I'M BACK!
I know, I'm a horrible person. I left you on a cliffhanger. And this chapter will not help with that. In fact, that cliffhanger will not be made happy in quite some time... That does not mean I will not have a continuing chapter after this one for a while. You just... Won't be happy with me. ;)
I can talk more after you read your fill. You deserve it after that long wait! I'm sorry to say I didn't write as many chapters as I wanted to while on break, but I wrote enough. And I promise I have been taking all requests to heart! I'm just sort of... Weaving them into the story. Really, you guys are making this better little by little. I love you all so much, and thanks for all the support!
And I think this is the longest chapter yet!
Warning: Same warning as last chapter. If you are afraid of tornadoes like I am, I apologize.

~*~*~*...*~*~*~
It had all started out as a normal day. Really, it had been absolutely perfect. It was coming close to harvest time in the southern hemisphere. The fields were flourishing with thickets and bushels of planted goods. As Harvey sent a slightly chilled breeze across a field, she knew that it would only be a few days until everyone was hurrying to harvest their crops before the autumn got too cold for them.
As she debated where all the crops would go and what they'd be used for once they were harvested, she felt a warm breeze sweep by her. Harvey gasped, head jerking up and eyes sweeping around to find the source of such a breeze. It took only a few seconds before they landed on a certain fair-haired boy.
Her breath caught as soon as she saw him. His plain red T-shirt hung loosely from his body, but his muscles were still clear through the fabric. His shorts were just the same, made specifically for nice, long walks on the beach. His feet were bare and he smelled like the ocean, so Harvey figured he'd just been there. His skin was the color of the sun, his eyes the color of the deepest sea. All in all, he took Harvey's breath away. That was Luke Warm for you.
The girl quickly became insecure with her own looks. She hadn't really been careful of keeping herself in order because she had expected to be alone for a while longer. That meant that her normally tangled mess of brown and red hair was probably a complete pig stye. Her fall-colored gypsy-like outfit was completely askew, especially her skirts, which had become tangled with the wind. Her hands ran over her garments and hair, trying to make herself look at least partially decent in front of her friend.
A laugh stopped her in her tracks. "Harvey, stop messing with your appearance! No one can see you, and even if they could, they wouldn't care!" Luke called to her, flying over to wrap her up in a hug. She sighed into the hug and closed her eyes. Luke didn't know. He had no clue of what he did to her, how he made her heart skip a beat every time she saw him. And he just thought that she was a generally self-conscious person. He didn't think it was because of him that she acted this what, but thought she would act that way around anyone.
She sighed as he pulled away and forced a smile onto his face. That was good. He couldn't know, because then they wouldn't even be friends. He obviously didn't feel the same way about her.
"I thought you were working today." Harvey said, trying to keep her voice from wavering. "You know, bringing Summer to the few places that are ready for it."
"Exactly, the few places." Luke replied, gazing down at the work Harvey had done with fondness. "It took next to no time to finish." He turned and grinned at Harvey, and she felt her heart melt at the sight. Lucky for her, she'd had lots of practice acting like everything was completely normal, like he wasn't lighting up her world every second he was around her.
"So, what are you planning to do now?" Harvey asked, turning her attention back to the earth. She already knew the answer, but she just wanted to hear it from him, to make sure.
Luke grinned and bumped her shoulder with his. "Follow you on your rounds, bug you, spend the rest of the day with you... Take your pick."
Harvey couldn't help but return the smile. "All of the above. Except maybe the bugging part. I'd rather not deal with that."
Luke laughed, and with that, they continued on their way. Harvey worked hard to bring her season, making sure to do her job, even with the distraction that was Luke.
The day was going wonderfully. Like, the kind of wonderfully where you feel like nothing could go wrong, where everything is absolutely perfect. Where you feel like you're flying even when you're not (though in their case, they actually were). But sadly, everyone knows that whenever things are going wonderfully in that way, they're going to be ruined. It's just the horrible way that life works. And the better things are, the worse they turn.
So, you can guess just how bad things got in this situation.
