It had taken the pirate crew of the 'Ancient Ronin' 2 months to finish fixing the mansion and getting it ready for the masquerade ball. Every crew member would be wearing a gold half face mask, Ryo would have a red mask, and Rowen would have a dark blue mask. Sage would wear a green one, Kento's mask would be orange, and Cye's would be a light blue. Mia's mask would be pink, Yuli would wear a brown mask, Kayura would have a blue/green mask, and Georgina would have a purple mask.

All the females from the age of 10 and up would wear a white mask and all the males from the age of 10 and up would wear a black one. The children who were between the ages of 5 and 10 had a choice, they could stay with their parents and wear a black or white mask or they could be in a separate room that was where the children under the age of 5 would stay; any new born infants would stay with their parents. At the ball once everyone was where they wanted to be and enjoying themselves; Sage spoke to his family, even if they did not know it was him, Cye and Kento also spoke to their families. The three of them learned how they have been doing since they have been gone.

"Halo, my brother wants to speak to you." Georgina said as she walked up to Sage, 'Halo' was the nickname he was going by, so they would not ruin the surprise.

"Your name is Halo?" Nicole asked.

"It's my nickname, not my real name. Where's Strata anyway, Gina?" Sage replied to both his best friend's twin sister and his older sister.

"Up in his room I think." Georgina replied with a shrug.

"I figured as much. Tell him I'll be right up." Sage said.

"Okay." Said Georgina as she turned and walked away.

"Who is Strata?" Theresa asked him.

"He owns this place, and it's a nickname, Gina is his twin sister." Sage told them.

"Is Gina a nickname as well?" Alan asked.

"Yes, but it's a part of her real name. She was the one who came up with the idea to throw this party in the first place." Sage said to them.

"We should let you go to speak with your friend." Alex said.

"Thank-you, enjoy the party." Sage said before he walked away.

Sage walked up the stairs and found Kento, Ryo, Cye, Mia, Rowen, Kayura, Georgina, and Yuli who had fallen asleep, in the master bedroom. They all had taken their masks off; White Blaze was lying on the floor near Ryo.

"What's up?" Sage asked as he walked in and closed the door.

"How are your folks enjoying the party?" Ryo asked, as Sage sat down.

"They like it, they had no idea it was me they were talking to." Sage said as he pulled his mask off.

"It was the same for me, I learned that my brother, Jay, has done well and hasn't picked on my younger sisters. I'm proud that he has kept his word to me." Said Kento.

"The same goes for me, everything has been good. Jessica, my older sister, gave birth to her first child about a week after we handed out the invitations to this ball." Cye said with a huge smile as everyone congratulated him on becoming an uncle.

"Everyone I spoke to are enjoying themselves." Kayura said as Ryo and Mia nodded in agreement.

"I checked in on the kids under the age of five and they seem fine, the ones between the ages of 5 and 10 are also enjoying themselves." Georgina said.

"According to my mother, Jay and my sister Miri, spend half the time with them and the other half with my 4 year old twin brother and sister." Kento said.

"The governor is enjoying himself and he is glad that someone finally bought this old place. He said he can't wait to find out who we are." Rowen said.

"Everyone will be surprised." Mia said.

"Captain?" Kyle asked as he opened the door to the master bedroom.

"Yes?" Rowen replied looking up as Kyle came into the room.

"It is almost 11:30, captain." Kyle said.

"Wow, would you look at that. It is almost time." Said Mia.

"Time flies when you're having fun, as my mother says." Cye stated.

"Then we should get going." Rowen said as the 8 of them stood and put their masks back on they decided to let Yuli sleep a little while longer.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! MAY WE HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!" Ryo called out as they stood on the balcony as everyone looked up at them.

"It is now 11:30pm and as we stated in the invitations, that at this time everyone wearing a white or black mask would remove them. So please, if you have a black or white mask on, you may remove it!" Rowen said as everyone did so.

"You all may go back to what you were doing, but remember in 15 minutes we will be calling for your attention once again." Georgina reminded them.

Everyone went back to talking and 15 minutes seemed to fly by. Soon everyone was looking back up at Rowen, Ryo, Sage, Cye, Kento, Mia, Kayura, and Georgina; waiting for them to speak.

"It seems we don't have to yell this time, brother." Georgina said as she looked at her twin brother, in the quiet her voice was loud enough for everyone to hear and they all chuckled.

