A/N: :D here is the chapter you all have been waiting for! The beginning of the end... or is it?
I was on my way back from the hospital being discharged after being looked at for a few hours. The nurses said there wasn't anything they could do for me since they didn't understand themselves as of what happened. They questioned everyone then sent them home, except for my guide Hinata. Shizune even came to visit and to look over me she told me that "I will have Tsunade and myself look at you after researching you particular 'condition'". She put emphasized the last word, why, I don't know. After the other nurses cleared that I was back to as normal as anyone in my 'contention' could be and changed my bandages, they released me and told me to get some rest at the Hyūga compound.
Hinata and I walked side by side, our strides in sync. I looked up at the sky watching the sun set in the sky behind the famous mountain and I shivered. Hinata walked with her head held low, thinking about something, leaving with a confused look on her face. I didn't know exactly what she was confused over, but I spoke up anyways. "Hinata?" she looked up to meet my eyes "whatever you're thinking about, don't let it get to you. It's not your fault what happened at the training ground, heck I'm just glad you didn't just run off the field and leave me there." I forced a laugh and scratched the back of my head at the end to try and lighten up her mood.
Hinata nodded and let a small soft smile spread on her lips. "Thanks Mika-chan." I nudged her arm with my elbow "You were really amazing on the field today. Your control was really awesome." She lite up and spoke "Thank you and y-you're also really fast. I c-could barely k-keep up with you…. Mika-chan?" Hinata stopped and her face dropped and went serious. "Yeah Hinata-chan?" I stopped a few paces ahead. "U-um…. During the spar…. What distracted y-you?" I tensed up. Hinata saw this and frowned. "I-I-I-m sorry I-I-I shouldn't h-have asked." She looked down at the ground once again. "No, its fine. Um…. I don't really know. But once I do I'll let you know for sure." I smiled at the timid girl before me giving her a thumbs up. "You're really the closet person that I can trust here you know. You're the only friend I got in this place. You will be the first person to tell."
She nodded and put on her smile and we started to walk towards the compound once again. We chatted and laughed like we knew each other for years. But that didn't stop the darkness that was hidden in the back of my mind. I had a very bad feeling something horrible was about to happen. I could almost taste it in the air, like before. The voice in my head was silent, almost like it was anticipating something, and I wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing. Silence is what scared me the most. You never knew what was going to happen.
We arrived back at the compound with the moon rising form the sky greeting us. Neji let us in and escorted me and Hinata to my temporary room. "We have your clothes that you had purchased when you first got here. They are in the dresser." Then he left to go tell Hiroshi that we have returned. Hinata and I continued to talk, she spoke of all the missions she had been on and all the mishaps and pranks Kiba and Naruto had pulled. It wasn't long before I noticed "Hey Hinata-chan, your stuttering is getting better. It's almost gone now when you speak to me." I interrupted her. "eh?" she blushed "I-I haven't even noticed" she whispered to me. "Now don't give me that. I was something that I had just noticed myself."
We both let out a snicker then a knock at the paper door hushed us both. "Yes?" I answered. It was Hiroshi, "Hinata may I have a word with you." His voice was strong and sounded angry. I saw Hinata gulp and fear flash before her eyes. I felt my stomach turn at the sight. 'Why is she so scared of him?' I suppressed a growl in my throat as Hinata silently left the room wishing me to rest thoroughly. I sighed and laid down on the floor beside the cut out and stared at the moon. I closed my eyes and exhaled, relaxing my body. 'You better go to your check up on Hinata, her father didn't seem too pleased.' It wasn't a second later that the voice in my head spoke to me. It scoffed 'I don't see why you should, she can handle herself, and she is a trained shinobi.' 'You don't think I know that. I worry about the only friend I have.' 'Are you sure she is your friend. It was forced on her to be your guide other than that she wouldn't have given you a second look, pathetic emotions can get you in a hell of a situation.'
I turned over onto my stomach, I didn't have anything to retort with so I just left it as silence and shivered. I knew the voice was right, somehow I could feel as though I've had experience with the subject. Loud yelling and a crash hit my daft ears, I jumped up and threw myself out of the room without thinking. I ran out the door and silently went towards the noise. I found Neji sitting outside of a room leaning against the wall his head resting on his knees that were pulled to his chest. I went to sit beside him. He didn't say a word and neither did I. It was obvious who was shouting with rage, Hiroshi and even more obvious who he was shouting at, Hinata.
"….All you had to do was look after one little girl, was that so hard? The Hokage specially requested you to do this one mission, and you even had to screw it up. It was not even one full day Hinata, not even one day. You're a dishonor to this family." I could feel the anger that came behind the paper-thin walls. "You will never be able to face the world with the Hyūga name upon you. I gave you a second chance by the sincere request of Lady Tsunade…. and you had to ruin that too. I loathe wretched, pathetic shinobi like you. Weak, worthless, you can't even speak without bringing shame on the Hyūga family. This was your final chance …. And you blew it." His voice grew loud and shrank at times almost to a whisper emphasizing the way he felt about Hinata.
I didn't notice it then, but I was shaking and mumbling silently to myself, scratching at my arms, digging my nails into my flesh drawing blood. I heard a loud 'smack!' I snapped letting a growl escape my throat. I burst into the room so fast that I was beside Hinata before she even hit the floor. I held Hinata in my arms, she had tears running down her reddened face, blood dripped from her lips. My growl grew louder and fiercer, my mouth tasted metallic. I closed my eyes and slowly opened them to seek the perpetrator. I glared at Hiroshi as he stumbled back with surprise.
"You." I growled with so much bitter hate it burned. "You don't you ever lay your hand on her ever again." My muscles were contracting hysterically. "You can do whatever you want with me, but don't you ever lay your hand upon my friend again." My chest heaved up and down, my eyes saw red outlined everything with black. "You're pathetic to even think you could father such a wonderful human. You are the worthless, disgusting, a vile weak being. This is my only one and final warning. If I ever hear such as a peep that you've hurt anyone or anything to do with Hinata and your head will be mine. Am I clear." He stood there frozen in shock. "Am I clear?" I snarled. He just nodded his head.
I picked up the silently sobbing Hinata in my arms with ease and left the room, pushing Neji out of the door way as I left. I was still shaking and feeling an ominous darkness of hate and rage building within me. My breathing was quiet and heavy, my steps were soundless and rapid. I escaped the compound without any intrusion and left it in the distance, never to return.
A/N: so how that you can conclude why Hinata isn't living with the Huyga clan.
