Len: Actually, she'd been avoiding him since last week.

Miku: Ah, I see… That's why nii-san was in a slump for the past week.

(Mikuo suddenly appears)

Mikuo: Hey, Rin! What's wrong with you? You're avoiding me!

(*silence)

Mikuo: Hey, don't cut me out like that! Don't you know how lonely it was without you?

(/ _ /) *Rin blushes and releases steam

*Miku and Len grins

Chapter 10 –Living Hell-

"Tou-sama…" Miku mumbled as she stared at the huge, teal-haired man in front of her. She's scared. I could tell it from her voice. I'd never seen him so frightened before. I glared at the piercing teal orbs that look identical to Miku's. But those eyes were different, they were cold and empty. It was like that man had no soul, no heart. I could see why Miku is afraid of him.

He glared at me and I shivered. No one ever made me frightened this way before except Rin. I gulped.

"Are you the butler whom I heard was courting my daughter?" he asked, his voice loud and strict. I nodded nervously, thinking that it would be best to be honest to Miku-sama's father.

"Y-yes, sir."

He raised his brow.

"Well then… YOU'RE FIRED! GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE RIGHT NOW!" he shouted in front of me with scary eyes as he points towards the door. I was surprised and dumbfounded. I knew this would happen but… I'm not yet ready for this… Rin and I were silent and scared. Tears fell from Miku's eyelids.

"But father, please don't!" Miku protested but her father just pushed her to the floor hard. There was a loud thud when Miku hit the floor. My eyes widened. I finally came back to my senses as I hurriedly rushed to her side.

"Miku-sama, are you hurt?" I asked her softly, holding her in my arms. She glanced at me and gave me a warm smile.

"I'm fine… but I don't want you to leave me, Len." Miku answered, warm tears spilling on her flawless cheeks. My heart almost broke to see her crying like this that I suddenly found the courage to speak up.

"Hear that, 'Master'? Your daughter doesn't want to me to leave her side. Do you want to see her cry like this? She'll treat you as a monster if you'll throw me out. You don't want that, don't you?" I told him courageously, swallowing that lump in my throat. Looks like I made him mad.

"HOW DARE YOU TALK BACK TO ME LIKE THAT, YOU INSOLENT FOOL! I AM HER FATHER AND I COMMAND YOU TO LEAVE AT ONCE!" he screamed at me, louder than before. Someone suddenly opened the door.

"What's with this commotion? What kind of welcome is this?" a teal haired guy about the same age as Rin's appeared. He was quite tall and he resembled Miku a lot.

"M-mikuo-oniisan…" Miku said with teary eyes. Miku's father turned to face him with a disgusted look.

"Oh, You've come back, you good-for-nothing son! How was the witch doing? Is she having fun with that bastard? Or don't tell me, she's abandoning you too?" Miku's father asked in a sarcastic tone. Mikuo frowned.

"How many times do I have to tell you that Mother is not like that! Mother is regretting everything she had done! Why won't you just accept her apology? YOU STILL LOVE MOM, DON'T YOU?!" Mikuo shouted. Their father bit his lower lip.

"Let's save that talk later. I still need to get rid of some pests…" their father said as he turned to me. He took Rin and I in his large arms and effortlessly carried us outside. We struggled but our actions were futile. He was so strong that he didn't have any difficulty in throwing us out. We hit the solid ground hard. I was even able to inhale dust. I coughed as I weakly stared at the mansion's door. I outstretched my hand but I can't reach her.

Miku-sama, I'm sorry. I have failed my duty as my butler.

It's all my fault. If I hadn't fell for my mistress, I would have stayed by her side as her butler. I shouldn't have asked for more. I shouldn't have dreamed for something I shouldn't have. I should've known this would happen.

"Len, it's not the end yet. You can still prove yourself worthy of her. If you can, then Miku's father might allow you to be by her side. He's just being a father, though he really went too overboard. Believe me, I'm your sister after all (and I'm the author here! Teehee!)" Rin said tenderly as she pats me on the shoulders. I looked at my older sister, feeling so emotional.

"(sniff, sniff) Thank you, onee-chan." I mumbled.

"My sister's right. I shouldn't give up! Not now! Miku-sama needs me! My princess needs me by her side! I won't let go of my dream of being her prince! I will work hard and get rich! I will be the ideal man that her father would accept!" I declared, staring at the mansion with determination. Yosh! Let's do this! Wait for that time, princess! Rin clapped her hands and cheered.

"How amusing… Need a lift?" a teal-haired male teenager appeared from the side. It was Miku's older brother, Mikuo!

Rin squeaked. I turned around to look at her. She's blushing! Wait, why are they staring at each other?!

Rin: Hey Mikuo, no editing! Why am I blushing in the last part?!

Mikuo: it's more fun that way, isn't it, Len, Miku?

(Len and Miku two thumbs up)

*Rin melts and hides herself under the blanket

Miku: Ne Len, why don't we buy some crepes outside?

Len: Why do we need to buy? I'd rather prefer your handmade crepes. I love everything you make.

*Miku blushes and hits Len with a leek

Miku: You're really such a bully!

Len: I love you, Miku.

Miku: I know that well, you baka… *blush

*Mikuo coughs
