Cornelia and the rest of her royal guards stared in awe as the mechanical phoenix protected the Black Knights with the use of some strange purple barrier that was seemingly more advance than the Blaze Luminous. "Guilford, what the hell is that thing?" Cornelia asked in curiosity.
"I have no idea, your highness." Guildford answered bluntly as he held the controls of his Gloucester's tightly. He didn't know why but he was feeling a bit nervous at the sight of that strange machine protecting those terrorist.
"B1, B2, go to P5 and provide backup for R1." Zero ordered with a calculative tone, the Search Eye system was helping him keep track of his forces. "I will deal with Cornelia."
"Are you sure, Zero?" Inoue asked, worried about the safety of their leader.
"She's pretty tough and you're outnumbered." Yoshida added with a calculative voice.
"I have my Queen and my sister to back me up against this level of resistance." Zero then shifted his gaze at Cornelia and her royal guard. "Give us ten minutes, at most, and we will be done here." Zero exclaimed passively as the two rebels looked at each other.
After a second, Yoshida spoke. "Cornelia won't let us escape that easily nor unscratched."
"I know," Zero said in a soft whisper. "GTS Formation, I will provide the cover." Zero commanded as the Kuro hōō deactivated its shield before firing its Slash Harkens towards Cornelia's forces.
When the shield was lowered, Cornelia's guards' sprang into action but before they could fire a single shot, the Kuro hōō's beam machine gun tore through their ranks as the beam impulses forced Cornelia and her guards to break formation.
"Those are not bullets." Dalton commented as his bazooka was shot out of his Gloucester's hands by those beams. "Not even that crazy earl has this kind of weapon." Dalton added as he reached for his Gloucester's rifle.
"I never would have thought that these Elevens are capable of such technology." Guilford exclaimed with a respectful tone as he and a few of the royal guards began to fire at the charging Black Knights. Begrudgingly, Guildford was impressed; the new formation of the Black Knights was genius as the twelve Knightmares of the Black Knights were divided into four attacking groups, their shield held up as they weaved left-to-right while steadily advancing towards them. Strangely, they were not returning firing but merely defending.
"Goddamn it, someone disarm those shields from those Knightmares." Cornelia ordered in frustration as she was forced to dodge the Slash Harkens that was fired at her. She did not want to get hit by those, especially after she witnessed those slash harkens being enveloped by some kind of beam energy. How those Elevens developed this kind of technology was mind boggling.
Two Gloucesters aimed their bazookas at the approaching enemy but their weapons were shot down as three Slash Harkens of the Kuro hōō continue raining down beam impulses upon them. With no means to defend themselves, Cornelia's forces did not have a choice but dodge the attacks as the beams were able to easily penetrate through the armor of their Gloucester, evident to the fact that one Gloucester was caught in the onslaught and was torn to pieces by the beam impulses. It was quite fortunate, for Cornelia that the pilot was able to eject in time but still, those beams were deadly.
Because of the onslaught, Cornelia could only watch as the twelve Knightmares that had attacked her retreated from the battle. She would have pursued them but her focus was on the Slash Harken that was pursuing her frame. She did not want to know what that beam covered Slash Harken was capable of. "I thought the Harkens Booster is still experimental." Cornelia muttered in annoyance as she tried to destroy the Slash Harken that was chasing her by firing her rifle at the projectile while dodging but the beam merely cause the bullet to explode on impact. Cornelia groaned a bit. "Dalton, Guilford, pursue, I'll handle Zero." That did not bode well for Guilford or for Dalton.
"Your highness, no. We have no idea what that thing is capable off." Guildord exclaimed loudly and to the shock of practically all of them, the thing that Guildford was referring to flew towards the sky as it recalled it's four Slash Harkens that have been tormenting them.
"That thing can fly, how the hell could that be possible." Dalton mumbled in shock. How could something that big be capable of flight?
Cornelia could only watched in curiosity as the mechanical phoenix once again launched all of its Slash Harkens and to her surprise, the Slash Harkens combined before firing a concentrated red beam towards Cornelia and her royal guards. Cornelia cursed at the sight of that beam as she shouted to her soldiers to dodge. They did but three Gloucesters were caught by the destructive force of the beam, obliterating their entire frame.
Cornelia was impressed, yet at the same time, unnerved at the power of that weapon. How the hell did those terrorist get a hold of a powerful weapon like that? "Spread out, fire at every direction, bring that thing down." Cornelia commanded as she brought her rifle up and began unleashing a torrent of bullets at the mechanical phoenix which was followed by Guilford, Dalton and the rest of the 17 Knightmares at Cornelia's disposal. Those bullets didn't even touch the strange machine as the purple barrier once again protected it.
Cornelia groaned in frustration as she motion for her guards to stop firing, knowing that it was only a waste of ammunition. "We need to figure out how to bypass that barrier." Cornelia grumbled as static suddenly field her communication link.
"Good afternoon Cornelia." That voice instantly made the princess growled in anger.
"Zero," Cornelia hissed as the communication link was now open to all channels.
"What do you think of my command unit and my personal machine, the Kuro hōō your highness?" Zero inquired coyly. "It's a beauty, isn't it?"
An angry expression graced Cornelia's regal face before a smile slowly made its way on her lips. "So you're piloting that thing, perfect. I don't care how large that thing or how strong the defenses of that thing has, I will take that thing down and you with it." That made Zero chuckled.
"True, you're a way better pilot than I am but sadly, you won't be able to touch me." Zero stated with a laughed. "I'm not going to be your opponent, not now anyways." Zero said with conviction.
