Let's Meet Again
Void stared at her soup, Aisha's reflection dancing in the liquid as she handed bowls to other people. The hell was going on, why would a richie be at the soup kitchen? She hadn't even noticed her one time in the 6 years she had been on the streets. However...one thing was for sure, and that was that there was something different about her. Void frowned as she stirred her soup, swirling the image of the richie. She was different, and she was going to find out.
"I'm heading home!" Aisha waved goodbye to the other soup kitchen workers. She stepped out into the streets, the night was approaching as the orange sky slowly turned to night. As she walked home, she noticed the girl from earlier, leaning against the wall, gaze fixed onto her. Aisha blinked a couple times, before smiling happily. "Hello, how are you today?"
"Why were you working there?"
The pigtailed girl's question was immediate, demanding, and serious. Aisha was taken aback for a moment, before smiling again. "Well, I just enjoy helping people." Void stared at her, her voice sounded honest and her smile seemed genuine... "Alright then." Void said quickly, turning away and walking down the street.
"H-hey! You were eating with your friends right? Could I meet them sometime?" Void eyes widened upon hearing the girl's request. She turned around and narrowed her eyes at Aisha, as if peering into her very soul. "Why?" Aisha tilted her head, confused. "To meet them of course, what else?" Void sighed in annoyance, pinching the bridge of her nose. This girl seemed far too outgoing for her own good...Letting out another sigh, she looked to the girl. "Fine...what's your name anyway?" Aisha gasped slightly, and laughed a little. "Oh how silly of me, where are my manners? My name is Aisha, what about you?"
"Void." And with that, she turned away and walked down the street.
For some reason, writing Void was very difficult in this chapter. See you all next time!
