~ Chapter Six ~

Harry had arrived at Malfoy's house almost an hour before they finally had some sort of results. Harry had managed to successfully calm Malfoy down from his panic attack.

Apparently, Blaise had left before Harry arrived, but Draco had found it clever to open the box that was sent to him without anyone near him, and only letting Blaise know after the incident.

After Harry had found him on the floor, Draco proceeded to explain as calmly as possible what had happened, resulting in him ending up with blankets around him and a mug of tea between his hands.

"Feeling better now?" Harry asked softly as he glanced at the blond curiously.

Draco gave a faint nod. "I-It said… It said I tore up a family. I- I don't know what that means." He whispered. "And I don't understand why my son has to 'pay'." He added.

Harry hummed. "Do you know from where Scorpius was talking to his friends? I need to find the address of the house, if you don't know it already."

Draco stood up silently, not saying a word and bringing back a piece of paper with trembling hands.

The paper read 'Lark Avenue, number 34.' He nodded at Draco thankfully. "You need to come with me." Harry said as an afterthought.

Draco looked at him, not saying a word.

"Come on, Malfoy! Your son's in danger!" Harry snapped at him.

Draco blinked for a few seconds and then snapped out of it. "Shut up, you senseless prick!"

Harry smirked. "Good old Malfoy's back, I see."

Draco simply glared at him.

The two males walked down a dim lighted street, ending up outside the place where the party had been held at. Harry was the first to knock on the door, waiting for a response. A set of lights started opening until a constant footstep sound made it certain that someone was coming for the door.
"May I help you, gentlemen?" A woman asked kindly as the door opened. She seemed to be around their own age, and she looked tired and messy.

"Are you Sam's mother?" Draco croaked desperately.

The woman nodded. "Yes, and who are you?" she asked, starting to get worried.

"I'm Scorpius's father, Drake Malfoy." The blond introduced himself. "My son ran away from home to come to your son's party yesterday, and he's been missing since. Could we see your son?" he asked hopefully.

"But, my son didn't have any parties." The woman laughed.

"Oh trust me ma'am, your son had a party last night and his son was invited. And then someone kidnapped him from this house. We need to see your son." Harry cut in.

The woman turned around furiously and looked upwards, staring at the set of stairs that lead to the second floor. "Samuel Brian Evans, come downstairs at this instant!" she bellowed at the top of her lungs.

A small boy appeared after a while, coming down the stairs cautiously and looking curiously. "Yes, mother?" he said in a small voice.

"Did you have a party last night when I was out?" she asked.

Sam gulped and stared at the two men, instantly recognizing Scorpius's father. "N-"

"Be careful of what you say or you'll be grounded for longer if you dare lie to me!" she screamed.

Sam lowered his head and bit his lip. "It was just a few friends over…" he whispered.

Harry and Draco stood silent at the door, watching the scene unravel before them. Harry caught the movement of the woman and spoke up. "You see, Sam, Scorpius has gone missing, and we need to know when you last saw him." He said.

"W-We were having soda… And then he ran into the bathroom… And I didn't see him after that. You can ask the others that were here, Brett and Margaret stayed over." He mumbled.

Harry nodded. "Get hold of all of your friends. And don't worry, this isn't an inquiry." He said gently.

The woman was fuming and pulled the boy upstairs with her, going to find the other two people as Sam called over the rest of them.

Draco sighed. "That's why I don't trust Scorpius with these kids…" he told Harry.

"Just relax, don't worry." Harry advised.

Sam was seated between Amy and Brett, shaking heavily.

"So, did any of you see what happened after Scorpius came out of the bathroom? He's been gone for almost a full day, we need to know if he's in danger." Harry said gently to all the kids.

A little girl called Amy took a deep breath and looked at Harry. "See, there was… this woman, who came here. She brought over a kid and then I didn't see her leaving." She said in a small voice and looked at the floor.
"How did that woman look like?" Harry asked gently.

Amy thought for a while. "I-It was dark…" she muttered.

"Sweetie, there's no pressuring you. Anything you can remember from her? Maybe her voice? Or her face?" Harry insisted.

Amy gulped. "S-Sir, I-I don't know, I only… I only remember her hair was ginger. Bright ginger." She said.

Harry thought for a while. "Could it be…?" he breathed to himself and he almost fell from his chair. "Malfoy, can I talk to you for a minute?" he told the blond. "Thank you a lot, kids, you've been really helpful in a matter of importance." He said nobly and waved goodbye at the woman who had let them in, dragging Draco away from the living room.

"Ginny." Harry breathed as they were near the door.

"Why would Weaselette do anything to my son?!" Draco said. "You're being idiotic, she didn't want anything to do with me." He snapped.

"Draco! Listen to me, your father was the reason she almost got killed in the Chamber of Secrets in her first year at Hogwarts. Ron was on the run with me and could've been killed and she was worrying her head over him during the war. Voldemort's followers are the reason she lost Fred. Everyone in the Weasly family was torn apart after his death. 'You tore apart a family'. That's her!" Harry reasoned.

"Just because you have a wild imagination, I am not going to believe some 11 year old who claims that a ginger woman carried my son out of here and took him god knows where, and threatens him with whatever motives. This is plain ridiculous!" Draco snapped and pulled the male out of there.

"Draco Lucius Malfoy, will you ever will yourself to listen to me for once?!" Harry bellowed and grabbed his arms, looking at him in the eyes. "I have a suspicion at where your son may be at. If he's not there, you can rub it in my face that I was wrong. If he is there, then we can save him and end this now." He suggested.