"You're such a coward, Zero, but I guess all terrorist are like that." Cornelia exclaimed as she and her guards slowly surround him.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, your highness." Zero replied nonchalantly. "But don't fret my dear; your opponent will be arriving right about now." And with that said, twin cyclones burst out from out of nowhere, freezing two frames that were about to fire at the Kuro hōō, freezing the inside of their frames as well as encasing them in ice. A Silver frame then appeared out of nowhere, shattering the two with a well place spin kick.
That surprised Cornelia and her guards but they were more surprise as a red Knightmare suddenly appeared behind them, cutting a frame in half while grabbing another via the silver claw that was its right hand. The silver claw then emitted some sort of red energy causing the frame to expand and budge until it exploded.
The two strange frames then stood beside the Kuro hōō while Cornelia ordered her troops to regroup. "Are those custom frames?" Dalton asked out of curiosity as their forces prepared for a confrontation.
"No they are not," Zero answered as he hacked through the Britannians communication link. "The red one is called Guren MK-II while the silver one is the Magdalene; two Seventh Generation Knightmare Frames exclusively used by my elites." Zero added with a chuckle. "Where the hell is that white Knightmare, I truly want to see if it could hold a candle against this two machines of mine and again, I'm curious about the pilot, he is skilled enough to challenged my Queen." Zero said with a low laughed as his voice was carried all the way to the Britannians G-1 Land cruiser.
"Don't get cocky Zero, those are just two units and they are only….." Zero cut Cornelia off, not letting her finish her statement.
"Two units that is more superior to your Gloucester and piloted by my greatest warriors." Zero exclaimed with conviction. "If that white Knightmare won't come out, I'll smoke it out. My Queen, my witch play with Cornelia and her friends for a bit." Zero ordered, not even bothering to shift to their private link.
"Yes, my lord." The two shouted in unison. The Magdalene's whips then slid out from its forearms and it fired towards Cornelia's Gloucester. The whip instantly wrapped itself around Cornelia's Knightmare Frame and, to the shock of everyone there, was easily lifted from its feet to the air and was thrown a couple of yards away from her gathered allies. Cornelia grunted in pain as he Knightmare was slam to the ground.
"Such strength," Cornelia muttered as the whip was removed around her Gloucester. Her guards were about to approach her but the Guren jumped in front of them, its sword and claw armed and ready.
"Well isn't this a joy." Kallen muttered with a predatory like smile.
(Scene Change)
"Oh my, is that a challenge?" Lloyd shouted in delight after hearing the public broadcast of Zero and Cornelia's conversation. "Two Seven Generation Knightmares at our enemy's disposal, that's a curious thing." A boisterous grin then grace Lloyd face. "And to think, he wants to test those out with my Lancelot, what an honor."
"Lloyd, this is not the time to be delighted by the compliments of the enemy." Cecile scolded with a frown.
Lloyd merely smiled as the two entered the cockpit of the Lancelot while Suzaku began playing with the controls, anxious to go out and fight. "Congratulations! You might get some fighting time, this is our chance." Lloyd exclaimed with a delighted tone.
"Lloyd," Suzaku hissed as he jerked his head at the mad scientist.
"You're so rash." Cecile said with a frown but Lloyd paid no mind as he opened a communication link between the Lancelot and their command center.
(With Euphemia)
"The Viceroy is fighting Zero, where is her reinforcement?"
"Still have no signal from the Purist Faction."
"What the hell are those purists doing?" One of the officials sneered.
"Sub-Viceroy Euphemia, we must use the G-1 to support the Viceroy." One of the officials stated as he witness their force being dismantled by the Black Knights. Whoever was their strategist was brilliant.
"We can't, the field hospital is here, too, along with all the evacuated civilians." Euphemia exclaimed in near panic as their forces were systematically torn down by the enemy. The landslide thins their forces down by at least sixty percent. "Do we have any more reserves?" Euphemia asked hopefully.
One of the officials shook his head to a negative. "All of our reserves are pursuing the JLF, we cannot let them escape or this mission will be lost."
That did not go well for Euphemia. "If we lost my sister, then the entire country will be lost." Euphemia almost shouted in dread. The normal gentle princess made all of them flinched. One of them was about to speak when the three members of the Camelot Project appeared on the screen. Euphemia's eyes instantly rested on Suzaku.
"Why hello there, Special Research and Development Group reporting!" Lloyd greeted with a grin.
"YOU INSOLENT FOOL!" One of the officials shouted in annoyance. At the time like this, there was no time for jokes.
"You're just an irregular unit, not even a real part of this army! How dare you?" Another voiced out his disgust. Lloyd was not the most popular noble in Area 11.
Cecile was about to apologize for her partner's rash behavior but Lloyd beat her too it. "We're getting rather bored down here and to think, the enemy has two Seven Generation frames, I think that is enough reason to deploy my Lancelot." Lloyd stated with a smirked as Cecile pulled his ear while muttering about his manners.
"What are you saying, you fool?" One of the officials sneered in irritation. "You think one unit alone can turn the tide of the entire battle."
"As a matter of fact, yes. You people did see what that landslide did to our forces." Lloyd retorted as he struggled with Cecile's grip on his ear. "I can guarantee you; one of the Knightmares that is currently fighting the Viceroy is the cause of it." Lloyd exclaimed but that merely annoyed the advisers present in the G-1.
"Sub-Viceroy Euphemia," Suzaku called out, finally speaking. "I beg of you! Give us the order to deploy!" Suzaku begged with a gentle tone.
That did not farewell with the officials present as they began to insult Suzaku but Euphemia suddenly remembered some of the words that her brother, Lelouch, said to her on their last meeting, words that not even Suzaku heard him utter.
'Suzaku, as foolish as he is, is the most righteous man I know. When the time comes, I hope you can trust him with your life.' Those words echoed in her head as she motion for the officials to be silent.
"Suzaku," Euphemia whispered as a smile made its ways to her beautiful face. "I understand and I trust you, you have my permission." Euphemia stated causing the officials around her to gasp in shock.
