A/N: OMGOMG! WE HAVE FINALLY AND I MEAN FINALLY REACHED THE CITY IN THE SKY! OMG PEOPLE! THAT ALSO MEANS WE ARE ALMOST FINISHING THE STORY! T_T TRUST ME I DON'T WANT TO FINISH THIS! WHY AM I TYPING EVERYTHING IN CAPS, I HAVE NO IDEA! LET'S BEGIN SHALL WE?! Wait hold it! I'm sorry about the…problem with the last chapter. It was being weird but it now I got it fixed! Yeah, when I saw it, it only had one sentence when in reality, I wrote nine pages in total. So um yeah. It's fixed and now we can continue, normally and (hopefully).

Chapter 41: The City in the Sky

"Finally! Erm, since you came all this way…I guess I can give you a tour of the city… EEEEK!"

I jumped with startle when Ooccoo gave out a shriek of fright. I also noticed how her eyes were now facing up at the blue cloudy sky so I turned my direction up there. Within a few seconds, a large winged-creature flew its way across the blue sky. It looked as if it was heavily armored and it gave out its mighty roar.

Just like that, it vanished into the distance. I heard panic chitters which made me to tore my gaze away from the winged creature. On the firm ground, away from the water, was another Oocco who seemed to be speaking in the same language as Ooccoo. Of course, I didn't know what they were talking about but what I did know was that the new arrival seemed very frightened.

"Ooh goodness! You won't believe it!" Ooccoo finally said after calming the Ooccoo down. "There's a dragon raging outside the city walls…Ooh, I'm terribly worried about everyone…I'm going to check in that shop for survivors!"

With that, Ooccoo left with her frightened friend as they scurried to the huge pink and gold oval-shaped shop. Once they were gone, I decided to check on the Ooccoo to see how they're doing. Going with that, I entered the shop.

It was a relatively sized building with pink colored walls though the pink was fading away. It looked very homey and comfortable. The marble counters were spread stretched from one end to the other end while behind the main (middle) counter sat another Ooccoo and it looked like that she was the owner of the shop. Behind the main counter, it held five items: arrows, bombs, red and blue potion and I'm guessing that the last item was either milk or lantern oil.

I then went to Ooccoo who still seemed a bit fazed up from the events that had been displayed not a too moment ago.

"Ooh…Erm, sorry for earlier, adventurer…" Ooccoo apologized.

"No worries. Your friends come first since they're probably a bit shaken up." I nodded.

She gave a short nod before she paused. "Ooh! But you're planning on walking around the city and taking it in, right?!"

"Sort of…"

"So I see. As you already know, I'm worried about the others and this is an emergency! I can't just stand around waiting! Please take me, too!"

Like many times, she flew into my hands and told me to place her in my pouch. How she breathes in there, I will never know.

Since I can't buy anything from the shop (remember I'm still broke and I'm still pissed off at Fyers), I exited out of the shop and headed north to where I ignored the two Deku Babas. The wind was very strong since I had almost been knocked out of the way. I was just lucky enough that I was grabbing on the edge of the bridge when I did got blown off my feet.

After the wind had died down, I pulled myself up and killed the deku baba since it was in my way because I spotted a diamond that sitting up on the door's ledge.

The golden gates pulled themselves apart to reveal yet another small-medium golden door that would lead me to the inside of the building; so, I entered in. The inside held many pillars in which some of the pillars had vines that were attached to them. There were also Ooccos that were walking around almost aimlessly and the floor held brown and blue tiles.

Since there was a rather large gap between the first ground (the one I was currently standing on and the one that was to the opposite side of me), I knew that I couldn't make it so I quickly found an Oocco. The strange animal flew across the gap and I landed on the brown tiles.

A Helmasaur (I loathed those creatures) charged at me by using its metal-spiked mask. I used my shield so that when the creature attacked me, it would rebound back a bit before I swiftly killed it at the weak point which was from behind.

I hurriedly cleared this first room and I was now in what it looked like to be the very main chamber as it had doors from all of the sides: north, south, east and west. However, my eyes widened when I spotted an animal that looked like a Helmasaur except this one was way larger and the steel helmet was a dark shade of brown but it still had the same weak point as the Helmasaur.

Because the enemy spotted me instantly, I didn't had the time to use my shield since the creature rammed its hard helmet straight into my guts.

Can't tell you how much that hurts.

