Arizona woke up the next morning with a smile on her face until she reached behind her to find nothing but cold sheets. Immediate panic set in and she whipped around to see for her own eyes that, no, Callie was not there. Her panic lessened when she saw that there was a note on her pillow.

Arizona –

I'll try to get back before you wake up, but in case I don't I left this note to make sure you don't panic because I know you will. Stop. Take a breath. Okay, now lay back down completely and spread out to keep my place in that tiny dorm room bed warm. I went to get us breakfast so stay cuddled up in bed until I get back. I had a great time last night and I can't wait to see you.

Xo Callie

Just as Arizona finished reading the note she heard the door to her suite open and close and then her bedroom door did the same. Callie was there smiling at her as she walked towards her bedside with a bag and tray of two coffees in her hands.

"I was hoping you'd still be asleep when I got back. I didn't want you to wake up on your own."

Arizona hadn't known it was possible for her to smile as hard as she was right now and Callie was sure she had never seen anything as heart stopping-beautiful as Arizona with her messy, sleep worn curls, sparkling blue eyes, and the smile Arizona was giving her made her feel like the only girl in the world.

"Depending what's in that bag, I might be willing to forgive you."

Arizona was now sitting up in bed against the wall while Callie sat on the end of her bed and placed the bag on Arizona's lap and the coffees on the stand next to her bed.

"Well, it's not much. I just went to your favorite café and got your favorite coffee and pound cake."

"Mmm I love your pound cake. You're the best. You know that?"

"Anything for you."

Arizona reached her hand up and cupped Callie's cheek, rubbing her thumb across it slowly. Callie leaned into the touch and after a moment turned her head to lay a soft kiss on Arizona's hand. Callie pulled back just long enough to get completely on the bed to straddle Arizona's hips. Callie leaned forward slowly and tucked a few curls behind her ear, cupped her cheek, and pulled Arizona closer to seal their kiss. It was slow and soft and held no reservations or insecurities. Callie started to push into her a little more until Arizona pulled back.

"Mmm. As much as I love doing that so, so much, I'm actually pretty hungry and we're squishing our breakfast."

"Oops. Sorry!"

Placing a kiss on Arizona's neck Callie rolled onto her side and put her head on Arizona's shoulder. She placed light kisses on Arizona's shoulder and collarbone before intertwining their fingers and putting her head back down. Callie could feel the vibrations from Arizona's chest as she started to talk.

"How are you feeling?"

"I feel really, really good Arizona."

"Good. I know I was harsh with you and stupid, but I was so afraid to lose you."

"We both let our emotions get the best of us. We need to talk things out with each other. It can be dangerous when two people care so much about each other."

Arizona gave Callie a quick kiss on her temple and took out their breakfast. As she was chewing a piece she looked a little apprehensively at their intertwined fingers.

"So, you're not having any second thoughts? Not afraid of girl cooties?"

She tried to keep her tone light and teasing and she was half expecting to feel Callie tense up against her, but she didn't. Callie's silence made Arizona nervous so she stuffed a piece of pound cake in her mouth. She felt her hand being squeezed and looked into deep brown eyes looking back at her. The intensity was intimidating so she just put another piece of pound cake in her mouth and gave a small hesitant smile.

"I freaked out last night to Cristina; like verging on panic attack freak out. I think I terrified her when I started going on about how nervous I was about being with a woman, and sex with a woman, and being with a woman. And so Cristina took me out to get "experience" with women, and I danced with women, talked, got flirted with, got some phone numbers, but it didn't feel right." Arizona's face was crestfallen and her hand in Callie's went slack. She looked down and put the last of the pound cake in her mouth waiting for her world to come down around her. "And then I saw you and realized it didn't feel right because I don't want to be with a woman or a man, I want to be with you. You're my best friend, and now, if you'll let me, I get to have every part of you. I want all of you. I want to experience all there is in life with you."

Arizona looked up and saw nothing but sincerity, honesty, and hope for the future looking back at her. Her still full mouth dropped open a little as she looked at Callie in shock. Last night had given her hope but she wasn't expecting Callie to say anything like what she just had.

"You do?"

Callie chuckled as Arizona closed her mouth and swallowed the cake.

"I do. Even if you'll always eat all of our breakfast like you just did."

