About a week later found the 'Ancient Ronin' a day's sail from Port Dranzer and the young captain and his four friends, the tiger, his twin sister and her friend, and another female and little boy sat or stood on barrels of rum. Georgina, Kayura and Mia sat on the barrels of rum; Rowen stood next to his twin sister; Ryo stood next to Mia as Kayura sat in between the other two females. White Blaze laid on the deck in front of the three females as Yuli sat leaning against his side; Cye, Kento, and Sage sat on the railing facing the others.
"Oh, I have an idea! We should buy a house large enough for all of us to live in when we aren't at sea." Said Mia as she indicted the entire crew.
"I like that idea." Ryo said as everyone agreed.
"So do we, Captain." Kyle spoke from where he sat with his ever present sketch book, voicing his agreement on behalf of the crew as the rest of the crew murmured in agreement.
"There is this old mansion on a hill that overlooks the docks in Port Dranzer. No one lives there." Sage said as Rowen agreed.
"Then we will drop anchor a good distance out, so no one will see it's us and take a rowboat to shore and buy the place." Rowen said.
They did just that and Rowen and Georgina went ashore and Devon waited with the rowboat at the dock. The twins walked into town, with Georgina having her arm looped with Rowen's, as Georgina looked around, not having been to Port Dranzer since she was kidnapped when she was 5 years old. They walked into a building where they could buy the house they wanted.
The man behind the desk looked up as the bell above the door chimed as a male and female walked in and over to him, it was clear they were brother and sister, twins most likely.
"How can I help you?" the man asked as the female sat in the chair across from him and her brother remained standing.
"We want to know about the place on top of the hill overlooking the port." The sister said.
"No one had lived there in the past 200 years." The man said after he got the file on the place they asked about and looked it over.
"That's fine, is it for sale?" the brother asked.
"Yes, has been for as long as it has been empty for." The man said as he nodded his head.
"Good, we'll take it." The sister said with a smile.
"It's going to be needed to be fixed up. The governor has some people go clean it up, meaning they dust and de-cobweb the place, every ten years. They fix any damage done to it if a bad storm hits." The man explained.
"That's fine, my crew and I can fix it up good." The brother said, it was clear the siblings weren't afraid of just how much work the place needed.
"Very well then. The deed to the land is 10,000 yen." The man said as the brother placed a bag on the desk between them.
"Here, this should be enough." He said.
"This is way too much, I can't take it all!" the man argued after he looked into the bag and saw all the gold coins, the siblings smiled and exchanged glances.
"It's alright, we have more than enough." The brother said.
"Please Sir, we insist." The sister said pushing the bag closer to the man.
"Okay, I'll take it." The man said with a sigh as he gave them the deed to the land and stood up as the sister did the same.
"Thank-you." The brother said as they walked to the door.
"Good night Sir." The sister said.
"You're welcome. Good night, Miss." The man said as he watched them walk away.
They walked down to the dock and over to the rowboat they came in.
"How did it go, Captain?" Devon asked as Rowen helped his twin sister into the rowboat before Devon pushed off the dock and rowed back to the ship.
"It went well, we got the house on the hill." Rowen said with a smile.
"I have an idea!" Georgina said two hours later after they got back on the ship and where in the cabin with the others.
"Which is?" Yuli asked her.
"That we throw a masquerade ball at the house, once we fix it up of course, and we can invite the whole town, including family and friends." Georgina replied as everyone thought about it.
"I like that idea." Rowen said as everyone agreed.
"Then tomorrow we will start cleaning the place up and repairing anything that needs to be fixed." Sage said.
"Okay." Everyone agreed before they all went to bed for the night.
The next morning the crew moved the ship to the mansion's private dock and they all went up to explore the mansion. They saw that it had enough rooms for all of them; some rooms had up to five beds in them. They all choose who slept were and with who. Rowen had the master bedroom; the females shared the room next to it; Ryo, Cye, Sage, Kento, Yuli, and White Blaze had the room across the hall from the master bedroom.
"Okay we need to make small invitations and send them to Sage, Cye, and Kento's families, the governor, the captain of the guard and the navy." Mia said as she Georgina, Kayura, and Yuli worked on planning the party as they sat in their room while the rest of the guys worked on fixing/cleaning the mansion.
"Don't forget their families, Mia." Georgina said.
"I won't." she replied.
"I think you should invite the head of the merchant guilds and their families as well." Kayura said.
"Good idea, Kay." Said Georgina as she looked at her friend who smiled.
"What about everyone else?" Yuli asked.
"We can make some large posters, inviting everyone else to the party and put them up around town." Mai said as the other three nodded and started to work on making the invitations and posters, which took all day and when they were done they decided to deliver them in the morning.
The next morning found Kayura and Georgina delivering the invitations and as they walked they came upon Mr. and Mrs. Date, whom were talking to a family of six and a young couple who ever expecting a child and the couple's mother-in-law.
