Hey guys! This is a new story that I'm working on that I couldn't quite keep myself from posting. I've seen this idea done before, so I will take absolutely no credit for the idea itself, just my twist on it.

Take a look and enjoy! If you're looking for something that's already a little more established, might I suggest my other story, Naruto, Remnant's Sage and his Nine Disciples.

Without further adieu!

Plunk.

Plunk.

Plunk.

"You know that's a little obnoxious, right?" A blond girl next to Naruto suddenly asked.

"Mhmm."

Plunk!

"And you're doing it, why?"

"'M bored," Naruto responded with a shrug.

Two pairs of eyes looked at him in disbelief, "You are five minutes into a ten minute flight to the best Huntsman Academy in the world…and you're bored?"

Naruto glanced at the younger, cutesier girl. "I get bored pretty easily. And I guess the academy is alright. As long as I get my license, I'm all good."

More silent staring. Finally, the blond rolled her eyes, "Whatever, just stop throwing that ball at the wall. I'm trying to talk to my sister here."

Naruto shrugged again, but didn't throw the ball again. He simply stood up and started walking away as the blond started talking to her sister again.

"I just can't believe you got into Beacon two years early Ruby! This is going to be so great! I swear…"

The voices of the two girls faded away as Naruto walked across to a window showing Beacon Academy in all of it's glory. Finally, he was here. It had taken entirely too long to get here.

His purpose?

Naruto never did something without a purpose. He had a purpose now, more important than anything else. More important than becoming Hokage, more important than finding Sasuke and bringing him home, and more important than surviving the Akatsuki.

The words echoed in his mind, and he would not forget a single syllable of them until his purpose was fulfilled.

"Naruto Uzumaki, I, Tsunade Senju, Fifth Hokage of Konoha—"

Naruto quickly sidestepped an over excited orange haired girl as she nearly stumbled into him.

"Renny isn't this so exciting? I wonder if we will find a sloth! That would be so…"

Naruto rolled his eyes, and focused back onto the school, whose landing pad they were approaching to land on. He quickly walked back to the seat he had located next to the two sisters, and grabbed his rather light travel bag. He made it to the front just in time for the door to open, and he swiftly walked out.

He sidestepped a white-haired girl with a rage fueling logo on her luggage, only to stop when the realization hit him of just who this girl was.

"—Fifth Hokage of Konoha, do hereby promote you to the rank of Tokubetsu Jonin, and hereby assign you the following mission."

With a scowl, Naruto turned away from the snooty looking girl that was currently checking each individual bag, and walked away at a faster pace than he probably should have.

'Schnee,' Naruto growled to himself as he disappeared behind a rather large tree. To any onlookers that truly paid attention to the teenager, they would have sworn they saw Naruto walk out from behind the tree at least four times, each wearing a different set of clothes.

Not that it mattered. Nobody would catch Naruto. If they did, he would truly be obligated to kill them.

"This mission shall be classified as S-Rank, and will be treated with the highest discretion."

'Ozpin's office,' Naruto thought to himself as he looked up at the closest tower. 'The communications tower should be nearby as well.'

A boom behind him had him looking back, and he saw the Schnee with the younger sister from earlier. Both were on their asses, and it was evident that a dust incident had taken place.

"Dumbass Schnee," Naruto muttered. "You'd think she would know better."

"You're telling me," A black haired girl shook her head as she passed by him and started walking towards the two downed girls.

Naruto scoffed, and continued into the main hall for the welcoming speech.

He found it…lacking. The hair wasn't the only thing giving away Ozpin's age. His lackluster and boring speech said practically the same thing.

It didn't matter to Naruto though. He was tired, and wanted to go to sleep. He had a lot weighing on him, and just getting here was exhausting as it was.

"Authorized persons regarding the following S-Rank mission details are myself, Shizune Kato, Danzo Shimura, and Jiraiya of the Sannin."

Naruto eventually settled into his sleeping bag, doing his best to tune out the four girls that seemed to be doing their best to keep everybody awake.

He awoke early the next day, much earlier than anybody else did. He got up and put everything of his away before anybody even began to stir. He immediately left the hall, determined to explore as much of the school as he could before he was dragged into whatever initiation they did here. He doubted it would be anything like his bell test had been, but he would reserve judgement…mostly.

After about an hour or two of the walking around, Naruto heard the announcement to meet on a cliffside, and he began making his way to where he knew the other students were gathering.

'My back is killing me,' Naruto frowned, and rubbed his back absentmindedly. His trip really hadn't been good for him.

He had to hand it to the toads, they definitely got him here as fast as they said they would…as uncomfortable as it ended up being.

"You are to travel across the impassable seas, and using your provided alias, infiltrate Beacon Academy as a student."

Impassable seas? Not so much. Hard as shit to pass seas, and uncomfortable as hell? Yeah, probably too long of a name. Impassable seas did have a ring to it.

Naruto listened as the old coot explained how the partnering system would work, gaining a roll of the eyes from Naruto. Even Konoha, who preached team work among everybody, put thought into their teams. This was bound to be volatile at the best of times. Then again, perhaps that would work for him?

"Your secondary objective is to use any means necessary to gather pertinent information regarding the war between the United Elemental Nations and Remnant's United Forces…"

'Yeah,' Naruto thought with a smirk as he moved to his launchpad. 'That would probably work out for me.'

He frowned as his thoughts turned to his primary objective…his real purpose for being here. He knelt down as the students down the line began getting launched into the sky.

"Your primary objective is to gather information or orchestrate the rescue…by any means possible…of one Sakura Haruno."

Naruto's fist's clenched, and he glared up at Ozpin one last time. One of the most likely culprits. One of the most likely objects of his hatred. His eyes flashed a blood red, though nobody was looking at him. He was suddenly shot into the sky, and Naruto remembered Tsunade's last words to him.

"This mission is given to you due to recommendation of Jiraiya of the Sannin. As a Master of Infiltration and Espionage, he states your skills in that particular field now equal or supersede his own. The future of Konaha and the rest of the Elemental Nations now rest in your hands…Should blood spill, let it not be yours…and let it be plenty."

He was launched into the air, the cold thought of a bloody vengeance at the forefront of his mind…

Maybe he understood Sasuke a little bit better now.

Annnnnd there it is! Now, while I do find my mind on this story allllll the time, my main focus is going to be on my other story until it is finished. Don't take that to mean that I won't be working on this, just that I will be prioritizing Remnant's Sage just a bit more.

In fact, the main reason for posting this rather than just writing until I have more of the story finished is to gain feedback and hopefully see how much you all would be interested in a story such as this. I feel like stories starting at the beginning of RWBY Vol 1 is a little overdone, but I couldn't get this idea out of my mind, so I wanted to see what you all think about it!

Thank you all and don't forget to Favorite and Follow, but most importantly Review! Qrow out!
