"Wow." Everyone said at the exact same time as Emmett finished telling them what happened. I was sitting soundly on my mate's lap as he held my waist and told the story of our adventure. My dad was sat to the side of me with his elbows rested on his knees, his hands clamped together, his face was scrunched together as he took in the information Emmett offered. Esme and Carlisle sat on the love seat, listening intently. Jasper was hugging Alice to him while focusing on what Emmett was saying as well, and Eleazar and Carmen were in a similar stance close by us. Tanya, Edward, Kate and Irina were all standing, listening closely. I had my head buried in my Em's neck, my arms wrapped around his shoulders. I was so afraid of everyone hating me, being disgusted in me. I had killed someone. I had watched him burn alive without even a finch. No one said anything, and I couldn't take it anymore. I switched my mind reading on.
Wow, this chick keeps getting cooler and cooler. I knew I liked her
for a reason. - Kate
She's got balls, I never thought little human Bella would be the one
to rid our world of that fucking idiot. Honestly, I would have made
the little bitch suffer. -Irina
Well koodoes to Bella.-Tanya.
I didn't even see that coming.-Alice
Oh my sweet baby must be eating herself up. True I wish no one had
been killed, but she did what she needed to do, she shouldn't be
guilty for that. -Esme
I can't say my old friend didn't call it upon himself. Though I would be greatly confused and surprised if the two remaining brothers didn't do something very soon in efforts to be on Bella's good side. I wond- -Carlisle
I'd be a fool not to have seen this coming. Caius never did know how
to keep quiet. - Eleazar
That sweet child has a strength in her that I have never seen before.
I truly do believe she was meant to lead our kind. -Carmen
Edward wasn't really thinking, just reading all the thoughts in the room.
I don't...She. My daughter is the leader of the entire vampire race.
She burned...alive...she used to...she used to be my little girl,
now she's out taking out the bad guys, -Charlie
I was about to address Charlies thoughts, when my name came flashing
through my head.
Bella.
My head immediately snapped to Emmett. He looked me in the eye.
So you are listening...
I nodded.
Bell, baby. No one's upset with you. We all know you did what was
necessary. You can't protect anyone if you are known to be, soft. Cauis was well beyond his lifetime anyway. We know you did what needed to be done baby.
His hold on me tightened, and my love for him flared. Instantly My
empathy was on pushing him as much love as I could conjure. Next my
telepathy flared up.
I love you so much baby.
I told him through the mind link. It seemed instantaneous that my arms were thrown around his neck and his arms pressed tight against my waist, pulling me closer while I was submerged in a mind blowing kiss that only Emmett could treat me with. I half groaned and pulled him to
me harder. His soft answering moan sent tingles down my back, and just as his tongue traced my bottom lip, we felt someone plop onto the other side of the couch, clearing their
throat. Reluctantly, I turned my head to the right, and was more than slightly annoyed at the sight of Kate Denali sat soundly with a smirk on her face, her legs and arms crossed with a giant smirk on her face.
"Having fun there buddies?" She teased. I was about to respond when Emmett cut me off.
"Yes, we are thank you." He replied. Pulling me back to him. I giggled against his lips.
"Father in law still seated right next to you." My dad practically growled. We quickly pulled apart and looked over at him as his face was red and he wore an angry expression looking Emmett dead in the
eyes. Emmett ducked his head whispering a quick sorry. I giggled and my dad turned his stare on me narrowing his eyes. It was halfhearted and I knew it. I ducked my head and rolled off Emmett's lap and onto the couch. I snuggled into his side, hugging him to me. He thawed out immediately, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me closer. I sighed in contentment. I felt his warm, hot to me now, lips brush my head and I knew he had kissed my hair. "I'm proud of you, you know." He told me. I scrunched my eyebrows together, I had expected him to feel the complete opposite. Ashamed even. Of me.
"Why?" I asked in a small voice I only used around my dad. He made me feel like I was five again, daddy's little girl, all over again.
"Bells, I always told you when you were younger that you could be the president if you wanted to, figuratively of course. I meant that you could be anything you wanted to be, but as you got older, I didn't look at it in a figurative way. I began to actually think that one day you could very well lead America. You have always been a leader, always ready to stand up for what you believe in while you always kept an open mind. A lot of people took your silence as a personality defect and assumed you were shy, yet in reality you were a listener. You must learn how to listen to lead, and thats what you did. You listened to what others thought, and when you spoke your words were honorable and meaningful. You've always been a level headed person who stood for what was right and now your in a different world where you have to be all these things and more. Bella what you did today was what you needed to do. We all understand that you can't be lenient in a role like the one you have and I am and always will be, proud of you. You're my baby girl " He half whispered.
