couldn't shrug the odd feeling that was coming from Kourin. Kourin was astonished and even devastated from Rekka's sudden action.
"Umm...A-Are you o-okay, Kourin?" Aichi asked as his voice was stuttering because of Kourin's uncomfortable aura that appeared right after Rekka had kissed him. Kourin then got back to her normal self as she heard Aichi saying her name.
"Huh? O-Oh...Y-Yea..." Kourin said.
"Thank goodness... You had me worried after you turned a bit cold when Rekka suddenly kissed me." Aichi said.
"But I wanted to just annoy Kourin!" Rekka retorted as she then smirked to Kourin. Kourin gritter teeth and she just gave a glare to Rekka.
"W-Well… It's still not fair to tease Kourin like that. After all she's your sister, right?" Aichi asked as he smiled. After Kourin had heard Aichi's words she turned to look at Aichi but he was right in front of her. She was caught off guard immediately and almost slipped to the ground, but Aichi managed to grab Kourin's hand and he pulled her then right to him. Kourin immediately realized what Aichi had just done. He kept his hands behind her back and she had her hands on his shoulders, her being the one looking up to him while he looked at her.
"..." Kourin thought as she had no words for this. She blushed as Aichi just gently smiled to her. Aichi then closed towards Kourin and gave her a kiss to the lips. Rekka saw this and felt then kind of saddened but atleast she made Aichi take the step and kiss Kourin.
"Success, I'd say but...I kind of like Aichi though..." Rekka thought as her cheeks started to turn a bit red.
As Aichi continued his kiss for a little while his heart started to jump around. He then pulled away and looked at Kourin as her cheeks were red as if she was embarrassed but in a good way.
"You just look cute as ever..." Aichi thought as he then smiled to Kourin. Kourin was in her dreamlands when Aichi had just kissed her.
"That kiss..." She thought.
"What makes it so passionate...?"
"He really cares about me..." Kourin thought as she looked at Aichi who was now chatting with Rekka. She didn't mind about that now since Aichi's passionate kiss was on her mind. Soon after he came back to her to see how she was doing.
"U-Umm... A-Are you okay?" Aichi asked as he was shy about what she had just done before. Kourin noticed that Aichi was little uneasy afterwards he just kissed her. She then lifted up his mood, smiled and said.
"Yeah, I'm alright, Aichi. Or should I say 'Aichi the adorable boy'?" Kourin teased.
"A-A-A-Adorable b-boy?!" Aichi stressed.
"Haha, just kidding, Aichi!" Kourin laughed. After seeing her laughing Aichi relaxed and smiled gently.
"Alright, 'Kourin the slippery girl'." Aichi teased then which Kourin suddenly retorted that the ground was sometimes really 'slippery' and she couldn't help it. She felt like she was about to blush but the two stared at each other. They then bursted to laugh together. They both realized that they shared a similar humour.
Meanwhile Rekka was watching how Aichi and Kourin laughing. She was glad that she was able to come along to watch for Aichi and Kourin. She then got up from the bench and came towards the two.
"So, shall we move forward?" Rekka asked with a smile on her face.
"Mmh!" Aichi nodded happily. The three then moved on to different places and they had a small lunch at the restaurant. They all had fun together and Rekka especially even though she was interested in Aichi she knew that Kourin was her choice and she was happy with it. After all Kourin was herself interested in Aichi.
Later in the evening it was 5PM and the time had run fast as the amusement park was about to close.
"Please exit the amusement park through the main entrance. We, the group, wish you a pleasant day and hope you've enjoyed being here today!" The announcer said as people around started leaving the place.
"Man, that was quite fun! Right, Aichi?" Rekka asked.
"Mmh! I-I hope you two had a good time…" Aichi said as he smiled gently.
"We sure did, Aichi!" Kourin and Rekka said together.
The three then walked towards the main entrance. Aichi suddenly felt something really uncomfortable aura on the air as he started to look around worriedly.
"Is…something wrong, Aichi?" Kourin asked as she had looked Aichi who was little nervous of something.
"No…It's nothing." Aichi replied. But he knew that this aura was really scary and it seemed like it was similar to Ren's but much more powerful. He knew that Kamui was also reversed and Kai as well. Suddenly he could sense some weaker dark auras watching the three of them. He quickly snapped out of his thoughts and quickly grabbed Kourin's and Rekka's hand.
"We need to get away from here!" Aichi said as he dragged Kourin and Rekka
"W-What's happening?" Kourin asked as she felt that Aichi was actually nervous about something as he was hurrying to somewhere. Rekka also noticed that and was worried as well.
"It's them." Aichi responded quickly as hewas running as well as Kourin and Rekka too.
"Them?" The two asked.
"The reversed fighters. They're here to battle against us. I can't risk the two of you getting reversed again!" Aichi said as he was worried for the safety of Kourin and Rekka. He wanted to go as fast as they could go to his home.
