A/N: Has anyone else noticed how the inside of the Temple of Time looks exactly the same as in Sacred Grove (where you had to fight the Shadow beasts)? That's just creepy :3 Also, you guys know about the Sages from Arbiter's Grounds, right? Anyways, I just happened to think about them and thought, hey maybe they are the Sages from OoT. Wouldn't that makes sense? Because, in OoT there were six Sages and in TP, we see that there are SIX SAGES plus SIX PILLARS. But one of them was killed from Ganondorf which now makes them five. BUT, because Zelda was one of the Sages, that makes SEVEN. Soo…if the TP Sages and the OoT Sages are the same, what happened to the seventh one? We all know that Zelda had saved Midna by sacrificing her life… DX ugh, one thing's for sure is that the Timeline is just so messed up :3 I also have two things to tell you but I'll save that those at the bottom since this A/N is already long :p what are your thoughts so far though?

Chapter 34: The History of Secrets

I stumbled out of the swirling void only to trip on a loose piece of wood. I groaned at the discomfort I was having since I felt like I wanted to throw up.

I hate Time Travelling and why do I get the feeling that I had done this before? This is really bothering me.

"You okay?" Midna asked.

"Just…feeling sick but I will survive." I replied even though my skin color is pale.

When I got myself in order, I gazed at the incredible Temple. The marble white stones shone from the sunlight rays that entered through the stained windows that had intricate patterns on them. The walls, ceilings and the floor were all made out of the marble stones, making it to have some type of "rich flavor".

Right in the middle had a medium circle and in the center of the circle, was none other than the Triforce. Two statues stood beside the opened doorway as if they were also guarding something. Of course, they were the same ones as the other ones that we had seen not too long ago.

There was a nagging feeling inside of me. Haven't I been in here before? (A/N: Temple of Light from OoT.)

Shaking that strange feeling out, I ran down the old staircase and continued to run straight ahead. The footsteps echoed around the silent place. Just as I was about to enter the entrance of the doorway, Midna came out and stopped me.

"Hold on, Link. Look beside you."

I turned my head to the right only to widen my eyes as I saw many old texts that was written on the side of the wall. Interested, I got out of the stairs and went towards the text.

My eyes were still widen as I traced the words with my hand. The writing was rough but I paid no mind to it. I was more focused on the texts while hoping to translate them. I can tell that they are in Hylian so I'm just lucky that I had actually taken the liberty to study Hylian. I'm not that great but I'm getting there.

"What do they say?" Midna asked.

I looked at the third line, studying it so closely until I was finally able to make it out.

"Well, the third line says 'Master Sword'." I said then continued to read the second one. This one was a bit hard since all I could make out was the s, a and the n.

"Um… the second one says…Sanuary…" I frowned. "What?"

"Sanuary?" Midna asked. "What the heck is that?" she paused then blinked. "You don't suppose that could be translated as Sanctuary, do you?"

I stared at the word then sighed. "I suppose. I mean that is the closest word to it. I also figured the first line and it says: Stone Statue."

"The ones we keep on seeing?"

"Yeap. The very one."

"What's the last one?"

I looked at curiously while trying to translate. When I got it, I made an odd look.

"I'm not sure if I got it right but um, it says Copy Rod."

"Copy Rod?"

I shrugged. "I don't know."

I took a few steps back and saw that there were more of the texts written from the bottom of the wall to the second bottom of the wall. I came to the conclusion that they probably mean the same thing. After that, I entered through the tunnel-like entrance before emerging into a new section.

This new room had tall stained windows that were all over the place (A/N: isn't this place the same as in the Temple of Light in OoT? The one where Link pulls out the Master Sword…? Just my random guess)

The floor still had the smooth marble stones and in the center of the room contained a large circle with the pedestal in the middle of the circle. I climbed the short set of stairs then examined the pedestal. Like before, I struck the hole in the pedestal with my Master Sword.

The blade glowed, a pretty yellow color and right before my eyes, stairs started to come out of thin air. The translucent blue stairs kept on going until they reached at the top that was at the front of the stained window. I placed back my sword in the sheath and was about to go til something made me to stop in my tracks.

