Chapter Twenty Two

Relaxation

Word Count: 200

"This is called…relaxing?"

"Yep. You gotta problem with it?"

I shifted my position and stared out at the red rocks in front of us. Well, this was…new? "What's the point?"

"The point?" Riley asked, looking up at me from beneath the brim of her "cap." (Yeah, I was starting to learn human lingo. Don't judge me.) "There is no 'point.' That's why it's called relaxing."

"So…we just stare at rocks without talking?"

"Hey, I'm trying to get you outta of the garage! Sorry if it's not that easy to find a place for you to transform without being seen."

I tilted my head and focused my visor back on the barren land. This was better than being cooped up in the garage. The place was nice to stay hidden in, but after a while it turned into a pretty cramped space. I probably would've hightailed it out of there a little sooner had Riley not seen me…and my repairs. I was still healing a little…

I stretched my hand out in front of me and noted the orange that was beginning to tinge my dark blue paint. "I demand a wash when we get back."

"You're so spoiled now, Jeffrey."
