So... Sorry this is late. It wasn't ready for Easter, but it's ready now!

I won't talk too much up here. I just want to say happy Easter! I know it's extremely late, but better late than never, right?

Warning: ... I don't even know. Some cute stuff, some angst, some serious drama... Not too great in my opinion, but I always seem to get side-tracked in my writing and it never turns out the way it's supposed to.

Disclaimer: Jack Harkness: Hey guys, listen to this!

Martha: Today you get to read the Easter edition of Those Forgotten!

Amy: And it's going to be incredible.

Rory: But first, you should no that rotg does not belong to Fantasy.

Donna: And neither does Percy Jackson, though that'd be nice.

Rose: But she does own her OCs, so ask if you want to use one!

Ninth Doctor: It'll be fantastic!

Tenth Doctor: Allons-y!

Eleventh Doctor: Bow ties are cool. Aaron should've worn a bow tie.

River: Spoilers!

Me: I am so bad at giving Doctor Who characters their voice. Luckily I don't write the script. Nor do I own Doctor Who... Enjoy!

Children were running around through the garden, playing tag with the sons and daughters of other nobles. They were all laughing joyously as they hid behind bushes and benches, leapt over tiny ponds of fish and clear rivers, climbing up vines and trees.

A young teenager walks down a path bordered with flowers with an older man. The girl looks to be around ten, give or take. Her curly red hair falls down her shoulders in perfect waves, eyes a sparkling clear blue. An elegant blue and gold Spring dress sits comfortably on her shoulders, bottom just swaying against the ground as she walks, short sleeves allowing the sun to touch her flesh. Her lips are turned up in an intelligent smile as she speaks, discussing something in great detail.

The older man watches her, smiling softly as she talks. He looks to be somewhere in his thirties, his hair and thin mustache still black, but with strands of gray woven in. His brown eyes hold great intelligence and wisdom in their depths, and he carries a stack of books in his arms. His clothes are light and simple, like the girl's, though it's obvious they're both from the higher class.

"I do believe those other philosophers are wrong. They do rely on their senses, but what have their senses to do with truth? Methinks thou must find absolute truth, and all else must be considered as false. Then, once thine idea of truth is down to the bare minimum, thou can rebuild it with only pure truth, and that will be the absolute truth." The girl explains, moving her hands wildly in her excitement at the idea.

The older man smiles and looks to the trees that shelter them at this part of the trail. "Hast thou yet put that theory to test?" He asks kindly.

The girl frowns and looks away. "I have not had the time. My mother and father hath been trying to find me a suitable husband. I am nearing the age of marriage, and they wish to secure a courtship early."

The older man frowns and tilts his head slightly. "Thou speaketh like such is a bad thing. Thou art of high nobility; thine husband may be so great, he is next in line for the throne.

"But I wish not to marry!" She exclaims, stopping and turning to face the old man. "There is far too much in this world to see! I wish to travel the world, see what lies far beyond! There must be more to this life than being as wealthy as thee can become!"

The man sighs and lays a gentle hand on her shoulder. "There must, mustn't there? But nary a man hath found such a life, and being a woman as thou art, thine only chance is to marry and hope that thy husband wants such a life as well. Now, come. 'Tis getting late. Thou must return to thine chambers and ready for the Easter ball tonight."

The girl nods and allows the man to guide her back down the path towards a large stucco castle, where maids and servants rush about trying to prepare for the grand ball occurring that night.

Violet woke up with a slight start, but immediately closed her eyes again as the sun shown in through the opening on the ceiling. Why does Bunny have to insist on having natural light? It's impossible to sleep. Oh course, Bunny always got up early, so it made no difference to him.

Groaning, Violet pushed herself into a sitting position, rubbing at her eyes. It took her a moment to notice the note and basket sitting on her bedside table. When she did notice, she reached over and picked up the slip of paper, unfolding it and reading what it said.

Good, you've finally woken up. You need to learn what morning is, Sheila.

I'm out hiding eggs for the little ankle biters, and I won't be back until late afternoon. Aaron should be there, but he's probably still asleep as well. Wake him up and get to finding your own eggs, yeah?

-Bunny

For a moment, Violet just blinked. Then a wide smile spread across her face. She shot out of bed, hurrying to her wardrobe and pulling out a nice lavender dress with slightly frilled sleeves, its skirt slightly longer in the back so that it flowed behind her like a train when she walked. She brushed through her hair as best she could before grabbing her staff and the basket as she went outside. She stopped by a patch of flowers just outside her room/dugout/miniature-house-in-the-Warren. She didn't really know what to call it. It was where she stayed, and that was probably the best way to describe it.