Lloyd let out a loud cheer as Suzaku smile at the princess. "I won't fail you." Suzaku swore with a determine voice.
"I know you won't." Euphemia replied as the communication link was turn off.
(Scene Change)
"You know Guildford, I blame you for this." Dalton mumbled under his breath as he dodges the glowing silver claw of the red Knightmare frame. He had seen what that thing was capable of and he did not want to experience it himself.
"What? Why?" Guilford asked in shock as his rifle was destroy by some invisible projectile before dodging the black, thorn-covered whip that was already proven to cut through Knightmares like hot knife through butter.
"You wanted a rematch against your dream girl but I ended up fighting her." Dalton teased with a chuckled as he dodge the beam sword that was cutting through their ranks like they were nothing. "And mind you, I don't like the idea of being toasted by that weird claw of hers." Dalton added with a low laughed.
Guildford on the other hand merely groaned. "Do you want to fight this thing then?" Guildford said, referring to the Silver Frame that was attacking him relentlessly. "I do not like my frame to be frozen solid, if you must know." Guildford exclaimed in annoyance as he dodge to right to avoid being hit by those invisible projectiles that have destroyed a couple of their long-range weaponry.
"You two, less talk, more fighting." Cornelia shouted as she tried to land a clear hit on the two Knightmares that were attacking them mercilessly but to no avail as they merely dance around her assault.
The original 21 Knightmares that they original had was thinned down to 15 now. One was destroyed by the Black Mechanical Phoenix, two were destroyed when the silver frame appeared out of nowhere and two were destroyed by that red frame. Another one was destroyed when it was torched by that Silver frame when its shoulder mounted twin cannons blasted it with two cones of lightning.
"You know, I could take them all down by myself." Kallen exclaimed through their private link. "You could just stay beside Lelouch and make sure that no one gets him from behind." Kallen said as she managed to cut down one Gloucester with the Middonaitorōtasu-Type 0. Seven down, fourteen to go.
"I would, but Cornelia is present and she is an excellent strategist." C.C. replied as she hit one Gloucester with the twin cyclones of the Magdalene. "You may win but you won't have enough energy to fight against the Lancelot and God knows you won't forgive me if I'm the one to fight that guy." C.C. exclaimed as she effortlessly blocked a Lance thrust coming from one of the Gloucester from Cornelia's command; she proceeded to destroy the said Gloucester by firing the Atmospheric Converter, Compress Mode in point blank range. The explosion of the Air Cannons was enough to completely dismantle the fifth generation frame. Nine down, twelve to go.
"Damn straight, I won't." Kallen replied as she sends a crescent beam towards the two approaching Knightmare, cutting the two frames in half. She then caught one Gloucester that was able to sneak past her with the use of the Guren's right claw. "That punk stole my title." Kallen growled as she activated the Radiation Wave Surger, causing the frame in the palm of her Guren's hand to explode in a horrific way. Twelve down, nine to go.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, and would you please move." C.C. requested as she move Magdalene in front of the Guren before swinging the Magdalene's whips so fast that it was able to deflect the depth charges that was raining down at them courtesy of three chaos mines.
"So this is the power of the Seventh Generation Knightmare." Cornelia commented as two more Chaos Mines was thrown at the silver Knightmare but every depth charge that was raining upon the two Knightmares were easily deflected by the Silver Knightmare's whips. "How in the hell does those terrorist have such advance technology?" Cornelia wondered in awe and frustration as the red Knightmare moved in front of its allies, its crimson sword blazing with its strange red beam. "MOVE," Cornelia shouted, already knowing what that sword was capable of. She made a mental note to hunt down whoever created it and force that person to build her one.
Like she had expected, the crimson Knightmare sent another crescent beam towards them, only this time, all of them were able to dodge it but it forced them to break ranks causing the silver Knightmare to take some of them down. The cannons mounted on its shoulder once again opened, releasing another set of cyclones at them. The attack was able to make contact with three Gloucesters, trapping them in a shard of ice and Cornelia knew that the pilots were dead. Whatever was generating that attack, it was able freeze the Knightmare inside-out as well as the pilot inside the cockpit. Fifteen down, six to go.
"Damn that frame." Cornelia cursed as she glared at the silver Knightmare.
Kallen, not one to be outdone, charged at the other three. The three pilots, already being mortified as they were systematically torn down by two Knightmares, blindly open fired at her but it was useless as the Guren dodged all of the bullets elegantly. It raised its sword high as it sends a ripple pattern beam at the farthest machine, destroying it at impact. It then impaled the nearest with its sword before grabbing the last remaining Gloucester with its silver claw.
"Burst," Kallen whispered as she activated the Guren's Radiation Wave Surger. Instantly, the Knightmare that the Guren was holding exploded as the red energy surged through it's the body. Eighteen down, three to go.
Cornelia and her two most loyal knights stood in awe as the two Knightmare frame turned their attention to them. They were a bit in awe and a bit afraid at the display of power those two frames showed but they were ready to go down swinging. "Okay, I'll take the red one, Guildford, your Highness; both of you two take the silver one." Dalton requested as he gripped the controls tightly.
"No," Guildford mumbled as he gazed at the red Knightmare. "I'll take the red one; you and your Highness will take the silver one. That Silver Knightmare has a lot of tricks under its belt while the Red Knightmare has only three forms of attack and it doesn't seem to be using the handgun on its left arm." Guildford explained with a calm voice.
"Your right but the pilot of that red Knightmare is more skilled compared to the pilot of the Silver Knightmare. If you and her Highness team up, then you can beat that monster." Dalton argued with conviction.
"I and the pilot of that red Knightmare have a score to settle." Guildford exclaimed causing Dalton to grumble loudly.
