Hello readers, I'm finally updating Rise of the duel masters, so enjoy.
Chapter 7
"Welcome Jack." Chavez said "To the order of the Kaijudo Duel Masters."
"Wow." Was all jack could say.
"Right?!" Ally said
"This place is amazing." Jack said as they walked down the stairs and into the library.
"Here we have the library." Master Chavez explained. "Where we keep the tablets used to summon our creatures."
"I didn't see you use any tablets in jasper." Jack said
"The tablets teach you how to summon the creature on that tablet." Master Nadia explained. "Its up to you to remember the motions of the summoning."
"Oh." Jack said.
"So this is the boy?" A stiff voice said behind them.
"Yes Nigel." Nadia said. "This is Jackson Darby."
"I am Master Brightmore." He said "Duel Master of Light."
"Its a pleasure to meet you sir." Jack said bowing.
"Yes, the pleasure is mine." Nigel said surprised by jack's manors.
"Come jack." Chavez said. "We must fit you with a duel gauntlet."
"Okay." he said as they made their way to the forge.
There they found Toji working on one of the gauntlets.
"So it seems we have a new akalight." He said stopping his work.
"Yes toji." Master chavez said. "This is Jackson Darby. He needs a duel gauntlet."
"Aright." Toji said taking a gauntlet out of a box and handing it to jack.
How do I activate it?" Jack asked putting it on.
"Like this." Ally said moving her hand in a motion. Jack repeated this motion and his gauntlet activated.
Wow!" Jack said "Cool!"
"Well now that that's settled." Nadia said "Come with me to the training ground, its time we taught you your first lesson in dueling."
As they made their way through the library to get to the training hall jack suddenly heard something "So you've arrived." A small barely audible voice said.
"What did you say?" Jack said turning to Nadia
"I didn't say anything." She said
Must have imagined it. Jack thought.
Jack's first attempts at controlling a creature went a lot better than he expected, the creature he practiced with was Kenina the igniter, at first she wasn't very happy at the thought of a human controlling her but after the first few minutes, she started obeying his commands. After about half an hour of making Kenina do aerial maneuvers Master Chavez told jack to stop, he, ally, Ray, Gabe and chavez were walking back through the library when jack said what was on his mind.
"you know." He said "I'm not sure I'm cut out for dueling."
"Why not jack?" Chavez asked "You did wonderfully."
"Maybe." Jack said looking down "But it didn't feel right."
"What do you mean?" Chavez asked.
"Making Kenina do those things made me feel horrible." Jack said.
"Really?" Ray said.
"yes." Jack said
Suddenly jack heard the mysterious voice again. "You have arrived." it said again only this time jack heard it and he realized it was coming from the light section of the library.
"Tell me you guys heard that?" Jack asked looking towards the light section.
"No." Chavez said "What do you think you heard?"
"It was a voice." Jack said "It said 'You have arrived"
"Where did it come from?" Chavez asked.
"Up there." Jack said pointing towards the light section when a light appeared. "And now there's a light."
"I don't see anything." Ray said.
"I'm going." Jack said running up the stairs towards the source of the light. When he reached it he saw that it was a tablet within a glass case.
"Jack!" Chavez said catching up to him "Only Duel masters are allowed up here."
But jack wasn't listening, he was too captivated by the tablet. It read "Alcadeus Winged Justice"
"You've been calling me haven't you?" Jack asked
"Jack who are you talking to?" Chavez said as the tablet began to glow.
"Is it supposed to do that?" Ally asked
"that tablet has been locked in that case since before my time." Chavez said "So I'm not sure." Just as he said that a beam of light came out from the tablet and ended up on jack's forehead.
Jack heard everyone say something but he couldn't hear what as he was engaged in a conversation with the tablet.
"Yes." It said "I've been calling to you your whole life, you are only now able to hear me though due to the close proximity to my tablet."
"Why call to me?" Jack asked
"Because I am your creature." It answered. "weather the duel masters now it or not, every human who practices Kaijudo has a specific creature that they bond with. I am yours."
"wow." Jack said "So you're talking to me from the kaijudo realm?"
"Yes." It said "and I've been waiting a very long time to meet you jack."
"Why me?" Jack asked.
"because you are a duelist who doesn't want to control creatures." It said "Other duel masters have tried to control me but to no avail, so they sealed my tablet away."
