Well.. Yikes...

I MISSED YOU GUYS. WHATEVER.

UM, HERE'S ANOTHER CHAPTER. IT'S SHORT. MOSTLY DIALOGUE.

THIS IS ALL I CAN BIRTH WHEN I DON'T FEEL GOOD. SORRY. I MIGHT ADD MORE LATER, THOUGH.

~~CIEL'S P.O.V.~~

I silently shut the window and turned to my blonde friend. He kept avoiding eye contact. Alois looked tired. He looked indeed drained.

"You better get explaining."

"Calm down~," The menace yawned, "Can't I go to bed and talk in the morning?" He started walking towards my bed.

I jumped in front of him as quickly as possible, "No. This is rather important."

He sighed, "Well, what do you want to know?"

"How are you even here? Mind explaining from the beginning."

Alois gazed down at the ground with a distant look, still avoiding eye contact with me. He stepped around me and sat on the bed. He pulled me down to sit next to him.

"Well… It wasn't an angel."

"How was it not an angel? I mean,-." Wait. I have to think about this.

"Not quite an angel. It was much worse than an angel." I paused to let him talk. What the hell was it then?

"The god damn thing was some sort of cross between an angel and a demon. A hybrid." A smirk formed at the side of his mouth. Alois turned his head. I didn't see his usual icy blue eyes. No.

"What happened to you…?"

"I'm not completely sure. But, let me tell you something interesting… I'm not completely human anymore…" He smiled and red eyes looked back at me.

"Y-You're… A demon. How is that even possible?"

"I don't know, darling. Do you know? I was unconscious most of the time. Oh! And there's something else that I forgot to say… What was it…?"

"You're taking this a bit too well."

"I got it! I remember everything~."

"Wait… What."

"I only forgot all of that stuff because of the damn half-demon half-angel hybrid thing. He messed with my past. Completely rewrote my time with you after I had you move in with me at the manor." He laughed and scooted closer to me. I scooted away. He's freaking me out.

"So, let me elaborate. You're a demon, now-."

"Pretty neat, eh?"

"-… And you got your memories back…?" He nodded and fell back on the bed, giggling like an idiot.

"Can I go to bed, now?"

"No. What happened to the hybrid?"

"I don't remember. I either fought it to the death, or it got away." He kept laughing.

I sighed in frustration, "Just go to bed. Wait, I didn't know demons slept at all?"

He pulled me back into the covers with him, choking me.

"Cut it out! Go sleep in your own room!"

"I may not need sleep, but I could use rest~."

He ended up cuddling me like a teddy bear against my will. So, technically, we both got no sleep. But, I did do a lot of thinking. I can't keep up with everything that's happening. Why is Alois a demon? He's, surprisingly, still himself. But, wouldn't that mean he'll, basically, live forever? So, I'll lose him. I can't really let that happen. Even if it makes me selfish, it's like losing my family again. I see two options here; I can become a demon, or Alois can become a human again. I can see how Sebastian would oppose of me becoming a demon, but how do you get someone's soul to come back? It's impossible… Right?

I turned over and looked at Alois, "Your soul is gone, isn't it?"

He grinned, "As far as I understand, correct, Phantomhive."

"What if you got another humans soul in the place of your own?"

"What are you saying? That you'd give me yours~. How sweet~."

"Shut up. I'm just thinking. If you're a demon, you'll live forever. And I will die long before you. Only because you're a demon."

"You could join me as my profane comrade of the darkness." He snickered.

I sat up, "There are many reasons that I probably shouldn't become a demon, Alois."

"What's so bad about it? I had to think about it, too… but… Being as I can't just get my soul back, I have to look at the bright side."

"Well, what do you suggest we do? I have no idea what to do next. It's going to drive me mad."

"Ciel?"

"What now?"

He shoved his head into the pillows and said something, but I couldn't hear him.

"What?"

"I'm scared. The hybrid is probably still out there. It'll probably kill me. I don't think I was supposed to have gotten away." He turned his head over and looked out the window. I looked down at him.

"I think I have an Idea. But it's unwise."

"Go on, dear."

"I don't know how we'd pull it off, but what if you could take just part of a soul? I mean, I'd be willing to give up half of my soul to make you more human. I just think it would probably be dangerous enough to kill both of us."

He smiled, "So you want to try to use some magical demon powers~? Sounds fun. But, you're really willing to give up half of your soul for me?"

"It's my fault you're like this anyways…"

"Don't blame yourself. Doing that will get you nowhere."

"Whatever. Let's just talk about it tomorrow. Goodnight, Alois."

"Nighty-Night, sweetie." He pulled me back onto the bed to choke me.

"You could go to your own room, you know." I shoved him off the bed. He whined, but finally left me in peace.

I pushed my back into my pillow and closed my eyes. My best friend is a demon. I didn't expect this, but I guess I should've prepared myself for the unexpected. Every time I want something to go smoothly, it seems to end in the worst possible way. I hope this little dilemma ends in the best way conceivable.