It was nearing the end of the day. There were still a few hours before the sun went down, but after running around everywhere, Harvey and Luke were feeling pretty worn out. Harvey had finished her work, so they'd gone to the US to check on the beginnings of crop production. They'd reached the midwest portion of the States...
When they promptly ran into Jack Frost.
Naturally, Luke had a deep-set dislike for Jack because he was his polar opposite. Harvey had never actually met him, but according to Luke, he'd had a run-in with the spirit a few months back when flying over the northern hemisphere to visit Harvey. When Harvey saw him the next day, he was at Tooth's palace getting treated for a broken arm, a twisted ankle, and a black eye.
When Harvey noticed the white-haired boy on the ground, she didn't think anything of it at first. Then she noticed the snow falling just a little thicker around him, and the cold breeze that accompanied him, and the glare that Luke had pinned the other boy with. She was about to suggest that they continue on and pretend they'd never seen the winter spirit, when Luke changed course and shot towards the ground where Jack was. Harvey called for him to stop, but he wouldn't listen. He had taken on all the characteristics of a predator attacking its prey, and Harvey knew she wouldn't be able to stop anything that happened next.
Luke landed in front of Jack, and the snow around where he landed immediately melted, leaving a dead patch of grass on the ground. Harvey landed lightly behind him a ways, tensing in anticipation for what was to come.
"Jack Frost." Luke sneered, almost in an animalistic way.
"Luke Warm." Jack sounded much calmer, but Harvey could see the cold hatred in his eyes.
"It's been a while." Luke said, and his voice seemed to echo in the sudden quiet of the world around them. "I was wondering what happened to you. Ran off to lick your wounds, I suppose."
"Hm." Jack hummed, crossing his arms and smirking in a way that seemed less than kind. "And that's coming from you. I don't actually remember being the one to run off. In fact, I believe it was you that decided you'd taken enough injuries and ran away."
Luke growled, slowly moving to circle Jack. "I decided to give you a fair chance. You know, rest and renew your strength before we met again and I decided to end you."
Jack moved with Luke, slowly walking in that horrible circle. "Well, here I am. Let's see if you have the guts."
Luke smiled, a dark smile that sent shivers down Harvey's spine. This was a twisted version of her friend, and she hated it. "Gladly." He whispered.
Harvey didn't have a chance to react before the two flew at each other, throwing all their powers into the attack. Jack's staff glowed an icy blue, and Luke's wristlet glowed a fiery red. They clashed, and Harvey was throne backwards by the force of the explosion that resounded. For a moment, her vision went black. Her head was pounding, and something wet was slipping down her temple.
She didn't know how long it took to get her vision back, but when it returned and she was able to lift her head, she found Luke and Jack high up in the air, exchanging blow after blow. Every once in a while, one of them would land an actual blow on the other one and the injured would be thrown to the ground. But the next moment, they'd be back on their feet, leaping into the air to continue the fight.
But that wasn't what scared the bejeezus out of Harvey. No, what scared her half to death was the sky darkening around them. The world was quickly turning into a maelstrom. A supercell thunderstorm. She could feel both the Summer wind and the Winter wind swirling around her, fighting just as their masters did.
And, at the very center of the storm, directly above where Jack and Luke were fighting, a cloud was beginning to swirl around itself, twisting and churning.
A funnel cloud.
Harvey's breath caught in her throat. Oh, no no no no NO. This was NOT good! Harvey stood and watched the two fighting for a moment longer before turning, running a few paces, and taking off into the air. She had to get help. This was really, REALLY not good. She couldn't take care of this herself.
Her mind turned off and went into panic mode as she flew, screaming that she only had to find someone to help. Then she could drag them to the battle site, and together they could think of something to do. Yes, everything would work out in the end. She pulled a tiny snow globe from a fold in her skirt and threw it at the ground, watching as it disappeared halfway there. North had given it to her for a situation just like this one.
She didn't even see the spirit flying in the opposite direction directly in front of her until she ran into her. She flew back, one hand flying up to hold her aching head. She blinked, her eyes focusing on the gold-flecked emeralds gazing back at her. For a moment, she just stared. Harvey had no idea who this other spirit was. She'd never seen her before, but that didn't really matter at the moment. It was another spirit, and she could help. So, without another thought, Harvey grabbed her arm and dragged her in the direction she came from, back towards the battle.
