He should not be aroused by Cas tied up. Dean swallowed thickly and moved to untie the angel. He crouched down in front of his beige-clad friend and starting untying his feet. He could feel his heart pounding being this close. He reached up to pull the gag from Cas' mouth, his fingers brushing against Cas' cheek. His erection throbbed in his pants. The gag gone, Cas gave him a funny look.
"Dean, are you okay?" Cas asked, looking down at the lump in his pants.
"Yeah fine." He replied a bit too quickly.. Castiel squinted up at him for a long moment before Dean cleared his throat and took a step back, offering his hand to the angel. Castiel placed his hand on Dean's and stood, causing a fluttering sensation in his stomach. They were much closer now that Cas was straight up rather than tied to a cement pillar. Dean's eyes shifted nervously without ever meeting Cas'.
"Uh, dude. Personal space?" He said, holding his breath as the angel leaned in a bit more. Castiel's expression softened a bit and he took three steps back. He looked almost hurt which confused the hell out of Dean. The personal space issue was nothing new between them, but Cas had never looked so hurt about Dean asking him for some room. He released the breath he had been holding and met Castiel's eyes. A crash to their left interrupted their staring contest and two nasty looking vamps ran up to the duo with their mouths wide open. Immediately Dean forgot all about his little gay crisis and went into full blown bad ass mode. With knives and teeth slashing in front of his face every few seconds, he was unable to keep tabs on his angelic friend. He wasn't worried though, he knew Cas could handle all the vampires in the building easily. After he cut the creature's head off he realized how much noise they had made and figured they better get out of there fast before it came to that. He grabbed Castiel by the bottom of his shirt sleeve and started running for the door. They kept running until they made it to the Impala, and that was when Dean noticed that he was holding his best friend's hand. Breathing raggedly, he looked over at Castiel who was already looking back. Dean felt something not entirely unpleasant in the pit of his stomach and all he could manage to do was offer a weak smile and pull his hand away. Instead of releasing Dean's hand, Cas squeezed it gently and pulled the hunter closer to him. Dean's breathing was heavy for a whole other reason now. Cas laced his fingers with Dean's and blue orbs stared into green until eventually Dean leaned forward to rest his forehead on the other man's.
"Dean." Cas whispered gently.
"Yeah Cas?"
"It's okay to be afraid, but please don't ever be ashamed." and with that Cas leaned forward and captured Dean's lips with his own in a soft kiss. Dean understood now why his friend had looked so sad when Dean asked him for his space. He had been looking through Dean's thoughts and Dean knew he should be pissed. But as he leaned down for a more passionate kiss, he couldn't find it in himself to care.
