- Here we are again, I am Doug Harris and we are on live for Wildmusic radio 1, London. We have here, this popular band that is making some social noise again, please let's say hello and for the second time in our radio station to The Skins!

(The radio team clapped and the girls waved their hands, smiling. They remembered when a year and a half ago the same Doug Harris was one of the first people who interviewed them. They had changed a lot their style: they weren't just four lost girls with some illusion anymore, they were totally rockstars).

- Katie, you've changed your hair.

(Katie laughed).

Katie: Yeah, purple streaks. It suits me, isn't it?

(Wildmusic Radio 1, London. 103.7)

- Remember! Today we are dodging the opportunity of properly know these lovely four girls in their set studio. An entire day with them! You know, if you want to participate you have all the information in our web site: wildmusiclondon dot com. And now! Now here we are again with The Skins, who came here when they were starting a year and a half ago, so... how are you? It has been a lot of time.

Katie: We're OK, thank you.

Naomi: A lot of time and a lot of things, as well.

Effy: Yeah... it's been an eventful year.

(Naomi stared at Emily with a smile on her face).

Some hours before.

Emily was having a fag whilst sitting on the open trunk of Naomi's car. She was nervous. Everytime she was going to meet Effy, she felt the nerves and the tension devouring her.

Katie was a little self-centred to realize the weird looks that Emily gave her and Naomi... the blonde was like a puppy made of candy when she was next to the redhead and of course, Emily loved it but...

She was so fucking tense.

They were great together (Naomi and her) but the redhead was feeling that something was wrong and she couldn't help but smoke. Emily felt the blonde's arms hugging her and she sighed, closing her eyes.

"Are you OK?"

Emily lied when she nodded but... she was scared. Every thing around her was starting to be perfect (well, fakely perfect) and she was scared as hell.

She didn't want to broke their bubble but she was doing the thing Naomi hated the most.

She wasn't being honest.

14th of April, 2014.

Naomi's 22st birthday.

"Come here..." she murmured, opening her arms and letting Naomi cry there.

Emily didn't like to see her sad. The redhead didn't like to see Naomi crying because she was starting to feel, and when the feelings were involved...

One month ago they moved to that new flat together because Emily needed to breath apart from her sister (they were finally leaving Bristol and joining the big city) and Naomi wanted to leave the flat where she was living with Effy because it brought some rought moments to her mind. Finally, Naomi and Emily found a nice flat and Katie moved with Effy because it was easier.

That night, when Emily found Naomi curling on her bed and crying, she hugged her. She kissed her forehead and she realized that she loved that blonde girl so much; so much that it really hurted.

"Tell me." Whispered Emily, laying on the bed. The lights were off and the moon light was filling the room.

Naomi stared at her, pressing her lips because she wasn't uncomfortable but she didn't know if she wanted to talk about why she was crying.

She sobbed again and when she felt Emily's hands pressing her belly to hug her she closed her eyes.

"It's all about him." Murmured Naomi.

Emily frowned. "W-who?"

When the redhead heard that sight, she hugged Naomi closer. The blonde bitted her lip while Emily was cleaning her tears with her thumbs, so sweetly. "My dad. I was so little and he loved me so fucking much, he told me..."

Naomi sobbed again and Emily kissed her forehead again. "Go on."

"I-I... he was a drug sealer, Emily. He used to steal Gina's money because he was on p-powder and... God, I can even tell you this without seeming an idiot." Naomi said, closing again her eyes.

When she felt Emily's fingers caressing her arm she relaxed a little and she continued. "He fucked off. My mother..." she said, grabbing Emily's hand and playing with her fingers "told me that he died on an fucking alley."

"That's so horrible." Murmured Emily.

Naomi nodded, feeling how the tears were downing through her cheeks. "In my birthday. I haven't seen him since then, he's..."

The blonde exploded sobbing again and Emily tried to calm her, wiping her tears and shushing her, with so much tender.

"Honestly, he doesn't really know the wonderful daughter that he has lost."

"Do y-you really think so?" Asked Naomi, staring at the redhead. "Do you really think I would have been a good daughter?"

Emily just smiled and nodded. "I think that you would, yeah. You could be whatever you want."

She was making her smile and her heart was beating so fast. She decided to kiss Emily's cheek and she cuddled with her, there in the bed.

Naomi turned around to face Emily, who smiled and caressed her cheek so lovingly. "Can you promise me somethin'?" Emily nodded. "Hard drugs, never."

"Never." Replied the redhead, making Naomi smile.

She turned around again and Emily's hands hugged her so close. "Good, because I lost him... and I think I couldn't handle losing you."

Emily smiled and she pressed her lips in Naomi's ear. Then, she whispered. "I promise you that I am not going to leave you, Naomi. I would never..."

The Skins - Bury

I haven't come to say that I believe in God, because I don't.

He hasn't given me anything, I am an ungrateful bitch, a broken doll.

But you won't play with me again, you won't bury me alive...

I prefer to shine, I prefer you burning me and letting my dust fly.

[...]

"Can you help me with this?"

Emily raised her head to meet Effy, who was staring at her while she was smoking. She seemed relaxed and the redhead wanted to slap her fucking face. How she fucking dared!?

But she didn't. She just grabbed the paper that Effy was showing her and she started to read. The brunette started to sing the verse she had written and Emily stared at her, so surprised. "It's... this is quite good."

Effy nodded. "Thanks, I wanted to show you before... you know."

The redhead went to grab her guitar and started to play some random melodies because she didn't want to talk with her. She was avoiding her and Effy knew, so she continued.

