The next day, Kodi was waken up by Balto. He seemed to be in a real rush.

"Kodi! Aleu is having her pups! Come quick! We need to make sure they don't look like you!"

"She's already having them? It's a little early!"

The father and son took off running to the boat. Kodi was outrunning Balto, he was so anxious to see the pups. Star better be there to watch the birth of his pups! Kodi ran onto the boat to see the first puppy out.

"I'm here, Aleu!"

"Oh Kodi! Thank you for coming!"

"I wouldn't miss it! Keep going Aleu!"

The first pup looked just like Aleu! The second one looked similar to Balto.

"Ah! Four more!" Aleu yelled.

She just kept pushing. The third one showed it's head. Bad news Bears! It had Kodi's fur line! And just what they need is Steele sneaking his head over the side of the boat. That's exactly what he's doing!

Jackpot! Victory is mine! Steele immediately thought. Kodi had his head turned away. He didn't want to watch his own sister give birth! Balto grabbed the pup that looked like Kodi as soon as it came out. The rest of the family was on another part of the boat. It was only Aleu, Kodi, Balto, Star, and Steele sneaking over the side.

"Kodi… Aleu… uh…"

"Fourth one is coming, papa!"

Balto saw the head of this one. More bad news was coming. This one also looked like Kodi.

"How… are they looking, papa!?"

Balto and Star looked at each other. Star knew this was bad. This was bad for the whole family! Balto went up to Kodi.

"Uh… Kodi… um…"

"Are they out yet, dad?"

"No, five is on it's way. But… close your eyes and look down."

Kodi did just that. Balto set the two pups down in front of Kodi.

"Open them…"

Kodi did just that. As soon as he saw the two pups, all the hope inside of him had left. It was as if every circuit breaker had popped.

"Oh crap…"

The fifth one that came out was another one that resembled Kodi.

"We have another one," Star said.

"Last one, guys!"

Kodi faced his sister's way.

"I got nothing to lose. I'll watch the last one come out."

This was not going to help their case. They'd be lucky if they weren't exiled again. Kodi watched his sister give birth. According to everyone at this point, he had mated with her, so watching her give birth wasn't going to change anything.

Aleu was unaware of the three pups that resembled Kodi. The last one that came out resembled Star a little bit, but it wasn't enough to overturn the rest of the evidence. It was inevitable that things were going to go bad. They will never be the same!

"Let me see my pups!" Aleu said.

Kodi set the three pups that didn't resemble him by Aleu.

"Come on Kodi, I gave birth to six pups!"

"Aleu… I…"

"Let me see them, Kodi!"

Aleu had no idea what was coming. Kodi pulled out the three pups that resembled him. As soon as Aleu saw them, she almost passed out. It happened… they resembled Kodi. They're screwed. There was no going back! Steele's plan had worked!

Steele jumped off the boat and ran into the forest, laughing his ass off. It was his victory! His plan had worked! He'll be allowed back into town! Yukon, Dingo, and Saba came up onto the boat.

"Damn we missed it!" Dingo said.

Dingo was hoping to be there during the birth. Yukon was the only one who put any thought into the fact that three pups look like Kodi.

"You mated with your sister!" Yukon yelled.

He was now angered. Yukon didn't get angry easy, or as he someone you wanted to be around when he was. He approached Kodi at a rapid rate. Kodi backed away feeling helpless.

"No! Yukon! This really isn't what it looks like!" Kodi said desperately.

"You mated with your sister! The evidence it right there! Those three pups look just like you! You lied to me! You lied to dad! You lied to everybody in Nome!You made your other mate look like a complete idiot! How does that make you feel!?" Yukon scolded.

Yukon went to attack Kodi. Balto, Star, and Dingo jumped in at the right time.

"Yukon! Calm down! They're my pups!" Star said.

"Aleu carried the red fur gene! That's why they're red! It was Aleu! Not Kodi! The red fur is a dominant trait! Think about it! That's why all of you but Aleu are red!" Balto explained.

"I would never do that Yukon! I'm offended that you think I would!" Kodi said.

Yukon calmed down and walked towards Aleu.

"How are you, big sister?" he asked.

"Don't call me, that Yukon. You were born right after I was! I'm fine though!"

"Aleu, be honest, did you and Kodi mate?" Yukon asked at almost a whisper.

"No, Yukon! We didn't! I mated with Star, and I love him!"

"Alright, I'm just kind of on the edge about this."

Kendo, Zoltan, Nunivat, Kaltag, and Nikki came out to see the three pups that resembled Kodi. Zoltan and Kendo gave Kodi a look.

"What is this?"

"Genetics. That's what it is!" Kodi growled.

Aleu wasn't going to let this affect her love for her new pups. Now comes a new challenge, naming them.

"Kodi, Star, you each name a pup."

"I can't… they're not my pups!" Kodi said.

It was clear that he was about ready to break down.

"Well isn't this an inconvenience!" Steele taunted.

Steele walked onto the boat. Immediately, Balto got ready to attack.

"I should kill you right now!" Balto yelled.

"That would be good for yourself. But that wouldn't help you at all would it? See, I can confess to the town that I lied to them, because I haven't confessed yet. That's the only hope you have in not having your lives become hell. So you need me alive!"

Balto let off. Steele was right. It's unfortunate, but it's true.

"Can you please confess to the town about it?" Aleu asked.