My face scrunched up with pain and I didn't exactly have the time to recover since the foe came for another attack. I tried using my clawshot so that I can get rid of the hard helmet but I realized that it couldn't be removed because the helmet was made out of steel.

The animal gave out a squeal of angry when the clawshot collided with the helmet so it charged at me. This time, I leaped to the side to avoid the running and quickly performed two stabs at the creature's rear. Feeling the sharp pain, the stubborn beast twirled on its hinds, facing me once more.

On the second try, the hideous creature was killed.

When I was battling with the animal, I had seen from the corner of my eye a small-medium gap from one of the odd fenced windows at the southeast corner. Going with that, I used my clawshot to launch myself over there and went through the gap.

I fell on the firm ground, seeing wheel-like holes so I knew I had to get out my spinner. It was very tiring to move this object as it required all my muscles but finally, after lots of spinning around (I was getting dizzy), the spinner came to an abrupt halt which nearly knocked me down but I regained myself.

The ground gave out a shudder before something came out of the hole that was far ahead of me. It was a bridge that came out, allowing me to have access to the other side. I soon found myself to the new room after crossing the bridge.

I ran to my left side to be close at the edge of the wall then jumped a small portion of the gap. Looking up, there were two targets so I chose the one on my right and the clawshot yanked myself up. After getting the key from the chest, I existed out of the room and crossed the bridge.

I started to enter the door to go back to the main chamber but a sudden loud roar alerted me so I turned around to see that same dragon. Only this time, the dragon lowered itself down, destroying the bridge in its path before it took off.

Bloody dragon.

I got my way across (once I entered the chamber) by using the clawshot. I then went straight ahead to where all those blue tiles are. The moment I stepped on them, it gave me a heart attack since one of the tiles shook itself alive and started to go down.

Eyes wide, I watched the tile as it fell down from the sky.

Well, whoever got hit from the tile won't be happy…

Taking a breath, I gave myself a good distance then ran quickly. The tiles trembled as they lowered themselves down though I made it safely to the other side and existed out of the room.

Because there was a large gap in front of me, I walked to my left side while also ignoring the deku baba but I had to kill the last deku baba since it was blocking my spot. Once it was killed, I once again used my spinner to activate a bridge that was slowly coming out of its hidden spot.

After the activation, I crossed the bridge and entered the new part of the building once I unlocked the door. There were two huge wind vents that were at the right side of me while there were also vines being attached to the pillars. I instantly killed the Helmasaur since the enemy ran towards me when it spotted me before resuming back to my task such as going through the wind vent, hitting the crystal switch and then going through another wind vent before entering a new room.

The next new room looked like a maze as it contained many zig-zags brown tiles here and there and of course, it had the tile worms. I gulped when I had to take the upwards wind vent in order to reach the other side and it wasn't fun since I nearly fell to my doom.

However, I gave out a gasp when I felt myself being bounced back to the spot in which I had left. Groaning, I pushed myself up to see the tile worm that seemed to be mocking at me. Scowling, I took out my boomerang to yank out of its place and watched as it fell down below the sky.

Satisfied, I waited for the wind vent to cool down (hehe get it?) then proceeded. I was soon into another new room. Of course, the minute I entered the room, I got locked in.

In this room, there were a few gaps here and there though what caught my interest was the dragon. It wasn't the dragon in which I had seen earlier since this one looked small and less frightening. I remember reading it somewhere in a book that these type of dragons were called Aeralfos.

The Aeralfos flapped around for a bit and as soon as it brought its red and yellow shield, I instantly got out my clawshot because the shield looked like it can bring down the dragon. I was proven right.

Hurriedly, I hacked away the dragon as many times as I can before the Aeralfos leaped back as it avoided my swing from the sword. It then pushed itself up to hover around the air once again. I grunted when the shield was painfully rammed straight into my jaw and then I also used my shield to "stun" the pain in the butt dragon for a few moments. It was enough for me, anyway. Once again, the dragon flew into the air and I waited. Finally, the pesky creature was brought to its doom, making the metal gates to slide open as well as the upper gates.

I used the targets to help me to reach the upper gates and a treasure chest greeted me. After pulling down the beehive, I used the Oocco to fly myself to the other side since there was yet another door; I entered in once I got to the other side.