Draco sighed and looked away. "If he's not there, I swear to Merlin, Potter..." he growled.

"Do you trust me?" Harry breathed, still holding him by the arm.

"No, but… Scorpius…" Draco whispered and looked at Harry.

"I know, so what do you say?" Harry said gently.

"We've nothing to lose." Draco finally agreed and let Harry take him.

"Brilliant choice, Malfoy." Harry said.

Scorpius's gaze focused once the blindfold from his eyes was removed.

"Hello blondie. Missed me?" the voice sniggered from somewhere behind him.

"Show yourself, you coward!" Scorpius snapped and fought with his bonds on the chair.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Don't fight it." The voice drawled and the sound of something spilling on the floor was heard.

The scent of gasoline filed the room and Scorpius started coughing, trying to cover up his nose. "What do you think you're doing?" he cried out.
"Making your father run for you. By now I would figure that one of the little brats from last night would have figured that I was the only ginger adult in that place. It's such a shame though, Scorpy, getting into so much trouble, worrying your father, and all of that over a silly party. In which they got you roofied." The voice cackled.

"I… I don't know what I've done wrong!" Scorpius shouted, tears spilling onto his cheeks as he tried to find the source of the taunting voice. "I don't want to die…" he croaked and closed his eyes tightly.

"I told you already, you've done nothing wrong. And I'm capable of enough magic to keep you just alive, but terrified to death just enough to make you scream and beg for your father to find you. And then, once he's here, he'll pay for what he did to both my families." The ginger hissed.

"B-Both your families?" Scorpius questioned.

"If you were so stupid to not tell by now…" the voice said and the clicking of heels reached the front of the room as the woman stood in front of Scorpius. "… I'm Ginny Potter, nee Weasly." She said.

Scorpius looked up and saw the hatred written all over the woman's face. Her cheeks were hollow, and her eyes had dark circles under them. She was holding a lighter, and her wand, but she didn't seem proper enough to cast magic, or to keep herself to her feet, for that matter.
Ginny glared at the small blond before her. "Your father's father cursed me during my first year at Hogwarts. You see, he gave me this cursed diary that was bound to make me slay roosters and feed students to his master's pet snake down in the Chamber of Secrets. His master then drowned almost all the life out of me, before the hero boy, Harry Potter, came to my rescue and saved me from dying. Five years later, my brother Ron says he's going to leave with Harry Potter, and that he'll be missing for a long time. And then, during the war, your grandfather's master made me lose my other brother, Fred. So that's about my one family, kid." She said in a deep voice, glaring with hate the young boy.

"A-And your other family…?" Scorpius whispered, unable to comprehend what he had just heard.

"My other family is the one I made with Harry Potter. You see, everything was going fine when we had our two sons. But after our daughter, Harry became… distant. And some years after our daughter's birth, he "came out" and told me he was a bloody homosexual all along after I found him sleeping with another man on my couch." Ginny said mockingly and made a disgusted sound.

Scorpius looked at her. "You've been through a lot, I see…" he noted in a small voice. He was trying to earn time for himself, and his father. For now, he was doing just fine.

"Of course, that doesn't answer your question. See, I knew that your father wasn't just a rival of Harry's. I knew it from the moment I caught him fucking that blond slut that he had a thing for none other than your father, Draco Malfoy." Ginny explained.

Everything fell into place at that moment. Scorpius understood exactly why the woman was mad at his father. He'd caused so much to her, and he'd been the reason for her divorce. Scorpius felt terrible, and sorry for her. But mostly terrible because he was also gay, and he couldn't quite hide it.

"You're just like your father." Ginny muttered after a while, having abandoned the lighter but holding tight on her wand.

"Please…. Don't kill me. You can avenge another way… Years in Azkaban won't make you happier." Scorpius tried reasoning her.

"You're just the bait, you stupid kid. I never was after you. I was after your father all along. Once he steps foot in here, he's dead. And I'll leave this place as a winner." She said smugly.

"You'll still end up in jail." Scorpius mumbled.

"And you'll still end up dead! Along with your sick father who turned my husband into a sick fuck." She spat angrily and flicked the lighter.

Scorpius looked away, not saying a word. He held back a sob as he kept quiet for the rest of the time, wishing she wouldn't just drop it and light the whole place on fire.

"You're bloody certain?" Draco hissed in Harry's ear as they kept hidden behind some bushes, watching an old cottage in the middle of nowhere.

"You still don't trust me…" Harry muttered.

"Glad we got that covered, Potter." Draco said.

"This is the cottage that Ginny and I bought during our honey moon. But, we both grew busy, and thus we never really used it after two or three times that we visited it. She said it was dangerous for the kids, and then our jobs didn't allow it." Harry explained.

Draco sighed. "This is not useful info to me, Potter." He groaned.

"Anyway, this is the place. If Scorpius isn't in there, then we keep searching. That's what you agreed to." Harry said.

"And what if he's in there? How do we deal with her?" Draco muttered.

"Oh so now you believe me when I said that it was Ginny." Harry glared.

"Yes, I have enough reasons to believe that that minx would use my son as bait to get revenge on both of us. She knew you'd help me out." The blond reminded.

"Right…"

"Ready when you are, Potter."

Harry nodded. "I'm ready." He breathed and got up.