I stared at Ooccoo who ran quickly and just like that, she vanished as soon as she entered the stained window which for a moment, I had thought she was going to be hit from it.

I followed her example and pretty soon, I found myself in another part of the Temple. This one what it looked to be the very main chamber as it was huge with a two-way staircase. A great big golden door with designs was far ahead of the staircases while at the top of the door had a ledge which contained the crest of the Triforce. Beside the door, had two…wait hold up.

There was only one statue beside the door. As far as I know, it was supposed to have two.

There was also a short set of stairs that led to the golden door. In the middle of the room was huge bell.

I decided to check out the statue since I just knew that there were supposed to be two of them. Looks like Midna had thought about the same thing.

"Link. Don't you think there's something odd about that statue? In the grove and in the temple entry, there were always matching ones on each side, but there's only one here…"

"I know. I've been thinking about the same thing." I replied. The more I stared at the empty spot, the more I got this weird feeling that things aren't always what they seem. "Midna, transform me into a wolf."

She did so and I honed on my senses and there, on the empty spot was what it looked like the "spirit" of the statue.

"We were right. There was one more here originally. We need to find the other statue in this temple that matches that one."

I transformed back into a wolf since I saw a golden switch on one of the platform-like stand. Seeing a pot, I picked one up and placed it on the switch. Ahead of me a piece of the ground rose up which now made me to have access for the staircase.

I jumped of the stand and went towards the ground so that I can go on the staircase. Once I did, I ascended the staircase until I reached the top.

"Erm…not so fast." a voice spoke.

I halted out and saw Ooccoo who was standing in front of another set of staircase.

"At last…This is it! This is where I've been trying to get to!" she exclaimed. "The ancient technology of our people sleeps in this place. We've searched all over…and now we're so close. I can SMELL it! Once we find that thing, we can go home at last! Oh, gracious, yes! Erm, young man! We're so close… so PLEASE help us find what we're looking for!"

"Um alright…but how do I know what to look for? What's the ancient technology?"

Ooccoo smiled. "I'm sure you will know." with that, she fluttered into my hands and tagged along.

I ascended the staircase only to find that it was locked. I went back down and went to the other part of the staircase but I found two unlit torches.

Ah, these things.

Whenever there are two unlit torches, you know a treasure chest is coming.

After lighting up the torches, no doubt a treasure chest appeared out of the blinding light and I obtained the item which was a key. Having the key, I went back up the stairs and opened the locked door.

I quickly killed the young Gohma since they aren't worth my time…like many other enemies. Seeing closed golden gates, my eyes laid upon another golden switch and just like last time, I picked up a pot and placed it on the switch.

It opened the two gates but I ignored the one to my left since I went straight up to kill yet another young Gohma that lingered on the stairs. Seeing the gate (that was in front of me) was closed, I destroyed the pot with my clawshot and continued to ascend the stairs while often killing the Keeses.

I also demolished a Lizalfo with a quick helm splitter and continued my way to climb up the stairs until I reached the top which I did. Of course, there were three Lizalfos that were waiting for me but like the previous one, they were killed.

I eyed at the still unmoving statue that was called Armos but with a slightest movement, it was triggered alive. Nonetheless, I quickly spotted its weakness which was at its back since there was a strange button-like.

With a few dodges, turns and twists, the Armo were also destroyed leaving me to be in peace.

I had also noticed that a bell was in here too. I wonder what their purpose is…

Like before, I placed two objects on the switches which opened the gate allowing me to have access to the stairs. I then arrived at a new room that happened to be very large. Turning to my left, I just activated a Beamo but like before, it was destroyed.

There was also a large circle in the room but was guarded with fences but there was a path in which I can entered the circle though it seemed to be inaccessible at the moment since there was a crackling blue electricity.

I decided to scale around the room to see if I could do something. With the two lizalfos being dead, it was easier for me to continue. Scratch that.

There were still more of them but like the others, they were dead so it wasn't a big deal. Seeing a staircase, I ascended the stairs while (yet again) killing a lizalfo in the process. There were also spinner tracks that were implanted against the wall so I took out my spinner and rode away until I reached the top.