"And you're going to get slaughtered, killed if you're lucky." Dalton said indignantly. "Have you seen what that things sword is capable off and do you even want to imagine what that thing could do to you once that silver claw gets a hold of you?" Dalton asked like he was talking to someone stupid.
"WOULD YOU TWO SHUT UP.?" Cornelia shouted in annoyance. "You two are arguing like kids." Cornelia scolded as she gripped the control of her Gloucester tightly. "I'll take the….." She was not able to finish her statement as once again, the whip of the silver Knightmare was once again wrapped around her Gloucester and was, once again, hurled into the air effortlessly. Cornelia grumbled loudly as she was slammed to the ground again but she noticed that she was now standing a couple of yards away from the Silver Knightmare.
"YOU'RE HIGHNESS!" The two knights shouted in dread as they tried to move towards the Cornelia but they were stopped when the red Knightmare appeared in front of them. The red Knightmare suddenly thrust it's right claw towards Dalton's Gloucester causing the scarred knight to retreat a couple of steps but it was already too late as the claw extended catching the Gloucester by surprise. "DAMN IT," Dalton cursed loudly, knowing what would happen next.
Guildford cursed silently as he thrust his Gloucester's lance towards the red monster but the red Knightmare was quick to dodge the attack as he threw Dalton's frame towards his. The two crash and slid a couple of yards away from the red Knightmare.
The grunted loudly as their frames stood up. "Nice catch," Dalton commented, wondering why it didn't use the ability of its silver claw.
"Shut it, Andreas." Guildford mumbled in annoyance as the two glared at the red machine before diverting their attention at the Princess. "Dalton, I'll distract her, you go assist the princess."
That did not farewell with Dalton. "ARE YOU MENTAL? THAT THING WOULD TEAR YOU APART." Dalton exclaimed loudly.
"Don't underestimate my skills, Dalton." Guildford sneered in annoyance.
"I'm not but don't underestimate the skill of the pilot of that red monster." Dalton stated grimly. "She is as good as any of us and she has the superior frame. Even the Knights of Round will be hard pressed against her, and that is saying something." Dalton hissed at Guildford but before they could further their argument, Cornelia entered the conversation.
"You whining brats, shut up." Cornelia scolded a bit as she readied lance of her Gloucester. "I'll take the silver Knightmare; you two take that red one." Cornelia exclaimed but that did not go well with the two and they were about to complain but Cornelia cut them off. "You two, quiet. Like what we have seen, the pilot of that red Knightmare is the superior Knightmare pilot; it will take you two to shut her down. The pilot of the silver Knightmare is good but not as good as the red one, I think I could take her, regardless of the technological advantage that that thing has over me." Cornelia stated as the Silver Knightmare slowly approached her.
The grunted loudly as they aim their rifle at the red monster, Guildford forced to reach for the discarded rifle for his was destroyed earlier on. "GUILDFORD, I BLAME YOU FOR THIS." Dalton shouted as the two began their assault.
"I KNOW, I KNOW IF I LOSE HERE AND LIVE, I WON'T ASK FOR A REMATCH AGAIN." Guildford shouted as he fired with reckless abandon.
To their shock, the red Knightmare's silver claw glowed dark red as it melted the bullets that it came contact with. That was not a good sign. "Guildford, if I die, stay away from my funeral." Dalton mumbled as he mounted his Gloucester's Bazooka.
"Less talk, more firing, drama Queen." Surprisingly, that was the pilot of the red Knightmare who said that.
(Scene Change)
Suzaku was mentally preparing himself for the showdown between him and the Black Knights. He did not know what Zero was planning but he will put a stop to it. Princess Euphemia trusted him and Lelouch trusted him to protect his sister, he will not let him or Euphemia down.
"Remember Suzaku, you'll be fighting two, allegedly, Seventh Generations." Lloyd voice cut him off from his musing. "But remember, you'll be using my Lancelot, the most superior Knightmare frame in the world today. You can't lose with it." Lloyd assured with confidence.
Suzaku decided to ignore the eccentric scientist but his thought drifted towards the two Seventh Generation Frames that Zero had in his control. As far as he knew, the Lancelot was the first Seventh Generation Frame, how Zero got a hold of his own was a mystery that he did not want to ponder upon.
"By the way Suzaku, there is one thing I want to ask you." Lloyd said with an unusual soft voice.
"What is it?" Suzaku said as he focused on the task at hand.
"Above all else, you hate seeing people die, so what are you doing in the military?" Lloyd asked rather curiously.
If this question was asked before his conversation with Lelouch, his answered would probably be different for he was fighting for his beliefs, but now, he was fighting for someone else's beliefs. "The reason I joined the military, the reason I'm going to fight is to help someone find an answer as well as to prove a close friend of mine wrong." Suzaku answered without hesitation.
It was clear to Suzaku that his answer was not what Lloyd was expecting but before he could ask another question, Suzaku opened another communication link, to his surprise, Euphemia's face appeared on the screen.
"Suzaku," Euphemia greeted with a soft voice.
Suzaku cannot help himself but smile at the sight of her. "You're Highness, I…." Suzaku was cut off before he could even start his statement.
"Say my name," Euphemia requested gently and that request caught Suzaku off guard. "Please, say my name." Euphemia requested once again, this time with a begging voice.
Suzaku was taken back at that but, regardless, he conceded. "Euphemia," Suzaku said her name and he spoke it as if to a lover.
That seems to delight Euphemia as a gentle smile graced her beautiful features. "Thank you and stay safe, Suzaku." Euphemia told him as their hands met on the screen before she logged off. A reverent smile made its way on Suzaku's face as he leaned on the pilot sit.
He was unaware that two engineers heard their conversation.
"That was so sweet." Cecile almost squealed while Lloyd rolled his eyes.