I knew I would be crying if I could as I held onto him for what seemed like dear life.
"Thank you daddy." I whisper back to him. He responded with another soft kiss to my head. I would have sat there all day in my dads arms, but being this close to him after not hunting for weeks, I started to feel the burn in my throat. I knew I wouldn't hurt him but it was uncomfortable. I looked over at Emmett and smiled at him and was rewarded with a beautiful smile of his own.
"You want to go on a hunting trip with me?" I asked sweetly. He smiled while nodding.
"'Course honey, I'm sure it takes a lot of energy putting royal sadistic vampires in their places." He replied with a smirk. I smiled as everyone let out a small chuckle of approval and turned back to my dad. I
gave him a bashful look.
"I'm sorry dad, but..."
"It's okay bells, I know, I smell all delicious and junk..." He teased. I softly hit his shoulder and snorted.
"Yeah right! I smelled way better than you as a human!" I joked standing up with Emmett, my hand in his.
"I'll see you later dad. And the rest of you, don't miss us too much." I said while speeding through the back door, Emmett in tow.
XxX
Emmett and I had gone father than we had originally planned, but it was worth it in the end with all the bears we got. We were currently laying in each others arms in a small meadow we stumbled upon. I
looked up at my beautiful mate's face, watching as his skin seemed to become almost translucent with tiny beams of sunlight radiating off of the surface of his skin.
"I love you Em." I whispered to him. His golden eyes softened as they turned to me. He tightened his hold on me, gently leaning in to press a sweet and soft kiss to my lips. I smiled, pulling him over to me,
until he was practically on top of me. Emmett knew not to hold back with me. I loved the way his body felt pressed to mine and hated when he tried to keep his weight off me, I wasn't weak anymore, I could
barely register his weight anymore. I sighed in contentment as our lips moved together. He pulled away slightly, his golden eyes which looked more like liquid gold than anything, peering down at me.
Seemingly looking right into my soul, as if he could see every secret I had to hide, that were locked away in the secretes if my mind. And in reality, he could. I could never keep anything away from him, nor would I want to.
"I love you too baby, I can't wait until your finally my wife." He whispered to me, his voice full of unknown emotion, as his head lowered to kiss the corner of my mouth. Then an idea pooped into my
head and I knew if we were to act on it, we would have to move fast, because if Emmett agreed, there was no way Alice wouldn't see it. I looked up at him, a tiny gasp making it's way through my lips.
"Em, lets elope." I whispered almost inaudibility. His head shot up to look at mine, his eyes wide with surprise and...hope.
"Elope?" He asked shocked. I looked down and nodded.
"I mean, with everything going on in our 'always eventful' life, we keep having to push the wedding back, I'm tired of waiting, the wedding isn't what I want, you are what I want. Yeah, Alice will be upset but a big outstandingly outrageous wedding, was never my style, I wouldn't care if I married you in sweats, as long as it was you. Em, I just don't want to wait another day, let alone a week to marry you. We..." I explained but was cut off by Emmett firmly pressing his lips to mine. He slowly pulled back, starring deep into my eyes.
"I love you so much, and if you say you want to elope, we are going to do it. I want you to be my wife just as much, if not more than you. We have to go now. Alice has by no doubt saw it. Where do you want to go?" He beamed. I grinned back, he agreed! Then his question registered and I felt a smirk take place on my face.
"Vegas!" I smirked. Emmett hopped up and lifted me from the ground, spinning me around.
"Whoa hoo! We're goin' na Vegas baby!" He hollered loudly. I couldn't help but loose myself to laughter at his craziness. That's when I heard it, foot steps, human foot steps.
"Humans." I told Emmett. He sighed while rolling his eyes.
"They're close. We were kinda distracted." I said lowly. He nodded, while I threw up my third shield, my 'sense shield'. It shielded us from all the senses: smell, sight, hearing ect. Emmett pulled me into him, kissing my head softly as the humans broke through the tree coverage. I gasped when I saw who it was Angela and her mom Tracy Webber.
"See Ange, I told you, you are being paranoid, no ones here." Tracy said. Angela was looking around suspiciously.
"I could have sworn I heard a shout." She told her.