"Hey, what are you–" The girl began to ask, but she was cut off by her own yelp. Harvey glanced back and watched as the girl turned away, trying to get out of the path of Harvey's now blood-stained hair. The blood blended in perfectly with her red highlights, so Harvey was fairly certain that the girl hadn't noticed the difference. She gave the girl an apologetic smile before turning back to the path ahead.
There was a short moment of silence before the girl continued. "What's wrong with the sky? Where are we going?" Slight pause. "And who are you?"
Harvey glanced back at her quickly before returning her gaze to the path ahead in worry. Had she seriously just noticed the sky? How could it have taken her that long? It looked horrible, deadly, dangerous, and it was tinged green. And if that didn't tell her what was wrong, then nothing would.
"If you don't have the answers to those first two questions already, then I can't answer them for you." Harvey said, her voice tense. "At least, not until we get there. But my name is Harvey." She added, glancing back at Violet yet again. "And what about you?" She knew her voice sounded nervous, but she needed to talk, to try to calm her nerves. The lives of dozens of people were at stake.
The girl seemed happy to continue the conversation. "My name is Violet. I'm the spirit of Spring, and I kind of just finished up warming up the southern portion of the US and was heading home to rest. So..." She paused for a minute, as if debating what to say next. "What's going on that I, um... That I have the pleasure of meeting you?" She finally asked.
Harvey bit her lip, not trying to hide the fear on her face as she looked back at Violet. She couldn't deny the oddness of the situation. She finally met the spirits of Winter and Spring, and this situation couldn't be worse. "Well, that's wonderful. Now we have all four seasonal spirits on the scene. Nice and dandy." She muttered sarcastically. Violet gave her an odd look, and she sighed. "Sorry, it's just... What's going on... Again, if you don't have the answers yet, I won't be able to give them to you." She looked forward again, and her face dropped with a newly ignited dread. "Of course, it shouldn't be that hard to guess now."
Harvey heard Violet gasp, and she knew the other girl had figured out just how dreadful the situation was. Things had gotten worse since she'd left to get help. Sirens had started blaring (how had she not heard them until now?) and the sky was strongly tinged green. But that wasn't even the worst part. The worst part was that the swirling clouds had turned into a funnel cloud within that short period of time and was about to touch down. Harvey saw no signs of Jack or Luke, and she figured they were already somewhere in the cloud. And the worst part was, she didn't think they knew what was going on, what they were doing.
All of those people whose lives were in danger, and neither of the boys even knew what was going on, Harvey was certain of that.
And then Violet was grabbing Harvey's hand, trying to pull them away. Harvey fought valiantly, desperately trying to get away. No no no, they had to help, they had to do something...
"Come on, we need to find cover and hide! There's no way we'll survive that monstrosity out in the open!" Violet said, desperately trying to pull Harvey away, but the other girl would have none of it.
"No!" Harvey practically screamed, desperately trying to keep moving towards the funnel cloud. No no no, Luke... "No, we have to help them! That's no regular tornado, my friend got in a fight and it started up around them! Please, we have to help them!"
Violet froze, her hand loosening just enough for Harvey to pull away. She flew a few feet away before turning and looking at Violet desperately, trying to get her understand with her eyes. "Please. He's my best friend. I only left because I needed to find someone to help. I don't know what to do, I don't want either of them hurt..."
Violet flew forward and grabbed Harvey's arm with the hand not holding her staff, squeezing it comfortingly. "Woh woh woh. Rewind and start from the beginning. Where did all of this begin?" She asked, watching the funnel cloud carefully. "And please hurry. We don't have much time."