"An Eleven and a Princess," Lloyd snorted with a chuckle. "What is this, Romeo and Juliet, Britannian Style?" That earned him a hard blow on the back of his head.
"And what's wrong with that?" Cecile muttered as Lloyd deal with the bump on his head.
"The ending of Romeo and Juliet is rather…..anticlimactic." Lloyd explained earning him another blow on the back of the head.
"Just do your job."
(Scene Change)
Cornelia was having an off day for a couple of reasons. First, the mission to eradicate the JLF was so easy that it was borderline boring. Second, she did not expect Zero and his Black Knights to intervene and she certainly did not expect a landslide to be dropped over her and her forces. Third, she was unaware of the enemy's technological advantage and not to mention the pilots that they were up against were as good as any members of the Knights of Round. Lastly, the pilot of the silver Knightmare was playing her. She was not attacking her; she was merely dancing around her as she attacks and that frustrated her.
Her only silver lining was that both Guildford and Dalton was having a harder time than her.
For what seems like that tenth time in the afternoon, Guildford's Gloucester was effortlessly thrown to the ground which was closely followed by Dalton's. The two crashed a couple of yards away from the monster that they were fighting and the two were groaning loudly. "God, that bitch is tough." Dalton mumbled as he forced his Gloucester up to its feet.
"Well at least I'm not the only one who will get his ass kicked by a female Eleven pilot anymore." Guildford exclaimed tactlessly as the two was forced to side step the shower of beams that were sent towards them. Guildford grabbed a rifle on the ground, his rifle already being destroyed twice now, and Dalton mounting his Gloucester's Bazooka that he had retrieve from the ground. They knew that their long ranged weapons were useless against her but they need a bit of time to think of a decent strategy.
Kallen on the other hand, will have none of that. Lelouch might have told them not to kill those three but he didn't say anything about beating them within an inch of their lives. Personally, she wanted her hands on Cornelia for she gave her emperor a major headache in his past lifetime but C.C. beat her to it, saying that she has no tact and she might end up killing her, causing Lelouch to alter his future plans and as much as she did not want to admit it, she has a point. Now, she was dealing with Cornelia's personal Knights and as good as they are, she was simply better.
The Guren side stepped the assault with the simplest of ease before deactivating Middonaitorōtasu-Type 0. Against these two, she will only need the Radiation Wave Surger and she was conserving her energy for the Lancelot. She then grabbed the Guren's fork knife and charged towards the two Gloucester.
The two Britannian Knights didn't know whether to be relieved or insulted as the red Knightmare sheathed its deadly sword but they did not ponder about it as the red Knightmare charged at them. Dalton fired his Slash Harkens towards the advancing Knightmare while Guildford provided cover; this was the best opportunity to take that monster down.
The Guren skillfully dodge the torrent of bullets as Kallen used the Guren's Fork Knife to divert the Slash Harkens away from her. With the Guren's speed, she reach the opposing Knightmares in no time at all but the two pilots have excellent reflexes as they instantly made a small distance between them and the red Knightmare. Kallen was impressed by the two but they were still out of her league. She fired the Guren's Slash Harken at the nearest Gloucester causing it to stumble to the ground before using its fork knife to shield itself from a lance thrust that came from the other Gloucester.
"Dalton, get up." Guildford grunted, finally admitting to himself that he cannot beat the red Knightmare by himself, not yet at least. The second that he contacted Dalton had given the red Knightmare enough time to grabbed hold of his frame with its silver claw before it proceeded to slam him down to ground, quite harshly as Guildford's shook inside the cockpit.
Kallen chuckled a bit as he dodge another Lance thrust from the second Gloucester. "Come on now boys, is that the best you can do." Kallen mumbled as she once again charged at them, this time with the intent of finishing them off. The Guren's claw emitted a dark crimson energy as it block another lance thrust but this time, the radiation that the Guren's claw was emitting caused the steel lance to warp, including the arm of the Gloucester, as she predicted, the pilot ejected its arm before the arm exploded or before the radiation spread through entire Knightmare. The arm exploded and smoke surrounded the Guren.
Guildford grunted again as his main close-range weapon was now destroyed but he was not given any time to ponder at that thought as something penetrated the shoulder of his lone arm. "Damn," Guildford mumbled as he saw the fork knife of the red machine penetrated the shoulder armor of his Gloucester.
"You won't need this anymore." Kallen exclaimed as she twisted the Guren's Fork Knife before removing it by ripping it off with the Fork knife. She used the Guren's Silver claw to grab the frame before slamming it violently to the ground before using the claw once again to block another lance thrust from the other Gloucester. "Well isn't this familiar." Kallen mumbled as she disarmed the Gloucester. She then used the Lance to impale its former wielder on the torso before swinging the lance in a full arc, cleaving the Knightmare into two. Kallen did the same to the other Knightmare before dropping the two flat on their Knightmare's back. "Well that was fun." Kallen commented with a light chuckle.
Guildford and Dalton were unnerved and not because they were utterly defeated, no, they were unnerved because they were still alive. They were half expecting to be roasted by that red Knightmare's Silver Claw. Thought came when two large Slash Harkens of that mechanical phoenix suddenly came towards them and to their astonishment, the Slash Harkens suddenly like an umbrella. The Slash Harkens then grabbed hold of them before lifting them in the air. Suddenly, they noticed that their energy fillers were slowly being drained until both their machines were completely powerless.
"Looks like your boy toys are out of commission." The pilot of the silver Knightmare commented through a public link.
Cornelia did not dare divert her attention but secretly, she was worried for her knights. She had witness what that red Knightmare was capable off and she praying that the two were able to eject before the claw of that thing could finish the job. But she did not dare think of them at the moment as her frustration slowly grows. The pilot of the Knightmare that she was dueling was playing with her, not even taking her seriously. Cornelia had been attacking furiously non-stop but the silver Knightmare was dodging every attack she threw at it and what's worst, that thing was dancing around her Gloucester and it even recalled its weapon. The audacity of that thing was irritating to say the least.
