Enjoy my procrastination with this new chapter! :p

My body was numb, I couldn't feel a thing. My eyes burned, I was stuck in deep thought, which was until I heard a sound that made me come out of my stupor. I realized I had now sat down in front of the window and had stared out of for who knows how long. The sun was now going down leaving an orange glow in the sky. I quickly shook my head and blinked my eyes. I was sitting up straight, my legs were crossed, and my folded in my lap. I shrugged that off and tried to get up from the floor.

I heard another noise, this time it was a different one. I froze to hear it again but I heard nothing but silence. My head cocked to the side when I heard the wind blow softly against the trees outside. 'I smell trouble. Ke ke' It wasn't a second after that I hear footsteps approach the room. I stood up and faced out the window instinctively and stared at the lowering sun. The sky was getting dark and darker very fast.

There was a gentle knock at the door. I knew that knock it was Hinata. I turned my head to see her. She looked depressed and saddened more than before, but the fear was gone. "I see that the conversation went well." The sarcastic remark flew out of my mouth like nothing. "I-I-it." She shyly looked down and I could almost predict that she was about to cry. "I was joking. You can't take me that seriously. Lighten up. I-I apologize if offended you any." I walked to her form leaning against the door way.

I reached my hand towards her and she didn't move. I placed my hand on her shoulder and she tensed. I retracted my hand thinking that she didn't want me to bother her, 'but then why did she stop by.' I looked down to see her face and she looked up to meet mine, the sadness wiped from her face and was replace with a small smile. "Your h-hands are v-very cold. I also don't m-mind. I c-came h-h-ere to t-tell you g-goodnight and t-that I w-will see you in the m-morning."

I started at my hand then placed it onto my face to see if it felt cold, but I didn't feel a thing wrong with it. I looked at Hinata once again as she was speaking. "A-and in my a-absence there w-will be s-someone here to t-tend to you w-wounds so you d-don't have to w-w-worry about that." I smiled softly to her. "Thanks." She turned around to walk away but I felt the need to stop her. "Hey, you shouldn't hold all that inside of you. It will eat you alive, somehow I kind of know. Heh?" I had no clue where the words came from like almost everything that came out of my mouth but at least I said something instead of ignoring it.

She just nodded and left the room, I slid the door closed. I sighed loudly and walked to look outside once again. It was night now and the stars twinkle beside the moon and they lite up the sky. I shivered at the thought of what happened previously this day. 'I had a father figure who was now dead, a Hokage that wants to see the skills that I have no knowledge of, and that organization named…. Akatsuki? That I appeared before when I woke up.'

I slightly paced back and forth when I replayed all the events in my mind to see if any of them were more connected than I thought. No more than half a minute later I hear the tree outside move. I didn't feel a breeze and my curiosity made me take a look. I saw nothing but leaves and tree bark. I shook my head thinking it was my brain trying to get a distraction from all the overwhelming thinking.

I leaned against the wall and my head on the window seal, crossing my arms against my chest. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, collecting what was left of my thoughts. I heard a slight shuffling of wings land next to my head. I didn't bother to open them up when I inhaled the scent similar to dirt. I automatically knew whose scent it was. It was the blonde from the Akatsuki. I half-opened one eye to see the figure's outline in the darkness. It was shaped like a bird, a beautiful bird at that. It looked dark blue in the moon light, but I knew that wasn't its true color when I opened my eyes fully to examine it.

I reached out to touch it when my hand was grabbed from another one from outside. "Cool, hun? Yeah." I retracted my hand and looked at the person before me. His presence felt familiar but his face did not, it was obvious but I didn't recognize him. I reached to touch his face which was now tanned and had a scar on his cheek. "Is that supposed to be a rhetorical question?" I smirked and pinched his cheek to see if it was a mask. "Ouch, un." He swatted my hand away and rubbed the spot where I pinched him.

