Let's Finish this Quick
The day sure passes quickly and soon the teenagers were leaving their homes to get to the court. Aomine was really pumped up and somehow had managed to make up a great plan to 'beat' Takumi, it was almost fool-proof, maybe, if Takumi resisted him, it would be useless.
Murasakibara was rather… like usual, he indeed have a sweet spot for Kuroko but like Akashi, he didn't want to play against Takumi another time, but if Kuro-chin attended Yosen, he could always have someone to cuddle and eat sweets with since Muro-chin prohibits them sometimes and he didn't like that.
Kise and Midorima went to see how the game would go on, Kagami and Kuroko were a must be there as well as Akashi, who always made a great appearance, haha. Takumi had gone up ahead, the court was still empty and he wanted to warm up alone. He recalled the game with Kise and felt bad for making the guy look so down level. The game with Midorima had been really fun, even if Midorima said something like 'a little' later, what a tsundere that guy was.
The sun was hot even in the morning, he removed his shirt again, he kind of liked playing shirtless, he let his hand touch his back, he knew where the wing tattoo was, he had gotten that in Mexico with a really good friend, his dad had actually really liked the tattoo and approved to it. His friend always said that Takumi was like a phoenix, a bird of fire, with great strength and loyalty to his loved ones. There was sweat decorating his body, his hair still felt wet from his morning shower. He jumped to score his hand on the ball, his stance a little lop-sided but it went in, his hand hit the rim, the vibration of the metal rim against his hand felt good, he dropped down. The ball was rolling, a hand picked it up.
"Nice dunk," Aomine said, Takumi gave a slight smirk. "But I could've done better," Aomine let the ball spin in his index finger, fiving Takumi his famous side smirk which made girls go crazy. Takumi stole the ball and dribbled a bit before throwing it behind him, making the shot.
"Sure you could, Ahomine," Takumi snickered.
"Oi, Taku, it's AOMINE-SAMA, unless you prefer Daiki-sama?" Aomine offered, clearly flirting, Takumi snorted, soon they were face to face, Takumi's breath was minty, so was Aomine's.
"How 'bout you calling me Takumi-sama? You do know who would dominate in bed, right?" Takumi whispered huskily. Aomine grabbed the back of Takumi's head, his hair was soft to the touch.
"Don't tell me you would," Aomine whispered back, he felt sweat forming on his nape as their foreheads touched, this guy was some true piece of work. He felt Takumi's fingers on his chin, they felt rough against his skin.
"Want me to show you?" Takumi's eyes screamed danger zone as Aomine stared into them, he could feel the blood rush to his face and he would've kissed the younger teen if it wasn't because Akashi arrived and called for their attention, when Aomine looked at Akashi, he could feel a killer intent coming from him as the two blue-headed teenagers let go of each other.
"I see you're both here early," Akashi said as he took a sit, his high stance and royal air looked as respectable as ever as he… glared? at the two individuals. Aomine gulped and Takumi just sent him one of his many charming smiles. Luckily, God didn't want Aomine to die to Akashi's glare and the rest of the group then arrived. Kagami hand in hand with Kuroko, Kise alone and Midorima alone, Murasakibara came with Himuro, snack-free, which was… really, really rare. The usual childish Murasakibara was looking kind of pissed, in fact his whole attitude seemed sour. [Haha get it? He likes sweets but his attitude is sour? Haha, no? Okay….] Midorima grabbed Takumi and gave him a pen, it looked expensive, saying it was shi lucky item of the day and that he was on 3rd place today but it wasn't as bad as Aomine who was in 7th place.
Finally Akashi called attention, Aomine and Takumi took a step forward. Akashi seemed to be glaring at Aomine, who gulped. Akashi grabbed the basketball and walked to the middle of the court.
"Game!" was all he said as he threw the ball in the air and the two shirtless bodies jumped to get the ball, Aomine grabbed it, speeding past Takumi, to Aomine, scoring the ball fast was the best option, the game would move quick and he would beat Takumi, tit was fool-proofed! Kind of… since Takumi just had to appear and try to steal the ball away from him. Aomine turned around, having played Takumi every afternoon, he knew a bit of his playing style, which was pretty random, a mix of different people could be seeing in it. With the turn he shot, he saw the ball rounding the rim and go in, Aomine smirked. One for him, Takumi none, he turned to see the younger teen who stared at the rim, a shadow covered his eyes, so he wasn't able to see them, he turned to look at him. Aomine flushed, he checked with Takumi but he was unsteady.
Takumi wasn't glaring at him, he seemed to be staring into his soul or something, the ball was now Takumi's, he saw the small glint in Takumi's eyes, it wasn't Zone, which Kise hadn't been able to recruit to since the game had ended so fast. Aomine though, wasn't planning on using Zone unless it was super necessary. The game was moving too quickly now, the ball was going in way too fast and the energy going down, at least for Aomine who usually played the weak and didn't have the need to use his full skill on other players, the score was 7 to 8. Takumi always with the upper hand.
Kuroko stared at the two teens in the court; his sky blue eyes seemed tranquil and almost happy at seeing the competitive grin across Aomine's face as he played his brother, who was using his child-like attitude to play Aomine off, often tricking him into a completely different shot. Kagami also stared with great attention at the game, Aomine had not gone into Zone but he had prevented multiple shots from being done, basketball was indeed a height game. Now that he thought about it, Takumi was somehow like Tatsuya, they had talent but they didn't seem to be able to use Zone. He could be wrong about Takumi though.
