Time for more plot development!
Got a tumblr message from an anon saying there were more story lines beyond Caskett
So HERE WE GO!
It was Friday finally.
The gang all thought the first week back to school would be great, but it proved to be truly challenging. Between new teachers and lockers and schedules, they barely had time for each other, which of course put quite the strain on the relationships. But, leave it to Rick to play hero. He mailed Kevin a couple of pg 13 movies to watch while he was "being brainwashed by the nuns" and a secret phone to contact Jenny. He allowed Javier to take his season pass for the movies and gave him some pointers on his first official date with Lanie. While everyone thanked him for his generosity, he had to admit that he wasn't totally without gain in the setup. This way he had Kate all to himself. He and Kate were walking to their street when he noticed her worrying her bottom lip.
"Hey," he looked her worry filled eyes and stopped "what's wrong?"
"Why don't you ever want to take me to your place?"
He chuckled nervously "You've been to my place before. Plus, why would you wanna be there? Nothing special." He let go of her hand and continued walking. She caught up to him and tried to get a read on his sudden change in demeanor.
"No. I've been outside of your house. I've never actually been inside. Plus, I've never met your Dad and I've barely spoken to your mom. Where as you and my parent's are practically best friends."
"Okay first, he's not my Dad, he's my step-dad," he said it so forcefully it startled her. He muttered a sorry and continued "and my mom's ... she's just not very talkative."
"Oh come on Rick, when we first started dating, when ever I'd call you I'd here her in the background just chatting away." She giggled at the memory of the accidental slip Martha had made by calling out that Rick's "Care Bear undee's" were in the dryer.
"Besides, I thought we could go... check out your bedroom." That immediately hooked him.
"Alright fine. But if my parents are home, you better control yourself." He teased
"Hmm, I'll think about it." She giggled and he threw her on his back and carried a squealing Kate the rest of the way.
When they arrived at his house, she asked for a drink of water. He came back with an ice cold glass, expecting her to drink it, but was shocked when she turned it over on his head.
"Your gonna pay for that!"
Rick chased her around his seemingly large house until they were both pretty soaked.
"Okay, this was fun, but I should probably get home and change."
"No need. I've got something you could borrow." She looked at him hesitantly, but he laughed it off and led her to his room. While he went in search of clothes, she marveled at the size of his house.
The more she looked around the bigger the house appeared. It was a palace that could fit two of her living rooms in each room. The living space was so Rick and she got lost in the many artifacts in his room, revealing apart of his life to her with each look.
"Here you go. I tried to find something in my mother's room, but her wardrobe's a little on the festive side so..."
He handed her a sweatshirt of his with a pair of jeans from his mom's "teenage years" and pointed her towards his bathroom. She quickly got changed into the pants which fit surprisingly well, and went to put on the sweatshirt. Once she lifted it up, she noticed what it said. Right on the front, in big, black letters: Rick's girl.
She giggled at her boyfriend's "subtlety" and slipped the shirt on. She walked out and did a little turn approaching him from where he sat on the bed.
"Like it?"
"Love it!" He said while pulling her into his lap. She kissed him and before long things became extremely heated. He laid her back on the bed and pressed his palms into hers, effectively pinning her under him. He loosed her hands and began working on her neck while she removed his shirt. Her moans egged him on and he undid the button of her jeans. She scratched her nails along his back and he began to remove her jeans when-
"Ricky I- oh! Wow, uh, wow, I'll just be down stairs."
Rick and Kate jumped apart and looked up to find Rick's step dad fleeing the room.
"Dammit." Rick mumbled under his breath and turned just in time to catch Kate fix her self and spring for the door.
"Wait!" He ran after her and caught her in the foyer putting her shoes on.
"Kate look at me," he waited until her eyes met his and he saw the unshed tears in them "I'm sorry. That was just my step-dad being his normal jack ass self. I'm sorry about him."
"Don't apologize for me! I didn't do enough to need forgiveness." Just then Rick's step-dad, Walter, walked in and by the smell of him, he was wasted.
