The Challenge
"Takumi, you met them all?" Takumi nodded. Kuroko stared at his brother and smiled. "You're so cute."
"Well that came out of nowhere," Takumi replied as he sipped on his shake. "Where's Kagami?"
"On his… Takumi look," Kuroko pointed outside of the window. Takumi took a peek.
It was a beautiful day you could say, but the weather called for rain later. The two siblings got out of the restaurant. Takumi had a small smirk on his lips and Kuroko remained indifferent.
"Taku/ Takumichii/ Taku-chin/ Takumi/ Kuroko Takumi," the siblings wanted to suppress the small giggle when all the boys said Takumi's name at the same time. In front of them, the infamous Generation of miracles stood.
"Nice to see you," Takumi greeted. Kuroko bowed politely.
"Nice seeing you all again," Kuroko greeted, there was a dead silence.
"I heard a rumor, Takumi," the captain began. Everyone wore a serious expression. "That you are Tetsuya's true light," Kuroko was about to reply but Takumi stopped him.
"It's not a rumor, Akashi, it's reality." Takumi replied to the red-head's comment.
"I hate being talked back to," Akashi said.
"I hate sore losers," Takumi smirked.
"Loser, I've never lost in my life," Akashi laughed slightly, venom dripping from each word.
"But you're about to," Takumi smiled. The Miracles stood still, each and every one of them wanted to know the answer. Who is Kuroko's true light, a spot only held by Aomine and Kagami and partly the rest of the miracles to be suddenly taken by his kid brother?
"I challenge you, Kuroko Takumi," Akashi finally declared, his eyes were cold and menacing. Takumi glared at the red-head and slowly looked at the rest. They all looked ready to fight for something that was so sacred to them all. Kuroko Tetsuya.
"Takumi, don't," Kuroko grabbed his brother's arm, Takumi smiled.
"Tetsu-nii…" Takumi's voice was slightly silent; he turned his body to look at his brother. "If you can't be with me because we're siblings… I rather leave you with someone I can trust," Takumi's lips slightly grazed Kuroko's. "And the only person that showed that potential is Kagami,"
To say that the Generation of Miracles was mad would be an understatement. They were furious. Akashi's scissors shined in the sun, throwing them straight at the midnight-blue haired boy who caught them graciously.
"A little mad are we?" Takumi chuckled.
"Takumi, I will make you kiss my feet after your defeat," Akashi glared. "It'll be a one on one game, in the court. Same rules, two games today and two games tomorrow and the last day will decide the winner." Akashi confirmed.
"Akashichii, what about Kagamichii?" Kise asked, a little curious, thinking the split eyebrowed boy would also participate.
"He beat Takumi," everything stopped as they stared at Kuroko. "Kagami-kun, is the only one that has beaten Takumi," Kuroko repeated.
"How?" Aomine asked, his face incredulous.
"With dedication and hard-work," everyone turned around as Kagami entered the scene, his eyes were wild and his look scary, he looked at the miracles before laughing a little. "Not even I know how I managed," he confessed. Midorima pushed up his glasses, Aomine scratched the back of his neck, Kise was left in awe, Murasakibara's eyes widened and Akashi remained silent.
"If one of you guy's wins against Takumi, you'll go against Kagami-kun, if you win against Kagami-kun, I'll transfer to your school and remain as a loyal shadow to you and you only," everyone's eyes widened.
"Tetsu-nii! You can't bet yourself!" Takumi almost yelled.
"Kuroko! I won't let that happen!" Kagami yelled.
"But if you al lose, you will accept my relationship with Kagami-kun and not try to intervene, you will also not try to kill my dear Takumi or Kagami-kun," Kuroko deadpanned staring straight at Akashi.
"I accept," Akashi agreed.
"I accept," the rest said. The real thing was about to start for real. Kuroko sighed. He trusted Takumi and Kagami. He trusted them.
"Since we're in break, I'm staying in Tokyo for a week," Akashi began.
"So am I~" Murasakibara also said since those two lived the furthest away from everyone. The other three could come rather easily to the court.
"Tomorrow," Akashi's eyes landed on Takumi's. "You'll play Ryouta first, then Shintarou," Takumi and the other two nodded. "Then it will be Daiki and Atsushi," they all nodded again. "And if it is that you get through them, your last opponent will be me," Takumi and Akashi seemed to be glaring at each other, the air was heavy.
"Tomorrow at two p.m.," Takumi smirked, turning around, stuffing his right hand in his pocket, flinging his left on Kuroko's shoulder, Kuroko's left hand held by Kagami's right. Kuroko hugged Takumi's waist with his right. The miracles stared at the leaving trio and decided to disband as well.
On Akashi's mind, a merciless defeat kept playing over and over. After all Tetsuya was his.
On Murasakibara's mind he thought of the best way to crush Takumi, he really like Takumi but Kuro-chin was going to be with him.
Aomine was actually a little nervous, practicing just as hard as he used to when he was younger because he wanted Tetsu back on his side.
Midorima tended to not show much about his emotions but he liked the idea of Kuroko joining a good school to continue his basketball and along his side, he just needed to beat everyone.
Kise was nervous and excited, he loved playing with Takumichii but he really wanted his beloved Kurokocchi to play with him, to be his shadow.
The two siblings stayed at Kagami's. Kagami and Takumi making something to eat, Kuroko was playing with Nigou and Taka in the living room.
"Do you trust yourself?" Kagami asked as he chopped the vegetable to the salad.
"I do, I will not let Tetsuya be unhappy," Takumi smiled as he finished breading the pork-chops. They kept cooking.
"I love Kuroko, but I feel like I somehow love you too," Kagami admitted irritated. Takumi laughed a little.
"Well, I do know that Akashi thought we Kuroko siblings were fucking irresistible," he smirked. "I also love Tetsu-nii… and I love you for loving him… it's a little confusing." Takumi confessed. Kuroko stood in the entrance of the kitchen, listening to their odd conversation. Oh if they knew just how much he loved them. The two cooks finished everything, Kuroko set the table and they ate, they were rather loud but that was a family.
Later that night, Kuroko would share the bed with Kagami and Takumi was left on the futon. When Kuroko came back from the bathroom, Kagami and Takumi were asleep. He knelt down to Takumi, who was sprawled out in the floor.
"Make sure to show 'em my true light, Takumi," Kuroko whispered, kissing his forehead and lying down in bed, Kagami's arm wrapped around him and slowly, Kuroko's eyes fluttered close for sleep.
