Kate and Rick were enjoying their leisurely stroll through the mall. They had about half an hour before they had to meet the gang and this was their only moment alone.

Kate pulled Rick into a dress shop where she'd seen an amazing purple dress she wanted. He sat at the bench with another guy he knew from somewhere.

"Oh, hey, uh I'm sorry if this sounds weird, but I know you from somewhere."

"Yeah, uhm, you remember the two jerks that took advantage of your girl at that party?" Rick put two and two together and realized that he was one of them.

"I'm the guys friend. Well ex friend. I wasn't to keen on the way they behaved. Sorry by the way."

"It's cool bro, all in the past." Rick looks out into the sea of girls trying on dresses. "Which ones yours?" Rick says sounding like a father at a playground.

"The blond over there in the big poofy turquoise one. Maddie, we've been dating for a year."

"Nice." Rick says. The girl, Maddie, calls Tom over and he nods his goodbye at Rick.

"Babe? What do you think of this one?"

Kate exits in a deep navy dress that hugs her in all the right ways. Rick can barely control his speech as she spins for him, her converse oddly complementing the dress.

"Wow..." he utters and she giggles at his awe shocked expression. She catches the price tag and hisses.

"Little out of my price range." She says sheepishly.

"$500? I'll pay for it." He shrugs as though it's nothing.

"Rick I can't let you do that."

"No come on it's nothing. Go get dressed and I'll pay. We have to meet the guys soon." She gives him a loving kiss then steps into the dressing room. After she hands him the dress, he goes to the counter and pays like it's nothing because she deserves this and more and he'd work the rest of his life if it meant giving her what she deserved.

"Let's go slow pokes!" Lanie yelled. They were so supposed to be catching a movie. Some rom com that the girls had been excited about.

"We're coming!" Kate said grabbing Rick's hand and sprinting towards the theater. Ryan had already gotten their tickets and snacks were on Javi. Rick had asked them to cover considering his recent purchase at the dress store.

Once they had all their snacks and drinks, they entered the movie and all sat together awaiting their movie: Valentine's Day.

2 hours later

"That sucked!" Javi exclaimed as they exited the theater.

"Javi-"

"No, that movie was bad. Come on back me up Kevin." All eyes turned to Kevin, including Jenny's puppy eyes and he shrugged sheepishly and stared at his shoes.

"What about you Rick? You enjoy it?"

"Are you kidding me? I was slightly tempted to ask for my money back," Jenny frowned and Lanie and Kate glared at him "BUT my girl enjoyed it, so if she's happy I'm happy." He said and punctuated his sentence with a kiss to Kate's temple.

"Uh, yeah you know, what he said." Javi stuttered. The group all laughed at the look Lanie threw him.

They walked discussing the project they were assigned in science. They had to construct a model of either a DNA sample or the human muscular system that moves. Jenny and Lanie were paired together and so were Kevin and Javi. Rick and Kate weren't paired together, but thanks to $20 and a few extra credit sheets, they were able to switch partners. After walking everyone else home, Rick walked Kate home and was extremely reluctant to leave her.

"Hon seriously? Your mom is gonna worry about you."

"Eh, she'll be fine." He said and began suckling her neck.

"Ri-Rick. I have to go inside." She breathed.

"He backed her into her door. "Mm, do you?"

"Uh..." she stood there trying to come up with reasons she should go, but the farther down his hands crept, the more the reasons slipped her mind.

"Rick." She breathed and he realized that what he was doing might have a bit more of an effect on her so he stepped away.

"Sorry." He said. She chuckled.

"Don't apologize, I really," she breathed "really want to, but it's not the time."

"No, I know. Yeah, I'm gonna go." He kisses her sweetly. "I love you."

"Love you too."

He smiles and walks away and she enters her house and leans against the door.

Soon she says touching the tingles he left on her neck really soon.

So, this it.

Don't worry peoples, this is a filler chapter.

Also, today's a snow day, so I'll be updating ALL stories.