Aomine prevented the ball from going in one more time, just barely, he doesn't remember how many times he had lost to Takumi but it was a lot and it bothered him, but that didn't stop his blood from pumping. To think Tetsu's brother would bring his joy of basketball back was crazy (Bakagami doesn't count, they meet on different terms). The game had to be over soon, with Takumi left to score 2 points and Aomine 3, Aomine finally called the beast out, Takumi laughed to himself as he saw the special shine in Aomine's eyes.
"I've been waiting," he breathed, it was a hit of light itself as they battled under the sun's rays, their bodies didn't crash against each other but rather moved in perfect pace, Takumi knocked the ball out of Aomine's hand, he knew running to the rim would be too dangerous, he shot from where he stood, letting the ball take its course, he knew Aomine would run to stop it but Takumi was ahead of this, going to block the tan body, not letting him near the court, the ball hit in. Defense went down for the smallest second as they checked once again, the ball was Takumi's, he was ready to end the game, this time taking the run.
Aomine watched from not so far behind as Takumi ran to the net once again, Aomine reacted quickly, there seemed to be a time stop as Aomine reached Takumi, Takumi turned to see Aomine right to his side, and then BAM! The ball was out of his hand, he dribble down with his left and jumped, making a dramatic dunk. Aomine had hit eight, with Takumi slightly disoriented, they checked and he took another shot, Takumi missing the change to stop it, Kuroko's eyes widened, it was nine to nine. Aomine was panting heavily, Takumi scoffed. They checked and Aomine took the back, Takumi let him take it all the way to the rim where he would dunk but as soon as he jumped, Takumi jumped with him, the ball falling on the air, Takumi's balance was greater, landing on the ground on time with the ball's bounce and ran to his rim, Aomine turned quickly, it was too late, the way he dunked reminded him of his first dunk, full of power, excitement and determination, the ball went in, hit the ground and rolled away. Aomine stared, stupefied for a moment before looking up at Takumi, who smiled at him.
"Great game," Aomine felt a knot in his throat, his voice felt hoarse, he was not going to cry like Kise but… he had lost again, he lost the game, he lost Tetsu, he lost his shadow.
"Yeah," he grinned, smacking Takumi's back playfully, Himuro gave them a gentle smile.
"Atsushi, it's your turn," Himuro said, Atsushi stood up, his expression was bored but you could see something like irritation on his eyes. Akashi stared at Murasakibara, he had no snacks, which meant he was mad, which meant he was going to crush Takumi, maybe.
"Atsushi," Akashi called.
"Hai, Aka-chin…" Murasakibara mumbled, walking to the court, Takumi stopped drinking his water and turned back to the court. Akashi threw the ball up in the air. Murasakibara of course grabbed it. Sadly, this game moved too fast to describe so I'll summarize it for you all.
Murasakibara was so pissed off about not eating candy that he did 3 Thor hammers and because Kumi-chin is so fast he wanted to crush him since he could smell a candy on his packet so Takumi was running away from the giant more than playing him, shooting the ball from random angles since he was scared Murasakibara would land on top of him and eat him instead of the candy, everyone who was sitting began laughing at the comical display (except Akashi, who was somehow disappointed, after Takumi actually made his 10th point, with a dunk, he was hanging on the net so before jumping down, Murasakibara dragged his shorts down, Takumi kicked away as Murasakibara pulled hard enough and Takumi was left in his black boxers, as for Murasakibara, he only made three points but he got the candy in Takumi's pocket, which was his favorite. That was Murasakibara's and Takumi's game. It was a… good game?
Kagami hadn't meant to say it out loud when he called Takumi over to eat and more stomachs began growling. Well, Maji Burger was near so… yeah. People stared at the table where huge teenagers were sitting, Takumi forcing his brother to eat more, which he did, just a bit. They celebrated (kind of) with vanilla, strawberry, chocolate shakes, some coke and stuff. Takumi excused himself to the bathroom for a short moment, oddly enough, Akashi left the table to the bathroom as well. In the bathroom, Takumi was already washing his hands. He felt Akashi's presence in the room; he turned and saw him there, leaning on one of the sinks.
"Great games, Takumi," there was something odd about the way Akashi said Takumi's name that gave Takumi the shivers.
"Thanks, I'm playing you tomorrow, correct?" Takumi asked, now drying his hands, he saw Akashi turn on the faucet and soap his hands, they looked so small, so delicate, and they almost reminded him of his brother's hands.
"Maybe," Takumi stared at him, he dried his hands and left, Takumi stared at his retreating form. He was short.
"Maybe?" he asked himself, not sure of what he meant. Back in the table Akashi merely smirked at him, the other guys were saying how they will forever miss Kuroko and then Kuroko would say that he wasn't dying or anything, they could still see him when they wanted. They all laughed together, content with how they were as of now. Tomorrow was the day.
ONE MORE! Why is Akashi being so considerate? Is something going on in his heart, is Takumi noticing something in those heterochromatic eyes?
Conscious: RnR! Next chapter tomorrow early!
