Hey Everyone! I'm Shyzah and this is my first fanfiction. I've always wanted to write my own story of the events of sword art online but never got around to it. After reading a fair few i finally decided to do something about it and start writing. Not realizing just how much fun this was.

A few things to point out. This is still based in Aincrad however the main adaptions from Alicization will come into play. Which means players will get tired, feel pain, blood, etc. As to many of the players this is real life so to speak. Equipping and un-equipping is as simple as removing the item from yourself, again just like Alicization. there's still an inventory and all that, just think of it as a QOL change. Eventually Asuna and Kirito will become codependent to each other. Two ropes entwined into a knot that refuses to let go. this will cause many changes throughout with many consequences from their actions. I will add more character tags when they're about to show up or have so already.

The characters are aged up as i feel like it's necessary for the later comings of the story i have planned. There will be no smut or anything like that as i don't really enjoy writing that. however there will still be moments here and there, but nothing extreme

Anyway I hope you enjoy, it might be rough which i expect it to be. However, i feel as though this will improve as the story goes on. Please feel free to leave a review/comment as those would be much appreciated and help improve the story as it progresses. Thanks all, enjoy.

Waking up around thousands upon thousands of people isn't really the ideal way of waking up. It's weird yes, but Kirito's more confused than anything. Slowly lifting his eyes, he feels a massive pain shoot through his head, then…. nothing. as if it never happened. He slowly sits up and looks around noticing others doing the same thing. There's rustling and movement all around. Some scratching their heads, others staying on the ground and just staring into the open skies. Kirito didn't recognise anyone around him except for one thing, everyone was confused. Some even arguing with others trying to get somewhat of an explanation and understanding.

Kirito started to observe himself noting everyone is wearing the same sort of clothes. Nothing fancy or over the top but more like armour, gear to protect himself. Kirito put his thoughts to the side and went to stood noticing the hp bar on the top left of his vision. It had a level and numbers next to it. "Level 1 and 250HP. What? What is all this?" Kirito said to himself.

Another person stood up next to him rubbing his bandanna over his red hair. "I…I don't have a clue." Klein replied turning his attention to the other people who have started to move about. Either panicking, crying, yelling and some just accepting as they walk away. "But looks like we're all in the same boat huh?" Kirito slowly nodded. Turning his gaze to the others that are starting to walk away.

"Maybe we find some open space to talk about our situation." Kirito gestured pointing towards an alley where no one else had been. They both nodded and headed towards the alley taking a seat on the dry ground. "You remember your name? age? How we got here? Anything?" Kirito asked in quite a calm voice. Even though his mind was racing with question he really wanted answered, however he knew panicking and rushing wouldn't help. It might even scare the person his with which didn't seem like a smart move.

"Ahh no. Not a clue. All I remember is waking up with a massive pain in my head then nothing." Klein replayed again itching his headband. "How about you? You seem pretty calm in this shit storm of a situation we're in." Klein could only chuckle a laugh. In reality he was kind of freaking out feeling as though he's left something behind back at the centre.

"I..I think my name is Kirito, and to be honest with you I'm sort of freaking out. I think I know just how to hide it." Kirito rest hit arm on top of his perched leg looking each way of the alley as if he was being careful.

"Ha-ha, wish I had that skill of yours. But hold on how do you even remember your name?" Klein asked giving his full attention to Kirito then noticing something in his vision. "Wait what's this bar in front of me and what's a Klein? The hell is going on right now?"

"I can only assume that's our names." Kirito implied clapping his hands over Kleins mouth. "And keep your voice down, I don't know why but I feel like we should be careful and keep ourselves hidden." Klein pushed Kirito off him and gave a shrug.

"Look I'm sorry if I'm a bit panicky but can you blame me? Like come on man." Klain crossed his arms and continued observing the weird bar in from of him. Kirito on the other hand was looking around and noticed the green symbol floating above his head. He then went to the alley corner and noticed another person behind a shop, but this person had none whatsoever. "Hey, you have any idea on what that floaty green thingy above your head?"

Kirito noted to himself that he also had one. "I'm about to find out." He says as he walks out of the alleyway towards the shop keeper. "Ahhhh….Hi?" Kirito gave a soft wave before a menu popped up in front of him.

