HAHA! IT UPLOADED! and this time it was COMPLETE! and holy jamallama the amount of times this went missing on my computer was not funny. i almost gave up on this story, and i was about to if it didn't upload properly...but IT DID! so YEAH! let's try and freaking update this damn story every other week at the least...because people are really getting on my case about updating every day on 'Reborn into a Mafia world'. Then theres the 'passing day's' one...and 'Dragon soul' (which im currently on break from).

anyways, here you go and sorry for the REALLY late update. hopefully I didn't lose you guy's.

Chapter 5: Levi and Eren.

It seems that news travels quickly about my leaving early. It's been two day's since I told Eren about my transfer, and each day I caught glimpse of levi around the training grounds. We would keep each other company while he was here, it gave me something to do when everyone else was training. I thought about asking him what he was doing to be here so often, but he never told me, only saying that a brat like myself wouldn't understand. It was probably to get everything arranged on time, but the graduation date isn't until 6 months or so. So there was no actual rush, but I guess it was so no other corps could get me into their ranks. Once I entered the mess hall everyone was starring at me. Some with awe, and amazement, Others with hatred and jealousy. Some didn't seem to care but gave me congratulations anyways. I ignored them all when they started to question me about which corps I was going to go into. 'humans are so annoying' I thought as I took a sip of the milk Eren gave me. Speaking of Eren, he has been acting weird so far today. He would complain slightly about something, or try and lecture me on how we shouldn't be sleeping in the same bed. But yet...nothing. He didn't even say anything this time. 'maybe he really is mad at me for leaving him?' I thought with a frown.

"Your leaving?!" came Mikasa's voice along with a slam of his hands on the table. Quirking a brow I looked up at her and was slightly surprised to see her frowning. Armin was next to her with Eren on her other side. I glanced at them and Armin just shrugged his shoulders as Eren avoided eye-contact. 'Eren? Are you really mad at me for leaving?' Sighing I looked back at her to see she was still looking at me.

"...yes...I thought it was clear with all the cadets talking about it." I said with a sigh. "I was sure that you were smarter then that, Mikasa." I got up and started to head out, my three friends falling in behind me. "Is there a reason as to why you seem very mad? I'd have thought you'd be happy with me out of the way." it was silent after that, humming I looked at them and I could safely say that Mikasa was conflicted on whether or not to say I was right. So I accompanied them to the training grounds where Shardis was, he greeted me before he started to yell at the rest. Seeing as I didn't need to do anything, I stood there observing as everyone else had to start running with weights on them. I chuckled at the competitiveness of Eren and Jean, they were ahead of everyone trying to out do the other.

"Corporal Levi is here. Seems like he's here a lot these day's, probably good reason to be." Shardis informed me. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow as he shrugged his shoulders with a small smile. "Don't look at me like that Strife, I assume he's here to check up on you."

"...check up on me?" I stated unsure.

"Well I would imagine he was here so no other company came to steal you away." Again, he shrugged and gave me a look, so I huffed and thought about it. 'I could stay here, watch the others train and do nothing but that. Or I could go and talk to Levi, and see if he is willing to at least do something with me.' so I weighed my options. Which were very obvious, so turning to Shardis I intended to find Levi.

"Commander Shardis, do you know where Levi is?" I questioned as he smirked knowingly at me. I furrowed my brows at that look, what was he looking at?

"So, you're on a first name basis with the Corporal?" he asked with a hint of amusement. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yes, yes I am." I sighed out with an eye roll, "Now then, about the whereabouts of Levi?" I questioned- and oh by the goddam maker why is he grinning? I narrowed my eyes at him as Shardis seemed to be insinuating something.

"alright, alright." he sighed, "He said he would be near the Maneuver Gear training grounds." satisfied I nodded my head once and, taking one last look at Eren who was still avoiding eye-contact, left to go meet Levi. As I walked I tried to see why Eren was acting so cold, sighing I shook my head free from that thought, looking around as I past other cadets with a bored expression. Some were purposely lagging behind, not wanting to run since Shardis wasn't watching them.

"...Human's are so lazy..." I muttered under my breath.

"Of course their fucking lazy, what the hell do you expect from them?" turning around I saw levi walking up to me, his eyes on the lagging cadets with a scowl, making me 'hm'. I looked him up and down, he was wearing the uniform but without the coat and maneuver gear. 'he really is short.' I thought with a chuckle, no way was I going to say that out loud and be chased again. Even if he didn't have the gear on, I felt that he could still put up a good chase. Levi noticed my staring at him and frown, "What are you looking at?" instead of answering I walked over to him and bent down, I'm very sure I was breaking the 'space bubble' that human's seemed to have, but I didn't care. Even when levi started to narrow his eyes at me. "Kazu, what are you-?"

