So, we're back again with the third installment of our TMNT Dragon series. We're sorry for the long wait but I've had to rewrite this so many times because I kept changing my mind with it. Ravyne is just as annoyed with me as I'm sure the rest of you are. I am very thankful that you've all stuck around if you have. You're loyalty and, most importantly, your patience are appreciated.

So without further delay... TMNT: Call of the Dragon.

Review please.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Call of the Dragon

Part 3

Prologue

Ryu had never believed in horror stories, not since she was younger and watched the life she'd always known go up in flames, but that didn't stop the older students from trying to scare her and all the other kids her age every chance they got.

Tonight wasn't any different.

She fiddled with the ends of her brown pigtails lying on her shoulders as a small group of others younger student sat on the reed floor of the training hall while two older students sat on the top steps over them weaving their tall tales. They had extinguished most of the candles lighting the room so that only they were glowing in an eerie light and forcing the little kids to hunker close to them to avoid sitting in the dark alone.

"Who here doesn't believe in ghosts?" one older student grinned.

Ryu and three others raised their tiny arms high into the air proudly.

"Seems like they don't know about the door," the other older student laughed darkly to set the mood.

Their arms wavered and lowered slowly as the older kids' voices seemed to make the candles flicker spookily.

"Some say that when people die, some of them don't move on like they're supposed to."

"That's right. They stay behind to torment the souls of the living from behind a mysterious door that they bang and scratch on night and day."

Whispers traveled through the younger generation on the floor. Ryu glanced around warily from her spot at the back of the group, unsure of what to say or how to react. She had never heard of a door before. What door?

"And sometimes, if they're able to break through the door for a split second, they even drag the living into the depths of hell!" the older student roared loudly, causing a few of the kids to shriek and gasp, leaning back in fright.

Ryu shrunk back against the darkness framing the outskirts of the training hall, her skin going cold as she listened.

The two older students shared a look of triumph before carrying on with their horror story, "Those left behind had to suffer the chaos of their own crazy thoughts as the ghosts behind the door scratched and clawed the sanity right out of them…"