"How're ya going sunny? Anything a young adventure like yourself would like to buy?" the woman gestured with her hands out smiling. Kirito was a bit weirded out but looked at the menu in from of him. Potion. Just a single potion. Kirito eyed the shopkeeper again raising his eyebrow.

"Would you happen to know where we are?" Kirito asked dismissing the menu. Klein followed suit curious himself.

"Sure! You're in the beautiful town of beginnings. Home and safe haven to all."

"We've lost our memories and are trying to figure out what's going on. Has the same thing happened to you? Kirito asked pushing Klein to the side signalling he was too close. No response. "Um excuse me, hello?"

"How're ya going sunny? Anything a young adventure like yourself would like to buy?" the woman repeated as the menu again appeared in front of Kirito and now this time Klein. Now Kirito was really confused, why would she just ignore him like that? Did she hear correctly? Did I say it loud enough?

"Wait what the hell? Why the hell do we need a potion for? What does it even do? Klein asked as he bought a potion. "Where the hell did it even go?"

Kirito noticed the purchase went through but was never given a potion. "She's not like us. You see how she doesn't have that green symbol and how she didn't even respond to one of my questions. She just repeated her first words to me, and the menu popped up again." Kirito said as he himself buys a Potion. He notices on the bottom right a new menu popped up reading "1xHealth Potion. Slide hand down to view more." Kirito did as instructed and a new menu popped up showing more details about himself and a map viewing the area. This somewhat didn't surprise Kirito as it felt pretty natural to him, muscle memory even, as if he's done this countless times.

Klein mimicked Kirito as another menu popped up in front of him revealing the same info. Klein tugged the tip of his bandanna looking as confused as ever. "What is all this? God it's making my brain hurt" Klein started going over the menu pressing random things trying to get a grasp of the situation.

Kirito somewhat did the same thing but slowly read through it all, he noticed he knew where certain things were and quite easily navigated through it. So, this is my inventory…that means my stats should be over here. Kirito widen his eyes when he was in fact correct on where info on his stats were. "Why do I know where stuff is?

Klein stopped to look at Kirito as his menu opened on his friends list showing a list of names being highlighted as Online. "Hmm? What are you getting at? How could you possibly know that?"

"I….I don't really know, but this feels way to familiar" Kirito mumbled going through more of the menu and finding settings then nodded when he noticed one of the sections is just….blank. "I cannot really explain it. Maybe after some time our memories will come back."

"I'd hope so…besides it looks like I have a few friends already somewhere around here. I think I'm going to go look for them, see if they have any idea or any recollection of this mess." Klein looked at the onyx black eyes staring right back at his. Feeling nothing but guilt behind those eyes knowing what's about to happen. "I think I already know the answer to this but still thought I should ask…do you want to come with me? Maybe they could even help us out."

Kirito felt the lump in his throat starting to hurt. A feeling in his chest telling him to back down and run, maybe if it was just him, he'd go with him, but a whole bunch of others? What is this feeling? Why does a group make me shudder and flinch? Am I scared? Worried? Kirito looked away and looked down to his feet. He felt like something was pulling him down the track, forcing him to go and never look back. As if telling him to hurry before anyone else gets there.

"I'm sorry but…somethings telling me to go solo. There's something pulling me towards something, and I want to figure out what that is." Kirito feels like he might regret making this decision but until then he needs to figure out what this pull feeling is. Kirito pushes his thoughts of regret to the side and starts to walk off.

Klein grabs his arm which makes Kirito flinch. "Don't feel bad about it ok? We've only just met after all." Klein lets go and looks on the first person he's contacted beginning to walk away. "Just look after yourself ya hear?"

Kirito merely walked off until he turned the corner and went off into a mad sprint. "Yeah, you too" Kirito said under his breath as he looked out to the gates of the town. He didn't stop. Making a dash out to the fields as a wolf like beast appears in front of him, Kirito unsheathes his sword and raises it high up shoulder height and it begins to glow a teal colour. Kirito smirked as (Sonic Leap) triggers, pushing him forward in an instant, right through the side of the wolf. The wolf tumbles over and Kirito stumbles to get his footing. He hears a glass like shatter noise and a menu pops up in front of him.

Kirito again smiled starting to understand how this world works and somehow knowing the end result. "This is going to really hurt my head later." Kirito giggled to himself as more wolfs snarled at him and started to surround him. "Let's see how far I can go."