Arizona looked down at the empty wrapper and back up at Callie with a shy smile.

"Sorry. I was nervous and I can be a bit of an emotional eater."

Callie faked a gasp. "Really? I never would have guessed." Arizona nudged her shoulder.

"Just because we're dating now doesn't mean you can be a sarcastic jerk." As soon as she used the word "dating" they both smiled wildly at each other. "And, just so you know, I haven't had sex with a girl either. I may have a bit more experience than you in the area, but I never let it get that far with anyone. This is going to sound so cliché, or naïve, or corny or silly or, or, I don't know, I just…" Arizona stopped and looked away so Callie gave her hand an encouraging squeeze. "I just, I wanted to wait for someone really special because it's something you can only give one person as long as you live." She looked back over to Callie who was staring at her wide-eyed, but was making no attempt to talk. "I know, I know it's stupid right? But now that I've found you I'm glad that-"

Before she could finish Callie tossed the bakery bag to the floor and was again straddling Arizona's hip and kissing her. It took Arizona a few seconds to come around from shock before she started kissing Callie back. She had never been kissed like this before, with so much force and passion. Callie couldn't stop herself if she wanted to, and she definitely didn't want to. She had somehow been able to keep herself under control while Arizona was talking, but as soon as she hinted that she'd want to give herself to Callie when it would mean so much to her, she couldn't stop herself. Callie ground down on Arizona and started kissing down her neck.

"Oh god, baby that feels so good."

Arizona could feel Callie smile into the kisses and gasped as Callie started sucking on her collarbone. Arizona's hips were pushing up and she grabbed the back of Callie's neck, gripping her hair hard and brought their lips back together. They were so wrapped up in each other that they didn't realize the door had opened until they heard a throat clearing.

"So sorry to interrupt the battle of tongues you guys have going on, but Tim will be up any minute and, Callie I don't think he'd appreciate you mauling his baby sister."

"Teddy!"

Callie collapsed onto Arizona's side and buried her face in Arizona's neck and groaned in embarrassment while Arizona rubbed her back soothingly.

"Well you're welcome for the favor Arizona. Geez. No appreciation. Just because I'm so amazing I'll go intercept him and we'll wait in the car while you two get ready for lunch. You've got ten minutes before I send Tim up." When Teddy was about to close the door behind her she turned back to her friends with a smirk on her face. "You might want to cover up that nice new hickey!"

Arizona threw a pillow at Teddy, but Teddy had already closed the door and left.

"Sometimes she really makes me wish I got a single room…We should get up and get ready…Calliope?" Callie squeezed Arizona around the waist and burrowed her face deeper into Arizona's neck causing Arizona to giggle. "Callie? Honey we have to get up."

Callie looked up into Arizona's eyes with a terrified look on her face.

"Lunch with your brother? The big strong guy whose little sister I went psycho jealous on, and was making out with, and oh my god, gave a hickey to!"

"Did I mention he's a Marine?"

Callie scrambled over Arizona, got out of bed, and started pacing while talking to herself in Spanish. Arizona knew she shouldn't be, but she was enjoying how flustered and panicked Callie was. It was cute and endearing, plus the Spanish? Wow was that sexy even when in a panicked rant. She enjoyed it for another minute before standing up and stopping Callie by putting her hands on her shoulders and holding her still. Arizona kissed her quickly and Callie's posture relaxed immediately.

"Hey I was just kidding. Tim is going to love you and I think you'll like him too. It's just lunch. He'll be leaving later and I'm guessing we'll be spending even more time together now...alone... So it'll be good to spend time with Teddy too. You don't have to come, but I would really love to have lunch with my three favorite people."

"Of course I'm coming Arizona."

Arizona raised an eyebrow and a smirk played on her pink lips.

"Not yet you're not." Arizona reached behind Callie and pinched her butt.

"Arizona!" Callie wasn't used to this side of Arizona but she loved it already. Arizona gave Callie a tender kiss but Callie started laughing into it and pushed Arizona's shoulder. "Dirty, dirty mind." Arizona leaned back in and kissed Callie again. When she tried to deepen the kiss but Callie broke it and walked over to Arizona's dresser. "We have lunch now, remember?"

There was no attitude to her words or resentment, just a bit of playfulness and a smile. Arizona went over and kissed her on the cheek.

"Thank you."
