"Wait!" I cried at the last moment. I rushed in and grabbed my guitar and a few sheets of music. I rushed outside and asked, "Can I bring this?"
Annabeth nodded. "I guess," she said. "Just make sure you don't drop it on the way."
I nodded. "Who are your godly parents?" I asked.
"My mom is Athena and Percy's dad is Poseidon."
Once we were up in the air, lightning started to crackle and the sky started to become dark again.
"Oh don't tell me it's those⦠things again!" I sighed, almost saying storm spirits.
"Nah. It's just Zeus. He's angry 'cause I'm a son of Poseidon and I'm flying." He shot a look at Annabeth. "I told you it would be a bad idea."
Annabeth just shrugged "You told me we would never, ever be apart again," she replied. Oh yeah. They had promised each other when they were falling to Tartarus.
I tried my best to look dumb and curious, except I'm a really bad actor. I hope Annabeth didn't see that.
"We better fly low." Percy said. He said some things to the pegasus, who I assumed was Blackjack. Immediately, he dipped low and we were less than a hundred feet in the air. Then I realized I was supposed to not know anything.
"Won't the people notice a flying horse with 3 kids riding it?" I asked. Percy laughed.
"There's a thing called the Mist. It hides what's really happening, so the mortals won't see anything. Probably a large pigeon or something."
We flew most of the way in silence. You see, I'm the kind of person who's really talkative and weird (in a good way) around my friends and people I'm familiar with, but I'm really quiet around strangers and people I don't know so well, like my violin teacher, so I might be viewed as quiet and shy until the person gets to really know me.
"You know, you're really taking this in well, Hailey," Annabeth said, breaking the ice. I shrugged.
"When I'm surprised, I like to think about it more than like, you know, freaking out," I said with a laugh. Annabeth gave me a strange look.
"You know, most demigods are dyslexic and/or ADHD," she said. Like I didn't know that. Well, I wasn't supposed to.
"Well, I'm not dyslexic, but I admit I read a little bit slower at my level. But not like, so slow I need a reading teacher. And I'm not ADHD, but I can't sit still for a long time. I like to doodle, and I fidget a lot," I responded. That was easy, because it was true, and I didn't have to pretend about anything. Percy looked at me curiously.

"Okay, we're here," I announced as we reached Camp Half-Blood. Hailey's eyes widened, but it seemed kind of forced, like she was reminding herself, when you're surprised, raise your eyebrows.
Ever since we picked her up, she seemed really quiet, like she was hiding something. I don't think she was a monster, because than she probably would've attacked us in midair, when we were most vulnerable. And if she were a monster, she wouldn't have been able to enter Camp Half-Blood. But she was definitely hiding something.
"Wow," Hailey whispered. "Amazing. And is that real lava?"
Percy nodded. "Yeah. And you definitely don't want to fall off that wall," he said.
"I wonder who my godly parent will be," she said thoughtfully.
Percy shrugged. "You could guess by your personality and things you like to do, but that's not always reliable," he responded. Hailey frowned.
"Based on my personality and my hobbies, my godly parent could be Athena, Hermes, Hephaestus, Apollo, Poseidon, Nemesis, and maybe even Aphrodite or Ares," she sighed.
"You know all the gods and goddesses?" I asked, surprised. She nodded.
"I've liked Greek myths since I was in second grade. My teacher sometimes read them to us. I know all the Olympians, plus some minor gods and goddesses. But not all. There are so many!" she replied.
Oookay then.
"So. Do I get like a schedule or something?"
"Not really. There is no specific schedule for anyone, but there are some required courses and you can make your own," I replied.
"Okay, now, we'll leave you in Sofia's hands. She'll give you a tour and stuff," Percy said. Sofia was a blonde-haired girl from the Aphrodite cabin. She wasn't a complete airhead, but she liked makeup and things like that.
"Sofia?" Hailey asked, her voice full of excitement. "Sofia Lee?"
"Um, yeah. How did you know that?" Hailey grinned.
"She's from my elementary school! But she left. Gosh, to meet in a place like this!"
Sofia skipped over, her naturally curly hair bouncing on her back. Her eyes widened. "Hailey?"
"Sofia!" Hailey ran over and hugged her. Okay. Now I was not seeing a shy little girl anymore. This was a completely new side of her.
"Oof," Sofia grunted.
"You were a demigod?!" Hailey asked. "Well, I'm not surprised your mom is Aphrodite. You are pretty," she said, cocking her head.
Sofia laughed and said yes. "Okay, let's go now," she said, linking arms with Hailey. "Let's go on the tour now."
