Chapter 15
When Darkness Falls
Dusk POV
"I'm bored," Amber groaned, from her upside down position on the couch, "There's nothing to do!"
"Your face is red. But what about that game Ben got the other day?" I asked, looking up from my laptop, "It looked like fun,"
"Disk Wars? Well, yeah it should be good. Encom makes the best games ever," Amber said, flipping upright and letting the blood run back to its normal placing, "But it needs two players, not one and Ben's out getting the kids,"
She looked at me with a new light.
"Maybe you could…" she started.
"Uh uh Miss Robertson," I growled, not looking up from the screen, "The last time I played with you you bit me,"
"It wasn't that bad,"
"It was on my neck!"
"Don't be such a baby!" Amber snorted, "Besides, that was Call of Duty, which you always win, not Disk Wars,"
"The only reason I win there is because Dad picks you up off the couch and sets you in your little Corner of Shame because you get way too competitive,"
"Please?" Amber begged, getting on her knees and scooting closer to me.
I held my laptop up as she grabbed my arm and yanked.
"Please, please, please?"
"I'm busy!" I protested.
"Doing what?!"
I looked at her.
"Hacking,"
She opened her mouth but I was saved from answering by my knight in an electric blue Chevy Volt.
"Ah, great!" I yelled down as the kids piled out from Jolt and Ben followed, "Ben, you just saved me from playing Disk Wars with Amber,"
"You've got Disk Wars!?" Raf demanded.
Amber's eyes lit up.
"You play?" she asked.
"Well…yeah," Raf admitted, "It's my favorite game…other than Space Paranoids…"
"Which I beat you in!" Jack pointed out.
Raf ignored him.
"And Tron," he finished.
Amber picked up a controller and tossed it to Raf.
"Strap yourself in, Program," she grinned, "Let the Games begin!"
I shook my head and went back to my little fun project.
"What are you doing?" Jack asked, making me jump.
"A little thing called privacy?" I growled, "If you must know I'm hacking,"
"Hacking who?"
"Might want to get your nose out of my business before it gets singed off," I threatened, snapping my fingers and letting a wisp of flame dart out.
Jack held up his hands, "Sorry I asked,"
"Eh don't worry about it, Jack," Ben consoled him, "She gets cranky when she finds a firewall she can't bypass in three seconds,"
"'Cons?" Jack asked.
"Nope," I replied, popping the 'p', "It's human. A business…in computers…"
Ben caught on, starting to laugh. I shot him a black glare.
"Dusk, that firewall has been in place since the 80s…surely it's weak," he said.
"You'd be surprised how tough this little bugger is," I growled darkly as my fingers flew over the keys.
Jack POV
Watching Dusk hack was an experience in itself. Comparing her to Raf…it was eerily similar yet so different. For one, both of them get that far away, yet focused, look in their eyes while their hands fly over the keys. Dusk however…she hums while she does it. It's not a song of anything, it's a continuous high pitched tone that pitches upwards and falls again every so often as well as a continuous rumbling noise that purred in her throat.
"She's humming," I stated.
"It's how all 'Bots hack," Ben explained, "Mom says that the 'Con that attacked the SOCCENT base a while back did the same thing. Dusk and the other 'Bots don't do it when Mom's around because Mom freaks when she hears it,"
He bowed his head.
"She lost a lot of good friends that day," he finished.
"I'm sorry,"
"It's an occupational hazard," Ben told me, "But I'm surprised Dusk's already hacking that way,"
"Why?" I asked.
"She only resorts to the sonic hacking when she's frustrated,"
"And I have good reason to be!" Dusk snapped, turning towards us, "Now shush!"
"You hacked the Pentagon in under a minute," Ben pointed out, "Surely this should be easier,"
She hissed at him (like a freakin' cat!) and went back to work.
"Well…she's mad," I stated, sitting on the couch.
"That ought to teach you not to mess when her when she's hacking," Jolt chuckled, poking Ben gently in the side.
"Aw shuddup," Ben growled, smacking the offending servo.
"Will you all please be quiet?" Ratchet snapped, his azure optics glaring at us.
"Sure, whatever you say…" Ben started before coughing into his hand, "Hatchet,"
"I heard that!" Ratchet growled, his back to Ben.
"A killjoy," Ben coughed again.
"That too," Ratchet said.
"A stick-in-the-mud,"
"And that,"
Ben stuck out his tongue and Ratchet shook his helm.