Harvey didn't even pause a second before delving into her story. "Well, Luke's been my friend for a long time. As in, he found me just after I was created and was there when I opened my eyes for the first time. He was there when MiM told me everything about myself, and he's been by my side ever since. Well, as much as he can be. We both have jobs that we have to attend to. He's actually the spirit of Summer, and I'm the spirit of Autumn. Really, it's odd that we get along so well, seeing as I'm the one that sends him away each year–"
"Harvey." Violet stopped her, a small smile on her face. "We don't have much time." Harvey bit her lip, stopping herself from continuing. Oh, gosh. She'd almost started talking about her feelings for Luke. She really was worried... She couldn't tell anyone about that, because he didn't feel the same way and she couldn't let him find out because then he wouldn't be her friend and she just couldn't live if he wasn't her friend.
Harvey shook her head and glanced over her shoulder at the twister that was seconds away from touching down. "Okay, right." She agreed, her voice small and barely above a worried whisper. "So, we were just flying by. He had finished his summer jobs around the world and was coming with me while I spread a bit of autumn. But then we ran into the spirit of winter – you know, Jack Frost? – and Luke went off on him for trying to spread Winter to parts of the world that weren't ready for him. I don't think he meant any harm. He's actually not that bad, just a bit anti-social. But Luke is a bit protective, and he went off on the poor boy, and Then they were fighting. I tried to stop them, but they kept pushing me away from the fight, and I just... I couldn't do anything to stop them! And then their winds joined in the fight, and I guess the mix of warm and cold hit just right, because the winds started twisting, and the sky started turning gray, and then the sky was spinning and the funnel cloud was coming down. And then... Well, I didn't waste much more time before flying off to find help. And then I found you, and I was hoping–"
She didn't get to finish her thought. A ripping sound cut her off, and the two girls looked up to find a horrible sight. The tornado had touched down, if it could even be called that. It was huge, monstrous. Within seconds, the farm house sitting just a few yards away was torn off the ground and pulled into the twister. Harvey felt her heart skip a beat at the sight. Oh gosh oh gosh oh gash... It had started. These people were in danger, and the death toll had begun. The girl closed her eyes and turned her face away slightly, sending them away with a little prayer in her head. No way could they have survived that.
Harvey reached out her hand, searching for Violet's, and latched on tightly as soon as she found it. She squeezed it tightly, and felt Violet squeeze back. They may not have known each other very well, but they could still offer each other comfort. She knew they were both scared to death. Violet may not know the reason why the storm started, but that didn't mean she didn't feel the loss it was causing.
Harvey watched as the twister ripped through fields, growing as it picked up shrapnel and debris. And she knew it was too late. There was no stopping this deadly twister, not anymore. It would go on a killing spree, and no one would be able to escape it. Heck, she could feel the tornado's suction pulling at her and Violet from miles away. To think of what it would do up close...
And then Violet's hand left Harvey's grip. Her eyes widened and she watched as the spirit flew directly towards the twister. Harvey screamed at her to stop, to not do this, that it was suicide to go in there, but the girl ignored her.
Within seconds, the spirit of Spring had disappeared inside the dark walls of the deadly twister.
Harvey braced herself to follow, to somehow save the stupid, suicidal girl, but something grabbed her arm and pulled her back. She screamed and fought against it, until she turned and saw what it was. As soon as she did, she froze, falling limp in the grip of the strand of golden sand. Sandy pulled her away from the tornado until it was at least a dozen miles away, and towards the ground where a few other spirits were standing.
The second she touched the ground, a boy with black hair and eyes the color of a clear blue sky grabbed her arms and looked her directly in her kaleidoscope eyes. "Have you seen Violet?" He asked almost desperately. "She should be here by now. I mean, she should have been on her way back to the Warren after finishing her work for the day, and she should have been nearby when the northern lights went out. And if she didn't see those, she should have noticed the green sky..."
He stopped when he noticed the expression on Harvey's face. His face when through in array of emotions, from confusion, to realization, to surprise, back to realization, to fear, to absolute terror. Before Harvey could do anything, he leapt towards the twister, trying to fly directly into it like Violet had, but an arm reached out and yanked him back. Harvey turned and saw Bunny holding him tightly as he fought to break free of the grip, screaming obscenities, tears streaming down his face.
