The Hugh Election
The time has come for the second debate. At the community center is where it is at. The candidates are all ready. A total of 15 undecided voters are there. Plus undecided others watching it at home on a local channel. The undecided voters is how to win the Election. So they must try to get them.
Arthur: Dad i hope you get most of the undecided in that debate. At least the one there.
Mr. Read: I will do the best i can.
Arthur: See you after school.
Mr. Read: Okay. Then we head to the debate after dinner.
Arthur: Okay dad.
After they got back home had dinner and heading to the debate. One of the candidate will just use an old speech of a past President. Just change some words to make it his own. Which might cost some votes. It has begun.
Mr. Read: If Elected Mayor i will work with the City Council and the School board. Open new schools and bring in more new businesses into this City. I will also work with Unions. I will do the best job i can. Thank you.
Mr. Crosswire: If i am Elected i can bring in more Big Businesses and car lots. That can help this City. That is Capitalism. That can help with your needs. Thank you.
As it turned out Mr. Haney used a Speech Reagan made as in The Evil Empire speech but put Communism instead of Anti communism. For that he lost 2 voters. Mr. Read picked them up. He also picked up 6 out of 15 undecided voters there. Socialist Mr. Ratburn picked up 4. 2 others got the rest. After the debate they are heading home.
Arthur: Mr. Haney used that speech and made it his own?
