I Approve but Now You're Mine
It was late. Takumi laid in his bed thinking about the following day. He would go against Akashi Seijuuro, the ex-captain of Teikou, the one who brought up the Generation of Miracles, the one who helped his brother be able to play the sport he loved for so long. He groaned and sat up, his eyes felt heavy but sleep seemed impossible. He recalled all his meetings with the red-head, the thought of his heterochromatic eyes staring at him gave him the shivers, he found his dominant voice kind of cute and the way he walked was perfect. Takumi lay back down in bed, he couldn't believe what he was feeling; he was in love with Akashi Seijuuro.
It was early in the morning, eight in the morning, Midorima was fresh out the shower, he could hear his sister's out of tune voice singing to some Korean music she referred to as 'K-Pop', if she like it so much she might as well learn Korean to sing it right. He entered his room, it was time to hear Oha-Asa for the day, he knew today Akashi would be playing Takumi, and sincerely, he was not entirely sure of who was to win between the two. He turned on the radio. Akashi, Sagittarius, Takumi, Aquarius.
Today on first place is Sagitarius! You'll be in the best relation with your current loved on and if you're single, today you'll see your perfect half. Don't be scared to confess to that special someone, because there is no way they'll reject you. You're special item today is actually a person! Pick your Aquarius wisely!
On last place today is Aquarius, your sign in love is high so you better have your lucky item with you at all times to make sure nothing bad happens, your special item is a person as well! A Sagittarius will keep you safe and you will give him or her great luck!
Midorima nearly choked on his own saliva, as he registered what Oha-Asa said, he knew only Akashi was from December from their small group of friends, to think the two going against each other today were literally canceling out was interesting and by confession, did it mean Akashi was going to win, confess to Kuroko and then run away together? He stared at the radio dumbly, as if waiting for it to give the answer, then his sister knocked on the door and he regained his composure.
It was near two, the Generation of Miracles were on the way to the court. Kagami had also come with Kuroko of course. Takumi had walked ahead, getting to the court before the others like usual. He then saw a pair of children playing, they looked so short compared to his stature.
"I'll be the Onii-san with the tattoo!" said the raven haired one, the other one pouted.
"I wanted to be him! He is the cool one!" the brunette whined, the two started arguing until Takumi stepped in.
"Ala, I'll be myself, okay?" the two boys stared up in amazement at Takumi, with a huge smile on their face. "And you two, can be yourselves, which is better than being someone else," the two kids nodded.
"We were just pretending, Onii-san! Good Luck with your game today!" said the raven haired boy, the brunette also nodded, Takumi thanked them; they giggled and left a huge smile on their face. Takumi wished he already had children, they were so adorable.
"You're good with kids," Takumi turned to see Akashi walking towards him, Takumi turned around again and nodded.
"Yeah," he grinned, Akashi was by his side, he looked up to see the silly smile of his like always. Akashi turned to see off into the street like Takumi was. The rest of the guys were arriving, as soon as everyone came in, Akashi called for their attention.
"Tetsuya, I approve of Taiga but now," Akashi walked up to Takumi and grabbed his shirt, pulling him down to an eye level. "You're mine."
Kise's mouth went agape, his eyes huge. Aomine fainted, Midorima's glasses cracked and Murasakibara began to choke on his beloved candy. Kagami's mouth was probably as wide as (or wider than) Kise's. Kuroko's usual emotionless look remained somehow, instead a smile found way to his lips. As for Takumi, he was left too surprised, his hazel eyes were huge and shiny, as he stared straight into Akashi's mismatched orbs.
Asides from everyone screaming WHAT and then being half-killed by Akashi, they found themselves celebrating once again at Maji Burger. Takumi seemingly in another world, Akashi clearly satisfied with himself. Time came later and they went to play a game to the court, all together, they were eight people. Akashi, Takumi, Kise and Murasakibara won. The losers had to dance in the middle of the park. It was still awfully early though, barely six, but the young men all retreated home. Kuroko left with Kagami to his apartment so Takumi was home alone.