"We are glad you could come." Said Mr. Date as the two former mermaids stopped to listen.
"We are glad you invited us." Said the soon-to-be mother, who was 9 months pregnant and due any day.
"I just with my oldest son could be here as well." Mrs. Rei Fang with a sigh.
"I wish my son was here as well." Said Mrs. Mouri.
"Where did your sons go?" Mrs. Date asked them.
"Our boys met each other about 7 months ago and a month later they met two other boys and a tiger when our restaurant was attacked, the four of them helps take care of the thugs." Mr. Rei Fang said.
"We had to close the place down so we can repair it." Mrs. Rei Fang said.
"We know how you feel; we let our only son set sail with his childhood friend." Mrs. Date said.
"Oh my god! Kay, I know who they are talking about!" Georgina gasped.
"I know, come on; let's go. We have to finish delivering these invitations." Kayura said as the Rei Fang family, Mr. and Mrs. Date, Mrs. Mouri, and Mr. and Mrs. Heckman heard them talking.
"I know, I know." Georgina said with a sigh.
"Besides we should let the boys know about it." Kayura said as they looked over at the three families and smiled at them, making her and Georgina giggle.
They left giggling and went back to the mansion, once there they found Ryo, Cye, Sage, Rowen, Kento, Mia, Yuli and White Blaze in one of the rooms, painting.
"There you are." Georgina said as they came into the room.
"What's up sis?" Rowen asked as they all looked at the two ex-mermaids as they stopped what they were doing.
"While we were out we ran into three families." Kayura said.
"Cye, Kento, your families are here right now, we saw them with Mr. and Mrs. Date." Said Georgina.
"Oh good." Cye said as Kento nodded, both glad to know their families were there.
"If we could find out where they are staying we can deliver the invites to them." Sage said.
"We'll go back out and finish handing them out and try to see if we can find out where they are staying." Georgina said as everyone agreed.
The two former mermaids headed back out, and while they were out they learned that Cye and Kento's families were staying with Sage's family. They went to the Date family home and knocked on the door, Kaylee Date answered the door.
"Can I help you?" Kaylee asked them.
"Is this the Date residence?" Georgina asked, making it sound like she was new in town.
"Yes it is." Kaylee confirmed.
"We have an invitation for your family to our masquerade ball in 2 months." Kayura said, as she handed the invite to Kaylee.
"Is the Rei fang family, Mrs. Mouri, Mr. and Mrs. Heckman here as well?" Georgina asked.
"Yes, they are." Replied Kaylee.
"Good, they are invited as well." Said Georgina as Kayura hand the 15 year old two more invites and she looked them over.
"The ball is at the old mansion over looking the dock?" Kaylee asked them.
"Yes it is, we will see you there." Georgina said as they turned to go.
"Wait!" Kaylee called out.
"Yes?" they both asked as they turned back to look at her.
"You two look familiar, have I seen you girls somewhere before?" Kaylee asked them as they looked at each other.
"Maybe, but I don't think so, sorry." Georgina said with a smile.
"Oh okay, good-bye." Kaylee said as she closed the door and Georgina and Kayura walked away.
"This should be fun." Georgina said.
"How so?" Kayura asked.
"Because she did not recognize us, remember, Kay, we had been mermaids the last time she saw us. We look different now that we are humans; this is why the boys sent us out to deliver the invites since no one would recognize us and ruin the surprise." Georgina explained to her friend.
"Oh I guess you are right. So now what do we do?" Kayura asked.
"We finish handing out the invites and then we head home." Georgina said as Kayura agreed.
"Who was at the door, sweetheart?" Theresa asked her youngest daughter when she came into the kitchen after going to answer the door.
"Two girls about the same age as Sage, they were handing out invitations to a masquerade ball that is in two months. It's going to be at the old mansion that overlooks the dock." Kaylee answered her mother.
"So someone finally bought that old place." Alan said.
"Oh, so who is invited to it?" Nicole asked her sister.
"Everyone in this room." Kaylee answered as the Rei Fang family, Mrs. Mouri, Mr. and Mrs. Heckman exchanged looks.
"Who would know we are staying here?" Mrs. Mouri asked.
"They probably asked around and found out." Alan said.
"True." Mrs. Rei Fang agreed.
"So it's in two months." Theresa said as Kaylee nodded.
"Then who ever bought the place must be fixing the place up." Alex said as everyone agreed.
It didn't take Kayura and Georgina long to finish and when they got back to the mansion, they told Cye and Kento that their families were staying with the Date family, and that Sage's little sister, Kaylee, had answered the door. They told them that she had asked if she had seen them somewhere before and Georgina said that she had told her that she did not think so. Sage knew that the last time his family had seen her and Kayura, they had been mermaids.
