How are you all doing!? Good, I hope! I have a new story I'm trying out here! And as you can see it's a Naruto x AoT crossover! Now beware that there will be things that are different from canon, from both ends of the fandoms, but I aim to create a good story. So, have at thee!
Naruto Uzumaki had seen a lot in his sixteen years of life and if you had asked him three years ago in the Academy if he had ever foreseen the events that were to come in the next three years, he'd call them delusional. Oh, he knew that the path of a Shinobi would lead him to fight powerful Shinobi, but he didn't realize that he'd have to fight a literal goddess in the end of it all.
"Ok, now this is just ridiculous…" Naruto thought as he looked down from his preached position on a massive tree, down at those…those creatures. They looked like giant humans, but they had no genitalia, they were naked, and they had weird creep faces. And all of them were crawling away at the massive tree that he was sitting at.
"Well, at least they can't climb. Dame Kaguya…" Naruto muttered a curse to the rabbit Goddess. Naruto knew that fighting her would a matter of life or death. It was kill or be killed. If he and Sasuke had failed, their world would have been doomed. But they would win, they had to, otherwise all their friends would have been killed. The world they knew as would be destroyed. In the end they had done it. They had managed to seal Kaguya like the old man Sage has instructed them too.
However, they failed to realize just how petty Kaguya was. In her final moments, Kaguya used one last Jutsu, one that opened a portal that began to suck everything in and with the two already exhausted from the battle, they were slowly being dragged into the portal.
"I hope everyone's safe…" Naruto whispered to himself as he looked up to the sky. With all his strength Naruto pushed Sasuke away, but not before performing a final Jutsu of their own, the one the old Sage taught them to undo the Infinite Tsukuyomi, Madara's plan to bring about "world peace" as he called it. A plan that backfired spectacularly on him as he himself was betrayed by his closest confidant.
With the Jutsu undone, the Shinobi world was free at last, the war was over. Too bad he wouldn't be able enjoy the fruits of his labor as now he was stuck here, wherever here was. At first, he had thought this was one of Kaguya's dimensions, but he concluded it wasn't because nothing here had Chakra. Well, there was Chakra, but living creatures here didn't rely on Chakra to survive. In his world Chakra was essential for life. Without it, you'd be dead.
"However, at least the atmosphere is teaming with it." Naruto said to himself as he looked down at his hand and balled it into a fist. Yes. The atmosphere here was overflowing with Chakra. Shifting to his Sage Mode took seconds, it was as easy as breathing. When he first arrived here, he was weak. Tired from the fight. And it wasn't long before he was beset by those creatures. Whatever these things were, they weren't human. They didn't talk, they didn't need to eat, well, except for him. And they became docile during the night.
"And they don't have to shit either." Naruto chuckled at that before his face turned serious. It had been a few days since he had been camping up in this giant forest and he was ready to start exploring. Kurama had been in a deep slumber. He couldn't blame him; The giant fox was no doubt far more tired than he was after giving all his Chakra to Naruto to fight the rabbit, Goddess.
"Hmmm. Now what is this?" Naruto asked himself as he saw smoke on the horizon, no flares. Columns of black smoke were rising up high into the air one by one. Naruto narrowed his eyes as he focused on them. Chakra allowed him to do many things, such as looking further than he could by adding Chakra to his eyes. It wasn't exactly on par with the likes of the Sharingan, but they could still see pretty far.
"People…on horseback?!" Naruto stared in disbelief. People were literally on horseback, going at full speed all the while those creatures chased after them. Naruto looked down as creatures turned their attention to the group on horseback and started to chase after them. Naruto kept observing and what he saw was horrifying. Those creatures were…they were eating those people. Try as they might, many of them fell victim to the ungodly creatures.
