Prologue
Kohaku is always fascinated by the moon and all its phases. She is the rose with all its thorns. She is the ocean with all its surges mixed up with storms with all its rumbling thunders. A part of her is sometimes hidden. Some come with no control, while others turn into far-flung blurs she can't repaint.
She's delicate yet distant. She thinks she's better off untouched. A part of her has always been obscured, always unwanted. But she learned to live with it. She exists for herself.
It all changed the moment she saw him. He has this unusual spikey white-greenish hair, and he's walking along their school corridors with his lab coat on. His crimson eyes look so beautiful that she almost feels herself losing in them. That was the day, she swears, she wanted him to notice every single thing about her. Everything.
She's a wanderess. A lioness. She can tame every sheep, but she won't be tamed, not by anyone or probably anything, or that's what she thought. She realized there was one person she couldn't tame, and he caught her attention using his intelligence. Little by little, all her steps are leading to him. That person despises the idea of romance, often telling her romance is the most illogical thing there is, but she can make him fall. She can do it. She's Kohaku Hizashi.
She thinks she'll succeed, only to find out that she didn't tame him. He tamed her. She toppled, stumbled, complete with bruises...pieces of her heart were scattered on the ground...because it was all too late. He loved someone else, and that someone else was not her. She had to leave before she even had the chance to tell him her feelings...years after years... she gave up on him...she gave up on herself.
She did not hear about him ever since until she came back to Japan. It has been so many years since she's seen him. She made sure she wouldn't make the same mistakes again. With all of her wounds healed, she'll be back to her old self again. She had vowed never to fall in love with him again, but then she tripped and ended up falling.
A/N: The story will be told from Kohaku's POV
A part of this book is an excerpt from my favorite book and the plot. This is my first fanfiction, I am inspired to write an alternate universe of my own story for my favorite pairing in the anime, so I hope you like it. I also do not own the characters from Dr. Stone for this story, it belongs to the great Inagaki and Boichi.