"You're right sis. You are right. Now as you all know my crew is wearing the gold half face masks and it is now 11:45pm. My crew you may remove your masks." Rowen said as his pirate crew did as their young captain said.

"You all may resume what you were doing." Ryo said as everyone did.

Alan recognized some of the crew members, but did not see his friend Tim anywhere and wondered if he had died while out at sea. He also realized just who was hosting this party.

"I think I know who is hosting this party." Alan said to his family.

"Who?" Theresa asked her husband.

"Look closely at the crew members, my dear. I know them, though I can't see my one friend from this crew." Alan said.

"I think you are right, I just spotted Ivan." She said as her father-in-law and her two daughters caught on.

"Does that mean that Sage is here?" Nicole asked her parents.

"It looks like it." Alan replied as the clock struck midnight and the 8 reappeared.

"We are going to do this differently. We will introduce ourselves as we remove our masks." Mia said.

"I will go first. My nickname is 'Wildfire' but my real name is Ryo Sanada." Ryo said as he removed his mask.

"My nickname is 'Torrent', but my real name is Cye Mouri." Said Cye as he took his mask off making his mother and sister gasp in shock.

"I have gone by the name 'Hardrock' but my true name is Kento Rei Fang." Kento said as he took his mask off making his mother gasp.

"I am Mia Koji and I have gone by 'Lioness'." Mia spoke up next taking her mask off.

"Kay is my real nickname, its short for Kayura. I was a mermaid before my friend and I were turned into humans." Kayura explained as she took he mask off.

"I am Sage Date, also known as 'Halo'." Said Sage as his mother and both sisters gasped when he removed his mask.

"I am the owner of this place and I've gone by the name of 'Strata' but my real name is Rowen Hashiba." Rowen said taking his mask off.

"I have gone by the name of 'Gina' for the past 8 years. 13 years ago I was kidnapped and five years later I was turned into a mermaid. I befriend Kayura and she taught me about being a mermaid. My real name is Georgina Hashiba, I am Rowen's twin sister that went missing thirteen years ago." Georgina said as everyone gasped as she removed her mask.

"The little boy that wore the brown mask is Yuli and he has fallen asleep." Rowen said as they eight of them went down to mingle and Cye, Kento, and Sage went to speak to their families.

"We had a feeling you were here, Sage." Alan told his son who just smiled.

"What happened to your check?" Kaylee asked her brother spotting the scar.

"It's nothing, just a flesh wound; I got it during a battle we got in." Sage said as his hand went to his check.

"Was Georgina the other mermaid that saved us when our ship went down?" Nicole asked.

"Yeah she did." He confirmed.

"Will you tell us about your adventures?" Kaylee asked.

"It's late sis. We should be in bed." Nicole stated.

"Come back here tomorrow and we will tell you about our adventures." Rowen said as he and Georgina walked up to the Date family.

"My goodness, look at you! You've grown into a beautiful young woman." Theresa said as she looked Georgina over.

"Thank you." She replied with a smile.

"What was it like being a mermaid?" Kaylee asked.

"I was different. I had fun most days, but there were days I was unhappy. I would be thinking about life on land and how much I missed it. I know I will miss being a mermaid, but I think Kayura will miss it more than I will." Georgina explained.

"We better head home." Said Mr. Heckman as he, his wife, mother-in-law and brother-in-law, who was hold his two month old niece for the first time, came over.

"I agree." Said Mrs. Rei fang as she held her 4 year old son as her husband held their 4 year old daughter, her 8 year son held his 7 year old sister's hand as they walked over with Kento.

"Rowen, Georgina. I am glad the two of you are together again." The governor said as he came over to them with Ryo and Mia as the afore mentioned twins smiled.

"I will admit, I was shocked to learn that she was a mermaid." Rowen said.

"You found out because when I saved Sage a second time, I called out to you. I said 'I love you Rico'." Said Georgina.

"What's this? You needed to be saved again?" Theresa asked her son shocked as everyone looked at him as he sighed.

"Everything will be explained in detail tomorrow, mother. I was badly wounded in a fight against Talpa when she saved me." Sage explained.

"I see, well thanks again for inviting me." The governor said before he left.

Sage, Kento, and Cye; who handed his two month old niece, Isabelle Rose, to his sister; saw their families off as Ryo, Mia, Georgina, Kayura, and Rowen thanked everyone for coming and whished them a safe journey home and a good night. It was about two in the morning when everyone was gone, leaving the pirates to clean the place a little bit before going to bed an hour and a half later.
