Two weeks went by so fast. Hermione and Draco were at the train station waiting for the Hogwarts Express to pull in so that they may lay eyes on their sweet Ede. They knew that she was ready and excited to hear the news that they refused to divulge until she was in their sight. Harry, Ginny, and Albus were there also awaiting James' return. When the train pulled in a silver eyed blonde girl emerged and looked around brighteyed for her parents. Just then she spotted them and ran to them.
"Mom, Dad; how I have missed you both so much. Now what do you have to tell me?"
"Ede you can wait until we get home. Right now is not the place for such news."
"Ah, mom come on I have been waiting for two weeks if I don't find out soon I will burst."
Just then James walked over and joined the conversation. "Yes, Aunt Hermione please tell her. This all she has talked about for two weeks is what surprise you to have. She was about to drive me nuts."
"Dad I know you won't keep this secret from me until we get home. I'm your baby girl. You love me." Just then she gave Draco puppy dog eyes and he just laughed at her.
"Ede you know your puppy dog eyes stopped working on me when you were seven. You will find out when we get home."
They all parted and apparated back home. The house was beautiful. There was a large tree and a big box with Ede's name on it. She was so excited. No sooner than they entered the house an sat down Ede burst again. "Please tell we are home what is going on?"
Hermione and Draco looked at each other and then smiled.
"You go first Mione."
"Well Ede, your father and I have gotten back together and we are getting married in August."
"Yea, it's about time you two, but why are you waiting until August you should do it now."
"Well, sweetie," Draco started as he took Hermmione, "your mother is pregnant and we want to wait until the baby is born."
"Are you guys serious. This is the best Christmas ever. I am going to be a big sister yay!"
Eden had went back to school happy of the news that her parents were finally going to get married after all the years of pretended that they didn't love each other. She was especially excited about having a sibling. It was now February and the Malfoy annual Valentine day ball was upon them. Narcissa had always planned wonderful balls and this one would not be any exception. Usually Hermione helps her with all the planning and decorating but this year she could only help with the planning. If she would have tried to do anything other than that Draco would have had a fit. Hermione was now in her fifth month of pregnancy. At her last appointment she found out that not only was she having a boy but she was having twin boys. Now Draco was treating her like she was an egg. Sure she was a lot bigger than she was with Ede but, still she felt like all his extra precautions were unnecessary.
"Hermione isn't it enough that you were up late last night going over the final preparations now you have been here all morning. Don't you think you need to get some rest."
"Draco, in case you haven't noticed I am sitting down. I haven't done anything but point people in the right direction. Why are you being so protective? I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself and the babies."
"I am aware of that but I would feel a lot better if you would go home and rest."
Instead of arguing with him she just huffed and left via floo and went home. Even though she protested, a nap was just what she needed although she would never admit it to Draco. She woke up two hours before time so she decided to get ready so she can be ready when Draco arrives. When she had put her dress on she was looking at herself in the mirror and didn't notice that she wasn't alone.
"That's a lovely dress Hermione shows your baby bump well." Hermione turned around to find no other than Ron Weasley standing at her bedroom door.
"Ron what are you doing here? How did you get in?"
"You should have really changed your wards and locking spells."
"What how did you rem..."
"Remember your locking spells. Damn, Hermione I thought you were the brightest witch of our age but I see that you are just a stupid bitch. Even you should now that memory charms don't last long on pureblood wizards. I see you didn't waste anytime... I'm guessing that's another Malfoy brat."
"What the hell do you want? We are done so it doesn't matter whose child I am carrying. Leave Ronald."
"I am sick of always coming second to that asshole. You wouldn't give me any kids, but you will have all of his little brats. Why is that Hermione?"
"Don't you have enough with Lavender, yeah you didnt think I would find out that they were yours. Well here's what gave it away. They all have red hair you stupid fuck." No sooner than Hermione got that out of her mouth he charged her and beat her furiously. She fought him the best she could be she lost the fight when she hit her head on the dresser. The last thing she remembered was him saying. 'Now we are over.' Then everything went black.