"Emily, stop this shit. I know you saw me so..." And the younger girl stared at her, frowning her brow.

She was really angry because she knew that Katie didn't have a clue about Naomi's father but fuck's sake, Effy did and it seemed that she didn't mind it so much. "Don't tell her. I will sort my issues and every thing will be OK."

"I don't fucking like this." Mumbled the redhead and Effy just shrugged.

The brunette replied, then. "Give me some credit. I've never asked you anything before, Emily." The older girl went outside the room and Emily sighed, closing her eyes.

What a fucking nightmare of week she was going to have.

[...]

She followed Effy's advice. She shut up and although that little secret was devouring her she was so OK with Naomi that she didn't want to think about it.

"Tomorrow we have an interview in popular lesbian website." Mumbled Naomi. They were laying on the bed and Emily was being cuddled so fucking good, playing with Naomi hands under the duvet.

She liked it. She liked that peace so when Naomi told her that the had an interview, she sighed. "I had planned to be all the day with you here, doing absolutely nothing."

Naomi smiled and kissed Emily's boneback. "Just a couple of hours and I'll be all yours." The redhead nodded and felt Naomi's hands hugging her stomach. She sighed again.

"I love you." Whispered Emily.

Naomi smiled. "I love you too."

When the blonde fell asleep, Emily turned around to see her face and passing her fingers through the blonde's cheek she smiled. Naomi was so precious and she was really scared.

She wished that Effy finished her shit with drugs soon because she didn't want to lie Naomi.

She loved her too much to do that.

WeLesbianz interview.

4th November 2015.

- How has it been playing two lesbians in your own video?

Emily: Kind of curious. When we did videos before we tried to have fun and some days later, the people would decide if they had liked it or not, but with Reptilia... it was hard to record but we ended being so satisfied with the result.

Naomi: Yeah, that's true. We were a little bit hesitant about doing that but well, she's my best friend and she really did it great. I liked to record this video because it was different than the things we used to do in our previous videos.

- What do you think about the gay community?

Naomi: I've got so many friends that are gay so I'm fine with it.

Emily: I've always thought that labels are for cans. Even if I'm dating a guy right now, love should be about two people, not the gender of them.

Naomi: I agree there.

- So if the situation arises, you two could fall in love with a woman.

Naomi: Why not? I don't usually think so much about that because what's the difference? Love is love.

Emily: Yeah...

[...]

"ARE YOU TWO FUCKING CRAZY!?"

Naomi stared at Emily and grabbed her hand below the table, squeezing it. "We talked about this, John."

He furrowed his brow. He was angry and he couldn't believe the fucking interview that they had did in that lesbian website. "And now you are trending topic and the people is going crazy about you two! I told you! I told you that with a shitty declaration this would go nuts!"

Emily furrowed her brow. "I am dating a guy because you and the label are so fucking bigoted so don't fuck up with me!"

Oh God... Naomi hadn't seen before that kind of Emily, that angry and offended little girl. She squeezed her hand strongly but the petite seemed to be sick of that. The blonde, definitely was. "This is not just about you two, this is about the Skins!"

Naomi sighed. "What about the Skins, Foster?"

"YOU ARE FOUR LOVELY AND STRAIGHT GIRLS AND THE PEOPLE IS CRAZY ABOUT YOU FOUR 'CAUSE THEY WANT TO BE LIKE YOU!"

Naomi talked then, so calmed. "I'm not a lovely straight girl and I am not going to fake a thing I'm not. I've been gay since I was 15 and I'm 23 and a half so don't try to sell fake things around my image. I'm so proud of who I am and I am so fucking proud of her, OK?"

Foster shut up then. Naomi hadn't spoken like that in all her life and it was quite unbreathaking. "You shouldn't have done that video."

"That video is filling your fucking pockets with money." Said Emily and Naomi nodded because it was true. "So stop being so fucking hypocrites and recognize that the video came out great!"

Foster was moving his leg, so nervously. "So... you two are gay."

Naomi nodded but Emily hesitated.

"Emily?"

"I love her, OK? And we are together and that's the thing that counts."

Foster sighed and rubbed his own hair. "My fucking God... OK, that's fine. I know about Julien too and he's going to get out of the closet soon, so it's pointless that you continue with that." Emily nodded with a smile on her face. "And for the record, I'm not bigoted. I don't have a fucking problem about you two being gay but... it's a touchy subject, do you know what I mean?"

"Of course we know." Said Naomi with a nod. "The fact that we are together doesn't mean that we want to be out of the closet being stalked by cameras and paparazzi all day, all night."

The redhead nodded. "We are not ready for that."

"That's good." He sighed. "Just... be careful you two. There's so many people that ships you but there's also people who hate homosexual couples, and you are rather popular, you know. "

"We know." Said Naomi.

Foster nodded then and he pointed at the door. The girls stood up and walked to the exit, more relaxed than before. Naomi passed an arm through Emily's waist. "You've been so brave."

The petite girl smiled. "You seem to inspire me."

"I love you." Whispered Naomi in her ear and Emily giggled.

"Me too, Naomi. You don't even know how much."

19th November 2015

Skins releasing their first single of their new album "Bury". (And the single is called "Bury" too).

- This song talks about being free, about being able to make some decisions by your own. It's positive because the lyrics talk about a girl who is lost and she stands up and shouts. All the people should do that. Everyone. Just stand up and shout and the world would be a better place. Also, we want to say that if you feel broken, or lost, everybody has the right to feel bad, the most important thing is always stand up.

We are proud of each one of you.