I eyed the left door which happened to be locked so I went to my right to enter the big circle while avoiding the blade traps that would spin around in circles. I pushed the lever clockwise since I want to be at the bottom.

Once at the bottom, I stole the helmet like object and went back to the circle where I once again pushed the lever in order for me to reach the top. After I reached the top, I started to scale around the circle while carrying an object. At the same time, I was also trying to avoid the blade traps that would come every now and then.

It wasn't easy as I would collide into them often which as a result, made my sides to be sore.

I reached my destination and I placed the object onto one of the switches so I knew I had to get another of those helmet-like items. Once that was done, I placed it on the switch only to have a piece of the floor rising up.

I frowned when I realized that I can't climb up since the floor was tall so I took off the helmet object which made the floor to sink down. This time, I went on the floor and then placed the item on the switch.

Since that was successful, it was then that I entered the door…

Where I automatically got locked in.

Since I figured that it was the Armos, they were easy to beat though they were stubborn. The locked door gate slid open. A chest appeared out of thin air in one of the empty spots and I went to the chest to grab the key that lay within it.

Once that was done, I got out of the door and went to the locked door from which I had seen earlier. Like many times, I entered in.

In this new room, it looked like a maze since there were many switches, a few Beamos and enemies.

Pretty simple, right?

However, on one of the pillars I found a new piece of drawing which was at the beginning of the maze. This one looked like the Sages but one of them seemed to have a bird head's. In the middle had another person though it looked like it was holding something. A weird-looking shaped stick, that is.

The moment I touched it, I felt a pull into my mind while a strange yet a familiar voice echoed in my mind.

"Wake up…Link, the chosen one…"

With a sharp pull, I was back in the Temple.

Wake up? What does that mean? I am already woken…right?

I gave an uneasy look at the drawings before departing my way.

I finished the maze by reaching to the other side while being pleased that so far, I didn't get any injuries…

Yet.

I was in a new part of the room but it looked more of a maze which I quickly went through after hitting the switches and killing the enemies that lingered in there. I was still spooked out from those drawings. The only thing that is running through my mind were the words.

But seriously though. Wake up? Like as in I'm supposed to be woken up from sleep? If that made any sense…what does that mean?!

Ugh. Stupid Temple.

I was soon at a room that had the gigantic bell in the middle of the room while there were young Gohmas and baby Gohmas. To be honest, I felt bad killing the baby Gohmas. Yeah, I know I'm a softie…

After balancing the scale, I continued to explore the temple until I reached at a room where I got locked in.

Fantasti—argh.

I stared dumb-founded at the figure before me. The figure was clad in heavy armor while carrying a big, huge sword that looked like it can chop a person in half with one swing. It also carried a shield but the main thing was that it also looked like it was guarding something.

And it was then that I noticed.

The statue.

It was up on the ledge.

However, my eyes were currently glued on the figure that turned around to face me. Why did it have to be a Darknut? Out of all enemies, it had to be this one…I hate this enemy with my guts!

It set itself into a fighting stance before it viciously swung its sword a couple of times, hoping to intimidate its prey.

Well, it got that right…

So um…help?

A/N: I freakin hate Darknuts =.= it should just not exist. Who's idea was it to have a Darknut has a mini-boss in the most awesome temple? Oh right, Nintendo. Thanks a lot Nintendo…

ANYWAYS! Now to the things I want to tell you. Okay, you guys know about the Forest Temple, right? So, have you noticed the outside structure before Link heads in? Have we seen it before? That's right! Ladies and gents, I give you the Deku Tree! Or rather the second Deku Tree…since the first Deku Tree was killed from the parasite Gohma. But, this second Deku Tree was also killed from the parasite Diababa or however you spell the name. Pretty neat, huh? And there was another thing I want to talk about but I forgot what it was T_T oh I'm sure I'll remember it in the next chapter. That being said, what are your thoughts now?

Now I remember! Does anyone feel like the dungeon is the Sacred Realm (or lies within the Sacred Realm) or is it just me? And there are actually drawings and texts in the Temple. The texts that were at the beginning are where the two statues are as soon as Link enters the temple. The drawings are all over the place and the texts are actually translated like that. From what I can tell from the huge texts, they look like they were written backwards :p pretty cool, huh?