"Children," the red and white medic huffed.
Suddenly, Amber let out a scream of indignation.
"NO FRAGGIN' WAY!" she screeched.
"AMBER!" Dusk roared, right as 'Bee let out an irritated whirr, "QUIET!"
"But…But he just beat me!" Amber whined, "He cheated!"
"I did not!" Raf retorted, picking up his backpack and sitting next to me on the couch, "You just didn't see me coming,"
"I want a rematch," Amber growled.
"Maybe later," Raf suggested, "My fingers hurt,"
I leaned in as Amber huffed, stalking over to the railing and hopping on the top rail, drumming on it with her drumsticks.
"Your fingers don't hurt," I whispered.
"Yeah, but she doesn't know that," Raf whispered back, "Dusk and Ben weren't kidding when they said she was really competitive!"
Suddenly, Ratchet stood bolt upright.
"Optimus! There is something you ought to see…"
The Prime came up and took a look at the screen.
"I had hoped that my growing expertise on the subject would remain purely academic…" Ratchet started, "But…though faint…this is clearly a dark energon signature and it's moving fast…"
"Megatron," Optimus growled softly.
Great, just a few days that the monster's been back and he's already on the move.
"Where'd he find more of the bad stuff?" Arcee asked as she and Bulkhead came up.
"And what's he going to do with it?" Bulkhead snorted, "Recruit another army of the undead?"
Miko looked up from her drawing and perked up a bit while Amber stopped mid-drum and her eyes sparkled mischievously.
"Zombiecons?" Miko asked.
I fixed her with a glare…which she really just ignored.
"We cannot rule out the possibility," Optimus said, "Especially since Megatron seems to be heading to a familiar site,"
He turned to the others as the signal stopped.
"Megatron has barely emerged from stasis…"
'Bee shuddered slightly, absentmindedly rubbing his helm. Megatron had hitched a ride in the 'Bee's processor…and had basically controlled him. Nearly killing Ratchet, Dusk and Raf as well as leading to the Dark Lord's reawakening. Dusk had stopped her hacking and looked up at her brother sympathetically while Raf bowed his head, closing his eyes.
"And it seems that he is already making up for lost time," Optimus finished, giving Bumblebee an understanding look, "Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Ratchet, prepare to roll out. Arcee, Jolt, Dusk…"
"Groundbridge duty," Jolt nodded, "Stay safe,"
"Yeah…bye…" Dusk said distractedly waving her hand, "Stay safe, scrap 'Cons, see ya later…"
Arcee shook her head at Dusk's response.
"Don't do anything that would make 'Lita have a fit," she told Optimus.
The Prime shook his helm.
Who was 'Lita? And why did Arcee want Optimus to not do anything that would make this 'Lita mad?
"Don't even think about it," Ben warned Miko and Amber as the mechs went towards the Groundbridge…while Ratchet protested.
The Japanese exchange student looked up innocently from her drawing, gave him a shocked expression, before turning back to her drawing.
"Who? Moi?" Amber replied, "I am wounded, Benjamin Castora, wounded to the core!"
"Go get 'em Bulkhead," Miko called, bored, "Bring the hurt!"
There was a loud crash of metal hitting metal, making Raf and I jump while Ben nearly fell of his perch on the railing on the other side of Dusk.
I looked at Raf.
"That's not like Miko and Amber to not want to go," I said.
"They're definitely up to something…" Raf replied.
"Right," I answered, pointing at Miko and Amber, "Who are you and what have you done with Miko Nakadai and Amber Robertson?"
No answer.
"Evil clones?" I whispered to Raf.
He nodded.
"Definitely…"
The Groundbridge fired up…and Miko and Amber both bolted for it.
"Makin' a break!" Ben shouted, getting up and running after them, and immediately tripping over the crate, "Ow! Jack! Raf! Get 'em! I…ow…ow OW!"
He rubbed his ankle and we did as he said, running down the stairs.
The girls leaped over the last five steps, Raf and I hot on their heels, and sprinted past Arcee and into the Groundbridge.
I felt a surge of energy and I raced forwards, grabbing Miko's arm as she and Amber started into the Groundbridge.
"Not safe!" I stated, dragging her back.
Amber latched onto Miko's other arm and yanked her back, Raf grabbed my arm and we all had a little tug-of-war.