"Stop fightin', Aaron!" He growled, nipping the boy on the ear, causing him to cry out. "I know yer worried, ya think I'm not? But we can't do anything 'bout it now!" Aaron's fighting slowed until it was nothing but his sobs, and Bunny loosened his grip slightly, ready to tighten it again if he tried anything, but more comfortingly. "We just gotta hope that she knows what she's doin'." He whispered, staring at the tornado, pain evident in his eyes.
Aaron laughed, but the sound held no joy. "Does she ever?" He asked, his voice rough from his tears.
Harvey watched the scene, barely noticing the tears streaming down her own face. She felt a gentle hand touch her shoulder, and she turned to find a boy with golden hair and a cape. He was pale, not quite as pale as Jack, but close. He wore a raggedy green shirt and brown pants, no shoes on his feet. A long cape was draped across his shoulders, and he held a flute in one hand. His silvery gray eyes looked sorrowful as they met hers, and something told her that he understood her unspoken pain.
He looked behind her and nodded in the direction of the twister. "I think we should probably be getting out of here." He said, his voice rather gentle, and Harvey found herself thinking that the tone sounded rather unused, as if he didn't often use that tone. It held a lilting, mischievous undertone, and she figured he was normally a trickster.
He looked past Harvey, and she turned to see Sandy making images above his head. They showed the present spirits (and some others that Harvey didn't recognize from the group) leading what looked to be children and their families into cellars.
"Sandy's right." Bunny said in an authoritative voice. "We need ta help the others get the ankle bitas to safety."
"But... Violet..." Aaron said, gazing at the ever-nearing tornado.
"We can't do anything for her now." Bunny said, glancing in the same direction before looking away. "But we can help the kids. And we will."
Aaron nodded, but the boy with the pipe grabbed his arm, effectively stopping him before he could move. Aaron looked at him curiously, but the blonde just smirked.
"What, forgot about the girlie over here?" He asked, gesturing to Harvey. Aaron had the decency to look bashful as he looked at the spirit he'd grabbed in desperation.
The blonde chuckled and held his hand out to Harvey. "The name's Peter. And this here is Aaron, though I guess you would've figured that out by now, huh?"
Harvey would have shaken his hand, but another great gust of wind stopped her before she could. She yelped as the wind pulled her into the air, and her wind couldn't stop it. She would have been taken into the heart of the storm, had it not been for Bunny reaching out and grabbing her arm and pulling her back down. The tornado was only about a mile away now.
"Harvey." Harvey gasped as soon as her feet were back on the ground. "My name is Harvey. Now can we please get out of here before we join them in that thing?" It hurt her to say such words, but she knew they would be worthless to the three other seasonal spirits if they got pulled in. She especially had to stay out of there. She was the only seasonal spirit who wasn't being dragged through that storm, and she would be the only one who could help them if they survived. She could use the earth's power to heal them. That was something the others weren't able to do.
"Right. Nice to meet you Harvey." Aaron stated kindly, his eyes worried and serious. "Now let's get out of here."
No one argued. A rabbit hole opened up beneath them, and they all hopped down without a word.
There would be no more crying for lost friends. That could be saved for later. They had children to save.
The group popped out of the ground in a nearby town that laid in the path of the oncoming twister. The paused a moment to let Bunny tell them where to go, then they were off, each going into houses and double-checking that the families were safely tucked away in their basements or in another safe area.
Harvey couldn't remember how much time they spent checking on the children. They'd gone through multiple towns and neighborhoods. Harvey had found plenty of children whose parents weren't home and she had to guide them to a safe area in different ways. Usually she would go grab a Guardian that could be seen to guide them. Sometimes she was able to use paths of leaves or colors to guide them. Once she even stacked a bunch of cans to make an area pointing towards the basement. It was a bit odd and the child freaked out at first, but eventually they went into the basement, tucking themself away safely.
Every once in a while, she'd run into one of the other spirits helping, but she rarely saw any sign of the other four. She'd run into a spirit she'd never seen before in her life. There was one spirit she ran into one who was rather lanky, had an image of an apple on his shirt, and wore a cooking pan on his head. Another she ran into was big and bulky, and he carried an axe. She ran into a small girl with purple hair and eyes that changed color, and even a weird creature that reminded her of a gargoyle. But she never stopped to talk when she saw them. She'd just move on to the next house and let them have the one they met at.