"DAMN IT, TAKE ME SERIOUSLY." Cornelia shouted in anger as she blindly thrust her Lance repeatedly which was gracefully dodge by the silver Knightmare.
C.C. chuckled inside of her cockpit as she enjoyed watching Cornelia lose her cool. Truth be told, C.C. was reminded of her countless battles with Joan of Arc during the Hundred Years' War. "Cornelia even has her short temper." C.C. commented with a chuckled as she remembered Joan's outburst every time she out maneuvers her during their many duel in the war. "And if I remember correctly, Joan tends to make a lot of mistakes when angry so…" C.C.'s voiced trailed off as Cornelia moved towards her Gloucester's rifle which instantly caused C.C. to smile. "I missed that bitch but she getting torched to dust was one of my happiest memories that I dare not forget." C.C. mumbled as she destroyed the rifle with a well aim air cannon.
Cornelia grunted as she moved away from her enemy but it seems the pilot of the Silver Knightmare was now taking her seriously as the Knightmare threw a well place punch towards her. Cornelia had experienced, countless times, being hit by a Knightmare's limbs during a Knightmare duel but the blow her Gloucester received from the Silver Knightmare was so powerful that it felt like her Gloucester was hit by a missile. The head of her Gloucester was easily shattered before her Gloucester was sent flying a couple of yards by the force of the blow. Cornelia had to brace herself as her Gloucester crash to the ground with a loud thud. "Okay, that hurt." Cornelia grumbled as the sensors of her Knightmare dropped below fifty percent.
"That was nice." C.C. commented with a small smile. Lelouch had told her that because of the advance hydraulics of the Magdalene as well as the four pistons that were installed on the joints of the Knightmare, the blows that the Magdalene could deliver was ten times more powerful than an ordinary Knightmare and it also increase the jumping ability as well as the speed of the Magdalene once the pistons were used. "Note to self, strap Lelouch on a bed after this, the Emperor deserves a reward." C.C. mumbled under her breath as the Magdalene rocketed towards Cornelia's Gloucester.
Cornelia, though her frame was half blind, did not need all her sensors as she instantly dodge the attack which was a good break for her as she witnessed the ground being turned to dust as the fist of the Silver Knightmare made contact with it. "Goddamn it, I am going to personally hunt down whoever built that Knightmare." Cornelia exclaimed loudly as she began to dodge the punches and kicks that were raining down upon her.
Cornelia was not aware of it but C.C. was playing her. The Magdalene possesses such a significant technological advantage against an ordinary Gloucester and not to mention that C.C. was at least equal of Cornelia's skill coupled with her years, and I mean hundreds of years of experiencethat C.C. could predict Cornelia's movements with ease. Lelouch instructed her not to kill her, but he did not say anything about breaking her. With a flicker of her controls, the Magdalene threw a straight jab, hitting the shoulder of the Gloucester causing it to be dislocated, forcing Cornelia to release the useless limb.
C.C. chuckle a bit as she proceeded with her assault. Cornelia did not have any room for errors as the attack became so elaborated that it took her all her skills just to dodge all of those attacks but again, C.C. was merely playing her. C.C. had guessed that Cornelia was liked her old, annoying rival so she decided to play her like she played Joan the Arc in their last fight. She attacked Cornelia with a pattern forcing her to weave left and right, waiting for the opportunity to tear her apart.
Cornelia was sweating furiously as she gazed at her energy filler, her frame was now running at forty percent and was steadily draining. The continuous movement of her Gloucester was not helping her conserve energy but she knew that if she stopped moving, she's as good as dead. Cornelia was so frantic that she did not saw the sudden movements of the Silver Knightmares right leg before her frame was kick up in the air.
C.C. smiled a bit as she used one of the Magdalene's whips to cut all the limbs of Cornelia's Gloucester and before the cockpit of the now severe Gloucester could reach the ground, the Kuro hōō's Slash Harken grabbed hold of her cockpit before draining what's left of the machine of all its energy.
"That was an interesting thirty minutes." Zero commented dryly. "Now your majesty, let's enjoy the battle between my greatest champion against your last champion." The last remaining Slash Harken of the Kuro hōō then struck the side of the hill on where they were fighting causing a white Knightmare to suddenly burst out the wall.
Cornelia's as well as her two Knights' gasped at the sight of the Lancelot. They cannot believe that an Eleven will come to their rescue. "Who in the hell gave that nut permission to launch his toy?" Dalton mumbled in shame.
"I could guess," Guildford answered in relief. This may be a major hit in his pride but he could live with it, just as long as his princess lives.
"Suzaku Kururugi and the first Seventh Generation Knightmare, the Lancelot, I see Princess Euphemia sent you, such a wise move coming from her." Zero greeted with a small, taunting chuckle as the Lancelot raised the VARIS rifle at the Kuro hōō. Instantly though, the Guren stepped in front of the Kuro hōō, the Middonaitorōtasu-Type 0 already at drawn and ready.
"Zero, let go of the Viceroy and face me." Suzaku exclaimed as he fired a couple of shot towards the Kuro hōō. The shells didn't go far as the Magdalene block them all with the use of its whip. The Guren saw that as the signal to attack as it propelled itself towards the Lancelot.
Suzaku seeing that grabbed the MSV swords of the Lancelot and began his duel with the red Knightmare. To his utter shock, the MSV swords buckled a bit when it made contact the strange sword of the red Knightmare. "What in the?" Suzaku mumbled as he avoided the Silver claw of the red Knightmare. In a matter of seconds, the knight and the queen were now trapped in a dance of blades, with one wrong move will result to death.