As night starts to hit the sky Kirito couldn't help but look up. It was so pretty. Flashing stars littered the night sky illuminating the area. Kirito thought to himself even though it looked so amazing it felt reachable…as if it wasn't as high as it seemed. Kirito shook his head letting the thoughts drift away as he enters a small town known as Horunka.

"Have I been here before? It all looks so familiar." Kirito asks himself as he walks to a certain building two story building not too far from the centre. He stops right outside the door clenching his hand into a fist. "Why do I feel so tense?" Kirito let go of his grip and took a few deep breaths before knocking on the door. No answer. "Hello?" Again, no answer.

Kirito turns the door handle noticing it's been left unlocked and takes a step inside into a nice coasty little house with the fire warming up the area with little sparks and pops here and there. Kirito hears nasty coughing coming from one of the beds in the side room and sees a little girl breathing heavily. Her mother sitting in a chair next to her feeling her temperature. Kirito notices a exclamation mark on top of the women's head.

"Hey, is she doing ok? Kirito worriedly asked noticing the gasps between her breaths. The women slowly shook her head as a tear began to form in her eyes.

"I'm afraid the worst is to come of her, my poor daughter." The mother gently grabbed her daughters hand showing her loving support.

"Is there anything I could do to help? Kirito stood dumbfounded, kneeling in front of the women. He saw the exclamation mark turn into a question mark as the women turned towards Kirito.

"My husband left a few days ago looking for a certain flower, quite a rare flower that is meant to treat all." The women looked over her daughter as the moonlight shines over the sick little girl. As if it's trying to help in some or another. "But I fear the worst from him as the goofball forgot his sword."

Kirito looked over to the sword and noticed it's beauty. It was a magnificent sword way better than the one he had now. "I'll get the flower for you Ma'am, it's the least I could do." Kirito whispered to the women as he began to walk towards the door. A menu popped up asking if Kirito wants to accept the quest. With no hesitation Kirito selects yes and goes to open the door.

"You'll be doing me a great service swordsman." The women sobbed as endless tears streamed down her face as she lowers her head to her daughter's side. After Kirito embraces the loving but horrible sight before him, he closes the door behind him and starts to walk off towards the direction his map was leading him.

Kirito began to think back to the loving mother. Who had given up hope for her daughter, expecting the worst as she helplessly stays there with her. Just in case the worst comes into reality, she won't be alone. Kirito began to wonder about his parents…his family. He has no clue what they looked like, or if he even has any at all. It felt kind of lonely.

Kirito shook his head before the bad thoughts came into his mind, before he started feeling bad for himself, he had a little girl to save. A young girl and a mother whom he never knew yet he felt like he had to save at all costs. What drove Kirito he didn't know, all he knew was that he couldn't just stand around and do nothing, he couldn't help himself…he had to save her.

On the way up along the bendy cliffside Kirito looked out to the view in front of him seeing the town of beginnings lights flicker out into the distance. He stopped and took it all in not realising the breath he held onto. He couldn't help but acknowledge the sight in front of him. as the stars flickered above, he looked to his side and noticed a clearing along the path.

"That's where it's telling me to go, huh?" Kirito asked himself as he took one final look out into the distance. I'll find out what this all means…I'll find out who I am or who I was. Kirito took off to the forest clearing and looked around finding a rusty helmet and some stripped leather armour. Must of belong to the father without a doubt. Doesn't look like he made it. But, where's the body?

Kirito looked around and walked deeper into the forest, nothing but an eerie silence as the leaves rustle along the wind. On the corner of his eye, he saw movement, again thinking it was just a bush blowing along the wind. He was mistaken as the tall Plant lunged and tried to take a large chunk out of Kirito. He instantly jumped back and took hold of his sword. A health bar and a name appeared above its head. Little Nepenthes. Kirito started using (Vertical) and took out a chunk of the Nepenthes HP nearly one hitting it.

"Ok so they're pretty weak. What's the catch?" Kirito mumbled to himself as another Little Nepenthes jumped out behind him, then another. Kirito realized the predicament he could find himself in if he stayed. He created some distance from himself and the Nepenthes deciding to take them one on one. He makes a basic swing towards the already injured Nepenthes making it cry out in pain before exploding into hundreds of particles. Kirito then looked towards the last two Little Nepenthes and noticed there was a difference between the two. One had nothing above its head while the last one had a flower. Wait a flower? That must be it.