"O-Okay!" The two said with a stuttered voice as they knew that they were once reversed. The three than ran as fast as they could to Aichi's home. As they were running through the streets Aichi suddenly noticed someone with a school uniform, red eyes and spiky hair looking at him. Aichi didn't first see quite well who the person was but after he looked quickly back he immediately recognized the person.
"Kamui…" Aichi said as he was running.
"Kamui Katsuragi?" Kourin asked.
"Yes…He's been reversed… by you when you were reversed." Aichi responded.
"S-Sorry…Aichi…" Kourin said as she felt sad for Aichi.
"Well, it'll be okay. I have a feeling I will have to fight against him someday. But I am definitely worried since I know that Kamui is a really strong fighter after all. Especially being reversed now makes his power far greater than before." Aichi said.
"I see… But that sinister strength isn't their own right?" Kourin and Rekka asked.
"Right. It's the power of Void. Nothing more." Aichi said.
The three then ran away from the fighters and Kamui just watched Aichi go.
"Aichi Sendou…Next time we meet we'll be fighting!" Kamui thought.
After running as fast as they could Aichi, Kourin and Rekka finally reached Aichi's home. They entered inside and took their shoes off and greeted Shizuka.
"Wow, have you three been running?" Shizuka asked.
"Y-Yes. We've been running away from the reversed fighters." Aichi explained. Kourin and Rekka nodded.
"Reversed fighters?" Shizuka asked as she had no idea what they were.
"In short they're like us but they serve the Void itself now with sinister powers they have. If you lose to them, you'll become one of them." Aichi said.
"I-I see…" Shizuka said, bit worried about hearing that.
"We'll be going upstairs now!" Aichi said.
"Right!" Shizuka answered.
"Oh yeah, Emi got back here 2 hours ago if you wanted to know." Shizuka said.
"Good. Thanks for letting me know." Aichi responded.
Aichi, Kourin and Rekka then went to upstairs. Rekka went to Emi's room and Kourin followed Aichi to his room. The three were overall very exhausted from running today.
In Aichi's room:
"Say, Aichi… Was I like that?" Kourin asked.
"Like what?" Aichi asked.
"You know…Reversed." Kourin said.
"W-Well…Yes…" Aichi responded.
"S-Sorry once again if I made you go all the trouble…" Kourin said as she felt disappointed on her ability to be a strong fighter like Aichi.
"Nothing to worry! If you'd like I can teach you to be better at Vanguard!" Aichi said.
"Teach…me?" Kourin asked.
"Yes! You'd probably learn a few new things as well." Aichi responded.
"I see. T-Then, should we have the training someday?" Kourin asked as she was excited about hearing Aichi willing to help her train.
"Sure!" Aichi said.
The two then kept talking and had the evening lunch. The time passed on inside the house until it was soon night at 10PM.
"Well, we should go sleep now, Kourin. I'll just go say a good night to Emi and Rekka." Aichi said.
"Sure. I'll be looking at my deck for a bit." Kourin said.
Aichi then went to Emi's room and said good night to Emi and Rekka. He then went back to his room and as he entered the room he saw a surprising look. Kourin was wearing pyjamas for the first time. Much to his surprise it was his secondary pyjamas that he could use.
"W-What are you looking at?!" Kourin said bit irritated of Aichi's look but she was a little embarrassed as well.
"W-Well…Those are my pyjamas." Aichi responded.
"I-It's not like I don't have my own clothes here now do I?" Kourin responded in defense.
"I guess you're right." Aichi said as he then smiled gently.
"Well, I think it's time to go sleep." Aichi said as he started to yawn a bit.
"You're right." Kourin said as she also yawned a bit.
Aichi went to his bed but Kourin suddenly stopped her and pulled him towards her and gave him a kiss. Aichi immediately blushed but was all happy with that though.
"I suppose that's your good night wish?" Aichi smiled.
"T-That's right. It's not like I did that just for fun anyways." Kourin retorted a bit.
"Hehe, right! Well, good night now, Kourin." Aichi said.
"Good night, Aichi." Kourin said with a smile on her face.
As the two laid down to the bed Aichi kept thinking of today's events before falling asleep.
"It sure was fun today…Although seeing those reversed fighters…It's not right at all!" Aichi thought. As he looked at Kourin who was on the bed(Seperate bed since Aichi doesn't have a larte bed where two could sleep each on their own side)with a smile on her face he just smiled and was glad that atleast Kourin had good time along with Rekka.
Aichi then fell asleep too and tomorrow would bring new events. Or maybe even something scarier and worrying.

Yeah, I apologize if this chapter has a bit too much of kissing but I'll try to make less that on the next chapter. Also I will rework my two chapters that have two parts and probably put them together.
