Well, these last few episodes sure have been insane, huh? Anyways, I've gotten a few reviews requesting something to do with the angels and the hospital from the first episode of season nine, so here goes. Spoilers if you haven't seen it.
Imagine yourself laying in a hospital bed, the steady beeping of the heart monitor and the murmur of people outside the only sounds you can hear. You lay there, breathing steadily, waiting for the doctor to return with your test results. You know you probably won't live much longer, your body has been steadily growing weaker over the past month. You just want to know how much time you have left to say goodbye to your loved ones.
You can hear your doctor outside, talking to someone, probably a nurse or another doctor. You try to straighten up, scooting back to brace yourself against the head-board, wanting to look your doctor in the eyes as he tells you the news. It probably would have been smarter to use the remote for the bed, but you need to prove to yourself that you can do this.
The ground starts shaking, the blinds swaying with the movement. Screams are coming from outside, and a deep male voice is yelling for everyone to get out. More screams and the sound of glass shattering follows. A fire alarm is going off and you wish you could just get out of the bed and run, but you know that your legs will give out if you try.
A voice fills your mind. It's very soothing, though it comes through in waves, crackling in and out. The voice is calming, and you find yourself relaxing. It explains that it is an angel, that it needs a vessel and that you have been chosen. You want to say 'yes', but you can't help but wonder why an angel would choose someone like you, broken and weak, to carry them. The angel, Anauel they tell you, assures you that being a vessel of a divine being will heal you. The prospect of both helping an angel and being healed appeals to you.
Something slams against the wall near your door. Voices are right outside and you catch snippets of their conversation.
"Let me... easy... where Castiel... brother's gonna... dead." It's a female woman's voice. You think you recognize her, the grief counsellor. Kim, you think her name is.
"... luck getting... warding." A gruff man spits out. He is probably the one that hit the wall. In the back of your mind Anauel seems to be getting impatient. You try to assure them that you simply need time to think.
"... strip off all his skin... gonna watch." The woman is speaking again and you know you missed a few things. The next words are clear as day, though they seemed a bit choked.
"Bite me." There's the sound of someone hitting the ground, then a wet sounding laugh.
"... hit like an angel?" It's harder for you to hear the words, you think they've moved so that they are no longer right in front of your door. Another thump as something hits the ground. The word angel rings in your ears.
"... wait, wait, wait... tell you... Cas is... one question." Anauel is screaming at you now. He, she, it is desperate to know your answer. You squeeze your eyes shut and hold your hands over your ears, trying to block out the shrill noise the angel is making.
Your room is flooded by blindingly white light and the space under the door brightens with it as well. When the light subsides, you can feel the absence of the angel. You fall back into the bed. The door creaks open and a bloodied man pokes his head in. You assume this is the man who was outside the door.
"Are you alright?" He asks. You slowly nod at him.
"Fine, except for the angel that was trying to use me as a vessel." You respond. He gaps at you in surprise. "Thank you for whatever you did. And I hope Castiel and your brother are okay." You smile at him before collapsing against the sheets, the excitement of the events wearing you out.
Well, what do you think? Did I do good? Anyways, next prompt must be Doctor Who. Can't wait to see what you guys want from me next!