"Levi's really handsome." I interrupted as I grasped his chin and tilted it from side to side. Honestly I never thought I could find anyone else attractive besides Eren. 'well, I was wrong.' I thought with a smirk while watching levi's eyes widen as he stared at me. Then I had to step back quickly when levi tried to kick me again. Now he was growling at me, "...I know it's suppose to be threatening and all, but that's adorable. Like a small animal." I mumbled to myself, but again it seems levi heard me. Because his face became more feral as he charged at me. My heart thumped wildly either from adrenalin or something else. He swiped at me as I dodged to the side with a small smile. "Yes, like a small animal." I said with certainty. This just made him angrier.

"Kazu! Stop moving and let me hit you, you shitty brat!" he snarled as he tried to round house kick me. I grabbed his leg before it made contact and pulled him forward, and grabbed him by his waist pulling him against my body.

"hn? You shouldn't call people shitty." I whispered as he growled again. Ah, he's so fun to tease.

"LET. ME. GO."

"No."

"BRAT!"

"Kazu."

"Go fuck yourself!"

"I'd rather do that to you or Eren."

"You-! Wait, WHAT?!"

"Preferably Eren since he would seem more willing then you."

Now he was starring at me, at first I thought he was angry at me. But then I saw that he was getting angry at something else. For a moment I saw that jealous expression that was always on mikasa's face whenever a girl got withing a few feet of him, but then it disappeared. He didn't seem to be trying to get away from the close contact of our body's, which made me curious. "Heichou is adorable." I said and was pleasantly surprised when I saw a hint of blush on his face. Still he didn't try and move away so I pushed us closer together, I could feel his body heat very clearly now. And then I smelt something, I leaned into his neck, I could hear his pulse pick up, and sniffed slightly and was amused at what I found. 'Hormones...Is he enjoying the closeness?' yes, thats what I smelt. Funny how I don't find the smell of his hormones disgusting like others. "Levi..."

"..." he was giving me the silent treatment. Well, seeing as he's not seemingly against my closeness I'll just do what I wanted to. So with that decided I hoisted him up until we were to eye level and kissed him. It was a quick and harmless kiss, but I got no reaction from it. 'well that was disappointing.' I thought and sighed at the lack of reaction. And I was about to let go of him to, but then his scent got stronger then he grabbed the back of my head by my pony tail, before he smashed our lips together again. I grunted in surprise, but that must have irritated him since I wasn't doing anything. "Strife, stop standing there like a goddamn idiot and kiss back." he demanded. So I shoved my surprise to the side and started to kiss him back like he told me to. It was very demanding as he kept biting, licking and sucking my lip, telling me to open my mouth. So I did, and levi immediately stuck his tongue in with a small groan, but I wasn't going to let him lead. With a growl we were fighting for dominance, his nails started to dig into my scalp while I pushed us against a near by building so no one can see us. Not like I cared or anything if someone DID see, but levi didn't seem the type who would let anyone live if they saw or something, then again I am basing this off from our little chase game because I commented on his height. I grinned when he tensed up after I bit his tongue lightly, and using that I was able to take over. He fought back for a while but eventually submitted with a barely audible groan. After a while we had to break away for air.

"Levi..."

"what?" he huffed out while starring up at me.

"What was that?" I questioned.

"A fucking kiss, what else?" he retorted. I scoffed at that and licked his swollen lips, I felt him shiver slightly which made me grin.

"Well, yes it was." I said, "But I was asking about what suddenly brought you to kiss me?" I asked while pressing levi up to the wall with my body. I could tell he got a little aroused by the kiss, how? Well I AM pressed up against him. So I can feel said arousal to know I wasn't lying.

"You kissed me first, I was just returning the gesture." he said while taking a deep breath, his hip's slightly twitched when I moved mine.

"So, if I kiss you then you'll kiss back." I stated more then questioned, he 'hm'd in answer. 'now isn't this interesting?' I thought while pressing my lips to his to see if it was true. And it was because he pressed back, 'ah, so he was telling the truth.' I thought in wonder while shifting my body, practically pressing all my weight onto his smaller form. He twitched again, and took deep breath while closing his eyes.