It wasn't until hours later that she even paused in her work. She wouldn't have at all, if she hadn't run into Peter and Aaron, who grabbed her arms and forced her to stop. She glared at them a bit, but her anger didn't last long because Aaron quickly spoke.
"Harvey, have you noticed a change in the tornado?" He asked. Upon seeing her confused look, he bit his lip and looked at Peter. "I phrased that horribly, didn't I?"
"That you did, my friend." Peter said, chuckling. He grabbed Harvey by her shoulders and turned her to face the twister. "Look. It's starting to break apart."
Harvey frowned but did as she was told.
Her mouth dropped open as she gaped at the deadly storm.
If she had been watching, she wouldn't have noticed the change. But she hadn't been watching. She had been focusing on protecting and saving these people. She hadn't seen any sort of gradual change, only the difference from the storm originally to the storm now. It had started slowing down, that was a certainty. The winds were slowly but surely dying down. The storm was still deadly and raging, but it wasn't as strong as it had once been.
And then she saw it.
A small figure flashed into view at the bottom. It wasn't very clear, but she identified it to be the figure of a girl with slightly curly hair, no shoes, and a staff in hand. There was a strange violet light emanating from the object that was easily covered by the sheer darkness of the storm. But for that moment, it was very clear.
Harvey felt Aaron grab her arm, and immediately she and Peter grabbed the boy's arms in support. His eyes were wide, and he looked like he might collapse from the sudden mix of emotions that were flashing behind eyes.
By that point, most of the other spirits had joined them. They all watched as the twister seemed to fight against itself, trying to keep together, but falling apart. Harvey felt a wind circle around them, one that felt like the complete opposite of her wind.
Aaron gasped. "That's Violet's wind! Where's Violet? Is she okay? Why aren't you with her right now?" He asked desperately.
The wind simply swirled around them a bit more before heading back in the direction of the twister. But Harvey had understood it. It was the thing stopping the storm. It and Violet. They were working as a barrier between the hot and cold winds. A portion of it was still in the storm, but that portion of it had come to warn the group.
Get ready. No one is coming out of this uninjured.
Harvey reacted quickly. She flew toward the twister, ignoring the cries behind her that she needed to stop. She made sure stay far enough away that she wouldn't get pulled into the last dying winds of the storm, but she got as close as she possibly could. The twister was down to EF1 by that time, and it was fighting to even be at that level. She could clearly see Violet standing at the bottom now, staff stuck in the ground as she was dragged along with the storm.
And then it happened.
Suddenly, Violet wasn't there at the bottom of the storm. She was just whisked away. The light disappeared, and Harvey felt her heart skip a beat. The storm quickly took the chance and started to rage back to life, quickly climbing in speed and intensity. And with Violet out of the picture...
... There was no stopping it.
Harvey took in a deep breath. No no no no no. This can NOT be happening. It can't just be over. But you don't have to like something for it to be true. The truth was, Violet wasn't working as a barrier anymore. The truth was, the Summer and Winter winds were again fighting. The truth was, it was over.
Then Harvey realized something.
Violet had been the barrier between hot and cold... Just like Spring was the barrier between Summer and Winter. And Spring wasn't the only season to work as that barrier. That was Autumn's job as well.
It was a crazy idea. But hey, she was the only season not in the twister, so seasonal spirits were probably known to be a bit crazy. Why not join in on the fun.
Harvey shook her head and looked towards the sky. "I'm absolutely insane." And with that, she dove into the twister.
The wind was much fiercer up close than it was from a distance. It fought against Harvey with everything she had. But she hadn't gone in when it was an EF5 twister, she'd gone in when it was down to EF2. And she was able to fight to the bottom fairly quickly.
As soon as her feet touched the ground, Harvey felt her power surge through her. The pennant around her neck began to glow a lively orange, and her wind wound around her. The twister fought, oh how it fought, but it'd already lost the fight to Spring. Now it would lost the fight to Autumn.