"Shit, I better go help." Naruto gritted his teeth's as he jumped down the tree. To many the fall was suicidal. But he was a Shinobi, and this fall was nothing to him. The moment he landed; he took off at lighting speed. To the average eye he was but a blur as he quickly rounded onto the first creature pulling out his Kunai's he bent his knees as he shot up, straight up to the creatures head.
"H-Help! S-S-Someone help me!" Naruto could hear the cries of the unfortunate soul that was currently in the clutches of the creature he was going to kill. As he leveled at the creatures neck, he added Wind Chakra to his Kunai's, extending the blades each, enough to cut right through the creatures neck. With one full swing he cut right through the neck of the creature, decapitating the whole head right off the body. The creature, now headless, began to go out of control as it dropped the person it was holding onto the ground.
Naruto observed the creature as it moved out of control, literally like a headless chicken, but it wasn't dead. He could see the flesh slowly regenerating. Seems like it'd take more than that to kill it. He turned to the man he had just saved, who looked baffled at what had just happened as his mouth was ajar.
"Hey, how do I kill this thing?" Naruto questioned as he pointed at the creature. The man looked at him, shocked as if he had seen a miracle, well, he might as well have. Naruto frowned as he walked up to the man, lifted him up by his collar and slapped him to break him out of his stupor.
"Get a hold of yourself. Now how do I kill this thing?!" Naruto shouted at the man, who finally came to his senses.
"T-The nape of its neck. T-That's how you kill them!" The man shouted as Naruto nodded before turning to the beast. He opened his hand as a blue hue started to form, pure Chakra that started to turn and twist into one of his most well-known moves; the Rasenshuriken. It didn't take long before the attack was ready, and he quickly brought his arm back before throwing the wind embed Rasengan. The attack was thrown at such a speed that it quickly reached the target. As it impacted the target, it quite literally took flight. The Rasenshuriken took the creature with itself into the sky as it began to expand. Thousands of micro blades started to shred the creature to bits, and they only grew stronger and greater as the Rasenshuriken expanded before the whole creature was entombed in a bright white light.
"W-W-What in the walls name…" The man that Naruto had saved looked on at the bright white dome of light as his eyes widened in in amazement, shock, and confusion. He wasn't sure what was going on. One second everything was fine and the next the whole right flank had descended into chaos as their ranks were cut to shred thanks to abnormal Titans mixed in with normal ones. It seemed like they had been ambushed, but that seemed crazy.
He watched as his comrades began to be devoured by them and in his carelessness, he himself had been snatched by one. At that moment his whole life flashed before his eyes as he tried to resist, calling out for help. It was all in vain as the Titan opened its jaws, ready to devour him. At that moment it was over, he was a dead man. And yet, at that very moment the Titan's whole head was lobbed off and he was dropped from its clutches. He couldn't believe it. He was saved! But who? Captain Levi maybe? As he looked up, he saw a man, not in any kind of gear, just a man.
"You better get out of here. I'll go save the rest of your friends." The man, no, a young teenager from what it looked like, told him. The man looked at the white dome of light as it finally subsided and all that feel from the sky were small chucks of steaming Titan flesh and bones. This teenager, no, this, this…
"God." The man thought to himself with astonishment. Who else but a god could so easily kill a Titan in such a manner? Before he could ask any questions, the supposed god vanished from his sight.
"W-Where did he go?!" The man said to himself as he looked around, he saw nothing. Just what exactly had happened…
"Karl! Are you alright?!" The man named Karl broke out of his thoughts as he looked back to see one of his comrades from the Scout Regiment call out to him. Karl stared at him with disbelief.
"What…just happened…" Karl said to himself. He should have died today, his comrades should have all died today, yet he was alive and no doubt many of the Scout Regiment would also be alive by the days end and all because of that…
"God…" He muttered to himself. Yes. That's it. Who else but a god could do the things he had just saw?
"Snap out of it! We gotta retreat!" He was once again broken out of his thoughts. The retreat order had been given. Another failed mission he assumed. It seemed to him that the Scouts did nothing but fail. Ever since the fall of Wall Maria humanity had been on the backfoot. And now their attempts to set up a forward base seemed to have failed.