Kirito decided to leave that one to last and quickly disposed of the other as it again exploded. He cast another (Vertical) then swung his sword cutting into it in a clean cross, again it exploded with a results screen appearing in front of Kirito but, there was no flower. Kirito looked over it again just to be sure. No flower. Kirito guessed he was on the correct path as he looked into his HUD noticing the "Quest Objective" description appear just below "Kill Little Nepenthes's for Mystic flower: 0/1" Kirito couldn't help but chuckle. It's all got to do with luck. This somewhat made Kirito feel uneasy, he felt as though he's never been lucky when it comes to chance.

Kirito looked towards his clock noticing he's been at this for three hours straight. It now being 1am he thought to himself. Am I doing something wrong? Am I even at the right place? Kirito again looked at his map and nodded. He was in the correct place, and he was killing the correct creatures which just so happen to summon out of thin air which Kirito seemed to find odd. Where were they coming from? Kirito didn't let this trouble him as he killed another Little Nepenthes revealing a results screen over him. No flower…again.

Kirito shrugged it off, it's bothersome, however he was earning Cor for each kill which helped, also EXP which he noticed was important. He noticed he "Levelled Up" at the beginning while being here which made him stronger. Now being Level 4, he now could one hit the Little Nepenthes which made things a whole lot easier. Kirito decided to sit down on a fallen tree by the cliffside again taking in the view. He didn't realise just how tired and worn out he'd become. His eyes began to close, too heavy to keep open no matter how much Kirito tried to hold. He thought about the little girl again and the mother who put all their hope onto him. He had to keep going.

Kirito shook his head then clapped his face, taking a few deep breaths he told himself to get up and keep going and not to stop once he finds that flower. Kirito heard movement behind him and quickly turning around and taking a step back while reaching for his sword, noticing he was a step away from falling to his death.

"Woah, chill their dude." A young man recoiled at the sudden freakout. Kirito let down his guard now knowing it wasn't another one of those plant monsters. "You're after the flower too, yeah?" the young man was holding his hands up his chest showing he wasn't holding any weapon or hiding anything.

Kirito looked at the man oddly. He had the same gear, so that must mean he's like him. "Yeah, I'm guessing you're here to help the little girl as well?" Kirito asked walking away from the cliffs edge.

"That must mean you're a beta-tester too, yeah, I'm after the same thing. Nobody would be out here this quickly unless they were a beta-tester." The man Implied as he held up his hand to offer Kirito a handshake. "I don't really care about the girl to be honest, just doing this so I can get the sword."

"Beta-tester?" Kirito questioned under his breath; he pushed the thought to the side after he heard that the guy didn't care for the girl. "What do you mean you don't care? She could die you know." The man just looked at him in a confused look.

"Are you a beta-tester?" The man asked still holding out his hand.

"What the hell is a beta-tester?" Kirito snapped starting to get annoyed from the man's weird wording.

The man looked down and sighed, putting his hand down knowing he won't be getting that handshake. "The names Coper, I'm a beta-tester. It's the only memories I have up to the 5th floor." The man now known as Coper looked towards Kirito. "You haven't slept yet, have you?" Kirito simply shook his head, feeling irritated he has to waste his time being in the unknown when he could have used this time to be looking for the flower.

"That explain that." Coper chuckled crossing his arms. "This is all a game man, none of this is real. Once you get some sleep, you'll understand what I'm talking about since you're also a beta-tester and all." Coper again just chuckled at the confused look Kirito was giving him. "Only beta-testers are getting their memories of this game back for some reason. After they take a nap that is. To be honest I'm surprised you made it all the way out here without even knowing what to do."

Kirito merely snarled at Coper thinking he was crazy. But Kirito remembered that tugging feeling he had at the town of beginnings towards this place, and the strange feeling he had when he arrived at Horunka, feeling as if he's been there before. What was it called…DeJa'Vu? "So, what if what you're saying is true, I'm not leaving here until I get that flower."

