As I walked down the cat walk by the ocean I just stared at my feet. People laughing and music surrounded me. Music so lively, it should make me happy. But I wasn't.. I wasn't at all.. I thought I saw Castiel earlier.. It was just another guy.. I was just, wasn't happy. People were dancing and singing to the music. I just was watching them dance happily from where I stood. Leaning back on the railing. Sam wouldn't leave me alone.. He's worried about me. Ever since Cas passed away.. Dried on the shore.. It was horrible site.. Sam said he found a wound on him. It was a cut near his tail. It was just.. Horrid. I can't describe it.. It's still so fresh in my head.

Castiel's flesh was completely dry. His lips chapped, his eyes closed, and his tail was completely dried. Fin at the very bottom of his three feet tail was torn. Holes were here and there. How did he dry up..? How did he just... Die?

"You okay?" I heard Sam say, I looked to him and he was giving me a concern look, "It's been a week since Cas died.."

"I'm fine." I quickly said as I cleared my throat, I was lying. I know I was.. I looked to Sam again and sighed, "Sammy I said I'm fine.." I said again and walked away. Of course Sam followed me. I couldn't help deny it.. I fallen in love with Castiel.. I was in love with that merman. I don't know what happened.. His eyes, even though he never talked but I knew so much about him.. And I just.. Fell in love with that. I don't know why or how but I did..

I miss him, his pouting, his excitement when it came to food. The look of wonder and excitement in his deep blue eyes.. So much.. Wonder.. I wish I could be with him longer than I would. I wish I could have kissed him. So he could be here with me. Walking with me and Sammy. Looking around and listening to our arguments. Laughing quietly and smiling brightly with that adorable toothy grin.

Am I in love with Cas? Of course! I.. I love everything about him. He's amazing.. As we walked down the catwalk we just walked through the crowd. We soon slowed down and went to buy food at a stand. But a familiar person walked by. I couldn't help but recognize the person walking by. Looked like Cas! Exact! Same frame and hair though I didn't see a face.

I ran. I ran as fast as I could to catch up with him. Sam's voice fading in the crowd's busy noise as I followed him. I wanted to know if it was him. The scales rattling around my neck. I was so close! He was leaning over the railing near the ocean. He looked as if he was talking to someone. No one was around. He wore a blue jacket and black jeans with converse. His short brown hair rustled in the small wind that went by. I cleared my throat and he turned.

"Yes?" He asked, his eyes... Bluer than the sky.. Bluer than the scales around my neck, ocean and all that are combined. I guess bluer than blue.. His dark brown hair moved softly. No mistake.. It was Castiel. He was talking to.. Gabriel and Balthazar! Along with... Another merman.. From what I saw as I walked closer. He had caramel colored hair and beard. He watched me from where he sat. I took a deep breathe and took Castiel.. Or who I thought.. Castiel's hands.. He looked confused to me. His eyes filled with.. Confusion yet trying to remember. As if he knew. I cleared my throat and began to speak. Hearing Sam's familiar foot steps behind me.

"You may not remember me.. But my name is Dean Winchester... You saved me from when the yacht caught on fire from the fire work.. I found you naked and afraid yet so determined.. You had my leather jacket.." I rubbed his hand with my thumb as I stepped closer to him. Our foreheads barely touching as he blushed. I noticed in the corner of my eye the sun was setting. I smiled and moved a hand to his cheek.

"Why.. Are you..?" Cas went to speak and I stopped him.

"Tell me though... Is your name Castiel..?" I asked and he looked into my eyes in shock than looked down, moving his fingers over the scales around my neck. They glistened in the sunset and rattled from Cas' touch. After a short moment Cas looked back to me.

"What if it is?" He smiled softly and he cupped my face, feeling the whiskers under his hands. Everything felt so perfect. Even if Cas' family was watching. Even if Sam was watching as well. Noticing the sound of guitar playing nearby apparently noticing our moment I chuckled and Cas smiled. Balthazar huffed pulling himself up tugging at my pants leg.

"Go on and kiss him already." He said a bit rudely but I shrugged and looked to Cas again and leaned in, placing my lips over his. Something felt so.. Perfect. People behind us were cheering. Not only in the ocean but in the crowds as well. It felt so.. So... Heh... I can't find the words to explain it. Castiel's arms wrapped around my neck and my arms around his hips. We soon parted, opening our eyes to look to one another. But Cas' attention was turned to the bearded merman.

"Father... This is Dean." Cas said and took my hands, "And I love him." He smiled and Cas' old man rose himself up using his trident. The people watch in amazement. A few fainting. And guessing were hunters.. Stopping fellow hunters not to attack. I guessed he was the leader of the merfolk. I held Cas' hands as he spoke.

"I heard of you through my sons. Castiel must truly care for you. He had told us that he awoke with human legs not long ago. Les than a week from today. And yet all he spoke of was you." He smiled and placed a hand on my shoulder. The look in his eyes were wise and well.. Weird, "Do you promise to care for my son..? He is the second youngest of my children. And truly determined to be with you after fending off Abaddon."

"Yes. I promise!" I said with pride and Cas smiled. The merman nodded and hugged his son one last time and left. The others left along with him and I noticed Sam and Gabriel sharing goodbyes.

I just knew.. Life would be good..

Sam's Point of View

We decided to settle on the beach. Cas works at Benny's cafe and Dean repairs cars. Me.. I work at a book store. I sighed and skipped some stones across the shore. Gabriel visits our apartment which has a balcony and doc to the ocean all the time. It's been a year since we settled here. I couldn't believe it's been that long since than.. Cas had to die as a mermaid to be human.. Which is weird. But made sense. As I went to toss another stone I froze, seeing a familiar figure behind a bolder. I went over to investigate but when I looked around there was nothing there. But I felt something poke my shoulder. Turning I saw them run. Messy light brown hair. I went to follow but they kept avoiding me. I didn't get it till I was tackled into the sand. Looking up to see Gabriel!

"H.. HUH?!" I asked and Gabriel laughed, "Did you..?"

"Daddy gave me legs~" Gabriel cooed and I smiled to him, "You gotta kiss me if you want me to be on shore~" He joked and I sat up, he wore a loose t-shirt and shorts. No sandals or sneakers. He moved my hair back and I blushed a bit and he took my hand. And without hesitation we both kissed. We smiled. Weird? Yeah.. We happily left the beach with some shoes for him and held hands. He had handed me a necklace. Like Dean's blue scaled necklace I had Gabriel's scales around my neck. We were soaked as well. We were playing in the beach too. Ha ha, Dean wasn't happy there was wet clothes everywhere. Castiel was shocked and two mermen were arguing about something. For some reason, and get this; Gabriel said someone had to keep an eye on Castiel!

"I don't buy it.." Dean said to me crossing his arms, I laughed and smiled looking to the brothers. And they seemed a bit stressed about being human. But I think they got it. I looked to Dean again and smiled.

"At least they can be together." I said and Dean smiled to me.

"This is gonna be insane living with fish men."

"Fishermen."

"HA!"