Cornelia and her two Knights were at awe at the battle. Kururugi and the pilot of the red Knightmare were showing moves that they had yet seen. Cornelia on the other hand, as much as she was impressed by the duel that she was witnessing, was nervous. She and her two knights were in the clutches of the enemy and he could kill them with a push of a button.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Zero's voiced cut snapped her attention back to the mask vigilante. "My Queen truly is the greatest knight in Japan and she is against the greatest traitor of this country, what a fitting rivalry." Zero commented but Cornelia could only sneer.
"Would you just kill me and be done with it." Cornelia snarled and her anger increase when she heard Zero laugh.
"That is a very appealing thought but if I do that, I will be breaching my contract with my master and the person who gave me the Magdalene, the machine that defeated you, and the Kuro hōō. Mind you, they are the same person." Zero informed her with a mirth voice. That merely irritated Cornelia.
"So you have a master, so does that mean that you're a puppet after all, figures." Cornelia taunted before a frown cross her face. "But why does your master want me alive?" Cornelia inquired curiously.
"Because he is your long, lost half-brother." Zero exclaimed softly and before Cornelia could say anything else, Zero told her a name. "Lelouch vi Britannia, the oldest son of Marianne the Flash and the former seventeenth in line to the throne, was exiled in Japan in the year 2010, thought to be dead together with his sister, Nunnally vi Britannia." That froze Cornelia to the bone.
It took Cornelia a couple of second before she was able to speak again, her voice was filled with fury. "You dare dirty the name of my dead brother, you scumbag." Cornelia jerked a bit when her cockpit was suddenly opened and found herself face to face with Zero. Zero then threw something at her, which she caught before she was forced back to her cockpit. She glanced at the picture and almost had a heart attack. In her hand, was a picture of the vi Britannia siblings, they were older but she still could recognize them, Lelouch's violet eyes was a dead giveaway. "Impossible, but how." Cornelia mumbled in disbelief as Zero enlightens her.
"As to how they lived, even he had not told me." Zero said with a blunt. "Pity really, if his sister had perished, he would probably be in my shoes right now." Zero informed her and Cornelia took note that Zero's voiced change a bit.
"He loves her sister so much that he was willing to forget his hatred for his country but I, as his apprentice will enact his revenge for him. Like he had envisioned and would have done if Princess Nunnally is absent from his life, I will destroy the world and create it anew, for him, for my master." Zero stated passionately.
Cornelia glared at the mechanical Phoenix after hearing that. "You think my brother would approve of your ways. He hates violence." Cornelia stated, remembering how peace loving her brother was.
"Yes he does but as he said to me once, you cannot change the world without dirtying your hands." Zero countered with an edge in his tone of voice. "But you have a point; my own sister hates my way, that's why she is living with Lelouch right now." That caught Cornelia off guard.
"WHAT?" Zero chuckled after hearing her scream.
"My sister and your brother have quite an interesting relationship but that subject is not open in our conversation." Zero told her before going back to the topic. "Lelouch may not join me in our revolution but he gave me the instrument to do so. He does not possess the talent of his mother when it comes to Knightmare piloting so he diverted his attention to designing Knightmares and he is quite good at it. I think you saw the overwhelming ability of the Magdalene as well as the unique abilities of the Kuro hōō." Zero explained as Cornelia's eyes widen in realization.
"My brother gave you those." Cornelia muttered, a bit unsure with her conclusion.
"Yes, the red one was a prize but silver and black was given to me by him with a few guidelines." Zero stated with a thoughtful tone. "The number one being I cannot harm you and Euphemia and I cannot kill Suzaku Kururugi." That shocked Cornelia. "He hates the royal family with a burning passion but he cares for the li Britannian siblings, he loves both of you. So our agreement is this, he will provide me with two machines and he will upgrade them every year till my revolution is over and in return, I will not lay a hand on Euphemia, I will not harm you too much, and I will not kill Kururugi, everybody wins." With that said he dropped the three remaining bodies of the Gloucester to the ground and concentrated on the battle of his Queen.
Suzaku, for lack of better words, was getting dominated. True, he was giving the red monster a good fight but still, he had yet to land a hit on the red Knightmare and he was almost caught by that Silver claw, something that both Dalton and Guildford told him to be cautious of because, if that arm got a hold of him, his as good as dead. "Damn it," Suzaku grunted as he was caught by a back hand from its silver claw. Whoever was the pilot of that thing, was good as hell, Suzaku thought as he tried to cleave its arm off but to no avail as its sword was able to catch one of his Lancelot's MSV sword.
Kallen was enjoying herself, in the last timeline, she and Suzaku were evenly match but now, she has one advantage; she has more experience and she was more familiar with her frame. She dodges another sword swipe from the Lancelot before sending it stumbling to the ground with a well place kick on its torso. Kallen then raised Middonaitorōtasu-Type 0 and delivered a downward slash.
Suzaku was able to regain his composure just in time to activate the Blaze Luminous causing the beam sword to bounce of the surface of the shield. Suzaku was about to throw a slash of his own when he noticed that the beam blade change from color red to color violet before the sword once again descended down towards him for the second time. Suzaku raised the Lancelot's shield to block the blow while preparing a blow of his own, to his shock, the violet blade slash through the Lancelot's arm like the Blaze Luminous was not even there. Suzaku cursed as he fired two of the Slash Harkens mounted on the Lancelot's hip at the red Knightmare, to create a bit of distance between the two.
Kallen grunted a bit as she did not saw that coming but was still able to block the attack coming from the Lancelot, catching the MSV sword with the use of the Radiation Wave Surger Claw. She activated the Radiation claw causing the sword, like last time, to bubble before exploding and like last time, the Lancelot already had its VARIS rifle pointed at her but this time, she was prepared as she already has the Middonaitorōtasu-Type 0 swung upward. Though both blows did not come as the whips of the Magdalene kept them in place, though the VARIS rifle was already destroyed internally courtesy of the electric current that surged through the weapon.