She quickly put together a flower crown made up of purple and white daisies, columbine, and lavender, with some caltha palustris thrown in for good measure. She gently set it atop her head and felt them weave through her hair. They would easily stay nice throughout the entire day.

When she was pleased with her work, she took off again, this time not stopping as she made her way to Aaron's room. It wasn't that far to fly, and she walked into the room without knocking. Like she had expected, Aaron was sprawled out on his bed, no shirt on, snoring softly. Violet rolled her eyes and shook her head at him. She knew that any girl would die to be in her place, looking on at a sleeping, shirtless Aaron. But she just felt annoyance, and maybe a little sisterly love, though she would never admit to it.

Aaron had a basket and note beside his bed as well, which Violet quickly read through, snorting as Bunny wrote that he didn't expect Aaron to be the first up, but if he was, he should go wake Violet. The Spring spirit set the note down and moved to the bed where Aaron hadn't stirred in the slightest. For a moment, she just gazed down at him, then around the room. Her eyes landed on a pitcher of water and glass next to it. A smile flickered across her face, and she moved across the room to pick up the pitcher. She debated her next move for a moment, wondering if it was the best course of action. Eventually, she just shrugged, walked over to the bed, and through the water at Aaron's face.

He woke up with a very unmanly yelp (he would deny that he ever made such a sound later), arms flailing wildly before he eventually fell off the side of the bed in a tangle of bedsheets. Violet easily stepped out of the way during his episode, watching with an amused smile. He looked around wildly, but calmed when his eyes landed on Violet. He reached up to scrub at his face with his hands and groaned loudly.

"Seriously? You couldn't have just gently woken me up? 'Hey, Aaron, it's time to wake up. I made you some breakfast and laid out some clothes for you! Take us much time as you need, but you should hurry!'" He said mockingly, glaring at her when he finished.

She scoffed and shook her head. "The day I say something like that, you'll know the world has fallen to pieces." She reached into his wardrobe and pulled out some clothes, throwing them at him. "Now get dressed. We have an Easter egg hunt to go on."

Aaron finally seemed to notice Violet's dress. He moved his hands and stared at her for a few moments. Violet shifted uncomfortably as he took too much time to speak. When Violet had decided to just fly out of the room and wait for him to get ready, he pushed himself into a sitting position, untangling himself from some of the blankets.

"You shouldn't dress up. You actually look like a proper girl, and it's scary." He ducked and laughed as Violet threw a pillow at him.

"Oh, you brat!" She exclaimed, glaring at him for a moment before turning away and walking out the door, yelling at him to get dressed one last time. He just laughed as she closed the curtain in the doorway.

She sat on the ground, moving her hand over the ground and making different flowers sprout up as she waited for Aaron to get ready. When he finally came out, she was surprised to see that he'd actually dressed up some. He wore a light blue dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, the top unbuttoned slightly, but she knew it wasn't because he was full of himself or anything. It was just because it was warm out and he didn't want to overhead. He was wearing a pair of comfortable jeans and dress shoes, no tie and his hair still slightly disheveled. But that was just him. Even dressed up, that would never change.

He threw something at her and she caught it without thinking, looking down to find it was her purple and silver basket. "Don't go leaving your stuff around my room, now. I don't like keeping other people's messes." He teased, his blue and gold basket held in his own hand.

She rolled her eyes and smirked at him. "What, wouldn't want me as a roommate?" She taunted, walking towards the main dugout without looking to see if Aaron was following. She knew he would.

"No, not a chance. You're a complete slob; the world should be thankful you don't have many items of your own to throw everywhere." He retaliated, a smile on his face.

"That's rich, coming from you. I don't think your room's been clean since you moved in." She said, raising an eyebrow at him.

He rolled his eyes and laughed. "It's not dirty. I know where everything is."

Violet raised an eyebrow at him, unconvinced. "Oh yeah? That doesn't mean it's clean."

This banter went on until they reached their destination and got breakfast together. Actually, it was more like brunch at that point, but they didn't really pay attention, eating quickly so they could get on to the main event of the day: the egg hunt Bunny set up for them and any other spirit who wished to participate.