It wasn't a mask. "How am I supposed to answer something like that?" I said flatly. The bird landed on my shoulder and flapped its wings. "You know that's explosive clay, yeah?" he smirked. I shrugged and backed away from the window to let him enter. He climbed quietly through the window. "It's my specialty. Art is a bang, un." His grin grew wide and his eyes sparkled. "Doesn't that bother you that I could blow your shoulder at any moment?" I showed him no emotion on my face while I walked to the empty rectangle on the floor, which agitated him. "I could blow you to bits without a moment's notice, un…. Aren't you a little scared, yeah"

His face fell when I took the bird gently in my hand to examine it. It was a great work of art I will admit to that, but I wasn't going to tell him. "No. I am not scared or even bothered. If you wanted to have blown me up you would have done it once the bird reached close enough, and if you did even set it off the sound would have alerted the Hyūga's and which I think they would be most displeased that somebody had blown up their guest that the Hokage herself asked them to watch." My voice had a slight tint of sarcasm. "I don't think you would have gotten away easily, even if you were light on your feet." I smiled

He was speechless. His mouth hung open and froze. "You thought that all up in just that little of time. You're smarter than I thought, un." He wore a smug look on his face. "You underestimated us obviously." I shut my trap and eyed him closely… 'Us? Really what's up with me? Is this what I usually was like before all of the blacking out happened? Or was it just the other side talking?' He seemed not to notice my change of character. "What are you doing here anyways, wouldn't it be suspicious. I mean a girl having a guy in her room late at night, and especially if her first night in town…. Why are you here?"

He shrugged his shoulders and took his bird out of my hand "Leader-sama said to keep an eye on you, and I got bored. Making sculptures all day and keeping up with you while you shop gets boring, un." he smirked. "Well sorry for not being the most exciting person you've ever met, but I have other issues to tend to instead of being your entertainment." I stuck my tongue out at him as I pouted from losing my new friend. I looked at him and he was back to his old long blonde hair self.

I blinked twice thinking it was an illusion, but my eyes weren't what was wrong. "How'd you do that?" "Do what, un?" he looked at me confused. "Your back to your blonde self, how'd you do it?" I walked closer to him. He was just the same as I first met him the cloak and all. "You mean the simple transformation technique? You've never heard of that, un?" he looked freaked out. "No, should I?" I quickly got slightly angered by his reaction. "HA….ah…hahahaha" he started to laugh.

"Why are you laughing? There isn't anything funny." I crossed my arm defensively. He stopped laughing abruptly, and I knew why. There were footsteps approaching the room once again. "Well that's my que to go, yeah." He swiftly flew out the window without a sound. Leaving my upset from his idiotic outburst. I was left watching him from the window disappear when a knock came at the door once again.

I turned to be surprised that it was Neji. "I heard talking. Who were you talking to?" he demanded. "No one, just myself. After all that's happened today I guess I was thinking out loud. I apologize if you thought else ways." I left no indication of the fib on my face or in my body language. He walked into my room with his hands full of bandages and a bucket of water. "Hn. I am here to clean you wounds. The others are currently sick, so I will be taking care of the m for the time being."

I nodded and he closed the door behind him. I sat on the edge of my unmade futon and hung my legs over it while he got the supplies ready. I took off my shirt while he went to work taking off the bandage. With my hands interlocked behind my head he unwound the bandage. I felt awkward with the bandage off, my skin got used to having it on all the time. I shuttered once he started to wipe my back with a damp cloth, probably cleaning off the excess blood.

"What happened?" I silently cursed to myself. "I don't remember." I sighed this family thinks alike. "Hn." was his reply. We didn't speak after that, I liked the fact he didn't push the subject anymore, because I wouldn't have been to answer many of his further questions. Before I knew it he was handing me my shirt for me to put back on. "Thanks." He nodded and gathered his things "You might want to put your futon together, you will be waking before dawn tomorrow." I nodded and silently thanked him for his advice.

After he left I just stared at the moon, not taking his advice. I wasn't being rude, I just didn't have any interest in sleeping. I wasn't a bit tired, well I didn't think. I bent forward to stretch the new bandage out more so I could move easily. Leaning on the window I fell back into my thoughts trying to make sense of it all. 'I was supposed to come back here that's what the Third said, but why? Why was I supposed to come back here and did he know that he was going to die? Was that why he leaved that scroll behind, or was it a precaution. I don't know who you are Orochimaru, but you will pay for what you did, even if my life is on the line, I will avenge the Third.' I made a silent oath to myself that night, that I would carry for the rest of my life.