"Hey there young lady. Looks like Rick finally grew a pair and brought home a nice piece of ass. For a bit, there I thought you were gay!" Rick scoffed and it only egged Walter on. Well I'm proud of you son," he gave Rick a sloppy kiss on his cheek and then proceeded into the living room. Kate took this as an opportunity for her to bolt. The tears were so close, but she couldn't break down, not yet. Rick stopped her on the stoop.
"Kate, hold on. I'll walk you home."
"Don't you need to help him or something?!"
"Look I know he's a nuisance, but you don't have to deal with him everyday. He'll be fine. He's just drunk."
"Drunk or not, he shouldn't be able to talk or about people like that."
"Look, you cant even begin to understand, okay?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, I'm just saying, not all of us can be east side loft dwellers and have perfect parents." No. He didn't go there. He did not just go there.
"Oh, I see. Well, you know what, call me when you stop thinking like an ass," she began to storm off
"Kate, wait."
"And just in case it wasn't clear, we're not going to Josh's party together."
"Oh what so you're just not going then? Everyone from school's going Kate you can't just not go."
"Oh I'm going. Just not with you!" Then she stormed off down the block.
By the time Rick arrived, the party was in full swing. The sounds of base pumping and glass shattering filled the air and every girl there was dressed in their skimpiest outfits, but he didn't care. He was looking for Kate. He needed to find her. Things had gotten out of hand earlier and he just wanted to make it right. He searched both upstairs and downstairs for 30 minutes with no luck.
He finally found her about 10 minutes later. She was in the kitchen with about 12 other girls doing Tequila shots and Jello shots and by the time he found her, she was already way over her limit. He looked at the guys playing vulture around her. Will and his two flunkies Josh and Tom were enjoying the sight except Tom looked a little uncomfortable with the situation. Once done with what he perceived to be her 7th shot, she turned to Will who seductively fed her a cherry. Rick walked straight up to her and tapped her on her shoulder.
"Ricky, baby! I'm so glad you're here! I thought you'd never show. Come meet my friends! This is Tom and Will and you already know Josh. Tom and Will are really good friends of mine." The other two guys gave him simple nods, but Rick placed his arm around her waist and pulled her into his side.
"So, you're the infamous Rick, huh? I gotta tell you man, I nursed this cutie's little broken heart for at least two hours. You must've really screwed yourself, dude."
"Yeah, I guess you could say that."
"Well, good thing I was here to pick up every adorable little piece." Will tapped her nose, eliciting a giggle form Kate and a glare from Rick. How dare he? Kate is a strong, stubborn, independent girl and with two hours and a bottle of cheap Tequila, he's turned her into a five year old girl.
"Yeah well, it's time we were getting home, come on Kate." Will tightened his hold on Kate's waist.
"Let her go."
"That's up to the lady, bro. I only release to parents." He and Josh chuckled while Tom just looked on.
"Kate, let's go."
"No! I want to stay here, with Tommy. He's fun and he doesn't yell at me or judge me."
"Kate I told you, I'm sorry. Look, we can talk about his later come on."
No response.
"Fine, I guess I'll just tell your Dad to come get you then." He started to walk off when-
"Wait!" She turned Will "I'd better go."
"No problem, sweet thing. My number's in your phone. Call me anytime." She giggled and then turned on unsteady feet to Rick. He reached out and helped her then turned a glare back to Will.
"Rick," he walked straight to his face "be sure to take care of my girl. If you ever mess up again, I'll be right back to pick up the pieces."
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind."
"Tell Jim and Jo Will says hi!" Will yelled at them and it unnerved Rick a bit. He knew her parents? How was that possible?
He quickly got her into the car and listened to her incoherent rambling as they drove to his house. He threw her over his shoulder and carried her into his house and up to his room. Once there, he called her parents and allowed them to talk to Martha about Kate staying the night. It was pretty late so Martha would've agreed to elephant breeding in the backyard, but Rick couldn't risk Kate getting grounded.
He came back to his room to find her asleep already. He removed her shoes and jacket and pulled the covers over her. He kissed her head and grabbed a blanket then knocked out on the armchair near his bed. One thing's for certain. They were going to have a hell of a weekend.
Okay! This one was a bit long, but I like where it went!
Enjoy!
Love Always, XOXOX