Now, Bunny usually set up hunts for spirits in different places so that it was individualized. A few spirits who were friends could hunt together and challenge each other to find more eggs than them, as could a few other spirits. They could all start whenever they were ready that way, and no one would miss the chance to find eggs. The one at the Warren was specifically set up for Aaron and Violet, but they were happy to let anyone join them if they wanted to. Not that people usually did, but they were very welcoming.

As they went to the designated area to start the search, they found a ring of golems set up. They were there to offer help if absolutely necessary, and also to help specify the area to search. One stepped forward as the two came into the area. It would start the hunt and time it so that neither had advantage over the other.

Aaron bowed low like a gentleman would. "May the best spirit win." He said with a smirk on his face.

Violet smirked back, tilting her chin up in a playfully arrogant way. "Oh, I plan to." She said with the same smirk.

A red light lit up on the top of the golem's head with a beep. It went out, a yellow light appearing next to it, the same beep sounding. As the yellow light disappeared and a green light lit up, the beep sounded slightly higher and the two took off in opposite directions, rushing to find more eggs than their friend.

Violet flew through the trees, eyes scanning every crack and crevice. She scanned the area carefully, peaking under bushes and moving flowers aside. Her basket was filling quickly, but she knew she wasn't even half done. If her basket got to the point where it couldn't hold anymore, she could return to the ring of golems and lay her eggs with her designated golem to be protected. Bunny had planned the hunt out well, and Violet imagined it was best in the Warren because of that.

She was so focused on her searching that she didn't notice the boy until she ran into him.

She yelped as she fell to the ground, squeezing her eyes shut and holding her head tightly in pain. She immediately pulled back on the flowers, keeping them from shooting up and attacking the threat. She could feel the earth fighting against her, trying to protect her, but she kept it subdued.

"The heck... Watch where you're going, will you?!" An angry voice exclaimed, and Violet forced her eyes open to focus on the boy sitting in front of her, clutching his nose. The red blood slipping through is fingers was a stark contrast to his too-pale skin, white and yellow clothing, white hair with black wrapping around it... Well, it was pretty much a stark contrast to him in general. His eyes were squeezed shut from the pain, and also possibly from anger.

Violet gaped at him. "Watch where I'm going?! If you had been watching where you were going, you could have easily gotten out of the way!" She yelled back, pushing herself to her feet and leaning against a tree as a dizzy spell hit her. Great, the idiot probably gave me a concussion!

The boy's eyes flew open, and Violet frowned as she found him staring at her very intently, mouth gaping ever so slightly. His hand still covered his nose, but for the most part, it was forgotten. Violet glared at him and brushed off her dress, grumbling at the fact that is was now covered in dirt.

She yelped as the boy was suddenly standing, and standing very close to her at that. She tried shifting away, but his hand reached out and grabbed hers as he leaned over to kiss it. He smiled up at her with a smile that irked and disgusted Violet to no end.

"I apologize, my lady, I didn't realize I was in the presence of someone so beautiful." He purred, and Violet's eyes widened. The heck... Is he hitting on me?! "My name is Jabez. And may I have the pleasure of knowing yours?" Oh my gosh... He is!

For a moment, Violet could only stare mouth gaping. Jabez frowned and stood tall yet again, looking very much annoyed. "Come along now, I know my looks are distracting, but I don't have all day."

Violet felt her face turn red in anger and she huffed, yanking her hand back and crossing her arms. "You big-headed prat! How vain can you be?!" She yelled angrily, reaching down to grab her basket and frowning as she saw all the cracks in the eggs. They were squirming uncomfortably, giving off pained cries, and Violet felt even more angry.

"Excuse me?" He exclaimed, staring at her like she'd grown a second head. "I don't believe I heard you correctly. I am the most wonderful person you'll ever meet, I have every right to think highly of myself."

She glared at him fiercely, holding the basket close to her chest. "You're a jerk who just hurt a bunch of innocent eggs and thinks I'll swoon at the sight of him." She said spitefully.

He snorted, crossing his arms and smirking. "You should be. I have a feeling there's something wrong with you, since you're not." He replied haughtily.

Violet had had enough. Before Jabez could react, Easter lilies shot out of the ground, wrapping around him in seconds and dragging him down. He yelled and fought against them, but a stem wrapping around his mouth stopped muffled the noise.

"Now listen very carefully." Violet said slowly, carefully. "I don't care who you are or what you've done. You will treat me and anyone else with respect. Nothing gives you the right to speak the way you just did, or act the way you did for that matter."

