It had been about a week and a half since the first time Arizona and Callie kissed. They spent that weekend and the next few class days inseparable, Thanksgiving break had come and they had to go their separate ways. While Callie stayed locally in Miami, Arizona had to head up to Boston where her parents ended up after years of moving from place to place. The only silver lining of this was that Tim was still home and they'd be able to spend the holiday together as a family. They weren't sure how many they'd have with all of them until Tim left so it was important to them all to cherish what they had while they had it. It would technically only be three full and two half days apart, but that was far longer than either of them felt they could handle. When Callie had driven Arizona to the airport they hugged so tight and kissed so desperately they kept running out of breath. Teddy's parents had booked her different flights than Arizona so Owen and Cristina had driven her earlier and she got to avoid standing around during their goodbyes. Callie and Arizona's breaks were surprisingly similar. They both spent part of their time with their sibling, part with their parents and other extended family, and a whole lot of time texting, calling, and video chatting with each other. Neither told their parents much about the other because they hadn't actually established what they were to each other. This was a lot harder for Arizona since Tim knew about and had met Callie. Tim had also told their parents all about her and the time they spent together when he was down in Miami, so naturally they were curious about the gorgeous Latina their daughter was so enthralled by. Callie told her family that she and Cameron had broken up and when they asked who she was constantly talking to she told them about her "friend" Arizona.
Now it was Sunday night and Callie was waiting for Arizona at baggage claim. Arizona's flight was scheduled to have gotten in fifteen minutes ago so Callie was searching the new wave of people moving towards her to exit the airport. She saw a head of blonde curls break from the crowd and then she saw those bright blue eyes that she was falling so deeply for. She saw a flash of dimples in front of her and before she knew it Arizona jumped in her arms and wrapped her arms around her neck and her legs around her waist. Callie quickly braced herself and wrapped her arms around Arizona to hold her up. Arizona peppered Callie's neck with kisses and worked her way to her lips where she pecked her lips a bunch of times desperately before giving Callie a calmer, languid kiss. Arizona brought her hand to cup Callie's cheek and as their kisses slowed down they grew hotter and deeper. Arizona tightened her legs and ground herself against Callie's front while Callie groaned into their kiss and started kissing down to the base of Arizona's neck.
"Zona I missed you so much."
Arizona ran her hand through Callie's luscious curls while Callie moved her lips up to a particularly sensitive spot on her neck and started sucking.
"I-I miss-ssed you too. So, so, so, so much. Uh-ah-oh god." When Callie bit down on her neck her eyes shot open and she was reminded that they were in a very public place doing some very private things. They were off to the side in a semi-secluded area, but the environment was still far less than ideal. "Cal. Cal, we-we need to stop. Slow down baby."
Callie removed her lips from the creamy white flesh and looked up at Arizona smirking while waiting for her breathing to regulate.
"I need to slow down huh? Funny coming from the girl who jumped me and is still hanging off me."
Arizona looked down and realized that maybe she should get back on her feet before trying to stop them. Callie helped to slowly lower her back onto her feet. Arizona put her hands on the base of Callie's neck and pulled her in for a chaste kiss. She pulled away again and started playing with Callie's hair while she spoke.
"Point taken. I did mean it though. I think we should calm things down a little. I don't want to rush. I plan on being with you for a very long time and I don't want us to miss out on any little thing. Also, I'm sorry for pouncing on you, but I swear you leave your hair down all wild and curly and wear that goddamn leather jacket just to tease me."
"Well it works doesn't it?" Arizona playfully slapped Callie's chest and rolled her eyes. "Besides don't ever apologize for kissing me or 'pouncing' on me because you're always welcome to do anything of the sort." Callie's hands were on Arizona's hips so she gave them a gentle squeeze. "And I agree. You're completely right. So I'm going to take you on our real first date this weekend. How does that sound?"
"That sounds perfect."
"Good. So what kind of other little things do you have in mind?"