Harvey had no idea as to how much time went by, but in what seemed like both seconds and an eternity, she felt arms wrap around her and lower her to the ground. She hadn't realized her eyes had closed until she'd tried to open them and felt like they were weighed down by rocks. Once she got them open, everything was a blur, and she could only make out figures. Every voice sounded as if it was coming from the end of a long tunnel.
"Are all the seasonal spirits idiots?" Peter, that voice was Peter's. He was the one to have lowered her to the ground, and now he was kneeling next to her collapsed form.
"I think they just might be." That voice, she didn't recognize. It was probably one of the spirits she didn't know. "I mean, both Harvey and Violet decided to fly head on into the twister."
A soft sob could be heard, and then, "I don't care. I really don't care. They're okay, that's all that matters." Aaron. Harvey could just make out his form, cradling a small figure against his chest on the ground.
"Aaron's got a point." Bunny. That one was Bunny. She could tell by the accent. "We need ta get them back to the poll. North and the others are already there waitin'. They'll have all the medical supplies ready."
There was a slight shuffle, and Harvey felt herself being lifted off the ground. She didn't fight it, just let her eyes close and leaned into the support.
Then there was the sound of yelling and panic, and people speaking calmly. Harvey felt the grip on her tighten, and she opened her eyes to see what was happening, her gaze was still blurry, but she forced it to focus. What she found was a very injured white-haired boy fighting against the hands trying to help him, desperate to get away. After a bit more scuffling, he got to his feet and backed away from the group.
Sandy made some sand images that showed Jack resting and spirits helping him, him resting and getting better, but Jack just shook his head, tears in his eyes. "No." He whispered, then louder, "No! I hurt people, didn't I?" When he got no response, he just shook his head. "No. You need to stay away from me, as far away from me as you can."
"Jack–" Aaron began, but it was too late. He was already shakily taking to the sky, shepherd's staff in hand, flying away.
As the others continued talking and getting the other three seasonal spirits to safety, Harvey allowed herself to fall into the bliss of unconsciousness. Just before she fell under, she had time for one last thought.
Good riddance, Jack Frost. I hope to never see you again.
~*~*~*...*~*~*~
So... What do you think?
I know, not what you were expecting. It was from Harvey's point of view... But this was very important, considering you'd be confused later on if you hadn't read this. Sadly, I gave you no answers as to how Violet is. And Aaron was crying... Oh, gosh, I'm tearing up. I think I'm going to compare myself to Voldemort. He did great things. Terrible things... But great. But there is time yet...
I have school tomorrow. I am still on a schedule 12 hours ahead of my time here, and I have to go back to school. The world hates me. But I had a lot of fun! And the Great Wall is not flat. At all. Oh my gosh... And bargaining is wonderful!
So, you need to tell me what you thought. I'm probably going to rewrite all the chapters when I get to forty or fifty, so I have time, but I need to organize them and get the information corrected in the order of time. I'm putting together a chapter guide in time order to put at the beginning of the story, so you can go back and read them in order time-wise. Might be better, might not. I don't care, but I think it may help. It'll keep people from getting lost. I'm doing stuff very out of order. And I'll be adding in chapters here and there for information's sake.
Anyway, please review. Tell me what you think. I have one other chapter I am definitely uploading once I get it edited by my friend, and another that I'm debating. Should I leave you on a horrible cliffhanger, or not? I mean, you'll find out what happens later on, but... I don't know. What do you guys think? It'll be a relatively short chapter, and I'll either write that one, or write a different one in its place... The real question is, do you want to see Destiny meet Jack, or Violet meet Jack? Both will happen eventually, but it's more of when they happen. Which do you want to see first?
And I still need an opinion: past or present tense? Or a mix? Sprinkles888 said she didn't care, which is fine too. I want at least five opinions before I change anything.
As always, please review! I just heard about something called flames(?) and those are fine too, whatever they are. Ideas are also happily taken, and if I have not used your idea yet... Most likely, it's going to be a huge thing. In fact, all ideas are becoming important parts of the story. I just... OH! The things I know, and the things you don't... There will be a villain coming up soon... Or is he/she?
Tell me what you think of everything!
Ta for now!