"I am not going to miss my first zombiecon throwdown!" Miko shouted, jerking her arm out of my grip.
"Miko! Amber!" I groaned as Raf and I chased after them…
And out into a canyon.
"We need to get her before the Groundbridge…" I started, right as the green vortex flickered shut, "Closes. Great, just great,"
I climbed up the pile of boulders that Miko and Amber situated themselves onto.
"Let's see some fight of the living dead already!" Amber cried, excitedly.
"Amber! Miko!" I hissed, getting down beside them, "What were you thinking!?
"They weren't," Raf replied, earning him an icy, amber glare from Miko and an equally cold sea green glare from Amber.
"Hey!" Amber protested, "We totally missed out last time!"
"This could be our only chance to take some snaps!" Miko added.
She searched her pockets…a look of horror spread across her face.
"My cell phone!" she whispered, "I must have dropped it back at base!"
"Don't worry, I've got mine," Amber placated her, searching her own pockets before heaving a sigh of disgust.
"Oh…right…I forgot. It died on me," she grumbled, crossing her arms.
I looked up at the battle that had commenced between our 'Bots and Starscream before looking back at Miko.
"We're in the middle of a firefight and all you two can think about are your stupid phones?!" I sighed.
Raf POV
"I need that phone, thank you very much!" Miko retorted.
"For what?" Jack demanded.
"You got a problem with that…Jackie-boy?" Amber demanded
"You did not just call me that,"
"I think I just did,"
Jack gritted his teeth.
"Fine! Yeah, I do have a problem," he snapped, "You both and your constant running off, your Bulgarian shriek metal, your belief that you're invincible, and we can't forget your crazy stunts…"
"Your stiffness!" Miko snapped back, "Your mother hen-ness, the way you freak when something doesn't go as planned! You won't stop and live a little! Oh! And don't forget Helicopter Mom!"
"Leave my mother out of this," Jack snarled.
"Oh, would you like me to bring in your Dad instead?" Miko demanded.
Jack's eyes flared a bright electric blue and I winced. This would not end well. I just knew it. I've known Jack the longest out of any of us, we've been friends since he saved my laptop from Vince…and got himself beat up in the process. He told me about his Dad having to leave and he was very touchy on the subject.
"Let me put it simply," he ground out, "Leave my family out of this discussion. You don't have a clue what happened. You never will. You have both parents. Both of you do. I just have my mom. We're it. There's no one else,"
"Never will huh? Maybe we can ask the Hatchet if that's even possible," Miko snarled, "We could call him…oh wait…I don't have my phone! UGH! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU MADE ME LOSE MY PHONE!"
"AND MINE TOO!" Amber yelled.
"Oho," Jack snorted, "Since when is this my fault?!"
The Groundbridge fired up…and so did a second one…
The three kids stopped their fighting and stared at the two Bridges.
"What the…?" Jack started.
"Two Groundbridges?" I asked.
"YOU THREE!" Ratchet shouted, "Into our Groundbridge! NOW!"
"Come on," Jack growled, latching onto Miko's arm and dragging her towards the Groundbridge.
Amber growled under her breath but followed after him, grabbing my hand and taking me with her.
The Groundbridge gave a horrible, whining sound that I had heard once before…right before our washer literally exploded.
"JACK!" I yelled, right as he froze, royal blue eyes wide and frightened.
"MOVE! NOW!" he yelled and we all sprinted forwards…
Right as the Groundbridge exploded around us.
I hit the ground hard, scraping my hands and tearing holes in my shirt's sleeve, Amber hit the ground next to me, landing on her ankle in an awkward way. She gave an ear splitting scream and clutched it while the others fell headlong onto the rocks.
I groaned, sitting up and rubbing my very sore arm…noticing the faint flash of white on my skin where my birthmarks were. I pulled the cloth of my sleeve over it, hiding it from view as the others sat up.
"Owwww!" Miko moaned.
"You guys ok?" Jack asked as he sat up.
"Yeah," I answered, "I think so…"
"Amber?" Jack asked.
"Fine," she replied, waving him off, "Never better,"
Bulkhead groaned as he got up to his pedes and we turned around.
"W-What just happened?" he asked.
"I can't be certain…" Ratchet started, "But if two Groundbridges sent to the same co-ordinates crossed streams…the feedback could've triggered a system overload."
"Could?" Amber demanded, "Hel-lo! More like totally di-id!"
"The kids made it through...right?" Bulkhead asked.