In this room, there was a lot of flying into the air with the help of the Oocco. I felt light-headed everytime I kept on using the wind vent but I was just glad that I was done. But the hard thing about using the Oocco was with the steering. I had nearly crashed into a wall whenever I used those odd sky beings.

Um…it's a long story.

Midna kept on muttering about my stupidity.

"You try steering with these." I muttered, angrily as I massaged my aching face.

She only smirked.

"Let the crocodile tears run!" I snickered when the pots that were surrounding the lifeless wind vent flew up once the vent was activated.

Midna stared at me, questioning about my sanity. "I don't know how to tell you this but…they're pots."

"I know." she gave a look. "It's a saying." I replied, hastily and she nodded.

So, yeah. That's pretty much how the wind vent flying went…

I was now in a room—a circular one—so I looked down and saw that my goal was to go down. After all, that was the only way to go.

Just like many times, I got myself to work. I groaned when my shoulders were aching by the time I was halfway through the room. I did a small shoulder roll on both sides, hoping to ease the ache; it did little. Once puffing out a sigh, I got back to work.

Midna winced when I got smacked against the cold hard wall and I slid down like a ragged, limped doll.

"Tired?" Midna guessed.

I nodded once I was sprawled out. My eyes were pleading me to close them since they kept on dropping with fatigue and heaviness but I refused.

I don't want to sleep in a room where it was full of enemies.

Almost like a zombie, I continued to do my…work.

I finally reached the very bottom of the room and proceeded to go through the new room. I lowered myself down once I activated the beehive in order to stop the wind vent. I was now in a room that looked like it was made for a mini boss.

And, I was right.

Just like that, something whizzed past by me so fast that I didn't had the time to see it. Hearing the same sound, I turned around but nothing was there. However, when I turned around, I was instantly met with the Aeralfos that slightly lowered itself down but it was still hanging in the air.

It gave out a horrible shriek, forcing me to cover my ears. The animal flew to the side for a bit until it placed its shield in front of itself and I used my clawshot. Since it had the same tactics as the previous Aeralfos, it was easy to beat.

Right?

The first stage was completed. The reason why I said first stage was because it had a second stage which I found out in a hard way. The dragon zoomed in and out of the room in a blur. However, my back was facing the dragon who was behind me (I was unaware) but then since I thought I heard the sound of flapping wings, I quickly turned around only to see the sharp claws snatching my shoulders.

The claws picked up, letting me to fly with the dragon before it brutally slammed me against the hard cement wall. I felt my bones rattling upon the rough impact as I fell down to the ground. For a moment, I was dazed until I shook my head to get myself in order.

Damn Dragon.

The winged-creature then (once again) rammed its body right into me, causing me to fall on the ground. The creature didn't get off me since it raised its sword so I was stupid enough to use one of my arms as a shield which allowed the sword to slash below the shoulder and up to my elbow.

Frowning, I quickly snatched my sword that had been clattered out of my grasp (but I was just lucky that it didn't scatter too far) and rammed the hilt of the sword at the Aeralfos's face. It gave out a short howl of pain, making me to be able to kick him off.

With a side way twirl, I plunged the sword into the dragon's chest, ending him at last.

That was a tough battle…

But I'll admit. The battle with the Darknut from Temple of Time was even tougher…

Breathing out a sigh, I looked up to see the golden gates open to reveal a chest. Because there were targets up at the ceiling, I used the clawshot to get myself over there.

Curiously and excited to see what was in it, I opened the chest only to have my eyes gleamed with excitement.

It was another clawshot.

Awesome!

Midna rolled her eyes at my enthusiasm.

"You're such a kid."

"But it's a double clawshot! How many people can have that?"

Silence.

"Yeah that's right. None! Only the Mighty Hero can!" I proclaimed, shoving the double clawshots up in the air while a faint breeze came in, whipping my hair.

Midna face-palmed at the almost dramatic scene. "Let's hurry up and find the last shard."

I pouted. "That's all you ever talk about ever since we started to look for those. Mirror shard this and Mirror shard that. I know it's important to you but can't you talk about something else?" I asked.

Midna glared at me. "If you were in my place, Link, you wouldn't stop talking about that!" she spat, angrily before she hid herself back in the shadow.

"What did I do?" I wondered.

I then got out of the mini boss room quite quickly.

Having double clawshots is freakin awesome!

A/N: I agree with Link. Double clawshots are awesome! But the Master Sword still remains the best weapons ever! Say…this got me an idea…