"Oh well, on the bright side, you found the prefect spot for our picnic!" Tracy explained, setting a picnic basket on the ground, pulling a big blanket out and spreading it on the grass. Angela
sighed and plopped down on the cover with Tracy sat next to her. As Tracy was setting out their food and began to talk small talk, I turned to Emmett. He was looking down at me, waiting. Even though I knew Angela and Tracy were shielded from hearing us, I still didn't want to talk so i talked through a mind link I put up. Sorry, it kind if took me by surprise to see them. Angela was my only
true human friend, I just realized I missed her is all. I told him through the link, looking down a bit. Em slowly lifted my chin and smiled softly at me. It's okay baby, I understand. I'm not complaining, though I am anxious to make you my wife. He smirked suddenly. I smiled back at him and held him tighter as I ported us to the back of a Vegas Chapel. Emmett grinned and actually bounced as he eagerly pulled on my hand, until I had an idea.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait Em! I have something I need to do first!" I
stopped him, pulling his arm back. Emmett stopped and turned around, raising an eyebrow at me in question.
"I need to go buy a few things, alone. Meet me here in... Thirty minutes?" I asked softly. Emmett look split, his eyes drifting towards the Vegas chapel then back to my face. He sighed and pulled me
into his chest. I wrapped my arms around his waist and looked up at him expectantly. He sighed again and pressed his lips to my forehead.
"Not a minute over thirty. Okay?" He told me sternly. I smiled at him and nodded.
"Be careful Bella, I don't really want to let you go alone, but I know you can take care of yourself, so just be safe baby." He told me and my heart melted a little.
"Of course, I'll be fine sweetie." I reassured him. He sighed and leaned down to softly press his lips to mine, then pulled away. I took a few steps back, smiling softly at him, before it
turned into a full blown smirk as I yelled out something to him.
"Oh and Emmett, I think you should get some different clothes. It looks like you were making out with your fiancé in the forest." I smirked, at which he let out a full blown belly laugh.
"Sure thing sweet cheeks!" He yelled at my retreating figure, and his word choice confirmed just where his eyes were. I chuckled while flipping my long hair over my shoulder and purposefully swayed my hips a bit more. I was rewarded by a soft growl coming from behind me as I turned the corner.
XxX
I smiled at myself, looking in the full length mirror. I was dressed, exactly how I thought the best wedding attire for me looked like. My hair was pulled up into a messy bun, with loose strings of hair framing my heart shaped face. I wore real diamond stud earrings with a silver bracelet engraved with the name Emmett in an elegant scrawl. I wore a long, all white transparent like cardigan opened to a white camisole. My skinny jeans were simple and all white, and to top it all off, all white
converses. Perfect.
"Thank you, the shoes are perfect." I told the sales guy, who had yet to stop starring at me.
"Y-your welcome, you're beautiful." He stuttered and then blushed, shaking his head. "I -I mean... The shoes, um..they a they look great." He fumbled. I smiled, holding back a laugh.
"Thank you, I think." I smiled turning to leave. I couldn't wait to marry the man of my dreams. I loved Emmett so much, and to finally be able to say he's mine, really mine, in every way possible, was amazing. I was so lost in thought, that I didn't even notice I was here. I pulled my phone from my back pocket and saw a text from Emmett.
Hey baby, I still dont knw what yur up to bt I made plans for five
o'clock. I'm not sure how long you'll be, watevr yur doing, bt I guess

I gasped, looking at the time, it was five to five, Em was going to
think Im standing him up! I bordered human speed as I ran to the respective door, a big black seven on top. I sighed. This was it. My last few minutes as Isabella Swan, I was about to be joined completely to my other half, forever together. I couldn't wait anymore, those had to open right now. I threw them open and as if it was my first time ever seeing him, I gasped as I saw my amazing fiance, soon to be husband. He now wore a black leather jacket over a black t-shirt that instantly made my mouth water, that damn t-shirt grabbed and hugged everyone of those luscious pecks on his chest, the very abs that I loved to run my tongue over, the sa- I shook my head, attempting to clear it of it it's untimely thoughts. When my eyes made them back to my handsome husband to be's eyes, his face now shown a large, knowing, smirk. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.
"And that, Mr. Johnson, is my beautiful wife to be." He smirked, never taking his eyes off me. The only proof that he was talking to the man in his late fourty's with the dark red suit on below the alter was when he turned his head towards Emmett, after his name was called. I was so caught up in Emmett, that I didn't even notice the man gawking at me.
"What a lucky man you are, Mr. McCarthy." He said quietly, never taking his eyes off me as well. I straightened up, pushing my shoulders back, a grin making it's way on my face. I was never more ready to be united with the man I loved, than I was right now.