"Huh?" I demanded.
"What's he talking about?" Jack asked.
"Bulkhead! We're right here!" Miko yelled, pointing at herself.
"Arcee," Optimus started, "Did the children make it safely back to Base?"
I couldn't hear her reply…but the frown that Optimus gave said it all.
"No sign," Ratchet said, obviously answering Arcee's comm.
"What!? No sign!? Okay seriously Bulk..." Miko started…
Right as Bulkhead stepped right through her!
She shrieked and Jack held her upright.
"He went right through you…" Jack whispered.
But…but doesn't that normally mean…
"W-we're not alive!" Jack exclaimed, panicking slightly.
"I don't want to be a ghost!" I squeaked, tugging on Jack's arm.
"Wait…" Jack started, "How can we still touch each other?"
The Autobots were moving away…
"Follow them," Jack ordered as they ran, "Maybe we'll get some answers…"
He helped Amber to her feet but she gave a yelp as she put pressure on her ankle.
"Amber?" Jack asked.
"I-It's fine," she growled through gritted teeth, "C'mon, let's go,"
"Ratchet, could the children have been transported onto the Nemesis instead?" Optimus asked.
"Not likely," the medic replied, "if Starscream didn't arrive at our base…the most likely explanation is a dislocation. The children may simply have been Bridged to an unintended destination."
"Another place but in the same place," I said to myself.
"W-What do you mean?" Jack asked.
"We're probably in a different dimension, some sort of alternate reality, a Shadowzone." I explained.
"Nerd alert," Amber announced, making Miko snicker.
"Says the video game nut," Jack deadpanned.
"There's nothing wrong with that!" I snapped defensively.
"Look," Optimus said, snapping us out of our fighting, "Skyquake's tomb is empty,"
"How did we miss Skyquake rising and shining?" Bulkhead asked.
"It would seem Starscream got what he came for," Ratchet said.
"Another matter for another time," Optimus added, "right now our priority is locating Jack, Amber, Miko and Rafael. Arcee, Bridge us back to Base,"
The Groundbridge opened…but something um…something called for my attention even more than the Groundbridge…
It was a mech…a very slow moving, very big mech. And it was heading towards our friends.
"ZOMBIE!" Amber shrieked.
"Skyquake," Jack whispered, "C'mon, we've got to warn the 'Bots!"
And we ran, well, Amber hobbled, towards our friends.
"Guys! Look out!" Jack shouted.
"BULKHEAD!" Miko screamed.
"It's right behind you!" I yelled.
Skyquake tried to slash Bulkhead with his talons…
They went right through him.
"Awesome!" Miko cheered, "It can't touch them either!"
Skyquake turned around…and roared, coming towards us!
"If that thing can't touch the bots…" Jack started.
"Just like we can't..." Amber added.
"Then we're trapped in the Shadowzone…with a Decepticon zombie!?" I finished, feeling very, very small and cold and scared.
"If we aren't ghosts now...we will be soon." Miko said in a small voice.
Amber POV
I tried to move but daggers of pain shot through my ankle, making me hiss in protested. Oh Primus, I think I broke it…
"Amber…can you run?" Jack asked, his eyes flicking towards my ankle in concern.
"I-I dunno," I stammered, and Jack looped my arm over his shoulders.
"Three-legged race remember?" he asked and I nodded.
Yeah, um…that didn't end well. I got paired with him and we ended up falling down the first step. I dragged us across the finish line because neither of us could get up.
"Guys…it's getting closer!" Raf reminded us.
"Run…RUN!" Jack shouted.
We ran around the canyon. Raf's foot suddenly got caught on a stone and he went sprawling.
"C'mon!" Jack shouted as he let go of me for a second, picked Raf up, grabbed me again and continued on.
"Jack! My glasses!" Raf cried.
Jack peered around the corner, right as Skyquake came into view.
"Way too dangerous," he whispered.
"I can't see without them!" Raf whimpered.
"What are you…90?" Miko demanded.
"Not. Helping!" Jack snapped.
"Fine!" Miko snorted, running out into the pathway.
"MIKO!" Jack yelled right as Miko dodged the monster, snatched up Raf's glasses and ran back towards us, thrusting the red plastic and glass into Raf's hands.
"Here ya go, Gramps," she replied, "Let's book!"
And we ran/hobbled away from the monster. Suddenly, Jack stopped.