Jabez was finally able to get the stem out of his mouth and waste a second in going into a rant. "I said nothing untrue, and I acted quite politely! You should feel absolutely honored to be in my presence!" He yelled.

That was when he made his mistake.

He jerked his arm against the flowers wrapped around it just a little too hard. He grinned triumphantly as the stem tore and his arm was freed, but his happiness only lasted a second as Violet screamed in pain.

The poor girl collapsed to the ground, arms wrapped around her body tightly as she screamed and sobbed in pain. The world was pain. Pure, undiluted pain. Another tear, and her screams renewed themselves, louder than before. Another, and her throat was so torn from the screams that it came out as a ragged cry. She wanted to call for help, but she couldn't. She couldn't produce any words, her mind just wouldn't let her. All she could do was scream in pain.

A gentle hand was holding her face. That was the first thing she could actual focus on. She held on to that thought, trying to use it to distract herself from the pain. She could hear a voice as well, calling her name, but it was soft and far away. She wanted to know what the voice was saying, was incredibly curious to know. She reached for the voice, and slowly it became louder, closer.

"Violet? Violet, can you hear me? Please, please say something..." She knew that voice... She'd heard it so many times before. It belonged to someone she knew well. It belonged to... To...

Aaron. It belonged to Aaron. That was it. She moaned softly, and a second hand reached up to brush through her hair, push it out of her face. She slowly opened her eyes, blinking to focus.

"Violet? Are you with me?" Aaron asked, carefully pulling her into a semi-sitting position where she was leaning back against him.

She blinked slowly up at him, not really being able to focus on his face or words. "Aaron?" She said slowly, having a difficult time saying the one word.

Aaron frowned, eyebrows pulling together in worry. Violet couldn't help but smile at that. "You're so cute when you're worried. Your eyebrows get all scrunched together." She muttered quietly.

Aaron frowned, reaching out to brush a strand of hair out of her face.

"Is she alright? What happened?" A worried voice asked behind Aaron. Violet blinked, trying to focus on the figure as Aaron turned and glared.

"Would you just go already? Haven't you caused enough trouble for today?" Aaron growled, arms tightening around Violet. She frowned at his tone of voice, letting her head slump against his chest.

"Aaron, I'm tired." She muttered, eyes drifting shut for a moment before opening again.

Aaron looked back at her worriedly, then turned back to glare at the other figure. "Just go." He said quietly, not waiting for a response before returning his attention to Violet.

"I just wanted to know her name..." The voice murmured. Then there was the sound of feathers ruffling and a bird flying away. Violet figured whoever it was, was gone.

"Come on, let's get you to bed." Aaron said, slipping his arms under Violet's knees and shoulders before standing, shifting her slightly so that her head was leaning against his chest.

"You're always gonna be here when I need you, aren't you?" Violet slurred, smiling and snuggling against Aaron's chest as he began walking to Violet's room.

"Always. I will never let anyone hurt you, Violet. I will always keep you safe, and I will always be there when you need me." He whispered, and Violet was surprised by how serious he sounded. She didn't have the chance to respond, though, as she slipped into the sweet bliss of sleep.

Ahem.

Well.

That turned out a lot differently than I thought it would.

I swear, that was supposed to be a super sweet and cute and fun Easter story, but... It, um... It got a bit angsty towards then end. Sorry about that.

But hey, at least I introduced Jabez to Aaron and Violet, right?

... Right?

... Don't hate me, you knew it would happen eventually.

But don't hate Jabez just yet! Things aren't always as they seem... I mean, sometimes they are, but sometimes they aren't! Just wait, things are going to get so much worse...

Oh, and did anyone catch my Percy Jackson quote? Please tell me you did. Because it is some awesome Percabeth. I ship them so hard...

Anyway, please, PLEASE review! Seriously, one person reviewed (thanks, Sprinkles888! You're awesome!). Is it because I'm posting on weekdays? I know it isn't great, but it's better than waiting for the next weekend. I don't care when or where you review. Review any chapter, at any time! Say whatever you think, whether you hate it or love it! Do you want shorter stories? And specific characters? I have gotten requests for stories and characters, and those requests are not to be denied! They are coming up, trust me! Just, please don't give up on me! I have big plans for this story, and I really want to reach the end! And I want people to like it... Just, tell me what you think, please? Say whatever you want, I don't care!
