Castiel had earned his land legs, literally. Walking with Sam and Dean he was amazed by the beach-like town. Down the side walk Dean had Cas walk with his arms around his own arm to balance him. Sam looked to Cas, he didn't get it. Naked men don't just pop out of nowhere. He sighed as he tried to figure out WHO he was. As they entered the cafe Benny worked at. Sitting down Dean made Cas sit since he was so amazed by everything and everyone. Benny came over raising a brow to the trio.
"Whose your friend?" Benny asked. Dean looked to Castiel. Cas looked worried, he wished he could say it. Maybe make the sounds of it? No that was a bad idea.
"I tried asking he doesn't talk. Sam and I think he's mute." Benny looked to Castiel a bit closely. Cas than remembered his books, he can write down the lettes. He pointed to Benny's pen and notepad. Benny blinked and handed them to Cas and the male concentrated hard, writing down his name. It was quite messy but Dean was able to read it. Since he taught his brother how to write. Cas offered the paper and pen to Benny and vampire looked at it carefully.
"... Castiel is is name. Don't know how to write that well huh?" Cas blushed to Benny's question and Dean sighed.
"It's okay that you don't know. Took Sammy a while to learn too." Dean smirked to his brother and Sam frowned. Cas smiled a bit and Dean laughed, "Look he smiles."
"What are we gonna tell Bobby?"
"Tell Bobby what?" The grumpy hunter asked and joined the three and Benny filled Bobby in what had just happened. Bobby looked to Castiel.
"Mute huh.. Poor kid.." Bobby said and Castiel puffed his cheeks and Bobby laughed, "Alright alright boy.. Might as well order."
"Usual for me." Sam said and Dean nodded as well, Cas looked at the menu confused. Some was fish and some was octopus. He made a disgusted look and Dean laughed.
"For Cas let's go with some fires." Dean said and Benny nodded, "And some juice." Benny patted Dean's shoulder And walked away after taking the menus. Cas stared out the window. Bobby looked to Dean raising a brow.
"You seriously found him by the shore looking through Benny's old bag of clothes."
"Yeah.. It's weird." Dean sighed and Cas looked happily to the people walking around in odd clothing. Sam laughed.
"First day of summer. it's quite the celebration."
"Remember we aren't here to site see." Bobby reminded as a waitress sat some stuff down. Castiel remembered. Their looking for them. His brother and himself. If only he could tell them. But that would be horrible.. After they ate and paid Sam, Dean, Bobby and Castiel walked out and down the side walk. Castiel looked around still and gasped and grabbed Dean's arm pointing to a performers nearby. A male was balancing on a large ball, others dancing and few acting things out. Cas pulled Dean's arm a bit gesturing to the performing groups.
"I think he wants you to go with him." Bobby laughed, Dean went to say no but Cas was giving a begging look. He sighed and wrapped his arm around the shorter male and glared at the two.
Dean was laughing when they entered the hotel room. Cas was smiling to Dean as Sam looked over from his laptop.
"How was the performers?"
"Great! You should have BEEN there! Cas was trying so hard to eat cotton candy!" Dean laughed and Cas pouted. He didn't know what it was but he tired, some cotton candy was still sticking to the male and Dean began to clean him up, "It's okay Cas I know it's sticky."
"How are you two even getting along?" Sam asked as Dean cleaned Cas' face up, "He can barely write, mute, and points to things or gestures." Dean looked to Sam frowning.
"Cas is like anyone else. Sure he doesn't say a word but he's a good kid." Dean riffled Cas' hair and the mer.. Well once merman blushed. Dean was so kind, he understood him somehow and it was amazing. Cas yawned and rubbed his eyes, "Looks like someone is tired. If ya wanna freshen up the bathroom is right there."
Cas looked and nodded, going to the bathroom and shut the door behind him. Looking around in amazement and remembered in one of his books people bathed in these things called tubs or showers. He hesitantly turned the shower on and smiled at the look that it turned on. Stripping himself of all clothes he hopped into the shower and closed the shower certain. Remembering what he learned from the books. Confused now as he stood under the water, what does he do now?
