Prologue - Into unknown lands
"For being one of the advanced cities filled with espers and technology, it sure takes a while to get my phone fixed" Saito sighs as he walks on the commercial street of sector A. As he was walking along, he spotted a crowd gathering.
"Well, this seems interesting, let's check out" Saito also rushes into the crowd only to spot a small boxing ring with two fighters in either "woah!, An Esper showdown" His eyes sparkle.
"WELCOME TO SECTOR A ESPER SHOWDOWN - ZESTER EI" A man in the middle of the ring announces this "ON THE RIGHT CORNER WE HAVE RYUGA FROM TOIMEI JUNIOR HIGH'' he reveals an overly buff man who screams and enters the ring, the crowd cheers on loudly "ON THE LEFT CORNER WE HAVE KEIMA FROM SEITOU MIDDLE SCHOOL" This time a man of slender figure jumped into the ring, he was calm and didn't say much. The crowd didn't cheer as loudly as before but cheered nonetheless.
"ALRIGHT BOTH CORNERS READY!?" Both the participants nodded.
"READY"
"SET"
They both prepared themselves, getting into their respective positions.
"GOOOOOOOO" He says that as he disappears out of view, the next thing you know he was standing in the commentary stand "So, his ability is teleport. I heard it has a really good demand"
Ryuga bumps his fists into each other as flame engulfs them and he smirks looking at his opponent "You are toast, kid"
"LOOKS LIKE RYUGA HAS REVEALED HIS ABILITY, FLAME KNUCKLES!"
Ryuga rushes towards Keima to get a punch in and knock him out once and for all.
"You fool, you don't charge into your enemy" Keima calmly says.
When it looked like Ryuga fist was about to collide and obliterate Keima, his flames blew out.
"After all, my ability is aero hand" As if on cue, a strong force of wind blew Ryuga right out of the ring "You should never underestimate your opponent" he smirks and lifts his hand declaring himself the winner.
"AMAZING! TAKEN CARE WITH SUCH ELEGANCE! KEIMA TAKES THE WIN AGAINST RYUGA" The crowd that was silent until now erupts with cheers and screams.
"This is starting to hurt my ears! Ahhh" I quickly back out of the crowd and go back to my original objective "Let's just go home"
In this world, Technology has advanced enough to create or manipulate An Involuntary Movement or AIM Diffusion fields for short. Which led to the appearance of many people called Espers each having individual powers and unique abilities that allowed for breakthroughs.
The AIM field is invisible and cannot be seen by the naked eye, but some special Espers or some category of espers can sense it.
My own esper power is pretty well sought for ability, I have the power to create things. More like mold matter to create any weapon I want effectively.
I know right! Sounds like a super cool ability on paper.
If only, it worked that way
To create a weapon, I need to be aware of every component in it, I need to have mastery over it, I need to understand every law that the weapon I want to create governs.
Which is insanity, cause even if I knew how every component in it worked. I wouldn't be able to make it because I have no mastery over said weapon, therefore I wouldn't know if I succeeded in doing so. In the past when I attempted this with a toy gun. The bullet was shot backwards…
"I honestly don't mind, I can probably get better at it. I honestly don't mind being an average student"
I wasn't sad, I was honestly happy. Cause I didn't have anyone looking at me having high hopes.
My teachers told me I was an average student with decent grades, I should be fine once I start high school this semester too.
Just as I was deep in thought, I felt a strong AIM field appear to me.
"What am I looking at!?" It looked like a portal, enough to fit a man. I look around and no one except me seems to notice it.
As if being forced to move, my hands touched the portal and the next thing I know.
"Looks like "The Zero" didn't summon anything ya know"
"Of course, she didn't summon anything. It should have been obvious from the start! HAHAHA!"
I blinked.
I looked around me and I wasn't in a place I recognized.
AND CUT!~
Honestly, I wanted to really write more. But Since it's a prologue I had to keep it short. The next one would probably clear up all the weird ideas.
