Chapter 14 –The Kingdom of Austriche-

Miku's POV,

It had been two days since we've received the treasure chest. Now, my father and I are on our way to the Great Golden Castle of Austriche after receiving an invitation for a ball which was sent together with the treasure chest. I could remember my father almost fainting after seeing the treasure chest full of gold bars and precious gems. It was quite funny to see my father like that.

But I know that those four years of sufferings and sadness won't be wasted for nothing. Finally, it's time for my Prince to take me away. I'm sure the one that sent that treasure chest was Len. He really will come back for me. He's my butler, my knight, my savior, my friend, my first love and my prince, after all.

My father coughed and I looked at him, surprised. He raised one of his brows.

"Why are you smiling like that, Miku? You look crazy." My father surprisingly commented. I blinked.

"Father, why are you being so nice to me?" I asked him curiously.

"It's because I am your father… Sighs. That boy really loves you, right?"

I smiled and nodded. "Of course! I have a good taste when it comes to guys! Handsome, kind, smart, strong, well-behaved, funny, loving, caring… I couldn't ask for more! Most of all, he really loves me a lot!"

"You really love him, don't you? Well, I can't stop you anymore. Even though I don't want him for you but since he fulfilled everything I told him to do, then I'll be giving him my blessing. A man never goes back on his word, my daughter." My father softly said, patting my head lightly. I hugged him tightly in happiness.

"Arigato, tou-sama!"

"Also, about that engagement with Kaito, I cancelled it. I knew this would happen so… That Len really pissed me off. He kept on reminding me about how I was in the past." my father added, hugging me back. I looked at him.

"You were like Len in the past?" I asked, sitting back. My father smiled. I was totally shocked.

"Yes. Your mother was a very wealthy heiress and I was just a mere gardener. Your mother loved roses a lot and that was why we met. We eventually fell in love with each other. Her father pushed me away from her and told me that I don't deserve her. I strived hard and became successful enough to be able to ask her hand for marriage. We were happy, of course. We loved each other very much. But then…" tears suddenly fell from my father's teal eyes.

"Mother abandoned us… for that certain bastard, right, Father?" I asked him, preventing myself from crying. I didn't want to ruin my makeup for the ball.

"Y-yes… That moment, I died inside. I focused on our family business so that I could forget about your mother. But until now… I… I still love her. That's why you shouldn't break that boy's heart, okay, Miku? You don't want him to end up like me, right?" my father said with a hoarse voice. I nodded and smiled at my father.

"Yes, father. I won't break his heart. I promise."

The carriage suddenly halted. It seems that we already are entering the walls of the castle. I slid the small curtain and saw the magnificent gold and marble castle surrounded by lush green trees. I stared at it in awe, admiring its intricate and exquisite designs. It feels like I am in a fairytale where I am the princess that is being waited by the handsome prince of the golden castle.

The carriage stopped and the chauffeur opened the door for us. My father went out and helped me get out of the carriage because my dress was too fluffy. The chauffeur led us to the hall which was placed with a red carpet with golden linings. The posts were made of white marble and gold. A huge golden door stood mightily before us and the chauffeur courteously opened it for us. My father and I gasped. A large, crystal and gold chandelier was hung on the ceiling as centerpiece. Wealthy nobles were everywhere clad in expensive suits and dresses. Everything was sparkling. The room smelled of rose and vanilla. I looked around, searching for Len. But he wasn't there. I wonder where he is.

"Miku, don't walk around too much. You might get separated from me." My father worriedly said.

"Father, have you seen Len?" I asked him eagerly.

"Oh, are you the girl that my grandson loves?" a voice called out. I turned around and saw an old man and old woman dressed in expensive clothes. I noticed the golden crown on the old man's head. H-he's the king? I bowed before them, followed by my father.

"N-nice to meet you, your highnesses. I am Miku Hatsune, heiress of Hatsune Group of Companies." I said formally.

"Please raise your heads." They said to us. I raised my head, looking at them nervously.

"You're very pretty. No wonder my beloved grandson loved you." The old woman said.

"Grandson? A-are you talking about Len, your highness?" I asked politely.

"Yes, Prince Len III is our grandson. I am King Kagamine Len I of Austriche, it's a pleasure to meet the future princess of this kingdom." The King said, taking my hand and kissing it ever so lightly. The Queen smiled at me.

"I heard that your name is Miku. It's a pleasure to meet you Miku, my dear. I am Queen Miku I, Len's grandma." The Queen said. My eyes widened. Prince Len and Maid Miku of Reaching You are alive and real! It's really true!

"Uhm… Your Majesty, may I know where is Len?"

"Oh, Len. Just look around and you'll find him." The King answered. I turned around and saw a pair of cerulean eyes flicker in the shadows of another hall. I ran after it. I saw a blond man turn to the right and immediately followed. I saw him enter the room. I hurriedly went in and found out that it was quite dark. Luckily, the moon shone on the terrace, lighting up the room a bit. A large, rectangular object was covered in white cloth.

I approached it silently and took the cloth off. I felt warm tears spill from my eyes.

Miku: Nee, Rin, Len, Mikuo, what was that under the white cloth?

Rin & Len: It's a S-E-C-R-E-T!

Mikuo: Oh that… It's just a pai- *Rin & Len grabs Mikuo and punches him

Miku: Pai-?

Len: It's nothing!

Rin: Yeah, don't believe this freak!

Len: Just wait for the next chapter, okay? Watashi no hime~

Miku: Hmph, baka!

Mikuo: R-R&R, m-minna… *faints
