Asami eyed everyone in the circle, "Who wants to go first?" As expected, everyone's eyes turned to me for whatever reason.
I groaned and glared at everyone, "Not me, please." They caved in, realizing they can always peer pressure me later on in this stupid game.
Honestly, I hate games like this. I feel that it's meaningless. There's no winner, so why participate? It's just an idiotic way to make everyone do senseless things or confess whatever they're told to. Anything else would've been better than this.
Alois raised his hand, "I'll go."
"Of course you will," Saki droned sarcastically, "Let someone else go. Someone that, honestly, doesn't want to."
Minami snickered at the end of her comment and rolled her eyes, "Way to be subtle about that, Saki." Her friend's red eyes met with hers and she backed off.
I heard a faint knock on the door and turned my head, just as everyone else did. Just as someone was about to walk through the door, I'm guessing they ran into something because..
"OUCH. GOSH DANGIT! THAT WAS-. Why!? Agh…" A female figure, that I was unfamiliar with, stumbled out. She had white hair and golden eyes. She was tall, that was noticeable. Clutching her foot and groaning in pain, she looked up from her injury and immediately had a look of regret and self-hatred on her face. She stood awkwardly looking around the room to avoid eye contact.
Her gold eyes looked back to the ground, "I...I'm not the best at introductions… Um."
"Who are you..? How did you get in here?" I queried. Normally complete strangers don't wander around easily in a noble's home. She seemed to ignore me and then I was interrupted.
Saki reprimanded dissatisfied, "You're late, Kyo."
I looked to Saki, "So, she's with you…?" She nodded back to me, "Of course she is…" I'm just amazed that they didn't tell me another person was coming with them. Is it really that difficult?
"KYOKO! You're back!" Asami patted the spot next to her, ushering her to sit down. 'Kyoko' slowly stepped forward, still avoiding eye contact and scanning the room.
Saki continued, "Introduce yourself first, you swine. Make it quick. We're trying to play a game." Kyoko then gave her a mocking look and straightened up her posture.
She took a deep breath and started, "I'm Kyoko. Hello. You're Alois and Ciel, right?" I nodded, Alois was a bit slower to react, but he did the same with a smile.
Minami, as well as everyone else, looked confused, "Is that it?"
"Hm..." She thought aloud, "Yeah. I think so."
"Alright, sit." Minami chimed. Kyoko then took a seat in-between me and Alois, which was sort of annoying to me.
Kyoko continued, hesitantly, "Wait. I'm kind of confused as to who gives dares and truths to whom. Please elaborate.. Sorry..."
Minami went on, "Well, I think it'll go like this; we all go in a circle clockwise taking turns choosing truths and/or dares. The person giving them out can just randomly say I guess. Is that sufficient enough for you?"
"Please, just shut up and play. I'll go first. Someone give me a dare." Saki jeered. Everyone paused to think of something. We all knew she wanted something where she could probably kill herself.
Asami thought for a second and spoke, "I dare you to jump out the window." Considering we were on the third floor, I thought she may think twice, but apparently not.
She sneered, "You could've given me something more challenging… But I guess this'll do. See you all in a bit. Now it's Alois's turn. Good luck." She waved, pulled the window open and jumped down. Alois pulled himself out of the small trance he was in. He paused to think.
"I think I'm… Going with… Dare." Now Alois was different than Saki in the way that he wasn't necessarily bold enough to do something dangerous like jumping out of a window, but he was bold in other areas that weren't life threatening. I just hoped no one would go there. Hoped is the key word here.
With absolutely zero hesitation Kyoko announced, "I dare you to kiss one person in this room." Funny how a girl who knows nothing about Alois, or myself, can be so valiant in her request.
He looked around the room, considering his options, "Does it have to be a specific person?" Of course he takes this lightly. Kyoko shook her head. Alois continued to think about it as Saki came in through the door, hair only slightly disheveled. She took a seat back down as Alois lifted his head again, about to say something. But, he paused again and looked down, continuing to think.
I felt my throat get hot at the thought of it. Kissing someone in this room. Much easier said than done, even for me. It was obvious who I would choose, but it was honestly a lot of thinking. But, hey, what do I have to lose? I kept unintentionally glancing at Ciel, but I don't think he noticed. I'll have to stall until I sort my head out.
"Can I do mine later. I feel kind of sick…" I half-lied. Saki and Asami groaned, but nodded, knowing I wouldn't just not do the dare. Now, it's Kyoko's turn.
She raised her hand immediately, "TRUTH."
Mitsuki spoke up first, which was surprising because she rarely ever talks, "If you had to kill one person, who would you kill?" She probably knew nobody else would give a proper enough truth.
"Hah. Probably all of you." That was surprising. I hadn't expected her to be the violent kind. Or the kind that would hate everything, but you can never know with girls anywhere near as strange as these. The girls didn't care about her response, of course, so they passed her and it was my turn. I decided to lie down like Mitsuki was since my back started hurting. This stupid game is going to take forever.
"Do I have to play?" I gently persuaded, "It's not like it's a big deal if I don't, honestly." Asami scowled at me as nicely as possible and nodded.
"I also know you're going to choose truth." She sighed and rolled her eyes at me.
I turned my head up so I could see her and looked at her highly offended, "N-..Not true… I'm not that predictable!"
Saki sneered and her eyes glinted with malevolent intent, "Yes you are. I think that's one thing we can all agree on."
I paused extremely cautiously, "No… I-. I, um… chose dare…" At that moment I wasn't completely aware of the huge mistake I was making. And I refuse to believe I said that. And I will deny everything that comes after, I swear to the god that I wish existed.
Kyoko perked her head up as soon as I said dare, "Well, this should work itself out nicely. I dare you to kiss Alois."
I started shaking and felt a lump in my throat, "W-W-Wait. What.." I sat back up instantaneously and evaded eye contact with the blonde proximate to me to avoid the walls concluding in around me. My face kept getting hotter.
Minami was a little apprehensive to speaking, but spoke up anyways, "Kill two birds with one stone. Alois was already dared to kiss someone, you'd work fine. It's simple logic, really."
"A-Are you-. You're-." I kept choking on my words so I coughed quickly, "You're serious?" They all nodded. I finally looked to Alois who was… Blushing? Alois Trancy, of all people that would be embarrassed in this situation, is completely red. I'm not saying this isn't bothering me, but this has taken quite the turn.
Somehow someone managed to push me and Alois right next to each other and we were both sitting on our knees. I couldn't calm down my breathing and I think Alois was mentally coming to terms with the fact that we were going to have to kiss.
We were going to kiss, and it may not seem like a big deal, but it is. Alois only recently got his memory back and knows that we have kissed before, so it's like it's happening for the first time again and I just cannot come to terms with affection. My emotions just kept bubbling up in my stomach and it was making me feel sick. I forced it down and could no longer blink or close my eyes. I could feel the girls' eyes' burning into my skin as Alois put his hands on my shoulders and started leaning in. The knot in my gut was pulling tighter and tighter. He started closing his eyes slowly, but it was obviously terrifying him. As he neared me I suddenly felt everyone disappear and it was just me and Alois. It was still horrific but I wasn't being burned alive by their stares anymore, so that was nice. Just as I started feeling his breath of my skin, I forced my eyes shut and he pressed his lips to mine. It felt way too over-dramatic than it was, to be completely and utterly honest.
He pulled away and we both looked away from each other, even though I'm one hundred percent certain I saw a smirk on his face.
I really hope that doesn't have to happen again, because I'm slowly feeling my soul die inside of me from all of this torture.
But, why do I even try.