"No, I want my glory back!"

"But Steele, you can still have it back! If you confess to the town, I can tell them we mated! After a little bit of explaining, you'll be right back to having respect!" Kodi offered.

"No thanks, mutt! I want it all to myself! But thanks for the offer!"

Kodi went up to nudge Steele and beg him to confess it all to Nome. When Kodi tried to, Steele shoved him down. Balto got back in attack position as well as the rest of the family.

"Steele!… Why?"

"Your dad won't let us be together. Don't want him getting mad!"

"Steele, you can be with Kodi!"

"Too late, mutt! I'm taking the glory in Nome, and there's nothing any of you can do about it!"

Steele jumped off of the boat and ran towards the town. Kodi ran to a corner on the boat and cried there.

"Everything in my life is gone!" Kodi cried.

"You still have us, Kodi!" Aleu helped.

"Yeah! But that's it! I have nothing else!"

Dingo once again chased down Steele.

"Hey! Get over here!"

Steele stopped in his tracks.

"What do you want!?"

"I want you to tell everyone you lied and that those red pups really belong to Star!" Dingo shouted.

Plenty of dogs heard "Red pups." They all gathered around Dingo and Steele.

"You hear that!? Red pups! Sounds a lot like Kodi doesn't it!? Same fur line and everything!" Steele said.

"Dingo, what is this!?" a dog asked.

"There's three pups that look like Kodi! Red fur was a dominant trait! You see that in me and four of my brothers and sisters!"

"Yeah, but that sister that gave birth was brown like your dad!" Steele said.

"And she is a carrier of the red fur!"

Dingo was getting angry and already losing hope.

"Dingo, stop defending your brother before you get yourself exiled as well! You're lying to us!" another dog said.

"I'm not lying! Steele is!"

"The evidence is right there, Dingo! Stop trying to argue about it!" Steele said.

Dingo got close to Steele.

"Stop lying to these dogs! Genetics is a strong thing! Aleu is a carrier of the red fur! She passed it down to her pups without Kodi's help!"

"Whatever makes you happy, Dingo!"

Kirby, Dusty, and Ralph came up to where Dingo and Steele were arguing. They had heard the whole argument.

"Dingo, what is this? Why are you still defending Kodi?" Dusty asked.

"Because Kodi did nothing wrong! Star got Aleu pregnant! Three pups are red because Aleu had the red fur trait that was recessive for her!"

"Check yourself before you wreck yourself, Dingo!" Steele said.

Dingo was on the edge of popping. He was so angered, he was about to cuss out everyone around him.

"This dog had lied to you for so many years! When you finally caught him, he ran out of town! When he came back, he lied to you again, and you caught him!This isn't any different!"

"You're about to get yourself exiled!" a dog said.

There was an uproar in the crowd of dogs.

"You're close to getting yourself kicked off the team! You're lying to us and proving to us that you approve of incest!" Kirby said.

Dingo snapped.

"YOU CAN'T FIRE ME FROM THE TEAM!" he roared.

"Just because you're the lead dog doesn't mean we can't fire you!" Ralph said.

"YOU CAN'T FIRE ME! I QUIT!"

Dingo shoved the dog in his path back to the boat away and ran off.

"Wait! Dingo! Don't quit! We need you!" Kirby said.

Dingo gave everyone a birdie. He ran onto the boat.

"What happened, Dingo?" Yukon asked.

Kodi was still in the corner, crying. Dingo took the heat out on his family.

"I'LL TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED! THANKS TO STEELE, KODI'S LIFE IS NOW A LIVING HELL! WHILE I'M BUSTING MY ASS TO GET THE POINT OUT TO ALL THOSE IGNORANT CANINES, YOU ALL ARE SITTING ON YOUR BUTTS! BIG HELP YOU ALL ARE!"

"Dingo, I'm sorry!" Yukon said

"YEAH! YOU SHOULD BE! KODI IS CRYING IN THE CORNER AND NONE OF YOU ARE HELPING HIM! SOME FAMILY YOU ARE!"

"Calm down! We don't need to be getting mad at each other!" Balto said.

"SHUT UP, DAD! YOU TURNED YOUR BACK ON KODI FOR BEING GAY! YOU'RE NOT A GOOD GUY EITHER!"

"Hey! I came back! If you have a problem, go to your team mates and leave here!"

"I QUIT THE TEAM DAD! THEY WERE AGAINST KODI! I'M NOT GOING TO RUN WITH THEM!"

"Please just calm down! I've messed up! I know I did! But I don't want to fight like this!"

"Don't talk to me! Unless it's about Kodi, or you are Kodi, leave me alone!"

Dingo ran off the boat angered. The only place he was welcome anymore was with his boy.

"Only Matt can make me feel better!"

Balto stood there also starting to get angered.

"Are you ok, Balto?" Star asked.

"Everyone go home! Everyone off except, Kodi, Aleu, and the pups!"

Kendo, Zoltan, Yukon, Nunivat, Saba, Jenna, Kaltag, and Nikki left. Star stayed hoping Balto would let him. He did NOT want to go home to Ralph.

"Balto… uh…"

"You can stay if you help take care of your pups!"

"Thank you!"

Balto needed time to himself. That's why he kicked everyone off. He still had 4 dogs! No, 10! 10 dogs!

"If you need me, I'll be… I don't know where I'll be!"

Balto ran off his own boat and into the trees.