With Naruto:
"One…two…. five…ten…" Naruto thought to himself as he counted off the number of creatures he killed. Titans, he heard the men on horseback call them. He assumed it was better than calling them creatures. To him these Titans were easy to slay. He had fought that were much faster and far more powerful. With another swing of his Chakra enhanced Kunai, he slew another Titan and quickly shot off to the next.
"They're retreating." Naruto looked over to the retreating men on horseback. It seemed like they hadn't noticed him, aside from that one man he saved. He deduced that they couldn't keep track of him given his speed.
"They also don't have Chakra." Naruto hummed at that. How were they able to survive without Chakra? It was the lifeforce of any living creature. Without it life couldn't exist. Turning his attention back to the Titans, Naruto kept slaving Titans one after another and before long he knew it, he had slayed all Titans within the area.
"Now then…" Naruto turned to the direction of where the men on horseback were retreating to and quickly took off. Given his speed he quickly caught up to them and slowed down just enough to keep them in sight but not within their visual range. As he shadowed them, he came across perhaps one of the most impressive sights.
"That is a massive wall." Naruto muttered as he looked up at the utterly massive wall, the biggest he had ever seen in his entire life. Not even the walls of the Hidden Leaf were this tall. Though he supposed that given the threat of these Titans the walls were justified. But the amount of time and effort it would take to build this wall would have been astronomic and from what he could see the wall went on as far as the eye could see on both sides. Even as far as he was, it looked imposing.
"Let's do this." He said to himself as he sped up, faster than they could see, and quickly shot past them and reached the wall within seconds. As he approached the wall, he crouched down and added Chakra to his legs and jumped upwards, quickly reaching the top of the wall before he stopped at the edge and kneeled down.
"Amazing…" Naruto whispered to himself as he looked down the wall. There was a whole town behind the wall and from the look of it the town was situated within a U-shaped section of the wall. And he couldn't find Chakra in any one of these people. Heck, he couldn't even sense them via Chakra. The best he could do was rely on his Chakra for short range sensing and he was mildly annoyed by that. He felt limited. Thus, he assumed if he went into Six Path Modes of any of the other modes beyond Sage Mode, he could sense everything. Though he reasoned he would be less stealthy given the raw output of power.
Looking over to the other side of the wall, he peered down as he saw the men on horseback, now looking like small ants, entering through a gate into the town. Nodding to himself he jumped from the wall and into the town and with a quick application of Henge Jutsu, Naruto easily blended into the crowd that was beginning to gather across the main road leading from the gate.
"Look at them, pitiful." He heard some of the town folks say as the watched the procession of the men and women that were entering through the gate.
"What exactly is going on…" He thought as he observed. He knew nothing of this world other then man eating giants and giant walls.
"Why do they keep going out to fight? They should just be put in the Garrison. We've already lost Wall Maria." He overheard a women say, causing him to raise an eyebrow. There was another wall. And they lost it? This sounded insane.
"At the very least we'll have less mouths to feed." He overheard a couple of men chuckle at that, causing him to frown. They were glad that some of them have died simply because they had less to feed. Just what kind of messed up world did Kaguya send him to?
"Is it me or are their more of them alive then dead this time?" A townsmen said as other gossiped.
"Yh, your right. There are definitely more of them alive then dead." Someone agreed with him as they all muttered and whispered.
"Scout Regiment…" Naruto overheard the name of the group of fighters he had saved. As he got a closer look at them, he saw that they all wore the same uniform, along with a green cloak/cape. He also noticed how some of them were missing limbs as well, most likely devoured by Titans.
"I'm telling you Captain Levi; I was saved by a God out there! I was about to be devoured by a Titan, but then this, this God saved me! The feats that being performed were beyond human! Only a God could do that!" Naruto perked up as he focused in on that particular conversation.