Coper nodded beginning to think he's right. "Yeah, you're a beta-tester alright." Coper again pulled out his offering another handshake. "You're here just like me for the sword, the Annual Blade!" Coper was acting as though this Annual Blade was the best sword to ever exist. "How about we party up? This Flower is a massive pain in the ass when it comes to drop chance and I imagine you've been here for a few hours. So, let's work together. What do you say?"

Kirito finally looked towards the hand that gestured towards his own for him to shake. Kirito thought about it and couldn't find any reason not to accept. He took his hand into Copers and shook it. "Fine." He merely jabbed. Coper when through his menu and sent Kirito an invite to join his party. Kirito accepted and noticed the extra bar underneath his own. At least he didn't lie about his name. Kirito knew he couldn't let down his guard fully although as it stands having two people look for the flower at the same time would be way faster.

After a good hour Kirito finally got the flower, sighing a huge sigh of relief Kirito looked over to Coper who was still fighting a few Nepenthes as they exploded. Coper still not happy he hasn't gotten the flower and looks over at Kirito, noticing he's holding the flower in hand. Kirito notices he now knows he found one and quickly notices each other's HP. Kirito only losing 1/3 while Coper is in the deep yellow. Coper chuckles to himself.

"Of course, it's you who finds the flower first. This is such a pain in the ass." Coper shrugged leaning on his sword as it digs into the dirt. Kirito just looked over at Coper, not understanding why he's so conflicted about him getting it first.

Kirito leaves the party and adds the flower into his inventory. This caused Coper to tremble and wonder what Kirito was getting at. He was meant to also help him get one, wasn't he? He sees Kirito begin to walk away without saying bye. "Just where do you think you're going?" Coper warned as he picks up his sword and points it to Kirito. "Just because you got one doesn't mean you just walk away. You said you'd help me."

Kirito turned around, confused at the behaviour Coper was sending his way. "I never said anything like that." Kirito shot back feeling irritated by Coper. "You said to party up and look for the flower, you never specified on we had to get multiple." Kirito just glared his way challenging his stare. "Besides the little girl only needs one. Who knows how long she has left."

Coper felt anger build up inside of him. "Don't turn my words against me. Also did you not listen to a word I said before? This is all a GAME!" Coper was getting more pissed off the more this went on. "Nothing here's real."

"So, what if it is!?" Kirito spat back, clenching his hands in fists. "This is nothing like a game to me, and I'm not going to let a little girl get killed on the off chance this is real or not. I refuse to sit around and do nothing when there's someone I can save. My conscience won't allow that." Kirito now putting a hand onto his sword, not unsheathing it yet.

Coper pulled his sword out of the dirt and looked to the side. A few meters away he noticed a Nepenthes a bit smaller than the others with a red fruit hanging over its head. He turned back to Kirito who was just dead eyeing him. "You've lost it you know that right? If you want to compare a game to real life that's on you, but don't drag others into your deranged reality."

Kirito tensed; sensing Coper was about to do something stupid. Either attack him or something to do with that unique looking Nepenthes. Either outcome seemed bad. Coper jumped to the side towards the Nepenthes are attacked it with a Vertical instantly killing it, this one felt different, however. It stayed standing for a while realising an ear-piercing scream. It finally exploded, then, silence.

"What did you do!?" Kirito yelped as he took his hands off his ears. Coper merely smirked. Kirito starring daggers at him and pulled out his sword. Luckily, he did as Nepenthes's appeared all around the both of them. Ten? Twenty? No, it might even be fifty.

Coper went through his inventory and equipped a hooded cloak. Looking towards a tree and took a knee. Kirito took his eyes off for a second and could no longer see him. "HEY!" Kirito growled noticing the severity of his situation. A Nepenthes sprang up and went to take a chomp from Kirito's left arm. As Kirito was busy fighting off a Nepenthes on his right he couldn't react in time. The Nepenthes bit down hard on Kirito's left arm, causing Kirito to scream in pain. He quickly swung his sword into the Nepenthes head causing the Nepenthes to let go of its grip and stumble backwards. Kirito quickly attacked with a Vertical killing it instantly.