"She should be upstairs Harry cos she's not down here mate" Draco said to harry as he appeared through the fire place along side Blaise. "Alright Drake I'll go check on her as you're not her biggest fan at the moment" Harry winked at Draco before walking out the room. He climbed up the stairs and knocked on the bedroom door softly. "'Mione, its Harry can I come in?" He knocked abit louder as she didn't answer. "'Mione?...I'm coming in" he opened the door quietly before shutting the door behind him. He looked around the room and then set his eyes apon an unconscious hermione laying in a small pool on blood by her head. "Shit, DRACO!" Harry shouted as he ran to her body to check if she had a pulse. Which he found just as Draco ran in the room followed by blaise. Draco froze at the sight of his fiance lying on the floor. "Draco you need to floo St Mungos to get someone out here" harry spoke fast as he picked up her body and carried her over to the bed. "Draco Now!" But Draco did not move instead his eyes were fixed to the pool of blood on the cream carpet. Blaise looked at Harry before nodding and ran out the room. "Hermione sweet heart you need to wake up for me" harry spoke as he slapped her cheek softly. "Come on hermione" as he checked her pulse again. Harry glanced at Draco who was still frozen by the doorway. "Drac-"
Harry started just as blaise burst through the door way with a healer"
"I'm Healer Jane can you tell me what happened son" the small plump Healer said as she ran towards hermione. "Err I don't know she came back here a couple of hours ago and we've just come back to see if she was ok because she's five months pregnant and I found her on the floor over there" harry pointed at the blood on the floor. "Oh dear... Right she needs to go to St Mungos straight away" she spoke fastly at harry as she waved her wand towards hermione so that she rose from the bed a couple of inches and followed behind the healer and into the fireplace. "You I need you to come with me" she pointed at harry. Harry glanced over to Draco but he was no longer in the room. Harry nodded and climbed into the fireplace with the healer. Harry appeared through the fireplace in St mungos hospital and followed the healer down the hall. He turned the corner to find Draco and Ginny sat in the waiting room opposite the room the healer took hermione into "I'm afraid you're going to have to wait here" she said in a stern voice before closing the door behind her. "Harry is she going to be ok? Draco came to get me he hasn't spoke to me at all he just dragged me into the fireplace and we were here." Ginny spoke as she let tears roll down her cheeks. "She'll be fine this is 'mione we're talking about" he kissed her and they sat down next to Draco silently.
2 hours past and no one heard a thing except the dozen of healers running in and out of the room. Draco was looking at the floor mumbling something to his self that you could only make out phrases like "she's going to be ok"Ginny had fell asleep with her head on Harrys shoulder. The door opened and out stepped the healer Jane. Draco looked up from the floor and stood up. she gave Draco a small smile and patted him on the shoulder. "She's fine. In a coma unfortunately but she's stable." Harry sighed with relief but Draco still looked alarmed. "Well how long is she going to be in the coma?" He sneered at her, at this point Ginny was awake. she walked over to Draco and placed a hand on his shoulder. The healer looked at Draco with pity. "Not to worry sonny she'll only be in there a couple of days. Just suffering a mild concussion"
"See Draco she's going to be ok" Ginny said softly as she kissed his cheek. "What about the babies" Harry spoke up. "Are they going to be ok?"
"Oh yes yes they're fine healthy in fact"
They all sighed in relief.
4 days had past and Hermione had not giving any sign of waking up. "Draco you need to go home mate, get some sleep" Blaise patted his shoulder. "I'm not leaving her side until I know she's ok" Draco who was still wearing the clothes he had on when he found her, muttered as he stared at the ceiling. Blaise Ginny and Harry were sat on the other side of hermione, Glanced at each other. "Draco you need sleep, just go for a couple of hours please" Ginny said nervously looking at his pale face that had stubble now growing. "No! What happens and I leave her and something happens to her or the babies? What would I tell Eden, you lot just don't understand" he shouted as he stood up and began pacing the room. "Draco they're right, you need some sleep" Draco froze and turned towards Hermione who was now awake smiling at him sleepily. "Hermione.. You're ok" He ran to her bedside and kissed every inch of her face. Harry kissed her hands with a tear in his eye. "'Mione who did this to you?" Harry said a little while later after everyone had said hello and the healer came to visit. Hermione looked shocked before breaking down into tears. "R ron d did it h he said that he ddidnt want t to be second best to d draco and then he s started hitting me h harry I couldn't do anything and.. and then he slammed my h head into the dresser" Ginny went bright red with anger. "Ill kill him!" Draco stood up to leave before Hermione cried out. "No! Draco p please don't leave m me" she sobbed Draco hesitated for a second before sitting back at hermiones side trying to calm her down. He glanced at Harry who simply nodded and left the room before hermione could protest.
Harry came out of the fire place to be greeted by Ron sat on the sofa twirling his wand. "Ahh, here you are Harry took you long enough or has she just awoken" he flashed harry a smile before standing up. "Ron how could you do this? This is hermione we are talking about" harry stood his ground as Ron came face to face with him. "How could I do this? Well after what you and her said about me in the daily profit what was it? Oh yes 'he left us in the forest for 12 days we thought he had given up'. And then when I heard about that slut having a malfoy child well thats when I burst" he said through gritted teeth as he moved away from harry. "She had what was coming to her" he pointed his wand at harry, not noticing the fire place roar once again. "Cruc-" Ron shouted. "Sectumsempra!" A voice cried behind Harry. Harry watched as the spell hit Ron in the stomach. Ginny lowered her wand and walked over to her brother who was panting on the floor. "Ginny" he breathed heavily looked at his little sister with fear. "Don't you ever go near Hermione again or Ronald I promise you.. Ill kill you" she sneered before shooting another spell at him "and don't you ever point your wand at my husband again" she turned her back on Ron. "Take him away boys" 3 aurors on which harry noticed as his co workers rounded on Ron chained him up and apparated away. "You're brilliant do you know that" Harry smiled as she kissed his cheek. "Yes. You might off mentioned it once before"