"Oh shit, that's the guy I saved." Naruto cursed as the man was portraying him like he was some sort of god, which he wasn't and hated the thought of it. The last "god" he knew and fought wanted to put the world into an endless sleep.
"Get a hold of yourself. No such as a God in this world. You most likely started to hallucinate after a near brush with death, most new recruits that survive tended to have some kind of shock." The young man named Levi waved him off, his nonchalant behavior coming of as if he hadn't even just fought off giant man-eating Titans.
"But Captain…" The man was cut off as he someone grabbed his shoulder.
"Don't worry Karl, you can tell me all the details about this God you witnessed!" Karl looked back and sweat dropped almost at the at Squad Leader Hange Zoe with stares in her eyes.
"S-Sure thing Hange…" Karl stated. Hange was an…oddball, that was for sure. Tho he reasoned that not many were "normal" in the Scout Regiment. The group of soldiers made their way through the main street towards a large castle in the center of the town and as they did the crowd began to disperse, going back to their business. Naruto stayed as he watched the retreating Regiment. His attention peaked as he saw three children that were paying attention to the Regiment, one more so.
"Once I'm old enough, I'll join the military and become part of the Scouts!" One of the boys proclaimed and Naruto could see it. That fire in his eyes. That same sprite and will that he held as a boy.
"No." The girl stated stoically as she flat out denied the proclamation. One looked into her eyes, and he could tell that she didn't care about much. They were almost lifeless, with no joy in them. They reminded him of Sasuke to some degree, after his clan was massacred by his brother.
"You're not my mom Mikasa! I am going to join the Scouts weather you like it or not!" The one named Eran fired back as the girl looked disappointed.
"I'll join the Scouts too!" The other boy chimed in as the girl sighed.
"Not you too Armin. Wasn't losing everything we already had enough?" Mikasa questioned them and it cut deep. The one named Armin looked down depressingly, while the one named Eran looked at her with anger.
"You don't get it, don't you? Its because what we have lost is why I'm joining the Scouts! Watching mother get eaten by that Titan, all helpless, made he understand. Understand that so long as we cower behind these walls, we are nothing but cattle! And unless we don't fight back, unless we don't reclaim what is our, we are finished! I'll kill ever single last Titan if that's the last thing I do!" Eran proclaimed with furry and rage in his eyes and Naruto saw it all.
"Orphans…" he reasoned as he looked at them in a new light. No child should endure losing their family at a young age, more so by those Titans. With a better understanding of the situation Naruto quickly retreated into one of the many small streets and pathways. He needed more information before he made his next decision.
"Shadow Clone." Naruto muttered. This was one of the oldest Jutsu's he had in his arsenals, and he had become so adapt at using it that he no longer required the hand signs for it. At his word ten Shadow Clones manifested.
"Each of you Henge into a different person and spread out. Gather as much information as you can and dispel after a month." Naruto ordered his clones as they all nodded and changed into ten different people, generic looking average people that wouldn't stand out. With that they scattered to complete this mission. Naruto nodded to himself as he looked up to the sky. He'd decide on what to do after a month.
"In the meantime, lets see if I there is a way back…" He said to himself as he walked off into a crowed street, blending into the sea of people.
Well, that's it for the first chapter. Now, I won't nerf Naruto. This is end war Naruto and he's got all of his powers to go along with it. I think its rather dumb to nerf Naruto with excuses like "His Chakra coils are damaged" or "He was never really that powerful to begin with". No. This is fully powered Naruto. However, as you may have noticed, AoT world's living creatures do not possess Chakra, so it's very hard for a Chakra based being like Naruto to sense them, at least long distances, but make no mistake, it doesn't make him weak in any way.
Also, as some of you might have noticed, Hange is a female in this. You can't change my mind on that, and I made her so because of the pairing. So, take that as you will. Hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Bye!
