Chapter 10

Frankie's eyes opened slowly, taking time to adjust to the light entering the room, with last night's horrors still flooding her memories. She then realised she'd left her room unattended, and she knew the thieving scum would steal something. Frankie moved out of Blake's arms and headed back into her room to make sure everything was secure.

She looked around the room, and saw a shadowy figure in the corner. She squinted to see if she was just seeing things. It was the same person she saw in her dream last night. She turned her head to try and ignore it. Frankie then turned to look in the corner again, and he was gone. Sighing in relief, Frankie turned back, to see the person right in her face. She stopped any screams from escaping her mouth, but her heart was beating a million miles per hour.

"I see you've made your choice. ~" He said eerily.

"What?" Frankie asked, in shock.

"Connor will be easier to kill…" He began.

"No!" She snapped. "I need more time."

"Okay, you have a week, starting from now."

"And what happens if I refuse anything."

"I'll just kill you all." He said, sounding too happy about the situation.

"You can't do that!" Frankie said, jumping by the knock at her door.

"Who were you talking to?" Blake asked.

Frankie went to answer and she turned to see the figure had completely disappeared. "I wasn't talking to anyone."

This confused Blake, but he didn't bother to answer. For all he knew she could've bee sleepwalking.

"Well, where we going today then?" Blake asked.

"How about just wandering around town?" Frankie suggested.

"Perfect, I need to exchange some money too, y'know for when I go to Italy."

"Yep, I'm insanely jealous that you're visiting family in Texas for 2 months. When do you go again?" Frankie teased, poking fun at how unprepared he was.

"Tomorrow." He replied with a smile plastered across his face. Blake always talked about his extended family in Texas, saying his cousins, uncles and aunts were always so welcoming, and it did explain why Blake had a more American name. "It's work experience mainly though, my uncle has a ranch and breeds horses, so you never know, I might get a job and never come back."

"I've never been to Texas, it always seems so beautiful." Frankie sighed, avoiding thoughts of what Blake had just said.

"I'll bring back a postcard for you." Blake joked. "Besides, didn't you and your parents have business in Dubai?"

"Yeah, and Mexico, South America, and quite a bit in Europe generally but I didn't travel as much as they did." Frankie replied, she then stopped and wondered how the hell Blake knew anything about her parents, she hadn't told anyone about it.

"Wow, and yet Texas is mesmerising for you?"

"I am what I am." Frankie shrugged.

"Well I'm going to get food, get dressed then go."

"Good luck with food, if they have any I doubt they'd be sharing any with us. I'm just eating in town."

Frankie just let Bake get on with it; she wasn't in the mood for persuasion. For clothing, Frankie picked out a flowery short jump suit with some red and white striped wedge sandals and large sunglasses rested on her head and a light blue denim jacket. She didn't bother straightening her hair, so it was left to wave naturally.

She went behind her poster and pulled out about £120 and put it into her purse and into her handbag.

Frankie walked downstairs to find that Blake was still upstairs. Typical.

"You look really pretty Frankie." She heard someone say. She whipped round to see Faith smiling at her.

"Thanks. I try." Frankie said.

"Out for a date with Blake are you?" Faith asked.

Frankie just blushed. "Well, he goes to Texas tomorrow, so why not?"

Faith was about to speak, when Carmen, Tee and Mackenzie came downstairs.

"Why are you here?" Carmen asked snootily.

"Well I live here don't I?" Frankie asked rather condescendingly, turning around when she felt someone put their hand on her shoulder.

"Ready to go?" Blake asked.

"Absolutely." Frankie said, smirking at Carmen.

(Skipping a few hours)

The pair had been in town for a matter of hours now, Blake had gotten his money exchanged and a few bits and pieces for going away, and Frankie had bought herself some new clothes, but she'd noticed Blake had seemed a little bit distracted all day, like his mind was elsewhere.

"Are you okay, you seem a bit distracted?" Frankie asked.

"I'm fine." Blake replied emotionless.

Back in the care home, life was as chaotic as ever, with Tyler and Elektra having a prank war, Rick blasting his music as loud as possible, Gus demanding dinner, and Carmen, Tee and Mackenzie all planning outfits for a party they were going to that night. Johnny and Acid were snooping around the office.

"Hey Johnny, come look at this." Acid smirked holding a file in her hand. Johnny just looked at her confusedly. "Frankie's file, dumb arse." Acid whispered. "It just fell open, okay."

Johnny just nodded, as the pair flicked through her file, filled with Frankie's information on her past life, her parents, everything."

After reading the contents of the file, the pair turned to look at each other.

"No way." Johnny exclaimed.

"Frankie's a drug dealer."

Just then, the doorbell rang, which sent the house silent as Faith rushed to the door to see a very pretty girl standing by the door in a pink summer dress with a large hat that had sunglasses resting on them and wedge sandals. She had waist length golden wavy hair and had the build of a runway model.

"Hi, how can I help you?" Faith asked, getting into character.

"Yes, I'm here to see Blake, Blake Watson"

"And who might you be?" Faith asked.

The girl raised her eyebrows, surprised Blake hadn't told everyone he could. "I'm his girlfriend."

AN: O.M.G! But yeah, I re-read Blake's character description and it did say he was a bit of a ladies man, and I'm adding that aspect into his character.

Also apologies Connor hasn't been a main priority these past few chapters, I just wanted Frankie to have some interaction with a few more characters.