"This isn't working," he growled, releasing me and bending down, "Up you get,"
"Jack…May I remind you that I'm no cream puff?" I started.
"Piggy back or Zombie chow, your choice," he snapped, his eyes flashing almost the exact color of Optimus' optics.
"Piggy back it is!" I replied, jumping on his back and feeling his hands clamp down on my wrists.
Primus! He's a lot stronger than he looks!
"Maybe we could set a trap?" I asked as Skyquake pursued us, "Try to crush it?"
"With what?" Raf asked, "Nothing around here is solid except us and the ground!"
"Well excuuuuuse me!" I snarked, "I don't see you coming up with any ideas Mr. Cheater-At-Video-Games!"
"Amber, I know you're hurt, but be nice," Jack ordered.
I sighed, leaning my head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Raf, it's the pain talking…if I don't keep talking then I'd be screaming," I said.
The boy shrugged and kept running.
Jack scanned the area.
"There!" he said, pointing at an outlet, "We can hide there for a bit…"
We ran towards the outlet and stopped panting.
"The best thing about zombies?" Miko started, trying to lighten up the mood, "…they're slow…moving…"
"Except in that World War Z movie," I pointed out, "Those buggers are fast!"
And there was a loud ringing.
"Is that your…" Raf asked.
"PHONE!" we all yelled as Jack picked up the call.
Arcee! It had to be!
"Hello? Arcee?" he asked.
Static.
"Nothing," Jack grumbled.
"Gee, imagine that!" I started, sarcastically, "The fourth dimension has lousy cell phone reception!"
Jack shot me a glare.
"Wait…guys, guys, guys the phone the phone rang," he began, a light flicking on, "We're getting a signal…"
"Maybe the Autobots can't see or hear us is because...we're, moving at hyper speed or something," Raf guessed.
"Do you think that, they could read us perhaps?"
"Texting!" Raf exclaimed.
"Text me!" Miko said, "If my phones back at the Base…maybe they'll see it!"
We all huddled in a circle as Jack started texting. He was just about to finish when I heard thuds…loud thuds…
Oh Primus…
"Uh…can you type and run?" Raf asked, looking up.
Jack's head snapped up and he scooped me up, somehow flipping me onto his back before sprinting off with Miko and Raf beside him while Skyquake shuffled after us.
"Déjà vu!" Miko suddenly cried.
"What?" Jack asked.
"This doesn't look familiar to you?"
"Not really."
"DUDE! We just ran one big circle!"
I saw something up ahead…it looked like…
"GUYS!" I shouted, "WATCH OUT FOR THAT…!"
Suddenly, we smacked into the obstacle and I fell onto my busted ankle, biting my lip to keep from screaming.
"Arm," I groaned as I sat up.
"Well…that wasn't there before," Jack said, rubbing his head.
"It must have gotten trapped in here during the explosion too!" Raf added.
"If it's solid, we can use it," Jack replied, pushing on the metal so that it faced Skyquake, "C'mon, help me get this moved!"
"Anyone know how to fire this thing?" I asked as we got it moved into position, "I don't see a trigger,"
"Starscream did something with his fingers…" Raf supplied.
Jack sat me against a wall while he and the others knelt down and grabbed the fingers.
"We have one shot," Jack said, watching the zombiecon closely, "We need to make it count,"
Skyquake took a step…then another…
"Hold," Jack warned.
Thud
"Hold…"
Thud
"If we hold anymore we're going to be paste!" Miko snapped.
"NOW!" Jack shouted, pushing on the index finger.
The missile fired and streaked towards the zombiecon, exploding on impact.
"Yes!" we cheered.
"How do you like us now?!" I crowed.
Skyquake, in response, roared at them….then his right arm fell off.
We stared at the arm as it twitched…and flipped upright, chasing after us.
"Come on, come on!" Jack yelled, picking me up and herding the two other kids away.
"How can the zombie arm move faster than the actual zombie!?" Miko demanded.
"World War Z!" I yelled.
"Don't ask me!" Jack replied, "I fail in science,"
"Yeah, we've noticed," Raf said.
Jack shot him a glare but we kept running, faster and faster…oh Primus the arm! It was getting closer!
"Oh come on!" Miko groaned, stopping, "This place is like one big merry-go-round!"
We were back at Starscream's arm.
Are. You. Fragging. Kidding me!?
"Skyquake?" came a voice in front of the group, "Your master summons you!"
