Prologue:
In a land known as Equestria, in a town known as Canterlot, a tall pale, light grayish mulberry Alicorn mare with a dark floating purple mane and tail with pink and purple streaks, and five white stars circling a bigger magenta star for a cutie mark was walking in the gardens. This Alicorn is known as Twilight Sparkle.
Walking alongside her is a young light magentish gray Alicorn filly with tinges of pale, light grayish fuchsia, and a mane and tail with a gradient of light cerise to grayish violet with light arctic blue highlights but no cutie mark. This is Flurry Heart, Twilight's niece.
Twilight and Flurry were walking through the gardens because Twilight told Flurry that she had a special surprise. Flurry was already excited and curious about the surprise and really wants to know what the big surprise is that her aunt wants to show her. Right now, the two Alicorns are walking up a small hill, and according to what Twilight said to Flurry the surprise is just over the hill.
"Nearly there, Flurry. It's just over this hill," Twilight said, panting, seeing that the hill can take a lot of climbing.
"What's the big surprise, Auntie? I really want to know what's the big mystery," Flurry said, becoming very excited than ever.
"I want you to meet an old friend of mine, Flurry," Twilight said, smiling at her niece as she walked into some kind of forest.
Flurry was a little confused but she follows her aunt into the forest in order to see her surprise. As Flurry enters, she sees the forest was quite beautiful. All around her, there are flowers, trees with shiny and beautiful leaves, and there's even a small waterfall. Flurry was amazed and in awe by the amazing sight of the place. It looked as if this place hasn't changed or had been touched for a long time.
Looking ahead, Flurry sees Twilight entering a grove of long vines and although she doesn't understand what her aunt is doing follows her example. As Flurry poked her head through the long vines, what she saw next was something that made her eyes widen in surprise and mouth open with disbelief. Twilight approached it and stopped, for this is the surprise she wanted to show Flurry.
It is a statue of a legendary equestrian creature that once roamed Equestria. It looked like a cross between a Dinosaur and a Pony. It has the head, body, and tail of a Kritosaurus but its base has those of an Earth Pony such as a mane and four hooves of an Earth Pony. This animal is known as a Dinopony.
Flurry was awestruck for she has never seen a statue of a Dinopony in her life before.
"This is who I wanted to show you, Flurry. Meet Aladar," Twilight introduced her niece to the statue.
"Whooooaaaa," Flurry said in awe as she walks next to her aunt.
"Yup, Aladar is one of the great legends of Equestrian History. For it was he who gave everyone in his world hope and friendship. Thanks to him and because of his bravery, everybody made Aladar their leader for he was also the one who found this place," Twilight explained as she showed Flurry Heart the place that Aladar found in his time, which was none other than their home…Equestria.
"Equestria?" Flurry asked in awe with an impressed smile on her face.
"Mm-hmm," Twilight replied with a nod, noting that Flurry was correct, "If it weren't for him, probably none of us would be here,".
"Wow, how did he do it?" Flurry asked, wanting to know the whole story.
Seeing that Flurry wants to know the story and legend of Aladar, Twilight thinks this could be a perfect time to tell her the story.
"Well, I suppose you are ready to hear the full legend of Aladar," Twilight said as Flurry sat down getting herself ready to hear the story.
Then Twilight cleared her throat and got started to tell her niece the story as she looked at the statue of Aladar the Dinopony and said, "See, Flurry, it all started a very long time ago, back before I met my friends, back before your mother and father were married, and before you were born…,".
Then everything fades to black for the story is about to begin…