"Witch, what's the meaning of this?" Kallen growled in annoyance through a public communication link, luckily for her, her voice was modulated.
C.C. didn't even answer as Zero's voice rang through the airwaves. "My beloved Queen, I apologize for cutting your duel with Kururugi short but we have to leave. There is no point continuing this pointless battle." Zero exclaimed much to Kallen's annoyance. "And my dear, Kururugi already lost this battle, he cannot fight you properly with only one arm, it will be as good as suicide." Zero stated as the Lancelot suddenly turns its attention to the Black Phoenix. Suzaku was offended from that statement.
Kallen was not please by that order but yielded nevertheless. "Of course, my lord." Kallen mumbled as the whip wrapped around the Guren's left arm was removed.
"Kururugi, the next time we meet, I guarantee you, you will not be so lucky." Zero exclaimed with conviction. "Your highness, I suggest you order a retreat before we enter the battle. I decimating your forces was not part of the contract between me and him and I will annihilate every enemy Knightmare that is caught in the Kuro hōō's sensor." Zero threatened as the Kuro hōō took off, grabbing the Guren by its talons while the Magdalene jumped on its back. The three machines then flew off towards North.
Cornelia instantly made her move, regardless if she was still shaken by the news that she had received. "Euphemia, sound the retreat. We lost and there is no need for unnecessary losses." Cornelia said through the private link before gazing at the picture of her long-lost siblings. "Lelouch, do you really hate our family that much that you created a monster to carry on your vengeance?" Cornelia mumbled under her breath as she glanced at the picture of the vi Britannian siblings that was given to her by Zero.

"So we only suffered a few losses, that's good." Zero said as he listened to the report of Ohgi. "How many Knightmares did we lose?" Zero asked as Ohgi looked at the folder in his hands.
"Two Burais and two Sutherlands, Tamaki also lost his shield during the fight." Ohgi reported with a sighed. "But on the bright side, no pilots were killed."
"More good news, excellent." Zero exclaimed with a calm voice. "Tell them to rest and depart tomorrow, my sister will be in charge for I have business to attend to and Lelouch will need to talk to our resources to replace the Knightmares that we had lost. Assist my sister in keeping them inline tomorrow, Ohgi and whatever you do, don't get in her bad side. You are still to useful to be killed by my sister." Zero ordered bluntly.
"Of course," Ohgi answered, chuckling uneasily at the thought of the emotionless sister of Zero. He then logged off, leaving Zero to his thought.
Lelouch then removed his mask before calling another number. "Sayoko, are you there?"
"Yes my lord," Sayoko answered through the other line.
"Give the phone to Nunnally, I know she's worried about me." Lelouch ordered as he sat on a sofa, loosening his collar a bit.
"She's not the only one, my lord." Sayoko said as Lelouch heard some random rambling on the other line before the voice of her sister echoed in the phone.
"Brother, where are you?" Nunnally's voice was clearly in distress.
Lelouch chuckled a bit. "I'm okay Nunnally, I'm about to go back to the cabin after I settle my business here." Lelouch said with a comforting voice. "Don't worry Nunnally, the Landslide didn't hurt me, unfortunately, I was caught in the evacuation." Lelouch explained with an assuring voice.
"That's good." Nunnally breathed out in relief. Lelouch could swear that he was hearing news broadcast regarding the Landslide that he made but decided to ignore it.
"I'll be back by six, and don't worry sis, I'll be safe." Lelouch assured her with a soft voice.
"Come back to me safely." Nunnally whispered with a sullen voice.
"Of course and tell everyone I'm alright." And with that said, he hung up before glancing at his bed in his private quarters. "You could let her moan now." Lelouch said with a drawled voice.
As he said those words, C.C. removed her lips from Kallen's and instantly, the beautiful red hair let out a loud moan as the witch began to caress one of her breast. Lelouch's two lovers were lying in his bed, both of them completely naked. C.C. was on top of Kallen, her left hand massaging one of Kallen's breasts while her right hand was rubbing Kallen's wet snatch. Kallen was now moaning wildly with the attention that C.C. was giving her and the fact that Lelouch was watching them was also a major turn on. Kallen was still a bit upset that she was the one being dominated but C.C. said that she was still inexperience in the art of pleasure, that and C.C. knows how to pin a woman down and turn them into a moaning mess to prevent them from ever fighting back, and she was good at it.
"Aren't you going to join us?" C.C. asked passively as she began licking Kallen's left breast while she plunged her middle finger in her, causing her to moan even wildly.
Lelouch shook his head as a slightly perverted smile graced his face. "I'll be gone in the next thirty minutes so what about you two give me a show before I leave." Lelouch all but ordered as he eyed the two rather lustfully.
C.C. didn't even look at him after hearing that as she whispered something to Kallen. "As you wish your majesty." C.C. said as the two beautiful women shared a very deep kiss.
In the next thirty minutes, the two gave Lelouch a show that made every X-rated film that Rivalz forced him to watch with him to look like church. That and their moans were truly a delight to hear. And he knew Kallen's back could bend that way and C.C.'s flexibility was quite impressive.
(Scene Change)
"My god, this is a problem." Jeremiah mumbled under his breath as he gazed at the prisoner that he was able to acquire, the said prisoner was glaring at him. His battle with the Four Holy Swords was very intense, he lost three good men to that fight but he also caught one member of the Holy Sword. The problem is; the person that he caught was not his target.
"I caught the wrong sword." Jeremiah mumbled as the lone female member of the Four Holy Sword glared at him.