Dean sat down and sighed, he knew Cas was mute but something felt... Familiar, like they met before. Dean sighed and Sam huffed.
"The lore about mermen is weird... 'Rarest in the sea'?" Sam sighed and Dean shrugged.
"Maybe they are, maybe not." Dean suggested and both Sam and Dean sat up straight and looked to the bathroom, hearing the first thing out of Castiel's mouth. A yelp. A weird one at most, sounded more as a loud gasp but by first guess. Dean went into the bathroom and moved the shower certain and a shocked naked Castiel was standing there. Dean sighed and checked the water.
"Yikes! That is hot!"
"Gross! Talking about Cas?!"
"Shut up Sammy! The water not Cas!" Castiel blinked at Dean's comment and tilted his head and Dean turned the shower into a bath. Figuring it would be more comfortable and controllable. After making Cas plop his butt down Dean bathed Cas. Trying VERY hard not to get oddly aroused by the adorable mute before him. He was playing in the bubbles and happily enjoying the bath. Dean smiled and remembered how he and Sam would bathe together. Playing in the tub in a tub full of bubbles when John was gone. Of course John would scold them for doing such but Dean encouraged Sam when they were at Bobby's.
Once Castiel was clean and dressed in a pare of pajamas. Sam rose a brow to the now sleepy male and Dean allowed him to sleep on his bed, Sam than laughed.
"Where you gonna sleep?"
"In baby." Dean shrugged and Cas looked up. Wait baby means car and car means away from Dean and no Dean means no kiss and no kiss means no legs and no legs means he'll be alone for the rest of his life! Cas sat up and hit the bed pouting. Dean looked over and Cas patted the bed giving a stern look. Sam laughed.
"He clearly wants you in here." Sam commented and Dean found it hard to think of a way to say no. Because the look he was being given could kill.. Dean sighed removing his jacket and tossed it onto the table. Cas smiled and laid down again after making room for Dean amd fell asleep. Sam said his good nights and fell asleep. Dean smiled and noticed his wallet on the floor when he went to lat down after removing his pants. opening it and found a green sea flower in it, it was slightly wilted and squished. Dean blinked and looked to Castiel. Something was definitely off now. He doesn't know what, but he will find out.
"Keep looking!" Chuck yelled and the merpeople swam off. Chuck sighed and sat down in his throne. Chuck hasn't seen Castiel or Balthazar since he yelled at Cas, and Micheal said he saw him with Gabriel. And Chuck began to worry. Balthazar has been around waiting for his brother and best friend to come back. And Gabriel hasn't been seen since Micheal announced it, Chuck sighed stressfully and Lucifer swam up with a worried look.
"You alright father?"
"No... I'm not.. I cannot believe Castiel is gone.." Bathazar creased his brow. He hated seeing his father upset honestly. He clearly regrets yelling at Castiel. Balthazar swam up and spoke.
"Allow me to search for Castiel father! He is my brother and I'm deeply concerned.." Chuck looked to Balthazar and nodded, "I won't return till he is found." And so Balthazar swam off. Hoping he could by Cas some time.
In the morning Castiel was up before any of them. Excited for the day's events, he was getting into some clothes Dean had set out for him he heard a voice outside. Going he went to the balcony and looked over and saw Balthazar and Gabriel.
"Have you kissed lover boy yet~?" Gabriel asked and Castiel shook his head, "Damn.. Daddy dearest is looking for you Cas. He's searching the sea."
"We'll buy you some time okay? You got two more days three more nights!" Balthazar reminded.
"Ppppfffff!" Was Castiel's reply, Balthazar blew a raspberry back than two quickly swam off and Dean stood at the door confused, Cas blinked a bit.
"What are you 'ppfffing' about?" Dean asked and Cas blinked and thought of something quick and gestured a fish, "Mocking fish? Huh..." Dean gave a puzzled look and led Cas inside, Cas went to follow but saw his brother sticking his tongue out. Castiel did the same.