Kirito groaned and held to his left arm, looking at the bit mark that pierced his skin causing blood to flow down his arm. Even though it hurt like hell Kirito noticed it barely caused any damage to his HP bar. He jumped back till his foot was once again near the cliffs edge. "Come on! Let's get this over with." Kirito roared at the multiple Nepenthes.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT!" Kirito heard a screen from the distance, not just any scream…a horrified deafening scream. No sooner a sound of shattered glass was heard, the Nepenthes scattered off. Kirito saw through the gap of the Nepenthes where Coper must have been. Nothing there but a blood-soaked tree. Kirito felt a stone-cold shiver run down his spine. Is that his coming fate? To be eaten alive by horrific big, mouthed plants? Kirito shook his head and refused to die here, not like this.

Another Nepenthes lunged towards Kirito instantly making Kirito jump to the right, as soon as his foot touched that ground a big red cross hovered over the ground. When both feet were planted the ground instantly gave way, his body fell through, Kirito yelped in panic as his back slammed into multiple branches, snapping them as soon as he hit them. He kept falling till he finally hit the ground.

Kirito gasped for the lost breath he struggled to take as the last fall winded him. His back was in agony. He couldn't move or even look around. In the only direction he can only see he saw all the Nepenthes running towards the cliffside sloped road heading down his way.

Kirito's head thumped; he was helpless for a second. "Come on! GET UP!" Kirito groaned as tried to force his body up. He screamed in agony as he sat himself up taking a few breaths. The HP bar was in the deep red, blinking rather. Opening his inventory, he looked for a potion and gulped it down, regretting the awful taste Kirito nearly gagged, but his HP bar said otherwise as it began to increase back into the yearly, nearly into the green. Kirito looked to the left and saw a train of Nepenthes storming his way. Slowly standing up Kirito noticed he was in where near the same pain as what he was in.

Good to know the Potions do more than just heal the HP bar. A grunt and will alone forced Kirito to push out to a slow jog, as he got used to the pain, he picked up the pace slowly the pain getting more painful, it was manageable. Not stopping he follows the path down to Horunka where a little girl was waiting for her special flower.

The (Annual Blade). Even at first glance you could tell this was no ordinary sword. The weight felt just right as Kirito gave it a few practice swings before sheathing it onto his back. To Kirito it felt like he found a part of himself without knowing something was missing. After Kirito gave the mother the flower, she added it into a soup and quickly gave it to the little girl. Immediately she felt better with only a smile to show her gratitude. The mother however was in tears of joy, she glanced over to Kirito and took his hand, thanking him considerably. She pulled off the sword which hung from the wall and presented it to Kirito.

"This used to be my husband's sword, it wouldn't do much but collect dust just sitting here." The women began teary eyed as she went back to her daughter's side. "I can't thank you enough swordsman."

"Thank you, sir." The girl smiled. Closing her eyes.

Kirito simply nodded to took that as a sign for him to be on his way. He walked out and headed towards a small inn in the middle of town, booked a single room and went to lie down. Thinking back to Coper. Kirito could still hear the scream. Not a scream of someone who was scared or terrified, more like a scream of death. The reminder sent a shiver down Kirito's spine.

That could have been me. Kirito thought to himself. If it wasn't for that trap, he most likely wouldn't have made it out of there alive. Wait, trap? Why was that the first initial thought to come up? The edge just gave way, right? Kirito thought back, remembering the big red circle with a cross that appeared as soon as he touched the ground before it gave way.

"I'll remember if I sleep huh?" Kirito questioned Coper's words. Was what Coper was talking about really be the truth? Even so that wasn't reason for him to try to kill me like that just because I couldn't remember. Well pondering on it won't help might as well get some sleep now if that's all I had to do. Closing his eyes, he didn't realise just how tired he was, his body felt heavy and after a minute or two he was fast asleep.

Waking up on the cold hard ground wasn't the best place to sleep. The back hurt, the neck hurt…everything hurt. Worst of all? Waking up around hundreds of drowsy bodies steadily waking up isn't ideal either.

Asuna sat up slowly gripping her head as a thumping headache came through. "Wh-What's going on?" Asuna asked to no one in particular. She looked around trying her best to see something familiar that could refresh her memory but to no avail.

Noticing other people either getting up and walking around, some even just walking off while others even helping others to their feet.

"You alright down there?" asked a tall man. Asuna took cation. It's not like he's doing anything wrong, rather what he was doing was quite thoughtful compared to others who just simply walked away. But why the sudden feel of unease? And why was he asking her when there were plenty of others around? Was this what gave her cation?

