It had taken him weeks to find her new base of operations, and even longer to figure out a way in without being detected, but Ward finally had the one person who could give him what he wanted. He crept silently into the laboratory were Reyna stood over a variety of chemicals and vials.
"Long time no see Ward. I was beginning to worry we might never meet again," Reyna drawled smoothly, not looking up from the purple fluid her was studying. Ward said nothing as he straitened out of his crouching position and continued walking toward where Reyna stood.
"So what brings you to my humble abode? I assume you're not here for an in depth conversation in my belief in the wonders of evolution," Reyna continued, turning to face Ward with a smug smile on her lips. "I need a dose of the GH-325. I know you know how to make it so don't play," Ward answered coldly.
"Really?" Reyna replied, raising an eyebrow as she folded her arms, "And what exactly do you need it for? Surely it's not for someone on Coulson's team, whom you claimed to have no attachment to. Or have you had a change of heart?" "What I need it for is none of your concern. All you should be worried about it getting it for me before I get too trigger happy," Ward snapped, pulling out the firearm and leveling it to her head.
"I do hope you have something more exciting for me, because your weak threats are not convincing me in the slightest," Reyna sighed, turning back to the lab table. Ward stepped forward and tossed a file on the table.
"Donnie Gill, student at S.H.I.E.L.D. academy until he was expelled for developing ice based weapons for Quinn and nearly destroying the school. Apparently he has started exhibiting abilities to control and produce ice himself. This has his location and all the records of his powers' progression. Now where is the GH-325," Ward barked out as Reyna picked up the file and began leafing through it.
She smile, raising her eyes to Ward's, "This must be pretty important if you went through all this trouble." Ward once again stayed silent as Reyna turned and walked through a door labeled "Mixture Samples". She returned after a minute and pressed the small vial into Ward's hand.
"You're sure this will work?" Ward asked, his mask slipping to show the barest hint of worry and a little fear. "I never disappoint," Reyna replied softly, then picked up the file on the lab table, flipping through the pages while beginning to pace. Ward stayed where he was for a moment, clasping the vial tightly in his hands before making his way out of the building and back into the night.
