Somewhere deep in Kohona
Deidara was walked amongst the citizens of Konohagakure disguised as an ordinary villager. He masked his chakra and changed his appearance, he even put on some heavy cologne to mask his scent from anyone who knew him. He knew that this was dangerous but really didn't care none of the less. He stalked up and down the alleyway while his miniature clay birds took to the sky unnoticed. He sent them to the skies in case if anyone gets smart.
It wasn't that busy today, the streets were somewhat clear and the place seemed at peace. Deidara snickered at this thought, "Peace here, while I'm here, don't thinks so, un." It was then he felt something brush passed his arm, knocking him back into reality. It was her, the girl he was sent to observe. She didn't seem to notice him at all. As she walked past Deidara looked at her as if the whole world was in slow motion at that moment.
He shivered, feeling cold and threatened for some unknown reason. He outwardly shook, not from the touch of the small girl, but form the menacing aura she carried with her. Deidara was wide-eyed and he swore he heard a dark laugh as she walked away with a very dark blue haired girl who wore a pale tan-colored jacket. They both seemed uncomfortable with this situation, both not speaking to one another they just browsed around the store entrances, walking from one window to the next. Deidara kept his distance and continued the way he was originally waking only to back track a few seconds later as if he himself was shopping.
He spotted the girls again and watched through curious eyes. They went up to a clothing store and the blue haired girl spoke softly, too softly for him to hear. Deidara opted to get closer to hear their conversation. As soon as he got close enough to hear their conversation ended. He saw Amaia slightly nod and stepped back, and in silence they walked into the doors. Deidara sighed to himself, preparing for a long day that seems to be ahead.
Inside the clothing store
My mind was clouded with thoughts of that name, it echoed in my head over and over giving me chills each time. My body was cold and my body practically numb. I was interrupted by Hinata speaking "Umm….ehhh…. I ap-p-pologize but I have n-no clue how to address you and its kind of f-frustrating. I was wondering if you had an idea of w-what others s-s-should call you." I stopped my mindless thoughts and looked up to see that we were in a clothing store, to Tsunade's orders I had to go get something 'decent' to wear while she arranges for me a place to stay. I shook that off and went to the problem at hand.
"No, I haven't. Call me what you wish, it means nothing if I don't even know who I am. So what do you say Hinata-san?" I raised my eyebrow and stopped my movements at the harsh words that flew out of my mouth. I didn't mean for it to sound as rude as it came out but it just happened. It was true I really didn't care, I had more important things to ponder about, like where I came from and why did I end up here, especially who that Orochimaru was.
I shuttered and brought back my attention to Hinata. She stood silent and looked down as I looked at her. It was then I felt bad. "I…. I didn't mean it like that….um Hinata? I really don't care about something silly as a name, or coming up with one….why don't you come up with one? I'm sure you could do that couldn't you? I forced a half smile trying to fix what I had done. She seemed like she was thinking about it and raised her head and looked at me for a minute. I started to walk away to continue to do what Tsunade had said and shop.
"Umm h-h-how about M-m-m-Mika?" Her voice grew smaller as she spoke making it hard to hear. "Excuse me?" She shrunk lower placing her two pointer fingers together. "I-I suggested the n-name Mika." I gave her a confused look as she slowly arose her head to look at me. "Sure whatever is fine…. Mika it is…." I felt dizzy all of a sudden and I started to sway on my feet in the middle of this small shop. I backed myself against a wall to support myself and Hinata came rushing to my aid.
"Mika-chan are you alright." My head felt as if someone just decked me in my temple the lighting was all of a sudden too bright in the room so I closed my eyes and grunted and the throbbing pain hit me again and again. 'You're getting closer little one. You just have to remember.' I shook my head and pushed myself off the wall "M-m-mika-chan?" Hinata stuttered. "Yeah I'm fine, let's just get what we need and leave."
I didn't bother to look at the clothes and just took what I saw that seemed it would fit me. All I knew is that I wanted to get out of her and go somewhere where I could think. I grabbed a hand full of clothes that Hinata helped pick out and we paid the store clerk and were on our way back to the Hokage Tower. It was then when we exited the store that I felt if I was being watched, goose bumps spread across my skin.'Hey kid you got somebody trailing you. Keep your guard up.' The warning that echoed in my head made my intuition real. I shifted my eyes slowly to seem as I was looking for somewhere else to go shop, but really I was looking for who was looking at me. I didn't see anybody who seemed suspicious but one or two people did stand out.
One of those two people was one apart of the group who took me here I think his name was Kiba and he was arguing with another person who I didn't recognize. The second of the two was a man who was covered with clothing almost from head to toe and he was walking not too far behind us, but he would stop at almost every other stores windows to observe.
It was then when I heard a loud noise which made me jump out of my thoughts and slightly bend my knees ready for anything "Hinata-chan! Kaijin-chan! Wait up!" It was none other than that Kiba kid with his dog Akamaru coming towards us with big grins and his hand waving in the air. We turned around and waited for Kiba to catch up. When he reached us even before he got to speak I interrupted him "The name is Mika. Don't get it mixed up." My tone was more than demanding.
Hinata interrupted "I p-picked out a name to c-c-all her while s-s-he regains her m-memories." Kiba brushed my vulgarity off and continued with his happy-go-lucky composure. "Cool name….Mika-chan? I like it suits you. Good job Hinata-chan." He widened his grin, it made me wonder if when his skin would split from smiling too much. Akamaru just barked and rub against my legs like a cat would, a very large cat that practically pushed me down.
While the other two chatted I petted Akamaru. He whined when I would stop, but loved getting being petted behind his ears, so much he nuzzled against my leg putting his weight on me. I kept at it and Akamaru just wagged his tail and yipped at me. His yipping turned into small barks getting louder and louder. He sniffed the air and then sniffed my hand and nipped it with his teeth. Kiba stopped laughing and paid attention to his partner's actions.
"What's wrong boy?" Akamaru growled. "What that's impossible…. but how can…." He looked at me then back at Akamaru. 'Get that mutt away from me. You have no business with this trash. Leave now.' "There's no way…." I heard Kiba whisper and look at the ground. "Come on Hinata-san I bet Lady Tsunade is needing us back by now." With that I left the group heading back to the tower once again. Hinata stood there for a second then quickly spoke "Bye Kiba-kun." And bowed then ran to catch up with me.
I got a watchful gaze from Hinata asking what was wrong, but I ignored it as she just glanced my way from now and then. I was too lost in my thoughts to answer either. 'Why was I being followed? Why did Akamaru bark at me like that? What did he smell that was so bad? And more importantly who was the Orochimaru guy?" a tremble went through my body was the name crossed my mind. I felt sick to the stomach and my head pounded with more and more questions that one day will be hopefully answered. We walked in silence as we approached the tower.
A/N: The whole name thing kind of bothered me and I had a few names that I contemplated with and I decided to choose something simple and short for the time being till she regains her memories or if she ever does. :)