Takumi POV
I unlocked the door to the house, saying a quick greeting to no one in particular as I took my shoes off, I began walking up to my room rather slowly to see the many pictures of me and Tetsu-nii mom had decorating the hall. I have had a lot of fun with Tetsu-nii's friends, they're all real great friends too. Kagami showed his love for Tetsuya with the best dunk I had seen, I found it nearly impossible how I lost against him but he had. Tetsuya ran to me and then Kagami had walked forward and I laughed. At least I knew they we're meant together now.
I grabbed my black briefcase from under my bed as I grabbed my clothing and began putting it away, neatly folded. My shoes, accessories, all that god stuff, Nigou had left with Tetsuya to Kagami's so Taka was still asleep in the couch. I finished packing. Looking at the room, a picture of me and Tetsuya was in the bed-side. We were ten.
I walked down stairs, Taka was already up, I grabbed another bag and packed Taka's things. He barked.
"Yup, it's time," I smiled, he came and licked my hand. I pet him and walked outside, locking the door. I got on a car that seemed to be waiting for me. I put the things in the back and got on. Inside someone was waiting for me, I stared with at said person with a small smile.
"Are you ready?" it was Akashi. When I placed my stuff in the trunk there was a matching red briefcase as well. I nodded.
"It's more like are you sure," I said, he smirked.
"I am Akashi Seijuuro, I'm sure of everything I do," I looked at is little devious face, the car was already running.
"So you're really going to run away?" Akashi nodded. I wasn't running away, I was moving to the states again and Akashi, pointing out that I'm his, said he would leave with me. I leaned down and kissed him, cupping his cheek as a sweet gesture. He grabbed my wrist softly. I pulled away.
Author POV
Kuroko arrived home the following morning with Kagami, his parents were back from vacation, his dad soothing his crying mother.
"Dad, what's wrong? Where's Takumi?" his dad gave him a side smile as he pointed at an open envelope in the table. Kuroko grabbed it.
Mommy, Daddy, my dear Tetsu-nii,
I have transferred schools (my dad let me do all this, but I begged him so don't get mad at him mommy). I will now live independently since I find myself staying a bit of a hindrance, Tetsu-nii, I'll stay in basketball so we'll be going against each other sometime soon anyways! Please don't be mad, I'm okay, you can call me any time! Lots of love,
Takumi
P.S. TAKE CARE OF MY BROTHER TAIGA OR I'LL COME AND SKIN YOU ALIVE- Love you too.
Kuroko stared at the childish letter with widened eyes, Kagami had read it over his shoulder and lightly patted his back. Takumi said he would find Kuroko's prince charming at any costs. He never knew he would leave right after beating the Miracles though… he smiled. He knew Takumi was probably happy though and under the small amount of tears, there was a smile of Kuroko's face, he was thankful.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Japan…
Akashi approved of their home, a simple traditional styled house Takumi's grandpa had left behind. His dad was happy for Takumi and agreed to help them out too. Although, Takumi noticed Akashi was very much like a woman, ordering him around where to put the furniture and stuff. Akashi's parents didn't dare call him, except his mom to make sure he was doing okay.
"Takumi, let's go to bed," Akashi ordered. Takumi came back inside
"Soooo are you okay without Tetsuya now?" Takumi asked hugging him from behind. Akashi kissed his hand.
"Yes, I have you," Akashi smiled, Takumi kissed his forehead.
"So romantic…"
Now in Taiga's Apartment [p.s. fuck chronological order]
Kuroko laid cuddled with Kagami in the couch. Kagami gave him a small kiss.
"What was that for?" Kuroko asked, Kagami smiled.
"No reason," Kagami said. "So who's your true light now?"
"Still Takumi," Kuroko replied, Kagami stared agape.
"He showed them the true light, and helped you stay with me," Kuroko said, Kagami scratched his head.
"Yeah, he's a great brother."
"I know."