Starscream.
"How'd that freak get in our dimension?" Miko demanded.
"He didn't," Jack corrected, "he can't see us,"
There was a tapping, metallic sound.
"Forget Starscream! We gotta run!" I cried tapping Jack's shoulder insistently and Jack turned to see the zombie arm coming our way, "...some more."
A Groundbridge opened in front of the kids.
"A Groundbridge portal?" Raf asked.
"That has to be our way out of here," Jack muttered.
"The Autobots saw our text!" Miko cheered.
"Ah, thank God!" I groaned, relaxing just a bit.
"If we go through…we run smack into Starscream," Raf reasoned, "And if we don't…"
"We're zombie chow," Jack added.
"Option three," Miko finished, "We keep running in circles,"
"I don't like either of those doors," I said, "Is there a fourth door?"
Jack's eyes gleamed brightly for a second and he got almost right up into the Groundbridge.
"Ok, follow my lead," he said, bracing himself.
Miko tugged on his arm while I tapped his shoulder
"Jack, what are you doing?" I demanded, "Go!"
"Wait," Jack ordered.
It got closer…
"JACK!" I shouted.
"NOW!" Jack yelled.
And we ran through the Groundbridge…
"Humans? Where did you vermin come...?" Starscream started right as the zombiecon servo launched out and grabbed Screamer's face.
I started laughing uncontrollably as Starscream…screamed…
"Wait! This isn't mine!" he howled right as a second Groundbridge opened and Prime walked out.
"Jack, Miko, Amber, Rafael…" Optimus started, "Inside, quickly…"
"No need to tell us twice," I said as we headed in…and I was met immediately by Dr. Williams.
"Of all the harebrained, stupid ideas, Amber Robertson," she growled as she took me from Jack, "This was the worst!"
"Wait…how'd you know I needed medical help?" I demanded.
"You have Mr. Darby to thank for that," Dr. Williams growled.
"Jack!" I whined, "Traitor!"
"Oh, so I guess letting you be zombie chow was preferable to having Dr. Williams's help?" Jack demanded.
"Lemme think on that…" I hummed, "Uh yeah! When she yells, she yells,"
"Amber…I haven't begun to yell yet," Dr. Williams snapped.
"Help me?" I begged, looking at Miko.
"You're on your own," she replied, looking terrified as Ben's Mom gave her a cold, icy green glare and as the 'Bots came back in.
"Look, if you're gonna blame anybody, blame me," Miko started as Optimus' royal blue gaze landed on her.
"And me," I added.
"I'm sorry," Jack interrupted, "Could you repeat that…like a couple dozen times?"
The girl shot him a glare.
"Miko, Amber," Optimus then said, "what you endured has been less than enough. We are just glad you are all safe."
"Guess it was a good thing you dropped this, too bad you didn't get any pictures though," Bulkhead started, handing Miko her cell phone.
"Nah, that's okay, I think after today I pretty much have 'zombie close up' seared into my brain," she replied, forming a picture frame in front of her face with her fingers.
"Yeah…me too," I agreed, sitting on the med bay's berth.
"Good," Dr. Williams replied, "Because young lady, you are grounded. Both of you,"
"This day just gets better and better, doesn't it?" I snarked, crossing my arms.
Dusk POV
I was glad that Amber and the others were safe. Pit, I'm glad they didn't get killed! But I do think that Ben's Mom was right in grounding Miko and Amber. Do I think that they're going to listen?
Pit. No.
I shook my head as I lay back on the couch. The kids had gone home and everyone else was asleep…well, except for Ben and me. I was continuing on my mission…Ben was watching me…
And trying to keep from laughing.
He didn't say anything…so I'll give him kudos for that.
"Almost got it…" I murmured as I typed a few more lines of code.
"Good, then that means we can get to bed," Ben replied.
I shushed him, typing a few more commands…
And then my computer screen went from black with lines of green code to the blue screen of death.
"GAH!" I roared, "CURSE YOU ENCOM AND YOUR LITTLE SECURITY PROGRAM, TRON!"
"Admit it, they're too good," Ben said.
I gave a low growl and pointed at the screen.
"I'll get you my pretty…and your little security program too!"
A/N Dusk, you should know better. You really should. I think next is Operation Breakdown, that might take a while because I don't have that one typed up in any way shape or form, just warnin' you. And then after that is Son of the Stars territory.