"...Kazu, move." he commanded while- I think- subconsciously moving his hip against mine, so not really knowing what he wanted, I'm just assuming that this is what he wants from his sent, I moved my hip's making him squirm slightly with a steel glare at me when he opened his eyes. "Kazu Strife, you know what I meant!" he growled lowly with a hint of a warning tone to it.

"Whatever you say, Heichou." I whispered into levi's ear and stepped back. Letting levi slide down to the floor with slightly ragged breath. I crouched in front of him, tilting my head to the side, watching him to see what humanity's strongest will do. Not surprising he tried to kick me, so I rolled out of the way with a sigh. "You're so violent. But thats what makes you interesting, Levi."

"Tch..." he looked to the side while subconsciously touching his lips. '…I want to kiss him again...' I thought while shifting uncomfortably. It would be a lie if I wasn't effected by that kiss either.

"...do you want to stay here until you've calmed down?" I questioned as I shuffled to sit next to him. He looked at me then to the floor with a nod, leaning back onto the wall and resting his arms on his knees. '...no, I think I want to do more then just kiss him.' I honestly am thinking more like a human these past few day's since I've found levi. Well at least I'm not...no wait...i am acting on those instincts.

Damn.

"Did you know you took my first kiss?"

"What?" he asked with raised brows, he clearly doesn't believe me at all. I shrugged my shoulders. "...Never been a brat's first kiss before." he muttered to himself making me laugh lightly, and making him smirk a bit.

Sighing I closed my eyes and laid down on the ground. "...Levi, what are you here for today?"

"Is it so hard to believe that I'm just here for no fucking reason?" he questioned to which I deadpanned him.

"Yes, levi you hate wasting you're time on anything."

"Tch..." he looked to the sky, knowing I was right and that he was so obvious. He stayed silent for the longest time, making me wonder if he was even going to answer, but he did "...you're date has been moved up. You're leaving earlier." he said, making me look over to him in slight confusion. "We decided that we can't afford to wait a few day's, the other corp's have started to move once they found out that you had chosen to join us. Their starting to ask in favors from those in high places." He explained. I growled at that, "I told you they wouldn't let a cadet like yourself be dragged into the recon corps. They think we'll lead you to your death, and would rather have you in the inner wall protecting that fucking lard we call a king."

"I never called that thing king."

"Neither have I."

"When am I leaving?"

"Today."

"What?" I gasped out. I didn't even get a whole day with Eren?! I haven't even gotten the chance to talk to him! I need to find out he's been so distant with me! I stood up abruptly and started to pace, I can just interrupted his practice to talk to him. 'Shardis will have my head for that...' I thought with concern. I stopped in my track's and made a decision, "I need to see Eren." I said before turning and heading towards the men barracks, I decided to wait for him to come back and change on the break time. I heard levi coming up to walk besides me, I glanced at him and he seemed irritated.

Made it there on record time and had time to spare. Once we got inside levi looked around the place and had this strange disgusted look on his face. I stared at him for a moment, then looked around to see what he was so disgusted by. Sure there were a few article of clothes from training, and some dust and trash, but it wasn't that bad. Shrugging it off as him probably just getting use to the room- hes a corporal, he has his OWN room- I went to my shared bed with Eren, sat down, and took my boots off. Once off I sat there and wondered what I should say to Eren. Should I just ask him straight out as to why he's been avoiding me? Or do I coax it out of him? "Levi, how long do I have?"

"An hour or so, then we have to leave to the recon barracks." he answered, heading towards were I was sitting, with a small twitch of his hand. I found that strange.

"Levi are you alright?"

"Fuck no." he answered without missing a beat. This made me chuckle slightly as he sat down next to me, sighing deeply he looked at me with a raised brow. "What are you so worried about?"

"Hn, well...I'm trying to find out what to say to Eren when he comes back...He has not been himself since I've told him about my transfer." I told him while tapping my chin in thought. Levi hummed in response with a frown. That look crossed his features for a brief second before it was gone as soon as he shook his head. I looked at him from the corner of my eyes, bringing back that surprisingly passionate kiss from earlier. Licking my lips as I remembered how levi tasted: of some type of tea, toast from the morning no doubt, and surprisingly cigarette's. 'I didn't know he smoked, he doesn't really seem the kind to.' I thought with another lick. Then I remembered that levi said he wold kiss back because I kissed him.

"Would you stop licking your lips?" levi said with slight irritation.

"You were paying attention to that?" I questioned while laying down. He didn't answer, all he did was stare at me with narrowed eyes. I chuckled at him, he's like a cat. "Alright, whatever Heichou want's."

