Chapter 11
Blake had taken Frankie to a place she wasn't exactly familiar with in town, but Blake knew it like the back of his hand, showing her all the vintage shops, charity shops and a little music shop that Frankie felt herself hypnotised by.
Typical of the British weather, it had taken a turn for the worse, with small drops of rain hitting the pavement. Frankie was about to complain about the weather when Blake got a phone call.
"Blake, your girlfriend is here." Faith said on the other end of the phone. Bake's eyes widened.
"Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can." Blake said hanging up. He then turned round to walk off.
"Hey wait up, Blake…" Frankie pleaded. "I don't where I'm going!"
"Sorry, I just need to go." Blake said walking off, leaving Frankie standing in the increasingly heavy rain with her bags. Thank goodness she had gotten an all-day ticket for the busses; she could jump on one and go home. Frankie shivered; she really didn't think that the weather could turn so quickly. People around her rushed to find shelter; she just wanted to be somewhere familiar. Frankie hated being lost, the thought terrified her.
She began to walk up a street, though it was extremely slippery in her heels, so she just took them off and carried them. She was soaked in anyways, so she really didn't care. She continued to just walk straight; just hoping she'd be able to get somewhere dry soon.
Blake reached the dumping ground and walked in to see his bubbly, blonde girlfriend running over to him.
"Blake! I haven't seen you in so long!" The girl said excitedly. "Where have you been?"
"Oh, I was just changing my money; I'm going to Texas tomorrow." Blake said, receiving a death glare from Faith.
"Tomorrow‽" The girl gasped sounding shocked. "That means we have to spend the rest of today together since it'll be ages before I see you."
"Calm down Lizzie, I'm here now, aren't I?" Blake replied smirking.
Faith just couldn't bear to watch anymore. She just walked out, Elektra following, confused by Faith's current shift in mood.
"Is someone jealous?" Elektra joked.
"No, he just makes me sick." Faith spat. "God knows where he's left Frankie, because he seemed pretty quick to ditch her for Lizzie."
"She should be fine, she's not stupid…"
"… yeah but I don't think she's coping as well as what she says she is. She knows something we don't, I can just tell." Faith interrupted.
"Are you psychic now?" Elektra asked. "If she wanted us to know she'd tell us."
"Maybe she can't. It's not like we've been the nicest to her." Faith tried to explain.
The two continued to discuss, while the rest of the kids sat round the TV, and Blake headed out for the second time, only this time with Lizzie.
"Come on Johnny, we need to tell them about Frankie, they'd freak out." Acid said hyperactively.
"I don't know, it doesn't feel right…"
"… After all she's done to you, Johnny you're going soft." Acid taunted.
Johnny just shook his head, he didn't know if it was the right thing, after seeing Blake and his girlfriend, maybe Frankie didn't need to be kicked anymore whilst she was down.
"I'm just going to get a drink." Johnny said avoiding any conflict with his girlfriend.
Walking out of the lounge and into the kitchen, Johnny grabbed some water and heard the phone ring, he assumed Faith would get it, with her being in charge, but she didn't, it continued to ring. Johnny debated on whether to pick it up, though he decided it was a bad idea.
He just stood in the office doorway, waiting to hear the message.
"Hi it's Janine from the hospital. I'm ringing to let you know Connor will be allowed visitors starting tomorrow. The times are 3 – 8. He isn't awake yet, but we're hoping in the next week or so he'll come round."
Johnny quickly grabbed a pen and noted it down and put it on a sticky note, as a huge wave of guilt hit him like a freight train. Maybe that's why Frankie threw water at him when he came back with his arm in a sling, which ended up being a sprain. He couldn't tell anyone, if this is what Frankie was keeping a secret, she was keeping it for a reason, and telling the others probably wouldn't help anyone.
Johnny quickly joined the rest of the group.
"You took your time, could you not find the tap?" Acid joked. Johnny just smiled and joked along. He had to keep it cool.
(A few hours later)
Frankie knew walking home was her only option. The rain had been reduced to a light hazy drizzle for a few hours now, but still miserable. Her bus ticket was completely destroyed, as was probably everything she'd bought today and Frankie had to admit, she was hopelessly lost, and she was sure she was just walking in circles, since she'd walked past the same shop three times now.
"For fucks sake." She mumbled in frustration under her breath, pulling out her phone, Blake had some explaining to do.
Surprisingly, he picked up. "Hello?"
"Blake, where the fuck are you, you left me in the rain, and I'm fucking lost." Frankie vented her frustrations. She was not in the mood for it. She could here Blake talking to someone else while she was talking, and she could here the rustling of the phone being handed over.
"Hello." A very feminine voice said. "I'm Blake's girlfriend, Lizzie."
'Wait a minute… girlfriend?'
Frankie just sighed to try to stop herself from flipping out there and then, but she listened to what the girl had to say. "Yeah…"
"Can you not call him right now, we're on a date, and he doesn't really care about sluts like you. So back off and leave him alone."
"Fine by me." Frankie growled then hung up. Unable to contain her anger, Frankie punched a nearby wall, hearing an awful crack afterwards.
"Fuck." She cussed under her breath and winced at the sudden pain in her hand.
The clouds were growing increasingly again, as the wind and rain increased in strength. Frankie just slumped against a wall in a back alley. Exhausted both physically and emotionally, Frankie felt it difficult to keep her eyes open and felt herself drifting off to sleep on the cold cobblestone floor.
"Frankie?"
"Frankie, is that you?"
"Wake up, babe."
Frankie heard a muffled familiar voice saying. Frankie jumped realising she was still lying on the floor. She looked up to see Vinnie standing with a few friends.
"Vinnie?"
Vinnie held out a hand and pulled her to her feet and handed Frankie her bags, which surprisingly didn't get stolen.
"What's someone like you doing somewhere like this?" Vinnie asked.
"I got lost. My friend left me on my own; I had no clue where I was going, so I just walked." Frankie sighed, looking around, realising it was dark. "What time is it?"
"It's about 2:30AM." Vine said, giving her a sympathetic look. "How about I drive you home, I can leave these two with business for tonight, and I don't want anyone else finding you, you might not be so lucky."
Frankie nodded hugging her friend. "Thank you, so much." She said fighting back the tears.
She waited for Vinnie to finish off with his people with the drugs etc. then he showed her to his car. It was a very fashionable white Audi.
"Wow, Vinnie, it's amazing."
"It's my baby." Vinnie said patting the steering wheel.
"Are you sure you're okay with me coming in here in such a state?"
"Yeah, fine, she's getting a full clean out tomorrow in anyways, you're not doing any harm."
Frankie just sat in the car and felt safe, knowing to enjoy her company while it lasted, because she was prepared for mayhem when she returned.
AN: Sorry it's filler-ish :/ I had to add it in, but yay! Connor's getting better, and it'll get a bit more interesting next chapter, I promise.
Thanks so much to Guest and CharlieSMats12 for the reviews, and anyone who read the last chapter, it's you guys who make me want to continue to write so thanks a lot ^_^