Arizona took Callie's hand and led her over to the luggage carousel.
"Lots and lots of things."
Her bag was one of the only ones still on the conveyer belt so she grabbed it quickly with her hand not in Callie's and they started to make their way to Callie's car.
"Care to share some of these ideas of yours?"
"Maybe." Arizona shrugged her shoulders noncommittally as Callie put her luggage in the trunk of her car. Callie closed the trunk and turned to Arizona.
"Maybe?"
"Yeah, maybe. I'm not sure if you're worthy of my brilliant ideas yet." As she said this Callie put her hands on the car on both sides of Arizona, effectively closing in around her. Callie pushed her body into Arizona's making them both lean against the car while their bodies molded together. One of Callie's hands pushed against Arizona's hip and the other grabbed a fistful of her hair almost painfully and pulled back to expose her long supple neck. Arizona gasped but that only served as an extra drive for Callie. Her lips caressed the skin across her chest and up her neck to a spot behind her ear where she sucked before biting her earlobe. Arizona's eyes fluttered closed and she suppressed a moan in hopes of Callie continuing this little game. Callie moved back down to her throat and left a hot, wet, kiss before licking up to her jaw. Callie leaned in to kiss Arizona on the lips but stopped when she could feel Arizona's heavy breath mix with hers. She stood up straight, taking a step back from Arizona and away from her warm body. Arizona whimpered at the loss and opened her eyes giving Callie a questioning look.
"Why'd you stop? That felt so good."
Callie tried to hide her grin at Arizona's whine and walked to the front passenger side door and opened it for Arizona.
"If I'm not worthy of you brilliant ideas, I certainly can't be worthy of your lovely kisses."
"Hmph. Well played Calliope, well played."
After catching up and talking about their breaks with each other for a part of the drive Arizona put her hand over the one Callie had on the center console.
"I would like to go to the beach and have a bonfire with our friends. I'd like us to take off and go swimming in the middle of the night, maybe a pool since it's starting to get a little colder out. I'd like us to walk along the beach or the boardwalk and get ice cream. I want us to go on one of those boats where everyone fishes off the sides. You would look so cute reeling in a fish. We absolutely have to g o to the zoo and a baseball game. I'd like to take you to a club, but us actually go together and be together. You are such an amazing dancer and I want to be able to run my hands all over your body and show you off knowing that I'll be the only one to touch you. I also want lots of nights in where we get pizza or Chinese food and watch movies or study. I want nights where we talk until we fall asleep next to each other. I almost feel selfish sometimes because I never used to want things. I didn't want anything for myself or from anyone, but now I do. I want you and I want to do so much with you. Constantly, like all the time, just me and you. And now I've gone all serious again. I swear we can't have a single conversation without one of us getting mushy or emotional."
Arizona really couldn't believe that she had opened herself up again. She had never been one to share her thoughts or feelings openly, especially with someone she was dating or almost dating or kind of together with. Callie made her feel safe and excited though. She trusted Callie to listen to what she wants and to take her ideas seriously. Mutual respect was one of the things she thought to be most important in a relationship. Callie and she weren't officially girlfriends yet, they hadn't even gone on a date yet, but that somehow didn't seem to matter.
"Those all sound so perfect Arizona. Thank you for sharing with me. And hey, now that I know some of the things you want, we can make some happen. We can even tackle at least one this weekend."
Arizona reached over and kissed Callie on the cheek as they parked in front of their building.
"Only if you help me unpack…Please?" Arizona pouted her lips and nudged Callie's shoulder with her nose, but she didn't need to do any of that really. Callie would do anything for her without a fight.
"Deal. Do I get to unpack your underwear?" Callie wiggled her eyebrows and they got out of the car to unload Arizona's bag.
"I don't think so. I wouldn't want to give you any sneak peeks." Arizona walked off to the building, Callie trailing behind her with Arizona's bag in hand and her eyes glued to that sweet ass.