"I'm fine, thank you." Asuna responded trying to act as polite as she could in this bizarre situation.

The man stood closer to Asuna. "Here let me help you up." The man offered, kneeling down giving his hand towards Asuna's arm. Asuna flinched her arm back.

"No, I'm alright, thanks anyway." Asuna declined picking herself up to her feet before taking a step back.

Why am I so cautious right now? He's offering help and I'm just blatantly being rude about it. Is it because I don't know where I am or even have any memory at all of anything? My arm flinching was like second nature, muscle memory even. I'll figure this out later. For now, I need to get out of here.

"I was only trying to help." The man snapped. "There's no need to be so defensive." The man too another step closer. "Just accept the offer next time."

Asuna's eyebrows lowered and she was now starring daggers into his. "Just because you offered to help doesn't mean I'm obliged to accept it without reason." Asuna barked back again taking another step back. "there's other people who obviously need help, help them instead of pressing the issue further."

The man took two steps forward and grabbed Asuna's arm, pulling her closer towards him. "Maybe so, but at least have the decency to accept and apologies for how you're acting when someone's trying to help you."

Asuna retracted back trying to get her arm away from the man's grip. He was holding on so tight it was starting to hurt. "How is your ego so high that you think everyone has to accept and apologise to you?" Asuna pulled back again, the man still refusing to let go.

A menu popped up in front of Asuna with a header reading (Harassment code Violation) (Teleport player away?) (YES?) (NO?) Asuna without hesitation selected yes and she instantly felt her arm come back to her. The man's grip no longer taking hold as she sees the man being teleported away. Asuna looked around and noticed a whole bunch of others were just starring.

Asuna looked away and run out of the square making it down a few alleyways where she found a bunch of wooden crates sitting there. She went to take cover behind then and took a seat. Back leaning against the wall with the wooden creates hiding her. She didn't know where she was or how to get back. Like that mattered anyway.

"Why would I want to go back there anyway." Asuna asked herself. Getting her breath back as she tries to make sense of all this. I don't remember a thing. Not where I came from or how I was meant to be. No name. No…nothing. Yet I knew the dangers of a situation I had no clue how it could have gone. I didn't know myself, but my body did…strange."

Asuna continued to sit there dwelling things over as tears slowly dribbled down her cheeks. She tried her best to hold it. She didn't know why she was crying. She knew nothing of her surroundings, nothing about her. She just felt so lost…so…alone.

She wiped the tears from her face and took a few deep breaths. "I've had my moment, now it's time to find some answers." Asuna told herself. Getting up off the floor. She walked out of the dark alley finding another livelier alley with shops stalls layered across the whole street. Some for food such as; fruit, bread and vegetables. While others had weapons, armor and even everyday clothes.

Walking down the alley and seeing the busy market in action as people bought various different things Asuna decided buy some stuff for herself. She tried to talk to one of the merchants but didn't get very far. Only little responses here and there, some even repeating what they originally said. When buying some dry bread she went through the new 'menu' as it's called and tried her best in understanding it.

After some time the sun began to set and Asuna started to worry. Where could she sleep for the night? Asuna opened her map and noted to on the corner on the map menu read "Town Of Beginnings - Main". She looked through the map noticing the little pins scattered around, each one signaling what each area was and what particular building something was.

"Food, food, food and more food…just how many restaurant and food stalls were in this town?" Asuna pondered over the map using her fingers to move the map around. Until she found a pin with a bed symbol. Asuna pressed down on the pin and selected track. Faint arrows appeared in her vision heading towards the inn. Asuna chuckled to herself noticing just how handy this was, she didn't have to constantly look at her map to know if she turned down the wrong path.

Asuna found the inn with no issues and got a single room for herself. It wasn't much but it was enough just for a few nights, as she began to undress she noticed the sword that was still attached to her hip. She completely forgot she even had a sword. She placed it against the wall and crawled into bed throwing the sheets over her. Curling up as she again felt alone. Asuna could hear some footsteps coming and going behind her door which didn't help her nerves. Zoning them out Asuna closed her eyes and tried her best to sleep it off.

"I just want to go home…" Asuna whispered as she drifted off to sleep, not even noticing what she just said.
