Alright so this chapter is set end of summer (obviously) before the crew enters 11th grade, or Junior year.

Wow.

Just wow. He knew Kate was beautiful, but he could've never imagined.

Summer break was the best. Kate, Rick and the gang had been hanging out almost everyday. Their parents had quickly bonded and they were morphing into a sort of family. The fathers got together and decided they should have a barbecue, just one last blow out before everyone went back to school or had more work to do. It was also a bit of a going away party for Kevin, whose parents were sending him off to Catholic school.

It was the last week of summer, Saturday to be exact, and the kids had all arrived at the Beckett household, in swim wear as suggested, and were engaged and a game of "Dunk Tag" when Kate exited the back door and all eyes fell on her.

In a blue silk bikini with spandex shorts over the bottom she walked to the edge of the pool, removed her sandals and dipped her feet in the water, with all eyes still on her. The parents quickly recovered and chuckled it off. Lanie and Jenny soon joined them and gave her whistles and appreciative claps. The boys eyes were still glued to her as she removed her shorts and sat back down, laughing as Lanie slapped Javi in the back of his head and Kevin received a glare from Jenny. Rick however made his way over to his girlfriend trying extremely hard not to pass out.

When he finally got to where she sat he placed his hands at her waist.

"You look amazing."

"Yeah, I figured so," she looked down at Rick's body appreciatively "you however take the cake for best swimsuit or," she met his eyes with a flirty glance "lack there of." He chuckled and groaned at the same time causing Kate to giggle.

"Now Katie," he said and gripped her waist "you can finally join our game."

"Rick, don't you-" the rest of her protest was cut off by the rush of water hitting her body. She sunk into the pool and found herself still wrapped around Rick's body. She moved to resurface needing air, but was caught of guard when Rick pressed his mouth to hers. She was so caught up when Rick slipped his tongue into her mouth she didn't even notice the flash. When she and Rick finally resurfaced and made they're way back to the end of the pool he took out his phone and begin playing with it, or so she thought.

"I just got this water proof feature on my new phone, plus I needed a new picture for your contact and my wallpaper so..." he flipped the phone around and showed her the screen. There, just behind his lock screen, was a picture of her and Rick, underwater in a very loving kiss just as they were moments before, except this time there were little photo shopped hearts everywhere. Her heart melted at the sight.

"Now every time I get a call, a text, or basically anything on my phone, I'll be able to relive this moment." So sweet. That's all she could she could think. She began leaning forward to give him another kiss when her Kevin called.

"Alright, everyone out! It's movie time!" Rick reluctantly pulled away and Kate helped him out. All the kids quickly ran up the stairs and into any available bathroom. Once they were all dressed, they walked back outside grabbed their plates and sat in the grass where there was a sheet set up and a projector behind them. The couples all sat together with the parents snuggled up on the left side of the lawn and the kids on the right.

Jenny lay next to Kevin, modestly holding hands. Javi and Lanie sat up, side by side, with Javi's arm around her while he whispered things in her ear. Kate sat with her back against Rick's chest, his arms around her and her head against his shoulder. Jim looked at them, marveling at how happy his daughter was and how grown up she was getting. Visions of walking her down the isle and giving her away to Rick flashed across his eyes until he recovered and pressed play on the projector.

"Alright gang, here we go."

"What are we watching Dad?" Kate asked.

"You'll see."

Everyone turned their eyes to the screen, only to be met by the voice of what had to be a younger Jim.

"Okay Katie, easy. Easy now, don't go to fast.

The camera flicked to a much younger Kate maybe one year old, one and a half tops. It appeared to be the video of her first steps. Everyone awed and cooed at the tiny Kate on screen while she covered her eyes and burrowed into Rick in embarrassment. He whispered "you are so cute" which only made her blush furiously. All enjoyed the tiny Kate until the video flicked to something that appeared to be a closed bathroom door. Singing could be heard from the other side of the door.

"Bubbles, bubbles, I love bubbles. Snuggle snuggle huggable, I love bubbles."

All waited to see who ended up at the end of the camera as the door swung upon, all but one.

"Ducky, ducky, I love my rubber ducky. Snuggle snuggle lucky, I love my rubber ducky- MOM!"

On the other side of the camera sat a very embarrassed six year old Rick in the middle of a sea bubbles with his hair styled up in a soapy Mohawk.

"Oh, Richard really, it's just us. No one will ever see it."

"Okay."

And with that little Rick on the screen began his song again while his mother giggled along. Meanwhile, big Rick in the grass was trying to hide the red tint in his face behind his sweater while Kate whispered "you are so cute" in his ear.

As the note went along, everyone got their share of embarrassment, Lanie in a tutu in stead of a pamper dancing in the kitchen, Javi with underwear on his head playing in his mom's underwear drawer, even Jenny got in on it when she was seen with red lipstick all over her face and her hair in disarray. However, Kevin received the embarrassment crown with his video. He was filmed standing in his room with paint on everything except his butt dancing to "Baby Got Back". The laughter was everywhere as the group lost it in a fit of giggles and Kevin's face turned tomato red.

After the laughter subsided, the families all helped clean up gathered their stuff and began to part. They said their quick yet heartfelt goodbyes to Kevin and were on their way. Johanna and Jim retired upstairs just as Martha headed to the car and left Rick to say goodbye to Kate.

At the door, he hugged her and began to leave when she tugged his arm and pulled him in for a long, deep kiss. He pulled back dazed and confused, yet love-struck and with a dreamy expression. She clicked away at her phone then showed him her own phone screen. There was a picture he didn't even know she had taken of their shared kiss seconds ago with little photo shopped hearts around it.

"What? Your not the only one who needed a knew wallpaper and icon." She giggled at his beaming grin and kissed him once more until releasing him to his mother.

"Night Rick."

"Until tomorrow, Kate."

Oh, gosh how she loved that guy.