"...This place is fucking filthy." he muttered while glaring at a pile of dirty clothes in the corner, I know for a fact that those are connies, with all the hate in the world.

"What do you expect from human barracks?" I mumbled back. I swear lavi has incredible hearing since he looked at me with furrow brows.

"There you go again with that, 'Humans' talk." he said while turning to face me. "You say human's like your not fucking one of them."

"..." well that's not good.

"Kazu." he said with a glare for me not answering him. I looked towards the door to avoid his stare, I guess he got impatient because he sat on my stomach while staring me down.

"Ugh, Levi is so heavy..." I commented resulting in levi growling at me again. "...and a cat..." then he punched me, didn't hurt, with a blush on his face. "Levi's blushing, and it's adorable." oh, I think I made him mad since he got off me and made to get off the bed. For some odd reason I didn't want levi to leave, so I shot my hand out and grasped his wrist. I was able to pull him down onto the bed, and lay across his stomach so he couldn't move. Now seeing as he was smaller then me, he struggled while cussing trying to get me off.

"Kazu! Get off!" he hissed while pushing at me. I wasn't budging at all and it made me laugh as I watched him.

"Kazu?" I snapped my head to the door to see Eren standing there with a surprised face, he was sweating from the exercise no doubt and starring at me. 'wait hes staring at levi...' I thought in realization when I followed his eye's, and found levi starring back at him with a challenging look. I briefly wondered what the heated stares was about, but shrugged it off as I rolled off of levi and got up.

"Eren, I need to talk to you." I stated while walking over to him. He took his eyes off of levi and looked up at me and nodded his head. "Eren I'm leaving sooner then I thought."

"Eh?" he said with wide eyes, his mouth gaping open for a few seconds before he shut it, and looked to the ground. "O-Oh...uhm..." he shifted his feet slightly as he glanced towards levi, who was a few feet behind me eyeing Eren up and down with his usual frown, then to me. "how long do you have?"

"...half an hour." at this Eren was completely shocked as he looked up at me. Then he started to stutter about how that was soon!

"Kazu," levi said getting both our attention's, but he was ignoring Eren and putting his full attention to me, 'What the hell?' now levi's acting weird. "I'll go on ahead. Meet me at the horse stable's when your done here."

"Hn." I nodded in acknowledgment before he left the barrack's. Then I turned back to Eren, "Eren, why have you been avoiding me?"

"W-WHAT?" he squeaked. I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned against the wall, frowning at him. He flinched while looking to the floor, a blush coloring his cheek's and mumbling something that made my ear twitch.

"...Eren...Do you hate me for leaving?" I questioned a little saddened by the thought of me being right.

"N-NO!" he yelled suddenly desperately, startling me. Been a while since I've heard him yell like that. He looked panicked and on the verge of punching something, "Kazu-! NO I DON'T HATE YOU! I-I-IT'S JUST-...I-..." he started pulling at his hair and pacing in his spot.

"Then why have you been-?"

"B-BECAUSE I-...I..." he started loudly with a determined look, that started to wilt as he got quieter. I raised an eyebrow at that as he took a deep breath and hardened his look as he took a few steps to be in front of me. He stared at me for a long time, trying to get his words into place before he opened his mouth, "Kazu, It's because I didn't want to be in the way." he said making me furrow my brows in confusion.

"...Explain..." I drawled out as I tried to figure out what he could be getting in the way of.

"Well, I thought that you may change your mind since it's only you going. Don't look at me like that! I know you kazu!" he snapped at me when I did look at him like he was crazy, "so I tried to distance myself so you wouldn't change your mind on a great opportunity!"

"Eren..." I mumbled, touched that he'd do that. So I hugged him tightly, earning a yelp from him and a beat red face. "Eren if you just told me that, then you know I would have listened."

"W-Well...yeah, but...I don't think..." he mumbled into my shoulder. "never mind...Kazu you're an idiot." he huffed out.

"hn...We wont see each other for quite some time." I mumbled while easing up on the hug so Eren had enough room to move around. When he looked up I put our foreheads together and sighed, his face became REALLY red. "...Cute." I muttered making him gap at me with his face becoming even redder at the comment. Then he started to fumble over his own words before just burring his face into my neck. "I should probably leave before Levi get's mad and chases me with his swords again." I muttered before lifting Eren's head up and kissing his cheek. Now he was just petrified with the deepest blush I have ever seen. I let go and turned around to leave, "I'll see you in the corp's...Eren." and with that I left.