While jack and Alcadeus were talking telepathically, everyone else was freaking out. Ray had gone to get the other duel masters and they were all trying to move jack away from the tablet, but it was as if jack was rooted to the floor, they couldn't even budge him.
"What happened?" Master Brightmore asked
"We were going to the stables to show jack the other creatures, when he said he could hear a voice." Chavez explained "Then he said he could see a strange light coming from here and he ran up here and stopped in front of the tablet, we haven't been able to move him since."
"Nigel what is this?" Nadia asked
"That creature proved too dangerous to control." Nigel said "So its tablet was sealed behind that glass. But I'm not sure what its doing to jack."
"Masters?" Gabe asked
"Yes Gabriel?" Nadia asked
"According to my research, some light creature communicate telepathically. it seems that this creature is somehow communicating with jack." Gabe explained.
"But why?" Naida asked. "Why jack? and why now?"
"That I'm not sure about." Gabe said shrugging.
"Look." Ray said "The light is fading."
True to what he said the light was indeed fading, and it seemed that whatever hold it had on jack stopped because he shook and clutched his head.
"Jack what happened!?" Chavez said
"I had a little talk with Alcadeus here." Jack said pointing at the case while searching for something.
"And what did this creature say?" A large man dressed in a green robe asked.
"He said that he'd been waiting a long time to meet me." Jack said.
"Explain. Now." Nadia said
"Well you see…" Jack said
After the long explanation, everyone was standing in awe all except master brightmore.
"I don't believe it." He said "There is no way some mindless creature was able to contact you from its tablet."
"Whether you believe it or not is not important." Jack said "I know what happened."
"Jack Master brightmore has a point." the large man said.
"Tell me something." Jack said "What drew you to the creature you prefer to fight with?" Jack asked "Why them? Why not use many creatures instead of one more than others?"
"They seemed right." The large man said.
"You are right Kemora." Chavez said "I chose Gilaflame, because it just felt right. Is that the feeling you get from this creature?"
"Yes." Jack said.
"Unacceptable!" Master Brightmore said "We can not allow this, that creature was forbidden for a reason, it was too difficult to control."
"I believed my explanation explained why no one could control him in the past." Jack said
"I can tell that jack will find away to try this somehow." Chavez said "So heres what I suggest. We let him try to summon it, and if he can't control it we simply banish it."
"Very well." Brightmore said through gritted teeth opening the case and handing jack the tablet.
They quickly made their way to the arena and set up a mana barrier to prevent the creature from escaping if jack couldn't control it.
"Alright jack." Chavez said "Give it a try."
"Alright." Jack said reading the tablet, and doing the motions on the tablet he said "Alcadeus Winged Justice!"
Suddenly a portal opened and there he was. Alcadeus.
"Hello jack." he said in a very old and wise voice "It is good to finally meet you."
"Good to meet you to." Jack said in awe.
"He summoned it?" Brightmore said
"Yes jack did summon me master brightmore." Alcadeus said narrowing his eyes. "Yes I can hear you, and your mana barrier is unnecessary, and would be completely ineffective against me."
"Why do you say that?" Ray asked
"Because I can absorb mana." Alcadeus said "Like so."
Raising his right hand, the barrier actually began so get sucked in, though he quickly reversed it and the barrier was set right back where it was.
Amazing" Kimora said.
"So it seems that what jack said it ture." naida said approaching them. "tell me jack how are you controlling this creature?"
"Jack doesn't control me." Alcadeus said "The reason I appeared was because I wanted to meet my dueling partner. Like all of you with the creatures you usually use, I am the creautre bonded to jack."
"Bonded?" Kimora asked "what type of bond?"
"At first a spiritual bond." Alcadeus explained "But in time, a bond of friendship, like ray and Tatsurion. The bond of friendship between you two is very strong."
"Thank you." Ray said.
"This is preposterous!" Nigel said "Jack take command of this creature at once."
"With all do respect master. No." Jack said
"What?!" Nigel said.
"I will not control Alcadeus or any creature." Jack said.
"Well said jack." Alcadeus said "But for now, I feel it would be best if I returned."
"Alright." Jack said "see you later. Um how do I send you back?"
"Like this." Ray said demonstrating.
Repeating the same movement, Alcadeus began to disappear, but before he vanished he said "See you soon my new friend." and then he was gone.
Amazing." Was all jack could say.
